Introduction & warning

***Summon up your philosophical side before perusing this book. There are strong metaphysical and abstract approaches to this narrative***

FIXING A GLITCH ends the possibility of an alien ever realizing his destiny. He resurrects her from her scattered memories. The only trouble is that she is a prime image of his dark but gifted side. One sustains mysticism, and another promotes prosperity. On the way to standardizing the earthly state, he ends the bodily dependency of the human species.

Extinction of our species is possible not by natural disasters or inventions but by a fabricated organic phenomenon. What if it becomes a certainty, and we can’t tell the difference between real and virtual? It may be that our indigenous intelligence is our savior that puts a stop to our thought-driven obsession with progress. Who’s to say that our knight in shining armor is not an alien race. In the end, it may just be a random stroke of luck that saves us.

Trip forward with SamVeer Eckhart into events of a parallel Earth. To find out if he succeeded in his infatuated undertaking. The risks are endless, even if the end is the same.

Exchange – As articulated heavily in my previous work, my metaphysical viewpoint conceptualized another way to communicate – waving. This model is used in the following story and is bolded and italicized to keep it separate from typical ‘thinking’ expressions.

Triggers – This story has a radical take on many societal & religious customs. If you are a victim of rape, incest, or opinionated on the subject of sex workers, please walk away. This book seeks a diverse perspective on such matters.

This is a standalone work of fiction and can be read on its own. i$UBSCRIBE – Gen Verismo Genesis is the concluding take from the ALL KAAL NONE series chapter – Human Eradication.

In an undetermined time, possibly the 21st century, the line between reality and virtual reality has become indistinguishable, so with the Earth seemingly on the brink of collapse due to the weight and abuse of the planet by humanity, the apparent arrival of a non-human party or parties appears to go unnoticed and as they go about their business, this humble reader wondered were they here to destroy us, or save us! ..and/or indeed were they really here? And was this blurred line between reality and virtual reality truly man-made; or as the book blurb says was it a 'fabricated organic phenomenon', and if so, who created it, where did it come from?

A writer that is deemed to "contrast romance, science, supernatural, mythology and metaphysics" doesn't hold back in this truly mind-bending read, where despite clear chapter headings identifying the main character of each chapter, it still takes about a quarter of each chapter to work out what is really going on. This sci-fi/speculative fiction led story kept me guessing and on my toes throughout and was/is complex and entertaining enough for me to want to read the first two books in this series, and this one again. This is one of those reads where the meta physical topics discussed by the characters had me off deep thinking, which I enjoyed. A truly a mind-bending and complex read. A re-read is needed, but for now this one gets a 7 out of 12, Three Stars, a book that takes sci-fi to a meta physical level and keeps the reader guessing throughout.

I should add my Goodreads friends and writer of this book added this great insight below in the comments, P.B. Flower:
It is my most abstract narration which points to all the ideas we are subscribed to. And that we are nothing but ideas we identify with, no different from a machine that has coded concepts.

Just finished P.B Flower's Sci-fi "i$uscribe" and let me tell you one thing, It will not let you be indifferent!
First of all, I understand that this work is not for everybody, not only for the triggers the author mention at the beginning of the book, but I also think you have to be very used to read hard Sci-fi works with tons of philosophical and metaphysical references to face it, something that I really like.

The author presents a futuristic story between high and low classes where the high class ends up being much much more of what it seems. The philosophical discussions presented by the author are embedded in the story providing it sense and depth. Some of the discussions the characters had reminded me of Orson Scott Card's latter works within the story of Ender's Game.

Regarding the writing style, I found it a little difficult at the beginning but soon you get used to it. The use of some (explanatory) images throughout the episodes also help to provide the vision of the author to what's happening in the story, which I found enlightening.

5* review is my final output to this very elaborated and crafted work.

While browsing the most difficult to read books on Goodreads, this one caught my attention. I reasonably agree. The author has changed her manner of writing, improving heavily. It is abstruse revealing its depth only just with each chapter. Thought and Self are the central theme of this complex story. Main character is self-assured and with sound reasoning. Another dominating and strong lead, Victory challenges the unexceptional while appearing a disciplined human. You can count on my vote, Victory because humans are torturous with their reasoning.

It is refreshing to see the philosophical focus dominating the foundation. Romance appeared as quintessence in isolation, pronouncing it steamy. Everything considered, this is a captivating book with mountain of thought-provoking quotes that leaps the boundary of conventional reader's mind. Twists are mind blowing but covert due to the brainteaser approach PB may as well come to be known for.

The end delivers a punch line that is connotative in modesty. This is something that is consistent about PB's style, delivering a worthwhile conclusion.

This one is a tough nut to crack.

Pretty rare that I give out five stars but this book definitely deserves it, if not more. I have never come across a book anything like this. It’s intellectual without becoming boring, and also incorporates pieces of romance. This book is so weird, but in the best way possible to where it keeps you hooked in. There isn’t too much I can say without giving spoilers, but I highly recommend you to read this book. This author deserves more recognition. I will personally be checking out other books from this author, and you should too.

“i$ubscribe: Gen Verismo Genesis” written by PB Flower is a fantasy scifi novel that recently popped up on my feed. The concept and the cover looked so unique that I couldn't help downloading it.

The story revolves around SamVeer Eckhart and his designed Zeptos, artificially engineered beings set to take over humanity. Athena and Tory are the bewitching female characters that play important roles in shaping his later actions.

As this story unravels, it questions morals and challenges traditional beliefs, in a near spiritual manner which is unusual in fast paced scifi dramas.

When the Rorrim project and the idea behind it was unveiled towards the end of the book, I let out an audible gasp! There are so many nail biting moments in the book, where you kinda fret over the actions of the characters and yet cannot help rooting for them.

Recommending this book if you are craving to satisfy your curiosity of stories from parallel worlds

Unique

This is definitely a very unique mix of genres. It's a romance /sci-fi. The author doesn't have a problem bringing up Taboo topics. It's fun to read something different.

As a reader who dabbles in reading sci-fi, I enjoyed the complex world that the author created. I'm always excited to see what authors can do with world-building. The fact that PB Flower added in traditional Indian culture made it that much more interesting. Can't wait to read what she has next!

I’m having a tough time rating this book. I give it a 3.5 but not sure how to round it up.

It’s an original story and unique. I’ve loved so many quotes. It challenges the reader and blatantly exposes the social construction (and social suggestion) of nearly every facet of our lives. It requires quite an open mind to digest and ponder the ideas posed by the author. And I appreciate that. I appreciate the debate conveyed by the characters regarding our SELF, our beliefs and ideas, our perceptions, and our emotions.

However, I had a hard time reading this book. It took me forever to finish it. I found it a bit draining and tiresome to read due to the clinical style of narration and dialogue. I felt the verbiage and the phrasing of sentences did not have an organic and easy flow. Often, physical features, actions, or thoughts are described with weird and unnatural words; sentences are disrupted by weirdly placed periods; some lines of thought from the characters feel disjointed from one paragraph to the other.

I also feel that the world was not set up properly, so it was confusing to understand what was happening until almost halfway through. The disclaimer at the beginning indicated this was a standalone book, but I think reading the previous books in the series is a must to get an introduction to the setting. Maybe I would have liked it more if I had not been confused about the terminology and the characters' background of this unique world the author created.

Definitely worth reading though. It presents interesting concepts and is engaging.

I loved the reveals at the end. I loved Tory as a character, she was my favourite.

awesome

This is now the second book I’ve picked up by this author, and I’m officially binge reading. Hopefully there is a lot more where this came from because I’m ready for everything she pushes out. Sci-fi/spiritual/dystopian. Unlike anything I’ve ever read I don’t even know where to start with my excitement about it.

Having spent many years living in India, this book is near and dear to my heart, because there’s a lot of traditional Indian culture mentioned throughout, but it’s still futuristic and exciting. The main character is flawed as can be, and really relatable and easy to follow. It’s definitely a weird read, so if that’s not your thing, then move on, but you’ll be glad if you stay and check it out.

**** Spoiler Alert ****

I will be honest here. This book is different, and I have never read such a sci-fi piece. I’m not a sci-fi reader at all, so till now, I was a virgin in this field, like one of the most loved character, Athena, of this novel. Not physically but spiritually. I hope you will get my drift after reading it.

The author has created a complex world that seems extended from her previous work. Bit the storyline is independent of her previous novels. This book revolves around three central characters, SamVeer, Athena, and Tory. Athena, a human dame, falls in love with an alien race who may be a real or a replica. There is a horrendous past associated with Athena, which she explores philosophically by comparing to ethics of reality, aliens and what is right or wrong according to the perspective of time and memory frames. But during her exhibition to know herself, does she fall for the right guy? Or Does he, a god-like narcissist opinionated alien, willing to destroy the human race?

This novel explores many themes like trauma healing, pleasure movement, sexuality, incest, suicide, reality, the parallel universe, and the distorted concept of time. Have some patience to dive deep into this physiological sci-fi world and be ready to challenge your perception of society and yourSELF. I can guarantee, you will enjoy it. Remember The Matrix movie, you did not get it the first time. But everytime you watch, you notice something new and cherish, I will put this work in that category.

A recommended read if you can digest some sensitive topic or have you have an open-mind. Yes, it’s not for everyone and plot complexity and theme can awestruck you. It has meat to ponder.

4 out of 5. The author could have done a better job with settings. But it’s just a personal view.

First things first. 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for being authentic, which is an astounding feat to accomplish in this era.

This book deserves its own genre. It's not just scifi, romance, or philosophy. The author's pen name is apt here, as it's like seeing a flower bloom. You cannot box it.

The author not only presents some authentic ideas, but has a unique style of writing, that challenges the entire "subscribed" way of expressing your mind in words. I am not much of a reader at all, as I feel books are mostly an expression of the author's mind, and I am rarely interested in cliche topics which are mostly personal blogs. So it's rare to find an expression that is unique and insightful, and makes you question yourself or stop questioning anything (if you really got it).

The boldness, open mind, and the wisdom of the author is reflected throughout the book which is an expression. Be it touching the sensitive topics or world building or masterfully crafted narration, not conforming to a set rules. I loved this a lot.

You will be challenged throughout the book on ideas you subscribe to everyday, not knowing you are. There are many deep quotes in the book, witty punch lines, and twists and turns. The graphics and table in the end were a nice touch to make it complete. I liked the punch line in the end the most, and there is a steady pace at which the plot unfolds. You have to pay attention to how you react to the book 😉 whom you root for will tell a lot about yourself.

There are so many hidden elements in this book, and "getting" them will be a good litmus test for someone who I will be friends with 😆

I anticipate this turning into a cult classic, developed into series and movies for mass consumption. It just needs to get into the right hands and rest will be history. I said it first 🥇

The author took me on a ride to uncertainty, filled with turns and twists; I mean, I haven't seen such kind of writing that is this mind-bending with its diverse themes!

SamVeer Eckhart's character is a multi layered one, and as the layers peel off, you wouldn't know whether to stop to marvel or to read on obsessively to discover more!!

I loved the action sequences and the destructive plays by Sam and his demon brother D., and the camaraderie between the two is really enjoyable!

It was fun to read about characters from the author's All Kaal None Universe including Akron, from Yama Echo Maya, who plays an important part here.

Victory and Athena both intrigue your interest - Athena with her introspection of her past and her impending future with Sam, and Tory, whose character arc transforms with every new piece of information that comes her way. In the end, she is confused as to whom her loyalty would lie? She wonders "Who was I to subscribe to". The answers lie with SamVeer and we discover facets of his persona as the story unfolds.

If you are a fiction lover who likes to experiment with bold themes, look no further than this book!

Review Title: Takes the reader on a voyage of mysteries.

Illustrating various subjects like metaphysics, philosophy, and abstract thoughts; ISubscribe invites deep involvement by the reader.

"A body was not who we were but the ideas that we accrued"

Sometimes we feel like Athena, one of the lead female characters, that our actual self is trapped, fighting to get out, and that we need to be 'fixed' but even that is part of being human. The conversations between Sam and Athena prompt us to think about our inner traumas and how we subconsciously suppress it to deal with the immediate realities of life.

I liked the reference to the moon cycle and chuckled when the significance of '108' was explained to Akron by Sam. The nod to anecdotes from Hindu mythology and the most adorable form of God, incorporated into the story in Sam's narrative was a delight to read!

Make sure to check out this book to unravel the mysteries of extra terrestrial existence, sprinkled with philosophy

If our SELF could be downloaded into an engineered reprogrammable sentient being, what would be our future?
In this book, the reader confronts the possibility of external forces governed by artificial intelligence, controlling the human race.

SamVeer's Rorrim project forms the basis for human eradication and talks about why humans have been resilient for so long and their adaptability which can now be modified for a higher purpose.

I quite liked the way the author presented the changing dynamics between SamVeer and Victory from beginning to end. Love is not conventional here and while the novel makes you long for the characters to cuddle up sometimes, the writing stays true to the theme and the character attributes and you finally understand why romance is an undercurrent but can't be too apparent!

Athena's backstory was also appealing and raised philosophical questions regarding how we deal with our unpleasant memories

With lots of action, drama, with hints of mysticism, ISubscribe is an enjoyable read with a twist that gives a glimpse into our AI driven future.

I wanted to start by saying please check your triggers before reading ☺️

Now I know this won't be for everyone, but I honestly really loved this story. I loved the different references with the story. I loved the way it intrigued me at the beginning and sucked me into the story.

I loved the philosophical discussions throughout the story, and how it talked about the high and low classes which the high class ended up being something not predictable.

As you read the story gets easier to understand (in my opinion) the main character is flawed which you don't get to see a lot in books!

This story was different and weird but I loved every page of it! I can't wait to read more from this author!!

This book follows the story of an alien protagonist, whose fate hangs in the balance due to a glitch that disrupts his path to realizing his true purpose. To rectify this, he resurrects a human character from fragmented memories, an act that comes with its own set of complications. She embodies both his dark and gifted side, reflecting the dichotomy present within him. This sets the stage for a gripping and tangled relationship, as they set out on a mission to standardize the earthly state and liberate humans from their physical dependence. I found the concept to be new and refreshing and the handling of the topic and the characters was also pretty fresh. Good, fast writing and a deep hidden message in the story made it an excellent read. Highly recommended.

I loved this book. The exploration of existential themes and philosophical angles within a science fiction story is commendable. PB Flower does an excellent job of keeping the narrative fast and ever moving while never losing focus on the plot or the larger things that are there to say in this novel. The writing is also quite quirky and at places evokes a feeling of surrealism that I really liked. My only complaint is the language could have been a little simpler and certain passages felt a bit wordy. But these are small chinks that can easily be overlooked in vison of the wider storytelling. Great job. Would surely recommend.

Such a unique mix of genres and thoughtfully presented dystopian/spritual/sci-fi elements! It reminded me a bit of the Matrix and had such cool characters, just like the movie, too.

"Beggars can be dreamers if not choosers."

I picked i$ubscribe when a quote from the book on social media caught my attention. Soon I was turning the pages, fascinated by the protagonist SamVeer and his ambitions as well as 'love' affairs.

This book has every bit of mystery and fun with questions that raise introspection of the traditional concepts of reality and makes us wonder if any creatures beyond our knowledge are controlling our lives.

With several topics on aliens, a duality of mysticism and philosophy; this book evokes intense emotions that leads us to delve deeper into the complex drama weaved by the author.

This book is for you if you are a fanatic for dystopian scifi novels.

An enticing page turner that dazzles the mind! Gorgeously written and smartly entertaining.

Alien protagonist, SamVeer Eckhart, has artificially engineered a new human species by eliminating what he deems to be humanity’s worst flaw… sexual desires. He calls these mirror image creations, Zeptos.

During his research of human emotion, Sam accidentally sets in motion a series of events that lead to love, tragedy, and a project that will forever change the parallel earth where this story takes place and stun readers with its unpredictable and shocking twist.

Reading a book by P.B. Flower is always a unique and mind blowing experience. I love the way this woman thinks. Completely outside the box, she writes with creative intelligence using science, technology, and philosophical quotes to back up her ideas and make them seem perfectly plausible. She translates complicated concepts into a mesmerizing tale that’s impossible to put down.

There are so many profound streams of thought throughout this story, that I found it necessary to stop and let the concepts sink in. The author does the impossible, making her futuristic, multidimensional settings, and alien hybrid characters still feel relatable. I found the characters interesting and delightful, and they played off each other so well in this dialogue driven story. Sam and his demon half-brother D are my favourite characters, highly entertaining with their violent brotherly affection. The way they set in motion a destructive turn of events with complete apathy made the end result so much more shocking. And Sam’s love triangle with Athena and Victory, two women who couldn’t be more opposites, added a complex emotional twist, ironically exactly what Sam was trying to eradicate.

As is the story, the writing style is unique and pure genius. This book doesn’t sit still. Even though there are many deep elements peppered throughout the narrative, it still progresses at a fast pace; a unique thrill ride that is completely unpredictable and exhilarating. Beautiful detail, beautiful imagination. Beautifully imaginative.

i$uscribe by PB Flower is a sci-fi fantasy that blinded me with quantum physics and mechanics, and philosophy dipped in biological and computer sciences, and astrobiology. Enter a world where a game becomes real, “death is defined by change”, and the main characters dissect and harness humanity and control the weather like mythological gods. A blend of god, alien, and human with eyes of “ocular sorcery”, protagonist, Sam Veer Eckhart of Eckhart Inc. and his brother Dee Veer, leader of the underworld filled with demons, seek to control human life by harvesting human thoughts, memories, and physical reactions, all the while causing natural disasters on earth and objectifying women at a whole new unimaginable level. Imagine sex superpower style with an “alien suitor”.

The story is told in first person narration with each chapter written from the point of view of a different character, including females: Athena, Victory, and Citzin. The line between virtual and real is as blurry as ever in this story. It’s next to impossible to distinguish the difference between artificial intelligence and humans. In the bounds of an abstract timeline, the story develops mostly through dialogue and character thoughts. Female mc, Athena, gradually reveals her ancestry and origin to the point of her eternal circumstance in dialogue with Sam in a satisfying ending.

This mind-blowing book had me pondering a real future concern about the spread of adaptive artificial intelligence across humanity. Highly recommended for lovers of the film productions, The Matrix and Star Trek, and the book, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.

If you're a reader like me who's thoroughly bored of the same old tropes being repackaged every time, here's your cue to escape into the world of ISubscribe created by PB Flower.

Dystopian fears of an AI governed future are rendered true in this book with central characters being SamVeer, Athena, and Victory forming a love triangle that becomes entangled with the vision of the ZepRive organisation headed by Sam.

Apart from these characters, we also have some amazing bromance between Sam and his half brother from a different parallel, D., who as the author says are "Discordant as day and night, like chalk and cheese." Their modes of operations and targets are different but they work together nevertheless. The interactions were quite wittily written!

The book, at one point, questions the controversy of gender identity that's conventionally based on the concept of reproduction, and discriminated on the basis of religion and society. This indicates a need for shift in thinking that can be ushered in through technology. I quite liked this part!

I started off with this book, and have now downloaded her entire series to savour at leisure during the summer holidays. Suggesting all fantasy scifi lovers to follow suit!

i$ubscribe: Gen Verismo Genesis by PB Flower Format: Audible Edition is one of a kind!

The opening is a slow burn, it is needful though, because the entire world is different than the one we know. But is it? All of the human pitfalls and vices seem present, but they are used judiciously by an alien SamVeer (a very wealthy, bad-boy alien with his own style) who has self-appointed himself judge, jury and participatory audience.

With a wild blend of philosophy, metaphysics, futurism, discussions about human needs/imperfections and romance (think contemporary romance for sapiosexuals, people who think intelligence is attractive, with a science fiction backdrop) I love that it has so many layers and you can show up for one or all of them. I wasn't sure where we would go, but the first scene with Athena and Sam in a private situation came on the audiobook and I was blushing even though I was all by myself.

If you find traditional romance a tad weary around the edges and want some futuristic spice layered with important musings about who and what we are as humans, you will totally dig this experimental blend! The narration is awesome! You can tell the narrator is having fun and it shines through!
