WICKED IN WINTER - Mr. Deveraux "Dev" Winter is a merchant & the head of the most notorious family in London, The Wicked Winters. He is castigated by polite society for his dissolute behavior but he also is rich as Croesus & owns 1/2 of London. Dev loves his five sisters & they are all of marrying age, so he must repair his reputation in order to earn acceptance in to the Ton. He needs to marry a highly respected lady from a titled family that can assist his sisters, in their first season, to find titled husbands.
Lady Emilia King, is the spinster daughter of the Duke of Abingdon, has declared to stay away from love & remain unwed after losing her love & finance in a riding accident. Alas, things would be changing rapidly for her - her father had been ill with memory & lack of judgement behavior & her mother has informed her that her father has lost all of their assets & Mr. Winter, who lives in the next door townhouse, has bought up all of her father's vowels. Mr. Winter's price for this is to call the vowels paid & she would in turn marry him & take his sisters under her wing to prepare them for the season & finding husbands from good families.
Emilia & Dev have a definite "hate/love" relationship & their journey is a tumultuous one. I loved Dev from the beginning - he was handsome, rich, manly, in control but also, soft, kind, loved his sisters & wanted to be accepted by society. I found Emilia arrogant, unfeeling & I hated the way she looked down on Dev's lower class but as the book moved on I really ended up loving her. I highly recommend this book - Scarlett Scott writes the most entrancing stories to go with her delicious heroes & lovely heroines!

Each of the 6 siblings was left a fortune of their own & oldest & only son, Devereaux Winter was in charge of caring for the assets & investing everyone's fortune. His five younger sisters were all educated & refined young women & the only thing Dev wants for them is to marry a noble man so they will be accepted in society.
The youngest sibling is Beatrix "Bea" Winter, she is 18 yrs. old & she desires becoming a midwife. Unfortunately, her brother caught her sneaking out to aid a doctor & he forbids her from assisting the doctor in the future. They are leaving to spend the Christmas holiday at their country estate & he will find noble men for his sisters to marry among the guests he has invited. midwife.
Merrick Hart is Dev's right hand man & has been working for the Winter's for a few years. Dev trusts him, knows he is honorable & has become a friend too. Merrick is handsome, kind & has been attracted to Bea Winter since she blossomed & became a young woman - but he would never let anyone know his feelings. The Winter's left London to celebrate Christmas in the country, the servants were given time off to be with their families & Merrick stayed behind to watch the London townhouse. Alone, at last to read & drink some of Dev's liquor, until Miss Beatrix Winter comes in the front door in the wee hour of the morning, with blood all over the front of her gown. Why isn't she with her family & what has happened to her?
Merrick & Bea's adventure together begins & what a fun, romantic, spicy time they have & even a Christmas Eve day wedding. Scarlett Scott is a genius when it comes to creating characters that just pull your heartstrings & Merrick & Bea did just that for me - a wonderful story. And.......the Epilogue is the icing on the cake!
WANTON IN WINTER - Oh boy. where do I start? This book will leave you needing a cold shower, feeling happy & hating the fact the story ended - Scarlet does have a way with words! The handsome Cameron "Cam" Blythe, Earl of Hertford - known around society's sobriquet as the Prince of Proper - has inherited a destitute earldom because of his father's debauchery before his death & now it is necessary he find a bride with a large dowry so he can rebuild his title.
Miss Eugenia "Eugie" Winter (the wickedest, wanton Winter) has a large dowry but because of false rumors, a man she had rebuffed had spread about her, her reputation is ruined & the Prince of Proper, Cam could never look at her for wife material.
Cam & Eugie meet for the first time at a ball when they both were forced to dance with the other. Cam had admired her from afar in her red gown & she had given the handsome earl a generous peek too but both of them knew they would not suit. Then they danced & the sizzle began. A house party given by her brother, Dev & sister-in-law, Emilia inviting eligible, titled gentlemen for Dev's sisters to meet. Of course, Cam was one of the gentlemen invited. This couple went through all possible scenarios in finding happiness - it went from not only no but hell no to the point of catching my reader on fire.
WISHES IN WINTER - Alistair, Duke of Warwick is the "catch" for any lady of the ton but at 27 he had grown tired of the feminine pursuits. He is drowning is his late father's wastrel debts & more importantly, the lady he wishes to marry has been successful in avoiding him. Alistair has gained an invitation to Mr. Devereaux Winter & Lady Emilia Winter’s Christmas country house party & the lady will be in attendance. He also is privy to the fact that her parents had given her an ultimatum, either she choose a husband by the end of the Christmas party or she would be sent to be a lady's companion. He must find a way to convince Freckles of his sincerity in changing his ways & along with that her large dowry would pay his father's debts & help in rebuilding the dukedom.
Lady Lydia Brownlow's parents have insisted she make a decision on a husband or be faced with being a companion to the Marchioness of & her half dozen ill-mannered Corgis. They will be attending a Christmas house party & there will be several "fortune hunter" men looking for a wife & dowry to set themselves up in life. Lydia was also aware that Warwick will be in attendance, her brother's best friend, a rake & the only male she knows she cannot resist. She has known him all of her life & tagged after the two boys throughout her childhood & she has been enamored with him as long as she can remember. Lydia is fully aware that she must avoid him because resisting him is hopeless & he is just another fortune hunter.
Alistair & Freckles have a wonderful adventure with his pursuit of her & her refusal to believe his sincerity. The bantering, humor, chase, romance, confessions, love & a HEA were so entertaining & an excellent holiday tale to put you in a happy holiday mood!

This book was absolutely AH-MAZING! Typically, when I cannot put a book down, I get aggravated when I have to; however, as I waited to finish this book, I just became more and more hooked! 😍😍
