I know I shouldn't get involved with Delilah. She's gorgeous, has a voice like a siren and her night job requires her to use both of those attributes to talk men out of their money.
A job she's very good at.
I have a few goals and keeping my money....mine....is one of them.
Call it a leftover insecurity from my childhood in-and-out of foster homes. Another is to stay on the team. I may have a shot that kills, but I'm still the rookie on the Vegas Venom and I have to prove myself.
I can't afford a distraction...and wow is she distracting.

I have loved all the Vegas Venom books, Sniper was no different, a beautiful story of Ranger and Delilah who were clearly meant to be together but kept sabotaging their own relationship but they couldn’t see what they were doing until it was almost too late. With the help of their friends they sort things out.
Of course as you would expect from a Colleen Charles novel there are some steamy moments as well.

23-year-old Ranger recently joined the Vegas Venom hockey team. While attending a former player's wedding he meets Delilah. Delilah doesn't want a younger man (she's 31) but there is something about Ranger. They end up hanging out after the wedding, watching a movie together. A few days later, Ranger and another teammate goes to the strip club where he finds out that Delilah is a stripper, but they get kicked out shortly afterwards because his other teammate is stupid.
Ranger doesn't have a problem with Delilah being a stripper and he still wants her. Delilah using stripping as a short-term goal, what she really wants to do is sing. After Ranger and Delilah starts seeing each other, he wants to help her with her dream, so he sets up a music video for her. While they are dating the blogs start writing nasty things about Delilah being a gold digger, but Ranger doesn't let that get to him but if affects Delilah.
At one point of their relationship, Ranger decides that he is going to buy an investment property and he wants Delilah to live there rent free. Delilah sees that as Ranger putting her up and just seeing her whenever he wants and breaks up with him. Poor Ranger, he grew up in foster care and really did not have someone to love him until he meets Delilah. Shes his first relationship and he tries but sometimes he just does the wrong things. I loved Ranger's character.
Long story short, Delilah ends up getting her big break. Ranger and her get back together and in the end he proposes to her, which was one of my favorite parts. My other favorite part was their date night when they made cake pops together. Even though Ranger is naive, he is attentive and he tries hard to make Delilah happy. Besides sex, I didn't see where Delilah tried to return the favor.
Anywho, this was a really good book. I started with book 6 but I may go back and read the others because I really loved the other characters as well!!

I LOVE the Vegas Venom Series by Colleen Charles, and her latest novel (6th in the series) called Sniper is just WONDERFUL! The rest of the team is part of the story with the focus on Ranger Shaw, his odiferous, hairless (mostly), and exceptionally ugly homeless old dog he found on the streets and named Nudacris, and their attraction for Delilah, a/k/a Aria, Kingsley’s best friend (Cash’s girlfriend). Be warned, the chemistry between Ranger and Delilah will have you turning on the A/C and gulping down gallons of ice-cold water in an effort to cool yourself down as you read! Also, prepare yourself for Nudacris as the comic relief along with a side helping of the cluelessness of Ranger and his advice-offering teammates, as they frequently discuss what boils down to: the successful pursuit of a woman! As only Ms. Charles can do, she is both a master/mistress of evoking loud guffaws and squeals of laughter from me as I read this series. You will fall in love with Ranger, for his naivete and worldliness, his cluelessness about women and relationships even as he displays a very enlightened outlook. What caught me off guard was his respect and tenderness for Delilah. By any means necessary, he took a gentle but determined approach to win her over. And Delilah is one tough cookie who had a very bad childhood (as did Ranger) that left her feeling constantly unsafe, alone, and not able to trust anyone but herself. As with every Colleen Charles novel I have read so far, there are life lessons to be learned from Ranger and Delilah’s story, your emotions will be yanked out of you as you go from chapter to chapter, and they will run the gamut from wild elation and joy to desolation and sorrow so palpable tears will fill your eyes. Bottom line: it’s hot, funny, sweet, and emotional. Romance novels do not get any better than Sniper!

I am in love with Ranger and Delilah! I couldn’t get enough of their journey, their love, and their growth. These Vegas Venom books get better and better! I have to say I also found it interesting to be rooting for Venom during the hockey game scenes, especially when they play the Riot team, which is another of Colleen Charles’ series. You have to root for the team you are currently reading about though, right? LOL!
So Ranger is the newest rookie to the Venom. He’s young, a former foster kid, who dreams of finding stability and a found family through his position with Venom. He meets Delilah through her best friend, who’s marrying his former roommate/teammate. There is immediately a connection between them but the walls she keeps high to protect herself stand in their way. That and Ranger’s tendency to say/do the wrong thing with only the best intentions. Don’t worry there’s no cheating or major drama, but he acts before he thinks and she reacts before she thinks, which causes them some issues.
There is so much to love about this book! Ranger’s dog Nudacris for starters. He’s a geriatric stray that Ranger took in as his own. Their friendship is so precious and absolutely heartwarming. The friendship that builds between Ranger and Delilah is a beautiful foundation for what they can have in the future. All the supporting characters: his Venom teammates, their wives, her stripper friends; all combine to make a fantastic world and a beautiful story. The only thing I may have loved more than their journey was their ending (at least for now, Vegas Venom is an interconnected world so we will see them again). The ending was a perfect ending to a beautiful story. I enjoyed every moment of reading it!

Yet again, Colleen has amazed me with her phenomenal cast of characters, and the way she makes me swoon for each and every love story! I loved Delilah when she was introduced in the previous book, and her character here was just as strong and fun as I'd hoped!
At 23, Ranger is a little younger than characters I usually feel connected to, but the depth of his story, and seeing his maturity--resulting from such a difficult childhood-- balanced with his sweet innocence and joy of the world just warmed my heart and made me fall in love with him instantly. And the way he falls so completely in love with Delilah **double swoon!** The chemistry and love story here was so consuming, and I loved every minute!
Of course, it's a book from Colleen Charles, so you know the sex scenes are HOT! The dynamic of strong, sexually confident Delilah and nervous inexperienced Ranger was so well done...it could have easily become cliché or caricature of the older woman thing, but Colleen is just so skilled at making her characters real, rounded, relatable people, their interactions felt so genuine and true. And teeny spoiler...the man having a little bit of a praise kink was the delicious icing on this already very hot cake!
If you're a fan of Cash like I am, you're going to love seeing his and Kingsley's wedding, Cash & Ranger's evolving friendship, and of course, little scene-stealer Nudacris!

I enjoy each new book in Colleen Charles’ Vegas Venom series for the opportunity to see characters I’ve come to love. While Delilah and Ranger are the main focus of this book, it also includes Cash and Kingsley’s wedding!
Both Ranger and Delilah have sad and unfortunate pasts they have and continue to fight to overcome. Each has hangups that get triggered or cause misunderstandings. I enjoyed the growth of their relationship and how close they became outside the bedroom.
Ranger is eager to be there for Delilah and he tries to do special and meaningful things for her. Unfortunately, so of his surprised don’t come across as well meaning as he intends. Both characters grow and learn to communicate better as their relationship progresses. Thankfully his married teammates have Ranger’s back to assist him in winning Delilah’s trust and her heart.

Delilah is 31 and a stripper at The Gilded Lily, one of Vegas' elite clubs, catering to elite patrons. What she wants is a music career but until that happens she needs to pay the bills, put money aside and work on her stage presence.
Ranger and Delilah meet through mutual friends and he thinks she is gorgeous. She's strong and independent and he seems to have some insecurities especially around her. They have a connection and really understand each other but will his insecurities come between them?

Ranger has overcome his difficult past and fulfilled his dream of playing hockey and the only thing missing from his life is someone to share it with. He may be inexperienced when it comes to relationships but when he meets Delilah he is enchanted and now he just needs to convince her to give him a chance.
Delilah works as an exotic dancer while she saves up enough money to pursue her dream of singing professionally. She isn’t embarrassed by her profession, but she knows that she is often judged for it so even though he may be attracted to Ranger she is cautious especially since she is older than he is.
I really enjoyed seeing the relationship between them unfold as although they made mistakes they both learnt along the way and they had some wonderful friends who were there when they needed advise and guidance.

“With Ranger, everything feels easy.”
I’ve been reading the Vegas Venom books since the first and I really love the series. I liked Delilah a lot when I read Dangler and I thought Ranger was adorable. I really wanted to see them both get books but I never even considered them together and to be honest, I didn’t really like them that way. I don’t think they were right for each other and am kind of disappointed in the way it went, especially when she referred to him as a man-child. I also didn’t like the way she kept bossing him around. Of course, this is just my opinion. Still, the book itself is well written and I loved getting to see everyone. I’m really looking forward to the next book, Brawler. I liked Briggs a lot and think his story will be interesting as apparently he’s going to fall for Layla, Latham’s sister. I’m kind of liking the idea and can’t wait to see how that goes.

I fell in love with Ranger. He’s sweet, awkw-adorable, innocent, kind, eager and earnest. He doesn’t always think things through which gets him into trouble often but he is honest and loving. He is definitely a golden retriever hero and made me laugh quite a few times.
Delilah is a little older and has high walls due to a difficult childhood, something she shares with Ranger. Both characters grew during the story and when she finally gave Ranger a chance it was super hot and steamy.
Cameo appearances by well loved characters from previous books, realistically deep characters, lots of chemistry, passion and steam, plenty of laughs, a scene-stealing older dog, sweet romance, emotion and a beautiful HEA.

Colleen Charles scores a hat trick with her latest book in the Vegas Venom series. Ranger is the rookie on the Venom. Recently drafted and brought up to replace Marco on the team, and he is pumped! For the first time in his life he feels a part of a family! Raised in the foster system, he knows a lot about hard work and is determined to stay on the team! Hockey is his entire life, until meets Delilah, at Cash and Kingsley’s wedding! She’s beautiful, sexy, and a bit older! He is immediately smitten but her; not so much! Until she really gets to know him!
A great book that touches on many of life’s real obstacles and overcoming them!

Both Delilah and Ranger had ver difficult childhoods. She has a bad habit of stereotyping men and running away when there are any issues. She also accuses him of immaturity when she is not better and sometimes worse. Ranger just wants stability, love, and family. He is such a sweet guy in his first real try at a relationship when Delilah gives him a chance. It is her first real try too and her reactions leave a lot to be desired when he has flubs. She literally runs to her BFF every time. Not a good look for a 30 year old woman. Like all of the other Venom books, very funny, especially the guys together. I love Ranger telling her what he wants, especially when he tells her to start visualizing his plans for them. He is the sweetest.

Honestly love this series, the guys on the Vegas Venom are always a riot and when they're all in a room together it feels like you're slapped down in the middle of a rom-com. They're giving out tons of somewhat good relationship advice to newbie Ranger Shaw who's falling all over himself and making every rookie mistake you can make trying to win over stripper/singer Delilah. This book is spicy, funny, and Ranger and his ugly cute dog Nudacris (seriously cannot help but love this dog!) are pro at more than hockey as they chip away at every defense Delilah throws up. A really good book and so much fun to read!

This is the 6th book in the Vegas Venom series featuring the HOT emotional reverse age-gap romance between Ranger and Delilah. Ranger is a rookie on the Venom and he's taken with Delilah who's a stripper/singer who's older than him and has no interest in him. They both have sad pasts that helped make them into who they are today. Delilah isn't interested in Ranger but with an assist from an "ugly " cute dog Nudacris and the Venom family can they get Delilah to change her mind? You really need to read this HOT emotional reverse age-gap romance to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book and I'm looking forward to reading more books in this wonderful series!.

Great making it big over adversity story!
This is Ranger and Delilah's story, and how he won her over despite her notions about the age difference. Just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover, in more ways than one! I highly recommend this book, as the romantic gestures are sweet, sincere, and utterly convincing each and every time. The Vegas Venom boys are like a family, so their stories kind of intertwine, but this is still a standalone. You'll just want more after reading one player's story... just one isn't enough with Colleen's characters! Yes, they are just that good! (Well, maybe not Briggs...the jury's still out with him!) LOL Check out this book, as you won't be disappointed!

A hot and sweet reverse age gap romance. Two people who have had tough childhoods journey to a relationship. Ranger, a young rookie, wants the stability of love and a family. He meets and falls for Delilah at Cash and Kingsley's wedding! There are a lot of obstacles to love with her mistrust and his insecure foot-in-mouth tendencies. I enjoyed how their relationship grew and matured. Supportive teammates, lovable dog kisses, laugh out loud moments, steamy spice, and heartfelt tenderness create a wonderful read.

Deliah and Ranger have similar backgrounds and overall they have almost the same life goals. The story is very good but for me Ranger was the draw. As a younger man he knew he was going to have to try harder, do more, be better but for him that was just his life in general so no problem. He was sweet and genuine and just plain good. Yeah he did make a mistake or two but his heart was always in the right place. The team was like a family almost like a small town and I was here for it. This book is very nicely done. 4.5 stars

Delilah's a stripper with a goal. She and Ranger meet at Cash and Kingsley's wedding. Their chemistry is off the charts, but she's worried about the eight-year age difference - she's older. Ranger tries to do the right thing - always - but inexperience is killing him. Both he and Delilah continuously interrupt Cash and Kingsley, looking for advice. It's great to catch up with the guys on the team and their families. Princess Viv - she's still just too much! And Nudacris - that dog is something else! I absolutely love this series! Colleen Charles is the queen of hockey tropes. Sniper is Ranger and Delilah’s story. She a strong, independent woman with a plan. He’s a rookie hockey player with a beautiful soul. A bit of an age gap (8 yrs), but two people who deserve all the happiness in the world, and they find it with each other. Of course, they can’t get out of their own way, but that’s what makes the book exciting and steamy. Brilliant storytelling and amazing characters. I’m a huge fan!.

Sniper is book #6 in the Vegas Venom series. Delilah hopes to have a music career but being an exotic dancer is paying her bills. Ranger is a rookie on the team but finding his way with the other players. He wants Delilah but not because of her job. This story gives us a reverse age-gap that is spicy and heartwarming at the same time. Ranger and Delilah both have had sucky childhoods and are trying hard to escape from the past. Loved this story!.

This is a fun read about an older women and a younger man with heart and emotion. This is book six in the "Vegas Venom" series but can be read and enjoyed as a stand alone one. It of course has connected characters. This is the story of Ranger and Delilah. He is new to the team when he meets her. They hit it off but he is to young for him. The next time he sees her he is a little bit shocked. These two are combustible and perfect for each other. I love these two characters and how they story develops.

not my favorite
This book was definitely not my favorite of this series. Part of that was just me not liking the older woman trope so that part was my own preference. But I found I just didn’t like Delilah herself. He was sweet but I didn’t like the way she kept talking down to him and even though there wasn’t that big of an age difference, she treated him like a child. Just didn’t connect with this book or these characters.

Delilah and Ranger's story was a great addition to the series, I loved how strong and independent Delilah is after everything she has been through and how Ranger's character compliments hers and how much chemistry they have between them as Ranger understands what she has been through as he has been in a similar situation in most of his life.

Loved Ranger and Delilah's story. The chemistry is off the charts, the sparks fiery and the emotions thick and plentiful as this moving story unfolds. Personal baggage creates many stumbling blocks for this couple and if you are anything like me you will be rooting them on every step of the way. I am volitionally posting a forthright review.

I absolutely loved Ranger and Delilah’a story! It was packed with chemistry, passion, emotions and fiery sparks! I couldn’t stop reading once I started! Although there are some bumps along the way in their relationship, you keep rooting for them. They make the perfect couple! I love the Vegas Venom Hockey series and Sniper is a fantastic addition!
