I highly anticipated this novel because I love this series. Even when I don't particularly like a book or character; I have fallen in love with the world Victoria Quinn has created.
With that being said, I am eager for what's next but I can wait. This book felt long! And I think that's because, as is the case with this series, we spent so much time on the mundane. I understand a build-up but I can wait to sit through another lunch or detailed description of Sicily's outfits.
I wasn't bored but I started wondering if it was a day in the life of a cardiologist and his assistant. The few moments that woke us up was that. Few.
Now my biggest issue with this novel was that Sicily lost her voice. So, even though the POVs alternated by chapter, it started to feel like Dex was the only character speaking.
The girl who wore sky-high heels, funny, memorable, bold, brave and lovable, became a cult of one for Dr Dex Hamilton. I missed the flair and flavour she added to book nine. She faded into the background of the worship that was Dex, the cardiologist, and by the time we got some more of that spice she brought, we were wrapping up until probably next month.
A good side story and what I imagine is a build-up to the next Hamilton in the series, was Daisy's.
I don't know if Mason is 'the one' but I know we will enjoy the sprite that is Daisy Hamilton.
As for Dex, the man is nice! He was always the most balanced Hamilton man and we saw that with how he navigated this novel. He wasn't oblivious or obstinate, he was more emotional and cautious. These, are natural responses to the end of his marriage. But the man has a temper. I am waiting to see how this will play out because it kind of scared me at times.
Now, though not plenty, the intimate moments were executed well. I love that Sicily was confident in the bedroom and she never fumbled the ball. She was sure and gave us some very porno moments. It's almost like she flipped a switch.
What I appreciated the most while we waited on Dex to decide, was that they had relationships and other sexual partners as they built a friendship. Not something that others would appreciate but there has always been a certain level of reality and playing the field in this series. I am looking forward to seeing how these relationships affect the next book.
I am a loyal fan of this series, so I will continue but I can also see someone being upset by the quality of the content they got for the price they paid.

Same story line only different family people. Now an 11 book, next one will involve sister. Running out of characters. I ordered book 11. I want to see if my theory is true. It started good with book one, became interested and now repetitive.

I like this series because it is fast-paced, sparely written and I can read them quickly. I'm not quite as attached to this couple's romance as I was the original couple or even the second, but I enjoy seeing the family interact and that the structure is the same as those couples with the boss/PA and H trying to get past a previous relationship to see the value of the current one.

We know the struggle that Dex has in his every day life to get past what put an end to his career, and an end to his marriage. He’s faced it in some ways but refuses to move on in others. We watched as he went from the best heart surgeon in the world to the best IT guy at the Trinity Building, and we know that there’s so much more out there for him.
His mom sees in his what he doesn’t see in himself, and Sicily does as well. They both push him / lead him in the direction that he needs to go to get back on his feet, to find his passion again for medicine, and they’re successful. This tenth installment of the series takes us on the journey of a phoenix of sorts – we watch how Dex some how manages to find his stride in the world of medicine, now he’s practicing again, he’s teaching residents, and he’s working in a lab to help further advance the medical technology available.
We know that he’s had a rough patch, but with the help of Sic, he’s managed to succeed in everything.
Sicily on the other hand has managed to find the perfect job, working in the perfect place for the perfect man. Dex’s successes are hers and it’s truly wonderful to watch how she shines when she’s able to support him in ways that even she didn’t know was possible . True to the nature of this series as well, we have a woman who’s strong, powerful, intuitive and sexy taking on a role of a PA of sorts, in a realm that there’s no comfort and doing a better job than even the most experienced.
We know what’s bound to happen right? Sexy strong intelligent Dex has the hots for his PA but won’t cross that line. Sic realizes that her feelings for Dex extend far past boss / employee. She’s enamored with him but fears what it’ll mean to cross the line. The entire Hamilton family sees something special between them, want it to happen, but aren’t sure how to push them both together in the right way to make it happen.
What we didn’t get in the first installment, we get in spades in this one. We have the development of a deep emotional relationship in the first part, and now we’re watching the passion and chemistry come to life in this one. Granted, there’s not much of that between the couple that we want to get together, but there’s still that level of spark that was missing in the first part of their story. It’s a wonder what’s going to push them together at last.
The side story to this one is also that of Daisy – we watch how she’s strong, self assured and a girls girl as much as a sexy suave female who has all the power in the world against men. She’s found someone that she thinks that she could be with, yet Dex isn’t quite sure about him and makes it a struggle. I’m sure we’ll see how that plays out once we get to her story -but we’re not there yet.
When things seem like they’re going in the right direction for everyone, of course the other shoe drops – and that’s in the form of Catherine – Dex’s ex-wife. She’s inserted herself into the story at the wrong time and that means that we now come to a screeching halt with everything. It’s a shame that it had to happen, but it leaves on in the needed cliff in order to get the closure to Dex’s story that we’re all waiting for. Since that book is out now, i’m going to pick it up and read, and then i’ll have to be patient I think for Daisy’s to come out

But the Hamilton men really know how to mess things up with their women. I thought Dex would do better than his father and brother, but that was a big fat NOPE. Sicily and Dex have been extremely attracted to each other from the beginning of their story but both have been fighting it. This segment finally brings a culmination to their tiptoeing around the obvious. I love the whole Hamilton family Deacon, Chloe, Derek, Emmerson, and Daisy. Dex would be fantastic if only he could see the kind of person Catherine really is (everyone else sees it but he just won't listen). Great story - my only complaint is that Sicily is going to kill Dex feeding him all that Italian food!
Grab anything from this author and be prepared to get sucked in. They are all great reads.

I knew it! I knew it! I knew it! Dex, poor Dex! The pressure that this man put on himself this entire book is sad and upsetting. It’s amazing how much Deacon’s sons are just like him, almost to the T! This book had me frustrated at Dex for the pain and suffering he put himself through, so much so, it was hard to focus on everything else that was happening. And Sicily being the perfect example of ride or die assistant/friend, made me want to yell for her to put her foot down with Dex like she do with those that interrupt his ‘me time’. The hold his ex-wife has on this man should be illegal. I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Poor Dex!!! He gives and gives to everyone and stretches himself thin and then in the end he gets crapped on. This story leaves off right after the last book! I’m obsessed with Dex and Sicily’s story! Their banter and chemistry is off the charts! I also love that the whole family makes appearances in this book as well! I love Daisy and her no filter! Dex faces another scary incident in the OR but manages to pull through with flying colors! He finally sees Sicily as the woman she is! Then Dex’s past comes back and bites him in the ass and everything explodes from there! I really hope Dex comes out stronger! I can’t wait to read the next book!!

Boy I tell you this series just seems to keep getting better and better. Ugh the Hamilton men really know how to emotionally ruin things with their female. I really thought that Dex was going to be the exception to the rule. After hearing his dad story after witnessing the down fall of his older brother I guess I was expecting him to be better. I was wrong!! I really hope he get it together. Even though it ended on a major cliffhanger I'm still super invested I can't wait to see what's going to happen next. As always my reviews are totally voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.

Wow! This book is about Dex and Sicily. It will capture your attention right off the bat. These two are like dynamite! Their chemistry is explosive. Their story will take you through several emotions. You will be on the edge of your seat as you read. You will keep turning the pages as fast as you can to see what happens between these two and to see what will Catherine do next? Will the past or present win for DeX? Will he see what he has now in time? Can he put the past where it goes? Check it out and see. Highly recommend this book and series. I can not wait for the next book!!! Ms. Quinn certainly knows how to draw you into her stories and keep you looking forward to the next one.

Well, once again, Victoria Quinn has written an awesome book!!!! Of course, this is the 2nd in the 3 book arc about Dex and Sicily. This book was such a roller coaster of emotions for me. I was so sad by how Dex is still affected by his divorce from that awful ex wife. He’s so closed off to love, and then when he allows himself to get involved with Sicily, WHAM!!! Why did you do that to us Victoria Quinn!!! My heart sank. I really can’t wait until April. This is torture.
On the plus side, we get alot of Deacon and Derek, as well as Daisy in this book. I hope that Daisy gets her own arc in this series also. I can’t let the Hamilton family go.

Wow I actually love Dex whilst also wanting to slap him really hard !!!! The man is an actual genius yet he can’t figure out Sicily wants to love and protect him, he’s letting his using, money grabbing ex wife’s behaviour rule his future and it’s tragic. I hope Deacon, Cleo, Derek and most definitely Daisy intervene because he can have a real future with Sicily. Dex’s character really pulled me into this book, he’s so down to earth and doesn’t even see what a fantastic person he is. Well worth 5 stars

Oh the chemistry between Dex and Sicily is so electrifying. Will they get it together.
I couldn’t put the book down. Had to read it in one sitting.
I absolutely love this series as it still involved Deacon, Derek and I hope we have a series on Daisie. I love Daisie and how confident she is. She is all behind Sicily and Dex getting it together. But can Dex out his past behind him, or will his x-wife Catharine haunt him.
The ending........I need to read the continuation now.

What an ass😥
Dex, is a total jackass!!! I cannot believe that he would let his ex-wife, control him in such a way. She obviously didn't love him at all. A year after she divorced him and took half his her worth , she's getting married again. But Dex, can't see pass his ass to get over her. Instead he decided to just live his life with what ifs, shoulda, coulda, wouldas. I'm so angry with the way he treated poor Siceley. She loves him with all her heart. But he's still sulking over a relationship that never was . What a douche he turned out to be.

Like most I was excited to finally read about Dr. Dex Hamilton. I was excited to see what Victoria would bring us in this next novel. Let me start off by saying I loved this book. The chemistry between Dex and his love interest was palpable. However, I felt we could have gotten a little more of them as a couple rather than them as two separate people. I truly cannot wait until the next book in the series.

3.0 stars I highly anticipated this novel because I love the series. But, the story lines seems a little repetitive. The Hamilton men and their women are starting to have the same story line. On top of that, I hate to wait for the sequence to a story. (waiting months for the next one is just not my cup of tea). However, since I have invested in the series for over a year. I will buy book 11. I loved Deacon and Chloe's love story a 5 stars. (The first 4-books in this series).

It inspires the society to respect "Doctors" , bcz Doctors are definitely the other form of God.
Where as Sicily is Strong headed, Ethical , Boss B**ch
The Twist at the end is worth it and its exciting...

A must read!
Dex and Sicily are such an awesome duet. Too bad Dex's head is up his own gorgeous tushy! He needs to wake up and realize the ex was not the one!

Love this story! Dex and Sicily are so great together. I love catching up with His parents, Derek and Emerson, Daisy. The Hamilton men are so smart but they are sure dumb when it comes to relationships. The ending broke my heart I am anxious to read what is next for them. Victoria's writing is awesome.

This is the latest book of the Hamilton family and it is the 10th book in the Souless series and the second book in the Dex / Sicily arc. It was definitely an emotional rollercoaster and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book, The Doctor Who Has No Chance which is scheduled for April 13, 2021.

Absolutely loving everything about this series, and this book. All of Dex’s pain from his failed marriage feels so real. Having read all of the books in this series so far, I feel as though I know the Hamilton family personally. I love Sicily and she seems like the perfect woman to join that family if Dex can ever get over his past and let her in. It’s an absolute must read!

It's sad that they follow the same pattern but life can be like that. Nobody ever learns from the other guy's mistakes. Even when they tell you "don't do what I did" - SOME people gotta beat their heads against that same darn wall! Let's see if he can fix this, on to Book 11.

Mixed feelings
These Hamilton men! Romantic, sexy and totally infuriating. Sicily is a badass 😎 She takes no prisoners and does not suffer fools. I love how she recognises the good man he is but still calls him (and others) out on his s▪︎▪︎▪︎. Dex is lucky to have her. Fuming at Dex's behaviour at the cliffhanger but expected it.

This book was amazing! The entire time I was waiting for something to happen with Dex & Sicily and when it finally did, it was awesome. Then the ending...ugh!!! Can’t wait for the next book!! It reminds me of the story with Cleo and Deacon & Derek and Emerson! Worth the read!!

Again, a crappy cliffhanger! Again, would have given it a 5 stars, however, cliffhangers rate only 3 or 4 stars depending. I'm almost tempted to not read book 11. I hate what Dex is going through but I can't believe after over a year he still feels the way he does. Poor Sicily.

Well hell! I couldn't help myself and went ahead and read this one...now I have to wait till next month :(. I am hooked even thought the story is kind of repetitive.
