All that glitters is not gold, and sometimes the bad boy is deadlier than you think.
In the city that never sleeps, the children of the ultra-wealthy are desperate to feel, and Luca Blanchi is no different. Luca is a god. Handsome, wealthy, and just dangerous enough to arouse your...curiosity.
Ingrid Wright is a good girl. The politician's perfect, pristine daughter. With straight-A's and old money to burn, she's completely in control of her future. At least, she thinks so.
One mistake thrusts Ingrid into Luca's path, unearthing family secrets that should have stayed hidden, and introduces her to the dark underbelly of New York's wealthy elite.
Will Ingrid survive Luca's darkness, or will he succumb to her light? Find out in The Book One of Crowned Legacy.
The Heir is a complete, full-length enemies-to-lovers, mature high-school/ new adult mafia novel. This book deals with mature themes, including bullying, and is a dark romance novel not suitable for all readers. This is a standalone novel part of the Crowned Criminals world.
Kennedy Slope has always had a wandering mind. She's written a million romances in her head, but "The Duke's Contract," is the first one she's decided to share with the world. In her past lives, she has been a teacher, a waitress, and for a brief moment, she sold copiers. Currently, she resides in Virginia with her husband where she enjoys drinking too much coffee and binge-watching HGTV.
Luca Blanchi and Ingrid Wright are about as opposite as two people can be. After an altercation at a fight club Ingrid has made herself a target. Bad boy Luca has set his sights on good girl Ingrid and there's nothing going to stop him. The Heir is a fantastic story. It's got all the angst, excitement, drama, surprises, twists, turns and danger you could imagine. When things start to come out it catches you completely off guard in the best way. This new to me author has hit it out of the park!
I don't even know where to begin. I have never read a book with so many spelling, plot, and grammatical errors as this book. It's obvious the author did not have an editor go over her work. What bothers me is not that the author made these errors, everyone makes errors typing, but that she has no respect for anyone who might read the book by ensuring that it was the best possible work she could present.
The real kicker is, she has a story, even though it's weak. Working through it with an editor would have not only made it readable, but stronger.
I would give zero stars if possible. Not only is the author disrespectful of readers, but to all the hard working independent authors who put in the time and effort to give the reading public a polished product.
This had so many secrets. So many twists and turns that I was honestly surprised when the secrets were revealed. I loved it!
I honestly didn’t know if this story would end well considering how it began. It’s amazing to me how an author can weave a story so well that it keeps you guessing on how it’ll end.
Thinking about buying the next book. Recommend this if you like twists & turns, secrets and lies and a bit of mystery.
Witty characters and a real page turner. The mysterious story underneath these teens and the circumstances and their families kept me on the edge of my seat. Luca still has some growing up to do but don't they all. Nothing is ever what it seems.
