Ivy Logan creates absolutely amazing characters in every single one of her books. Amelia has grown up knowing that her beloved parents were killed in an accident and she is being raised in Peradora by her Uncle Liam. But she does not fully know the truth about what happened or about who she truly is. I love how all the female characters in this series are so strong. The Hechi sorceress Siobhan had a falling out with her daughter (read the prequel novel Legend of Ava—it’s well worth it!) and after her daughter asked to be made mortal to live a mortal life with her human husband, they met a tragic end, and Amelia was left orphaned, not knowing of the magic in her family tree or who her parents and grandmother really were. Such interesting characters. Noah, who becomes her bodyguard, was another amazing character. Without spoilers, he may have some secrets of his own about who he really is. The writing in Metamorphosis is superb. I love the way it gets to the heart of each character. When Amelia has an emotional moment and shifts for the first time into her puma form, it was so well done! So many big reveals and secrets in this one… my favorite kind of novel. I absolutely loved Broken, the first novel in the series, and I loved Metamorphosis even more! I really need more of Amelia and Noah! 5/5 stars.

This is a great book, a beautiful story of love, pain, revenge.When you start reading you don’t want to end quickly
you just fall in love with the story of Amelia from Peradora.

Absolutely fantastic, love this book i cant wait for book three this series is blowing me away, I do love a good fantasy this is more its epic, i dont know how but i love this one more than Broken.
Those who love young adult fantasy with a fight between good and evil entwind will love this book, though i would advise reading Broken first though must admit each could be read as a stand alone.

I really love the author’s strong female characters. They are characters you yourself want to be and hopefully, you can find yourself in them.
Amelia has suffered great loss from an early age and the one that is supposed to protect her, her Uncle, hates her and uses her.
As she gets older she learns how badly her Uncle treats the people in her country by forcing them to work in the mines, in some cases until they die. She secretly sabotages his business when she can.
She falls in love and finds out things about herself that were hidden from her.
I loved her defiance, her strong attitude and her feelings of right and wrong.
Looking forward to the next book in this series.

Even though she knows that everyone she cares about is in danger, she can’t persuade her heart to stop being warm and loving.
Amelia lives in the most luxurious palace while the whole country – Peradora – is drowning in poverty, fear and sorrow. To the world, Peradora is a fairy tale, the only place, where exclusive pink diamonds can be found. And Amelia, the niece of the Peradora’s ruler, is the Diamond Princess, who spends her time between fashion shows and glamour parties all around the globe. No one cares to look deeper. And why should they if the picture drawn by social media is so perfect?

‘Metamorphosis’ is the second narrative in The Breach Chronicles, but can be read as a standalone. I loved ‘Broken’, but I love Metamorphosis more! Amelia is a fragile, heartbroken young girl, who goes through so much horror at the hand of her uncle, a vicious, lying, scheming dictator, whose lust for wealth dominates everything. I love Amelia’s growth throughout the book. She’s flawed and sincere, continually challenging herself and believing she is a coward; not deserving of respect or love. The love interests—oh, my heart—are splendidly done. First Adrian, later Noah. I think I fell in love a little with Noah. Both Amelia and Noah have secrets—big secrets—which are revealed as the book goes on. The world-building is nicely done, and the twists and turns ensure the story cracks along at a good pace. The fantasy element weaves delightfully with this sweet coming of age tale. I read Metamorphosis in two sittings, wishing to know how the story would play out. And the ending?... Left me craving more. I’m desperate to see where this story goes. I very much recommend this well written, YA Fantasy, coming of age novel. Well done Ms Logan.

Metamorphosis is the 2nd book in The Breach Chronicles series by Ivy Logan. I enjoyed reading book 1, Broken so much I decided to read the next book in the series.
As a little girl, Amelia became an orphan when she lost her parents in an automobile accident. Her uncle, whom she loved, took over her father's estate and position, and she went to live with him. However, the uncle whom she thought was loving and caring turned out to be a cruel, greedy, and selfish man. He became a ruthless dictator to the people of Peradora and treated her like property. Her love for her new found family and her need to protect them would not allow her to escape her uncle's grasp. A beautiful bird in a gilded cage, Amelia only lived to pacify her uncle and keep him from severely punishing or killing the people she loved.
At one point, saving the miners who worked in the pink diamond mines became her cause. She took on the pseudo name PinkMinx and started a podcast that made the people of Peradora aware of the cruelty of the mines. Many of her people rose up to fight against mining the pink diamonds and numerous of them died for it. Guilt ridden, Amelia soon gave up the podcast. Later, she became the face of the pink diamond empire which was the opposite of what she had set out to do. Because of this, the girl was misunderstood and hated by many. One day, she discovered who she really was and where she had come from. This discovery gave her the opportunity and strength to help her people and make amends.
Metamorphosis is a fascinating coming of age story that will grip and entertain you. I liked the loving and courageous main character, Amelia Diaz. The secondary characters were also enjoyable to read, especially Adrian and Noah. Peradora, the world of the pink diamonds was riveting.
If you enjoy young adult fantasy with a strong female main character, a love triangle, plot twists and surprises you'll enjoy this book.

This book is a good read for anyone who enjoys Young adult fantasy, shape-shifter, and sorcery type books. While this is not a genre I typically go for , I was given an ARC by the Author in exchange for a review. So with that said, if this genre is in your “wheel house” so to speak, I think you will really enjoy this book. I did!! ♥️It had all you could want. It had a nasty bad guy (Uncle Liam), it had our beautiful likable heroine(Amelia/Amy) going through some really trying things in her childhood and discovering somethings about herself and her origin she never knew. You have the young “love triangle”
(Noah/Adrian) so to speak. This whole book has a theme of good vs evil, definitely some suspense and pivotal points. Definitely some revenge in this story. Yes! It was beautiful to watch Amelia “Amy’s” transformation into who she is supposed to be and what and all she can become and accomplish because of her transformation. I will definitely have my teenage daughters check it out because it’s good, has a sweet love story to it, and it’s a clean read at the same time. Fantastic!
Metamorphosis is book #2, but the third story in the Breach Chronicles, and, in my opinion, it is the best so far! I thoroughly enjoyed Broken, so much so that I went back and read the prequel novella, which I also enjoyed. So, of course, I was happy when the author released this book. It is such an incredible story about two star-crossed lovers. Unlike the previous books, this one is set in modern times and is about a descendant of the Heichi queen, Siobhan. What happens is entirely unexpected. This is a thoroughly engaging story. I can't wait for the next installment to come out! Enjoy!

Metamorphosis by Ivy Logan Is a modern day fantasy. This had great storytelling with the perfect balance of drama and romance with shapeshifters added in the mix.
This book for me was about love, loss, and finding yourself and the strength within to overcome difficulties.
I was held captive with each page and couldn’t put it down. The book does end on a bit of a cliffy but this only gets me excited for the next one

This book has betrayal, revenge and secrets from the past. Amelia is a strong character who manages to deal with a lot during her life. She copes with finding out so much about herself, her family and people she once thought were friends. I found that as it got more into the story I enjoyed it more. Especially as she started discovering the truth about who she is. Thank you to the author Ivy Logan for my ARC.

Worth every minute!
This is the second book I have read of Ivy's and I said it before and I say it again, I just love her style. A mix of fantasy, love and adventure the book takes us on a journey of Amelia's life and everyone around her. Every character is intriguing, have their own secrets that will blow you away.
I feel that Amelia's story is inspirational to every woman who is trying to find herself.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves fantasy.

This is a great read! The main character Amelia is a person haunted by her situation in the world, and people around her. A horrible uncle Liam, love interests and a new found ability, shape the story. I recommend this book to all YA Fantasy and Romance lovers! 5 Stars! *****

A beautiful tale of love revenge magic and overcoming struggles. Read how Amelia manages to overcome her fear and weakness to emerge into a strong young woman. I enjoyed every second of this book and it has left me gasping for the sequel.

This book was something I usually don't read but I was gifted an ARC and I have to say I was intrigued. I really enjoyed all the characters, especially Amelia. She's a very strong Heroine. She was dealt a difficult hand and even though she had some low moments, she still prevailed.

Nothing beats a great story YA fantasy where good versus evil. Metamorphosis is book 2 in the series but it can absolutely be read as a stand alone. I am getting ready to pass this one on to my teenager! Thank you Ive Logan for a copy, I can not wait to read more of what you write!

My tween daughter and I read this together… and wow, what an epic read it is.
We were both completely captivated by Amelia’s story right from the beginning. We follow her as she is trapped, imprisoned by a horrific man in a world that feels so gritty, real and broken. We felt angry and saddened at the injustice, and we wanted her just to break free and fly from her golden cage, but we are reminded of the real danger, when she does try to rebel. And as the story shifts, twists and turns, so does the point of view which gives us a glimpse into the friends and foes that she meets along the way. And we see the different facets of her personality as she evolves, discovering the truth and finding her strength.
There was something truly unique and magical about the way that the writer entwined the gritty believable familiar world, with really rich fantasy, both of these elements strengthen each other.
It made us reflect on important values and morals like:
What is the cost of beauty, and freedom?
Is being a beast the form you take, or your actions?
It was vivid, beautiful & complex. And the different chapter POVs were almost like looking through the different facets of a diamond!
It is one of those books that lingers in your heart long after your finish reading it.

This comes from someone who normally avoids both YA and fantasy. But I enjoyed Broken, the first book in Logan’s series, so I already knew her work and her knack for pulling the reader into the middle of the story and never letting go.
The story of Amelia Diaz’s struggle to survive her “gilded cage” environment and to make a difference in the lives of the people of Peradora, the fictitious South American country over which her uncle, Liam, rules with an iron fist and a cold heart. The plot is complex, as it merges fantasy, adventure, mystery, thriller, and romance in this coming-of-age tale of a beautiful young girl who struggles to understand the reality of her world and to find her true self along the way. Neither is an easy quest.
Metamorphosis is set in a kind of parallel universe to the one we’re used to. We experience magic, mysticism, and fantasy, which are clearly not of our world, but it all takes place in the 21st Century, with its obsession with media overload and celebrity worship. This is not a combination that lends itself easily to an entertaining novel, but Logan makes it all work seamlessly.
As Logan’s readers have come to expect, Metamorphosis is full of memorable characters. Amelia is a highly believable young woman, prone to mistakes, misinterpretations, emotional turmoil, angst, and anger. Her uncle, Liam, is more shallow and a lot more dangerous than she realizes. But both of Amelia’s love interests, Adrian and Noah, are just as full of surprises and secrets as she is. We get to know the key characters because Logan gives each of them several point-of-view chapters. This technique works on several levels. Amelia’s parents were killed in a car crash when she was little. She goes to live with her beloved uncle, where she discovers he has a dark side that she learns to live with while residing in luxury. As Amelia grows up, she quickly learns how to protect those she loves from a brutal dictator. She ends up being the fashionable face of pink diamonds while trying to right a wrong. Although she is kind, she’s surrounded by many who hate what she represents. Not only is “Metamorphosis” a fascinating coming of age for a girl who has everything but who also has nothing. There is a magical element carried over from the first story that gives this a dark fairytale feel. I love her relationship with her bodyguards and her adopted grandma. She trusts the wrong people, but her kindness is her strength. This also takes on a more severe subject of mining diamonds and the people used to do so. A captivating tale I found hard to put down with a few twists I didn’t expect. I never stopped rooting for Amelia and am eager to read the next book to see how this ends and if she gets a happy ending. I can easily recommend this story.

“Metamorphosis: the girl with no face” is a complex and suspenseful story full of twists and turns happening in a world fluctuating between reality as we know it and magic; but, above all, it’s a beautiful and marvelous love story that, in its very last pages, made me think to “Beauty and the Beast”.
Ivy Logan’s excellent writing skills and her talents as a great storyteller take us on a journey through a dystopian society where the destructive nature of dictatorial regimes becomes obvious. I particularly admire the way she has to depict reality with precision, details and objectivity (like in chapter 8 when she introduces life in the fashion world) while she introduces a world full of magic and fantasy!
In spite of their complex personalities, the main characters are aptly described, and I am particularly fond of Amelia, a sweet, shy and innocent young woman who ultimately reveals her determination and strength!
I can’t wait to read the sequel!!!!
Without any doubt, “Metamorphosis” deserves a Five Star and I strongly recommend everyone to read it!

This wonderfully written tale of love, betrayal, magic, fate, revenge, and acceptance caught me from the very first page and NEVER let go! In part, it reminded me of a few Shakespearean plays (Henry V, Richard the. III, Hamlet, Macbeth, -some evil is definitely afoot-no spoilers here-A Midsummer’s Night Dream-and a hint of Romeo and Juliet ). Amelia, our protagonist has a great deal to handle. From freeing Peradora from her own uncle’s grips, to accepting her fated bloodline, and deciding who her true love might be-
There is so much action, fantasy, twists and turns that I was absolutely vested in each word. The characters are beautifully written. The dialogue superb. Most highly recommended! (I anticipated Metamorphosis in paperback before the holidays to gift to three of my grandchildren)!

A tantalizing shape-shifter paranormal modern day YA novel.It starts off intricately slow..Getting you invested in Our leading lady Ms.Amelia Diaz,a troubled orphan whos stuck underneath her heartless uncles thumb.A tale of sadness,teen angst,young love,and triumph over fear.Our leading man Noah is a young man out for revenge but after meeting our amelia he is captivated by her..I do wish it had more of the shifter paranormal in it as its not very present for the first half.A tale with fantastic twists and turns.It was a great read and I'm excited that theres a book 2! That cliffhanger ending had me flipping thru the last few pages saying noo!! what happens next!?

YA and Fantasy are genres I usually don't read. Metamorphosis is both of those, so, for me, the book was a double surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm nearly convinced Ivy Logan has multiple-personality disorder, except in her case, it's not a disorder, but rather a fortunate ability. The storyline was intriguing. The shifting perspective from one character to the other was seamless. The writing itself was stylish. I admired the flowing writing style and, even though the book was written for 'young adults', the language and story don't 'talk down' to young readers, but will encourage them to rise to a higher, yet attainable level of reading. Very enjoyable!

Ivy Logan crafts a beautifully written tale that will be enjoyed by a vast readership. At times the story has the ability to make you cry and laugh as you’re immersed in the tragic and redemptive world of the main character Amelia. She manages to navigate a harsh upbringing as a child and grows into a fighter with her family’s pink diamond empire at the epicenter. Her life of privilege is a blessing and a curse. Through Amelia’s eyes you’ll see the connection to our modern world in a new lens.

Ivy Logan has done it again. It is a sweeping story that takes the reader into two very different worlds, one of the rich and powerful men and the other two small children and what they will grow to become. Both children as destined to have their lives paths cross, but at what cost and to what end. A page-turning book that will leave you speechless.

Just finished my ARC & such amazing writing! One of those books you don't want to put down that's for sure! I'm looking forward to finding more of Ivy Logan's work, this is one book & one author everyone definitely needs to check out, you will love it

Metamorphosis is the second novel by Author Ivy Logan I have had the great pleasure of reading. Adventure, mystery, and romance are all embodied in this intriguing fantasy thriller. Examining the author's fabulous book cover and thinking about her title, I became immediately drawn to speculating on both even before opening the book to read it. A beautiful girl on the cusp of womanhood walking through a desolate mountainous area with a powerful, fierce looking puma in her company captured my attention immediately. The girl's eyes reveal both hurt and anger; the puma's are protective and full of purpose. One of many mysteries with the story I very much desired to find an answer to was why the author calls her "The Girl With No Face". The girl, Amelia, appears to be on a mission. Is she vengeful? Does someone need to be rescued? Is there an implicit criticism directed toward the ruling class in the story and its elitist, exploitive disdain for the unfortunate and impoverished in society? Perhaps revolution is on the horizon. I was fascinated by Logan's creation of a historical saga featuring a 21st century world imbued with magical and mystical elements. It is here her skill is evident at blending a more natural, familiar world with a magical realm and developing real, flawed characters who bring the story to life with action, growth, love, danger, deception, savagery, hope....and so much more. In terms of values, Logan's integration of these two planes of existence becomes that much more valid when applying our own critical thinking to the state of affairs in today's world as we attempt to understand it and work toward solving problems. I found this book to be highly entertaining, as well as profoundly thought provoking. Ivy Logan is an author truly in a class by herself for creativity and sensitivity in her writing. I give her extraordinary novel, METAMORPHOSIS: The Girl With No Face, a five stars, very enthusiastic recommendation.

While I don’t often read YA literature and rarely Fantasy, I’m sure glad I made an exception for this riveting tale. While I should have read Book One first, Ivy Logan does a fine job of catching up ‘late to the table’ readers like me. It wasn’t long before I completely immersed myself in the characters and dramatic narrative. No doubt it being a Contemporary Fantasy helped ease me into this imagined world. However, my favorite aspect of the book is its psychological complexity, as seen particularly in Logan’s characterization of Amelia. While I don’t ordinarily care for privileged girls as heroines, I found myself rooting for her throughout, due to Logan’s sympathetic portrayal. The unusual depth for what I would have considered a plot-driven novel took me by surprise.
The novelist and literary critic, John Gardner, once likened excellent fiction as being “a vivid and continuous dream.” If we are interrupted from our reading experience, we’re probably reading a mediocre or poorly written book. I never found myself waking up abruptly from this one!
Titles matter so much. While I was reading, I kept wondering if ‘Metamorphosis’ was a good fit for the story. After finishing the book, I realized it’s an absolutely perfect title for this epic tale. Not only do we discover what it pertains to, we also discover the aptness of the subtitle, ‘The Girl With No Face.’
Outside of great storytelling, Ivy Logan’s writing style flows. She holds the vocabulary bar high for young adult readers, as well as adult ones. Her descriptions, though at times detailed, are never labored. I truly look forward to reading more books by this terrific author!
