I just kissed my dad’s best friend. And he's really not too happy about it.
Let's just say a life long crush can make a girl do some wild things. I ran into Nathaniel at my parent’s party. And I couldn't get over my desire for the silver-haired GQ model.
So I excuse myself to the restroom. And imagine him there as I touch myself. Then I speak my desire for him as I reach my climax.
KNOCK. KNOCK.
In walks Nathaniel with a stern gaze.
And what appears to be a stiffness in his trousers.
"Whatever this is it NEEDS to stop."
"You mean this?" I come close to his luscious lips and pause.
Then we finally kiss.
I took my chances in the bathroom that fateful night. But NOTHING could prepare me for the greatest Christmas surprise.

H is dads best friend. H & h hook up, h gets pregnant. H & h eventually come clean. h mother wants H, tries to seduce him, doesn’t work. h father finds out everything, HEA in the end, mom gets divorced and kicked out of the family, child is born yaaaaaay.
But the h was beyond irritating.
Her logic (situations in book w/ how heroine handles said situation):
- I’m pregnant, should I tell Nathan about this pregnancy as soon as possible? Na, I’ll hold off and avoid him instead.
- I’m pregnant, should Nathan and I get through this together and tell my father the whole truth? Na, I’ll break up with him instead, insinuate I’ll be raising my child alone (he gets no say in being in the child’s life) so my dad doesn’t get hurt.
- Okay, let’s get back together. Should we tell my dad now? Na, let’s get married instead cause if you get knocked up the right thing to do is marriage.
- My mom tried to seduce my fiancé and he’s innocent. Should I talk this out with him? Na, I’ll ignore him and not hear his side of the story instead.
- I believe my fiancé! He was attacked! Should I work this out with him now that I know he did nothing wrong? Na, I’ll break up with him instead even though he was attacked cause it’s going to be awkward with the moms now.
This is her dumbass logic through the entire story. The only people who had a brain were her sisters trying to get the h some damn sense. She was like a child with her fingers plugged into her ears refusing to listen and understand reason.
Communication is so. Fucking. Simple. And I hate it when authors make it out to be like it is the IMPOSSIBLE for the sake of a story line contribution. Jesus.
I’m out.

Sure, there were speed bumps in this story, but the easy resolutions added to this easy read. I prefer characters to be a little more fleshed out—Nathanael didn't act as an almost 40-year-old most of the time in my eyes, but YMMV.

Christmas with dad’s best friend r e v i e w – t i m e
Although this book has ‘Christmas‘ big in its title, that‘s hardly what this book is about. For me that definitely was no point of critic because I wasn‘t here for the Christmas feels (more for the dad‘s bestie part) but before you decide to read the book, you should be aware of that in my opinion.
However, back to the story. I was thrown into the action right away, and that‘s something I always appreciate very much. Because, although the pacing was pretty fast at the beginning, I was intrigued and the story caught my interest. I think both – Amelia and Nathaniel – are very sweet and likeable protagonists (seriously, hating Amelia would be like hating a butterfly because it‘s cute – I couldn‘t even if I tried). Though sometimes her cuteness and innocence were a little bit too much for my liking (I‘m more into kick ass–bad bitches🤷♀️)
[ I‘m going to talk about the tropes of this book in the following, and at least one of these tropes might spoiler a little. So if you want to go into this book blind, you should stop reading here. ]
I‘m not a fan of the ‘surprise pregnancy‘ trope, so when it was clear this would play its part here I can‘t say I was happy. But in my opinion it‘s done quite nicely – so I guess I didn‘t hate it. On the other hand, what I wasn‘t as keen at is the miscommunication. Close to the end the two had some issues regarding Amelia’s mom, and I think this whole plotline was unnecessary.
Overall I really enjoyed this book, and had fun reading it. But still you should erase the ‘Christmas‘ from the cover🤭
Tropes:
* dad‘s best friend (obviously) * age gap * surprise pregnancy * miscommunication
I got half way through and I'm putting this down. Started off strong with one of my favourite tropes (dad's best friend) Then shit goes side ways when the suprise pregnancy is revealed.. I don't like this troupe but was willing to read through the rest. Then it goes off the cliff when the baby daddy is the 3rd (yes 3rd) person she tells and while he is down to working it out and being with her and giving her everything, she acts like a absolute twat and says she will raise the baby alone...
So your taking his chance of fatherhood away and taking the child's father away from them too?! Shit is unbelievable!!
It may change as the story gets in but when you cross the line like that for me it's done. This book was trash and is getting deleted. I'm sorry if this review offends anyone, I was pretty brutal but had to say my piece!

Not my favorite. Everything was too easy. They had sex but agreed it couldn’t happen again it was a one time thing. Of course they have sex again and BAM they’re in love right then and there. Next minute they’re pregnant. Next minute she breaks up with him because she’s pregnant and can’t hurt her dad. Then she gets back with him and decides to tell her dad. Thinks marriage will fix everything, then decides not to get married. Mom throws herself at baby daddy, she breaks up with him. She runs up to her childhood bedroom to cry about it, her window HAPPENS to be open and she hears her baby daddy yelling at the mom so she is able to clearly understand it wasn’t his fault. Yet she still makes him wait and wonder, which was such a surprise in this book. Then they’re back together two days later. It was just too easy the entire book. Every little issue was resolved within mere moments. It just was realistic in the slightest. The timeline of everything seemed off. The book starts in October and she makes it seem as if months and months have gone by and then they mention December. Also, this dude that knocked her up? There are no words. No 40 year old dude acts like that? No man in the history of men is like that guy. Maybe I’m a toxic mf but this book was so far from reality it was annoying. This was not complex, the story was predictable and I was bored the entire time. I had to finish it because I have OCD.

I loved all the smut! The leads’ first time, in particular, was delicious. Great chemistry between two people who couldn’t keep their hands off each other, even though they knew they should. But the book was much longer than it needed to be. It should’ve wrapped up around the 80-percent mark, but it kept limping on with awkward drama. Why the heroine’s creepy mother was there was beyond me; that side story added nothing useful and felt like a big waste of time. But the book was still hot where it needed to be.

Family turmoil, girl-age crush and an instant attraction, makes this story an interesting read. Nathaniel never expected his life would include children and one woman in his bed, but the instant and encompassing attraction to his best friend youngest daughter put his life on a new track that he hopes will still include the woman he has fallen for and his best friend. A great ending that you don't want to miss.

This was okay book. It started out great! Got a bit slow in the middle but picked up towards the end. I enjoyed reading it, the characters came together well and the story played out really well too. I loved how the ending came together. I can’t wait to read another one.

This was an amazing look. Their connection was insane and electric. They want to be together but try to fight it but can't. What happens when there are multiple surprises and crazy thing happen? Will everything workout for them?.

KC is my go to for surprise pregnancy age gap stories in once again she did not disappoint. The main female character annoyed me in some parts, but I get it that may have been part of her story overall, I really enjoyed this read.

a spicy, age gap, dad's best friend, surprise pregnancy and also an easy, fast read? fuck yes😌🤝🏻 not the BEST book I've read but fuck it, i devoured it!! 🤌🏻
This contemporary Christmas holiday romance is page-turning with exceptional characters that are well-developed and realistic. Their journey is engulfed with a magical Christmas winter wonderland full of love, romance, desire, lust, dad's best friend, older man/younger woman, drama, adventure, passion, affection, and the Christmas spirit. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her reader's attention and hearts with an age-gap Christmas romance.

This is the first book I have read from this author. I loved the premise of this book, it is very well written. However, it has a LOT of drama and angst. Way more than I am used to, to the point I almost DNF, but I soldiered through and I’m glad I did. I will definitely consider reading this author’s work again.

Nathaniel and Amelia's story is Red Hot with every page I turned the heat level jacked up higher there's so many taboo things in this book you'll be looking around to make sure no one sees what your reading all the while flipping the pages as fast as you can.

Sometimes love is something you have to fight for.
I liked this story a lot. It was entertaining and enjoyable although frustrating at times. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Colleen was a real piece of work. She was a selfish jerk and it was surprising that her family hadn’t figured that out sooner. David was sweet and loved all of his girls but put up with a LOT from his wife that was just amazing. Amelia had been crushing on Nathaniel for a long time. She was sure that he didn’t see her as a woman that he could be with but as the child her father still addressed her as. Nathaniel was surprised by Amelia and how beautiful she was. He knew he shouldn’t be attracted to her since he was seventeen years older than her and her father’s best friend. An embarrassing situation later led to some discomfort between them that was resolved quickly. The feelings that they had for each other grew quickly. But there was drama and angst a plenty in their future. Nathaniel was so patient and understanding with Amelia. Amelia was reactionary and she made me want to smack her upside the head on more than one occasion. Melinda and Larissa were great sisters as they supported her and her decisions but also pushed her a little bit to do the right thing. I liked how the story ended but I would have liked a little bit more about them in the future, maybe five or ten years in the future but that’s probably just because I’m greedy that way. I recommend reading this book.

Christmas With Dad's Best Friend, Book 9 of the Silver Fox Daddies, was about 21-year-old Amelia Weaver and 38-year-old Nathaniel Dean, her father's BFF and real estate mogul in his own right. This was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster ride from start to finish, with a side of "slap someone in the face" due diligence necessary to bring them back into line. there were characters I loved, namely Amelia's two sisters, Amelia, and Nathaniel, but some made me want to reach into the book's pages and throttle someone (I won't say who or if it was one or more persons). This wasn't the usual story for this author. It had elements in it that were so real that it was often hard to realize it was just a book and not someone's real-life story. It was heartbreaking, it was heartwarming, it was full of angst and drama, and it was anger-inducing. Yeah, all the "feels". Ultimately, it was enough to make the reader slump in the chair and heave a sigh of relief that the two main characters finally got the HEA they deserved. Although both main characters were fully developed, the FMC was, at times, a bit wishy-washy. But when you take in all that she was going through, it was...somewhat...understandable. The MMC was more beta than alpha, but he was also cute and fluffy, always there when needed, and ready to defend his woman at every turn. I couldn't give the story more than a 3.5-star rating, rounded up to four. It had moments that really needed to be resolved but didn't quite find that resolution. It was also way too long. It could easily have ended 15-20 chapters sooner if the author had left out all the fluff n stuff.
I bought 6 of this author’s books and just finished Christmas with Dad’s Best Friend: An Age Gap Romance.
The story starts with a sexy bang that sets the tone for some straightforward spice that I thought was well-written. The sex scenes were so well-written and engaging that I wondered if the author secretly wanted to write straight erotic fiction, as opposed to a romance novel. It was as if two different people wrote this story, one handling the sex scenes, the other handling the romantic/relationship aspects.
The author’s writing style is clean and crisp with a well-paced story structure, good use of language, the narrative didn’t bog down, very few typos/errors, etc. Mechanically, she did a great job. The first chapter sucked me in and I settled in for a “good read”. If I have a problem with a story, it’s usually the characterization followed by the plot. And I found both those areas to be problematic.
Age gap romances can be fun and believable. The “silver fox” here, 38-year-old Nathanial, is a successful, wealthy businessman who is best friends with David, who is Amelia’s dad. She’s a lovely 21-year-old recent graduate working in the healthcare field. Amelia has had a secret crush on her dad’s best friend for years, and turns out, Nathanial has had his eye on her, too. Almost immediately, their passion for each other combusts, and I’m thinking, ok, we have the cart before the horse, so where can this possibly go?
Cut to the chase. Nathanial, Amelia, and her dad David, are all super ‘nice’ characters. Practically perfect. The premise is that the dad wouldn’t approve of his daughter having a romance with his best friend. Everyone is so nice, I wondered why not. Dad loves and respects Nathanial and has a warm, loving relationship with his youngest daughter. There was no logical reason for Nathanial to think David would feel betrayed by their romance. But that’s what we get. This premise forces Amelia and Nathanial to keep their hot romance a secret from everyone.
The problem with having a story start with passionate sex scenes is that there was never any build-up to both emotional and sexual tension, and after a fantasy romp in his car, we’ve been there, done that. The sexual tension has peaked (pardon the pun). That leaves emotional drama between the couple. That never happened. It was one sexy romp followed by another. (but they were good ones!) The only thread of tension was the idea that Amelia’s dad would be devastated to learn his best friend had betrayed him. I’m sorry, they’re all so super nice I fully imagined Dad would welcome Nathanial as his son-in-law with open arms.
The story races along, and the lovebirds are happily busy making a baby (IUD failed). Nathanial wasn’t planning on a baby but given his unhappy childhood, he embraces the idea of fatherhood. David finds out his daughter is pregnant by his best friend and suddenly he turns on Nathanial and beats the heck out of him. All this righteous fatherly anger—why? The story loses any sense of logic here. There is no believable reason David would feel betrayed by Nathanial’s affair with Amelia. There is NO conflict in the story between Amelia and Nathanial, or with the Dad. Amelia’s mother is being set up as a flirty, alcoholic with the hots for Nathanial, and I’m thinking… oh, noooo, please don’t go there!
It's here that the story finally imploded. I was disappointed by the flimsy, groundless conflict between David and Nathanial, but then I was shocked when toward the end Amelia’s drunk, conniving mother trapped Nathanial and forced herself on him, and conveniently, Amelia walked in to see her mom kissing him. What Amelia says to Nathanial is, in my opinion, unforgivable. She started as a likable character but devolved into a very immature woman. Nathanial, too, is very immature for a 38-year-old man with his presumed experience. It’s as if the author couldn’t bear to have them involved in some personal conflict to challenge their love and passion.
K.C. Crowne is a really good writer, though I don’t think this book lived up to its potential. There were almost too many fun, sizzling sex scenes that overshadowed a story with almost no plot. If you’re looking for spice with little meat, you’ll enjoy this. If you’re looking for a story with depth, maturity, strong characterization, and logical motivation, keep looking.
Overall, the story reads like one of those sweet, early Harlequin romances pumped up with some explicit sex scenes. This book disappointed my expectations; I hope this one is just a one-off. I look forward to reading K.C. Crowne’s other five books I bought with this one. Cheers!
I thought the age-gap was the biggest relationship problem in this book.
I was wrong.
First off, it's wild to me that even though the title has Christmas in it, there's a grand total of ONE scene that takes place at Christmas, and it doesn't even involve the MMC. The book is really one big slice-of-life with sex scenes thrown in for good measure. I liked Nathaniel and Amelia's sisters, and Amelia was okay. She's only 21 (the book opens with her being pumped that she can order her own drinks at her dad's annual party's open bar now that she's of age) and somehow already finished with college and ensconced in a hospital with her career on track, but despite her being talked up as so mature and capable, she makes some seriously questionable decisions.
Add all this to a very abrupt ending, and I was just very underwhelmed. Make it a novella, actually Christmas-themed (or take the holiday out of the title), cut out Amelia's forced dramatics and 90% of the workday blah, blah, blahs, and we'd have a nice and spicy little instalove story. The romance between them is actually very sweet, even if it develops over the course of five seconds.
Also as a side note, there's a part where Amelia thinks her dad is "looking through the hazy fog of memory" or some bs. Girl, he's only 44 years old! Just 6 years older than your man! GTFOH with that.
As the youngest of three daughters, 21-year-old Amelia Weaver, a beautiful, still innocent woman, with emerald green eyes and chestnut brown, shoulder-length hair, knew that a member of her family—a parent or a sister—would always be available to help her. And, because she felt safe and secure in the midst of her family, she stepped out of childhood and into adulthood without any great trauma or drama.
She and sisters Melinda and Larissa, all close in age, where each other’s best friends and support. So, as she approached her family’s annual Christmas party held at their successful real estate agent dad’s and their socialite mom’s elegant home in San Diego where she and her family had lived her whole life, she does so with confidence and excitement.
Each daughter had moved away from home, pursuing her own interests, and while dad was proud of all three daughters, he was exceptionally proud of Amelia who was a radiation therapist at the local hospital. And, as the youngest daughter, Amelia had always felt compelled to work a little harder in order to please dad.
A close friend and protégé—almost like a younger brother to dad—was Nathaniel Dean, who at 38 was well on his way to becoming an internationally sought relator specializing in helping wealthy clients locate and acquire second homes—resort and vacation properties for the very wealthy. As a younger man, following the death of his parents and with no siblings, Nathan had felt lost and alone. David Weaver had become friend, mentor and older brother to the young Nathan, helping the younger man as he began to build a career as broker for vacation properties for the very rich. And, while Nathan was not a member of the Weaver family, he valued the decade long friendship that he and the older, more experienced man, had formed.
So, while Amelia and Nathan had known one another for a decade, the 17-year-age gap between Amelia and Nathan had never been an issue—Amelia had been a child and Nathan had been too busy building his business to notice his friend’s youngest daughter. But this year, at this Christmas party, Amelia can’t seem to take her eyes off of her father’s friend. And, now as never before, Nathan is aware of the beauty and intellect of his mentor’s youngest daughter. So suddenly, the 17-year-age gap between Amelia and Nathan means nothing compared to the electrical connection they seem to share.
Once more, KC Crowne weaves an entertaining and engaging plotline filled with challenges that only an older man can solve!
I received the ARC for this older-man, younger-woman romance through Booksprout and purchased my copy for my Kindle.
🌨️ Review 🌨️ --- 📚 Christmas with Dad's Best Friend by K.C. Crowne --- 3 ⭐ 3 1/2 🌶️ --- 💋 Tropes -- 🤝 Dad's Best friend 🤰🏻 Surprise pregnancy 😘 Age gap 🩸Virgin --- 📖 Summary -- Amelia is in need of space after her brief run in with her dads hot friend. She tries to take a few moments in the restroom to relieve the ache in her center but Nathaniel has to come in and see the proof of what she has done on her fingers. From there they can't stop the events that happen next and they don't really want to. But once Nate learns she is pregnant and her mother reveals how she feels towards him now he has to hope this new family he wants to have, won't be destroyed and that his best friend can eventually forgive him. --- ❄️ This was a cute book. It started off very spicy but the timeline of things was throwing me off. And the biggest reason why I didn't mark it as a 4 star read is because this book is titled "Christmas with Dad's Best friend" but there was nothing Christmas about this book. Out of the entire fourty (ish) chapters only three were around Christmas eve/Christmas and there wasn't anything spectacular that happened during those times other than the family falling apart. Overall it was a fine book but not Christmasy like it is I guess advertised to be because of the title. Also in the back it calls him a GQ model and I guess that's just a way to describe his looks because his profession a realtor. The FMC was also a little annoying just because she was all "I'm in love. Let's spend all this time together." "I'm pregnant and have to end things with you." Then two days later is back to "I love you let's get married." Then back to "my mom did something really bad to us so I'm leaving you again even though everyone says I shouldn't" then a couple days pass again just for her to be like "I love you again! But let's wait to have the wedding." Idk it was very immature for a character that kept being described as mature.
Amelia Weaver the youngest daughter of David Weaver who is Best friend and Mentor to Nathaniel Dean and has been for many years. Amelia has had a crush on Nathaniel for years but with the age gap of seventeen years she knew he would never ever look her way. Until he did! Fast forward Amelia is now twenty one and is able to have some adult drinks at her father’s annual event he does for his employees. She attends with her two older sisters dressed to the nine’s and drop dead gorgeous, when she looks across the room and there stands her crush. Come true…For Real…Nathaniel Dean in the flesh and wow oh wow does that flesh look good! About the same time Nathaniel spotted Amelia across the room and was floored at her all grown up, adult, and the most beautiful woman he has ever laid eyes on. During this annual event they ended up with an encounter that left them both trying to fight their attraction to each other, knowing this should and would be a big No No. Nathaniel tried to fight his attraction but he was lost when he found out Amelia was just as attracted to him. Nathaniel and Amelia’s story is full of family drama, conflict, friendship, deceit, denials, chemistry that is red hot, heartbreak, forgiveness, acceptance, love. This is a wonderful story. I highly recommend. Absolutely one of my favorite authors. I received an Advance Reader's Copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest thoughts and opinions.
This was a complex story with several characters throughout the entire book. Mostly, it was the Weaver family that consisted of David, his wife Colleen, and their three daughters Melinda, Larissa, and Amelia. The other main character was David's bestfriend, Nathaniel Dean. David worked in real estate, and he discovered Nathaniel working at the Country Club taking him under his wing helping him to get started in international real estate. Amelia the youngest daughter had always had a crush on Nathaniel so she tried to stay away from him when ever he was at the house. Only this year's clients party, Amelia found herself continuously running into Nathaniel so she thought about escaping and going home early. Unfortunately, that did not work either her father caught her calling a taxi, and he asked Nathaniel to take her home. They ended up confessing their desire for each other on the way home, and they slept together which they both knew would set her dad off. Neither one knew where to go or what to do from there. All three daughters had trouble with their mother. She was a selfish woman and out to cause everyone heart ache. Also, she was unfaithful to David. A heartfelt story with lots of drama.

This was a great book and the main characters made me hope that they can work it out. Amelia Weaver has always had a huge crush on her dad’s best friend Nathaniel Dean but nothing can come of it because he doesn’t see me as a woman. Nathaniel Dean was given a great opportunity by his now best friend David Weaver who he met at the country club where he worked and took him under his wing and is now a very successful realtor. Amelia is at her dad’s annual event for his employees and she is now 21 yrs old and still desires Nathaniel with all her heart but she decides to leave the party and her father catches her leaving and asks Nathaniel to drive her home. Now at her apartment they tell each other how they really feel and they spend an amazing night together and at the time thinking it was only going to be one night and that’s it but the truth is they cannot keep there hands off each other and keep there relationship a secret for now. There is so much more to this book there is miscommunications, lust, desires, attraction, troublemaker mother, betrayal are just a few things that pull your in and drive you crazy as well. Very enjoyable.

Christmas with Dad's Best Friend (Silver Fox Daddies #9)
KC Crowne does it again! I just love the Silver Fox Daddies! This one was like the last. Not filled with Mafia and Cartels. But I gotta say the mother in this reminded of one character. SNOW WHITE'S STEPMOTHER. The Mom, Colleen, is as vicious, twisted, shallow about her appearance, and crazy. She is a side character but I bring her up because she was the destruction and nastiness in the book. Nathaniel and Amelia are the major characters. They meet at a party at her parents mostly for his investors. Amelia could not stop staring at Nathaniel and Vice Versa. She winds up in the bathroom doing erotic things to herself just thinking of him. Nathaniel hears her and comes in. Things get more than heated as they make love in the bathroom! Both agree never again but of course the 2 can't stop thinking about each other. Many, Many hidden meet ups. Her sisters know there is someone else. David, Amelia's father, asks Nathaniel who the new woman is. He just says someone very, very special. Amelia and Nathaniel are in love but what Things can happen that tear them apart? Take the time to READ the BOOK! I highly recommend it! 10/10
It started out so promising... and then it completely derailed. I nearly DNFed it at around 38% (and I almost never DNF books), but my OCD wouldn't let me leave this unfinished, so I speed-read the rest instead of giving into temptation to just quit (which means I ended up speed-reading more than half of the whole freaking book) in the hopes that there would be moments when it would get better.
Sadly, dear reader, it did not.
Also, I'm a little annoyed that this is advertised as a "holiday romance", when it absolutely is NOT. Christmas literally comes and goes in like a single chapter, and the bulk of the book takes place during sometime in October to mid-December, but it feels like months... which, yikes.
Oh well.
If you enjoyed it, I'm glad. But this just wasn't for me.
Christmas with Dad’s Best Friend is a steamy love story. K.C. Crowne writes enjoyable stories. Her descriptions come alive on the pages. This is a wonderful addition to K. C. Crowne’s list of books.
Amelia Weaver is the youngest Weaver daughter. She has strived to make her parents proud. She chose a stable job. When she attends her father’s annual event for his employees, she finally takes a step out of her stable life. Amelia has harbored a crush on her father’s best friend for a while. She never thought for a second she stood a chance. One restroom encounter leads to an opportunity Amelia doesn’t want to pass.
Nathaniel Dean is an established realtor. He befriended David Weaver shortly after losing his parents. David became Nathaniel’s confidant taking on the role of big brother and best friend. Nathaniel was surprised at his response to seeing Amelia. He tried to fight his attraction, but lost the battle when he discovered Amelia's attraction to himself.
