When dreams and reality collide, nothing—especially love—is what it seems.
Tegan, the top female rider in the Wild Hunt, has a penchant for falling in love with the wrong guys. First, an adulterer and murderer. Now, a figment of her imagination.

But when her dream lover turns out to be Ian, the newest Huntsman, the compulsion to turn their dream trysts into reality is impossible to ignore.

Three things stand in their way: Ian’s locked in a dungeon and chained to a bed. He’s got secrets that might destroy them both. And with a curse hanging over her head, she’s living on borrowed time.

But for a starving woman, even the illusion of love is enough. Until she realizes she can’t live without Ian.

This series just keeps getting better and more intense. Intrigue winds its way through the fast paced plot, creating ties that weave through the entire series, while leaving this novel complete in and of itself. She kept me on my toes, while also creating a romance that I would die for. Corrigan’s vibrant descriptions bring the various settings to life, each in their own unique manner. Everything comes together seamlessly, making me feel as if I were living this tale, rather than reading it.

Corrigan’s unique take on the wild hunt was a fantastic backdrop for this intriguing novel. It opens readers up to a myriad of new concepts and possibilities. The well-developed history and mythology behind it provided context for the increasingly captivating plot.

I loved the power dynamic between Ian and Tegan. The way that it was constantly shifting to suit the situation created a couple that you could really see lasting for millennia. The chemistry between them was off the charts. The way that Corrigan developed their relationship both physically and emotionally created a whole that not only left the pages sizzling, but also tugged at my heart. Minerva’s character also became very intriguing to me. Her secrets begin to come out, creating another character that I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know better.

Corrigan has created an unforgettable novel that is a brilliant addition to the series. The build-up of the backstory of the Wild Hunt was just as captivating as the erotically charged relationship between Ian and Tegan set the pages on fire.

4 Stars – 4 Flames

First off I have to lead this review by mentioning that I gave this an extra flame, not because there were extra explicit sex scenes, but because this entire book revolved around sex and the need for it. That’s not to say that it’s over done, but I just want to prepare you guys for some serious sexual tension, attention and wowza moments.

Nancy Corrigan has done it again. Whisking us off into a world full of Demigods, Angels, Demons, Fairies and Huntsmen. Is this a stand-alone? Nope. You absolutely need to read the first one to follow this storyline completely. Although there are explanations of “the past” given in case you choose to jump straight to this one.

Ian is the brother of Hartley (from Wild Hunt #1). At the end of the first installment we find out that Ian has succumb to the rage, anger and insanity that can happen with new Hunters. While being held in a cell in Hell, he continues dreaming about the mystery woman he once mentioned to Hartley in the first installment. Can you guess who that mystery woman is? Yep…Tegan, the beautiful Huntress herself.

Tegan has spent a millennium being tortured, killed and mentally abused thanks to the dog on curse her father, Arawn caused. When she and her siblings were freed by Hartley’s love (Wild Hunt #1), she’s forced to attend to the one human that has helped keep her sane for the last 3 years; if only in her dreams. But his past and her past hold too much weight for her to get over. Will Ian’s love he enough?

I will admittedly confess that I didn’t enjoy this installment as much as the first, but that’s not saying much. I still totally loved the storyline. Nancy has set us up with wondering who the next will be about, but I’m putting my money on Rowan. I can’t wait to see if the Demon King gets what he wants or if the human will prevail. Ahhhhhh…..to love.

Ms. Corrigan is a talented writer who has the strong ability to build a world full of paranormal mystery. I just unfortunately can’t get along with her writing style which means that this is most certainly me and not the book.

We meet Ian in book 1 he is Harley’s brother, to avenge his former fiancée he joins the Wild Hunt. But he experiences the rage and needs to be locked up until he can be calmed down. For the past 3 years though he has been dreaming about a blonde woman who haunts him.

Tegan has escaped hell, thanks to Harley and Calen in book 1. She is tasked with helping Ian, Ian has been her saving grace for the past three years. They have their struggles but they get through them together and there are always tough choices and sacrifices that must be made.

This is a reoccurring theme in Ms. Corrigan’s books but there is just too much sex that takes away once again from the overall plot.

For some reason I can’t get above the 3 star mark. This is also the point where I say that I am grateful for receiving the books but I won’t continue. Please note that this is my personal opinion and that it doesn’t mean anything in the grand scheme of things.

Book received in exchange for a honest review.

Ian Callahan is a demigod in a human body, for three years he has dreamed of love with a beautiful and mysterious woman, and for three years he has hovered on the brink of insanity. Now he is to become part of the Wild Hunt. Little did he know his dream woman would become reality and she would be one of the most powerful of the Wild Hunt’s most powerful leaders.

Tegan had a millennium to suffer the curse meant for the Unseelie Court, now free, she still carries the burden of that time and a long held secret, the name of her true mate. You guessed it, Ian Callahan. He is said to be her inner healer, her destiny, but she wasn’t expecting Ian to have a fragile human body, or for him to be an incubus. Is this Hell’s way of playing a practical joke on her/ she has been betrayed before and refuses to be betrayed again. She wants a one woman man and Ian hardly fits the bill. She doesn’t need a protector in such a delicate body, she is more than capable of taking care of herself, but it seems her heart may be betraying her now, as she fights the attraction that the gods have deemed her fate.

Nancy Corrigan takes us to Hell and beyond, into the world of the faeries where returning is not always possible. Action-packed, highly charged with sexual tension, and written with a blistering pace, there is little time to relax as we watch one man discover his past, and the havoc it can raise and one woman deny herself what she is afraid to trust in.

Drenched in sexual undertones and scenes that are blistering hot, they are part of the story, not gratuitous page fillers, Ian is an incubus, it is part of him, both a curse and a means of survival. That said this is clearly not for those who blush easily. Enter the world of the children of Arawn as they come to terms with the lives they have been dealt while finding their hearts can still crave another through eternity or until death do they part.

Hunter Forsaken by Nancy Corrigan takes you on a wild ride, or the wild hunt to be exact. Ian Callahan is the human big brother to Harley, the fairy king’s daughter and mate of the wild hunt leader, Ian has focused his life on finding and destroying the fairy world portals so that humans won’t fall in and become members of the unseelie fairy’s army so once Harley releases her mate from his prison he brings Ian into the hunt. In the Hunter Deceived (book 1) Ian is trying to find his fiancé that has been taken by the Redcap Raul, when he finally finds her he has to kill her so he ends up getting overtaken by his rage. Tegan is the number three in the line of the wild hunt and the first female born to the lord of the underworld. After a millennium of being punished by the fairy curse she is released to find out that the man she has been dreaming about over the past 3 years is a real person and now a member of the wild hunt that needs help coming back from the brink of being stuck in his rage forever. They have been in love with each other for the past 3 years believing that the other one only exists in each other’s minds. Passion ignites and Ian starts the mate bond, which shouldn’t be possible. Tegan must find out what is going on and if she can put her fears of love aside and open up her heart to the man who claims he will heal her and never let her break again. Trevor, Ian’s best friend, gets caught in the fairy realm and Ian vows to go in after him but Tegan has other plans and enters on her own. Their love is tested and her challenge from the Triad becomes clear. Nancy does a great job bringing the characters to life in her books. This book was one that I would recommend to friends and family. It was full of emotion whether it be rage or love you can feel it all coming from the characters that are created in this book. I am hoping there is a book three in this series so that I can learn about the plans Lucas has for the underworld and if Arawn will be seen for what his children are starting to think that he may be. A liar.

Get ready for adventure, intrigue, action and romance

I love the backstory and world Nancy Corrigan has created for the Wild Hunt series. I mean come on you have gods, demigods, fae, demons, angels, wily deities that supercede even the gods, a well known myth, curses, eternal mates, action, adventure and romance. What more could you ask for? That being said even demigods and gods have issues with trust, whether it’s trusting others or learning to trust in themselves. Without that trust it’s hard to fully accept love when given or to give in return.

Such is the dilemma that confronts Tegan when she comes face-to-face with the man that has haunted her dreams and helped her maintain her sanity for the past three years. While every indication points to the fact that Ian is her mate, Tegan isn’t ready to trust another man, not after the last one she gave her heart to cheated on her at every turn. Were that not enough, Tegan has spent the last millennium in eternal suffering in order to maintain the gates of hell, a curse visited on her and her siblings, the hunters of the Wild Hunt. She and her brethren have only recently been released from their torment and some barely maintain their sanity while others are not so lucky. The world without the Wild Hunt has become more and more infested with the evil machinations of the fae and their work is cut out for them if they are to save the humans. Combine this with the manipulations of the gods and deities and life is rather uncertain on just who can be trusted. Every indication is that Ian is not what he appears, a human turned hunter. Nothing explains how they were able to connect in their dreams. But, as the pieces of the puzzle come together it’s very apparent they have been manipulated from the beginning. So, are the feelings they have for one another to be trusted. Can she trust the creature she discovers him to be? More importantly, can she trust herself to let go and love again?

Years ago, all of his family except Ian and his sister, Harley were brutally murdered by the Slaugh. He has spent the intervening years hunting the fae, burning their fairy rings and living the life of a two man army of retribution with his best friend Trevor. His dreams were filled with erotic fantasies of one woman. As much as he hungered for satisfaction and craved sex, no woman, in reality, could hold his interests. Not even his fiancée . Considering she had no intention of giving up her virginity it seemed a perfect match. That is until she came to the attention of the Slaugh. Then when things became dire, he was invited to join the ranks of the Huntsmen. His fiancée was killed and now his world is out of control. He has powers he can’t get a handle on. He’s on the verge of losing it and his one hope is Tegan, the woman he has fallen hopelessly in love with. The only problem is she isn’t jumping up and down to be with him. Now he’s finding out that life as he knows it has all been a charade. His origins are a mystery and finding out the answer could spell the doom to any hopes he has with Tegan. No matter, this is one man that no matter the temptation will remain steadfast and true.

If Tegan and Ian didn’t have enough challenges, they are fighting a ticking time bomb when it comes to the curse Tegan lives with. She has a limited time to discover the cure to her curse that could see her living a life of endless torment and every time she takes a step forward it seems to knock her back two. Hunter Forsaken is full of all the action and adventure you could want. The chemistry between Tegan and Ian is off the charts hot. It’s an emotional roller coaster ride that I thoroughly enjoyed. Call me nuts, but I really like a book that has me cursing at nameless entities and their vagaries. If you are looking for an outstanding paranormal romantic fantasy series then the Wild Hunt delivers.

Recommendation: Another interesting series on immortal hunters, walking deads, fairies, angels and humans; with a connection to Hell this time around - giving a different perspective to that world.

Hunter Forsaken is the second book in the Wild Hunt series by Nancy Corrigan and published in February of 2016. The plot is set in a world where humans, immortal hunters, fairies and the walking dead co-exist. In this book, the plot revolves around Ian Callahan - the newest rider in the Wild Hunt and at the edge of sanity - and Tegan - one of The Huntsmen who had been recently released from the curse meant for Unseelie Court and is fighting her own demons.

After being for a millennium in Hell suffering as a result of deadly curse that was meant for Unseelie Court, the children of Arawn are released to be free. They serve as The Huntsmen going on the Wild Hunt in the night saving the world from the evils that humans cannot even fathom and also to keep their sanity intact which was barely survivable after what they went through for a millennium. Tegan is one of siblings who doesn’t fail to do her duty as The Huntsmen but is refusing to go to Ian, even though all signs show that he is her mate. Ian Callahan - a human - has been turned into a rider on the Wild Hunt, newly turned. He was engaged to be married to Cynthia when he was a human. But now as a Huntsman he is facing the fierce rage that only a mate can handle and heal. Although Tegan had seen Ian in her dreams all the time she was suffering in Hell, in the past three years. He had enticed her and lured her, but after the dream when he woke up he had walked back to his fiancee. Tegan didn’t want to be with Ian because he was in rage and need to be pulled out by having sex with him. She wanted to live the dreams she had seen. She didn’t want to be a fantasy to him? Was he reacting to her because he was in rage? Had he forgotten his memories as a human? Or was he reacting because of the memories of those dreams? Added to that Tegan has her own demon in the form of her ex-boyfriend - Bjorn - that she is fighting as well.

How is Tegan connected to Ian so that he could walk into her dreams? In order to fulfill her duty, she finally goes to Ian to help him come out of his rage, hoping she wouldn’t need to have sex with him to do that. But she finds out that he is a god as well, only Ian didn’t know it either. He left a piece of himself inside her - only a god or demigod can do that. Who were Ian's actual parents? How could a demigod be hidden between humans? And what has Minerva - Tegan's step-mom - to do with it? Then there is the jagged black that appears on every Huntsman's hand who have been sired by Arawn, when they find a mate. What is the test that Triad has thrown at her? Will she succeed? In the midst of all of this, Ian is bent on finding Allie - his ex-fiancée Cynthia's sister - who had been lured into a fairy ring by Raul and Craig, the Redcaps. And Ian is also trying to find himself and his powers too. Will Tegan and The Huntsmen help him? Will he accept their aid?

Another erotic fantasy novel created in a world filled with humans, fairies, hunters, angels and all the immortals under the sun. Although I like the plot-line and story setup along with the characters, the eroticism is more than I would normally like. A bit toned down on it, this would be a winning series for this author. Interestingly enough I am unable to find the first two books she has written in this series anywhere in store or online. And the series started in 2015. Surprising that it is already out of print. And a new book has been announced. Hoping to find the first two and waiting for the new one, I would love to see where her characters take the plot and also if the story-line changes route.

Another easy read for those lazy days and hot nights.

Spoiler Alerts:

1) In the third book Hunter Mourned (Review here: http://inspirethoughts.livejournal.co...), when I read that Ian Callahan was the son of Lucas aka Lucifer - the Deomn King and Fallen Angel - and Minerva - Goddess of Love and mate of Arawn, and that Minerva is mother of The Huntsmen, I was wondering about incest. But in this book it is clearly shown that The Huntsmen that Arawn creates are all from him mating with other women. Minerva is their step-mom who came into Arawn's life as his true mate after his children were born. So there is no incest as I had imagined. Phew! I wouldn’t have liked to continue to read the series if that would have been the case.
2) Tegan had a boyfriend named Bjorn who was casted out of the Teulu after being marked as The Huntsman - although Arawn denied that he hadnt done so. Bjorn had killed himself as a result. But Bjorn had used her only as a sec buddy and not really loved her as she did. Was that why Arawn handed the judgement? Or was it someone else? Something we will know once we read this book.
3) Calan was mated to Harley - a half breed fairy and also half sibling to Ian. Their story is told in the first book Hunter Deceived. More of their story is revealed in this book.
4) We get introduced to Trevor who would be Rowan's mate in the third book in this series - Hunter Mourned. My review on that book can be found here http://inspirethoughts.livejournal.co.... All symptoms of Trevor being Rowan's mate and more are seen in this plot. I had already read that book before so it was interesting to see the dots getting connected.
5) It is also revealed that Dar is Harley's father and the leader of the Unseelie Fairy Court.
6) The Huntsmen (men and women both alike are called so), have alternate form that resembled a cross between a demon dog and a human - a beast from Hell. They also had powers that surpassed even what the highest level gods hold. They also had the ability to walk - only ones from the Underwold - and also their mates. The Huntsmen are immortal - cannot be killed at all permanently - due to their ties to Arawn - the Lord of the Underworld. Hence have been envied upon by all the Gods, everyone in the Underworld, the Fairies and Humans alike for centuries.
7) The Huntsmen also have other siblings who are still in Hell but quarantined as they couldn’t survive the tortures. However one sibling - Cain - survived but in a very fragile situation. His character seems shady. Will there be a book about him in future. We will have to wait and see.
8) Calan, Rhys, Rowan, Teagan, Cain and Zeph are siblings and children of Arawn. But I wonder who their mother was since Minerva wasn’t.
a. Calan is the oldest and their leader, has ability to connect all their minds linking them together.
b. Rhys acts as their strategist in the battle as well as their counsellor in life.
c. Tegan was the third in command in Arawn's army.
9) Triad is the triple-faceted God who ruled all over them - immortals, humans, fairies and walking dead alike.
10) If a hunter failed their challenge they are sent back to the prisons on hell and suffer eternally. But more than that every failed hunter would cause a splinter in the barrier between the Underworld and the mortal realms which would release the evils of Underworld into the mortal world. Thus failing the purpose of the hunter to protect the humans.
11) Looking forward to see if a future book has a story pairing Rhys and Allie whom we met in the third book Hunter Mourned.
12) Just like Arawn had Huntsmen, Minerva had HandMaidens - seventeen sisters who live and die as humans again and again until the goals given by Minerva are completed - tasks that came down from Triad as he plays the chess with the maidens too.
13) The Huntsmen have been held in hell as prisoners for a millennium even though Arawn was their father. Some bargain between Arawn and Triad had led them free. A story perhaps told in other books by the author.
14) Grammatical / Geographical / Location / Character / Historic Errors:
a. On Pg. 148, it should read "You knew you were an incubus?" A missing "you" in the line.

Nancy Corrigan’s Hunter Forsaken is a fantastic addition to the Wild Hunt Series. Ian Callahan is the newest member of the Wild Hunt. He discovers that the woman that haunted his dreams for the previous three years is real and a fellow member of the hunt, Tegan, third in command. This contemporary PNR is suitable for adult audiences.

You know the saying, “the plot thickens.” Definitely, popped into my head while reading this story – holy guacamole, talk about unexpected twists. Nancy Corrigan does a fantastic job of creating a contemporary series based off of mythology. Hunter Forsaken is filled with action and excitement.

The characters are complex and believable. I like Ian. He goes through a lot of changes in a short amount of time; initially not dealing with it well but able to come to grips. Tegan struggles with her curse. She discovers a lot about herself in this story and grows considerably. Then you have Arawan, Minerva, and Lucas. Talk about drama. I cannot wait to read what Nancy Corrigan comes up with next.

WOW!! This story has some surprises along the way. There were somethings I just did not expect. Totally caught me off guard. I love when a story can do that.

We got to meet Ian Callahan in book 2. I had an interest for him then so it was good to see a story come out about him. I did love reading about the few twist along the way. Oh, and trust me there are some good ones.

Ian Callahan was now a Huntsmen and now he was one that had given into the madness. It is revealed in this story what caused him to go mad. He appears to be one that was to far gone to reach. If the Huntsmen do not find a way to reach him he would be lost forever.

I like Tegan in this story. Tegan was a Huntsmen, daughter of Arawn which was the Lord of the Underworld. She had been through so much. I can understand her pain and distrust but this seem to be her down fall. She is being tested by the Triad and unless she faces her greatest fear she will fail and face enteral damnation.

There was some serious chemistry between Tegan and Ian. Tegan knew there was more to Ian then met the eye. She was one that once she felt something she would not rest until she got to the bottom of it. Question is will she be able to handle the truth? The truth could cause so much hurt.

I had to admire Tegan and Ian’s strength. Even though Tegan had a test she had to go through, Ian went through a test as well. They will face some pretty big challenges along the way. Question is will their love be strong enough to face those challenges?

This was a great story and hope to see others stories of the Huntsmen.

This book was possibly a bit faster paced than the first book and I became more invested in the series. Whilst the is a big focus on sex, the reason for that will become clear as the plot develops. There is also a lot of angst in this book, both with our MCs and Arawn, who if you read the prequel you will understand why.
Well written PNR and although you could probably read this as a standalone, I think your understanding of the main plot would be better if you read the series.

Loved it

After being released from their prison the hunters were told by the all seeing and powerful Triad that each one must make a sacrifice to be able to heal. Tegan, third in command sees her curse mark start changing, her time to figure out what through Triad wants from her. If she fails, she goes back to their prison to suffer for all eternity. Amazing, amazing read.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

Hunter Forsaken gives us Ian’s story. We met Ian in Hunter Deceived as he is Harley’s human brother who joined the Hunt in an effort to save her and his fiancé, Cynthia. When the book begins, Ian is locked up because when he was forced to kill Cynthia and failed to save her sister, Allie, he was consumed by rage and none of the other Hunters have been able to reach him. Except for Tegan, one of only two female Hunters who escaped their time in hell with their minds still intact. Tegan is also third in command of the Hunt and trusts no man with her heart because she was betrayed once before. Because of this, even as she is drawn to Ian, she resists him. But when Arawn threatens to withdraw the mark of the Hunt, she has no choice but to go to him.

Much like Hunter Deceived, there is a ton of action in this installment. As the Hunters continue their fight against the Unseelie fae, Craig, one of the redcaps responsible for Harley’s troubles and Allie’s disappearance, comes front and center once Tegan’s presence calms Ian’s rage. It’s as if Craig knows that Ian will be searching for Allie, and when Ian and Trevor finally get a lead on a fairy circle, they arrive in the nick of time for a botched rescue attempt. But wait, I’m getting ahead of myself here because the first chunk of the book is Tegan denying Ian as her mate, refusing to accept that he’ll be any different from Bjorn (the man who broke her heart), and trying to discover what it is that Minerva is up to. Oh yes, the games are afoot as the goddess of love holds the secret as to why Ian and Tegan have been dream sharing, and just who – or what – Ian really is. You read that right. Once Tegan finally gives into her attraction to Ian, she becomes aware in the most pleasurable and painful of ways that he’s not as human as they all believed him to be, including Ian himself. Tegan often has to make life and death decisions and knowledge of Ian’s true heritage puts her decision-making to the test more than once. Can she trust Ian with her heart? To be faithful to her? And can she save herself from the Triad’s curse?

What I enjoyed about this installment is that even as Tegan resisted her love for Ian and eventually lost that battle, the series thread continues to develop. Once Ian’s parentage is revealed and Minerva shares what she knows, it becomes obvious that there are much larger plans in play regarding the members of the Hunt. While Harley and Calan’s sacrifice may have freed the members of the Hunt, each member will have to make a sacrifice to save themselves from the Triad’s curse. Even as questions were answered, the end of Hunter Forsaken left many questions unanswered, which insured that I will be on the lookout for the next book in the Wild Hunt series because not only do I need those answer, but I have to know what’s behind Rowan’s strong reaction regarding Trevor.

Though Tegan’s body is free, she carries the curse with her along with the additional burden of knowing the name of her destined mate – Ian Callahan in this enthralling paranormal romance.

Ian Callahan has seen her face in his dreams and even though he doesn’t know her name she stirs the hungry beast and the reader can’t help but get pulled into the emotional turbulence that flows from the pages as Ian and Tegan struggle to heal each other and find a way to complete their mating. The chemistry isn’t a problem between these two because its explosive but not even the attraction or a goddess’ manipulations may not be enough to bring this relationship to its destined conclusion when the past, unraveled secrets and father’s wrath causes havoc with it. These strong compelling characters demand readers attentions as the fast paced and smooth flowing plot enthralls readers with lots of suspense, excitement, turmoil and romance.

Anticipation and spine tingling tension builds throughout the story as the time for Tegan to figure out the sacrifice she must make runs out and lots of adrenaline pumping excitement builds as Ian makes a vow that could cost him his soul in order to right a wrong with unexpected twists keeping readers guessing and of course all the danger and mayhem that is caused by the Red Caps with side trip or two to the underworld and inside fairy rings to spice up the excitement even more. The intriguing events draw readers in from the very beginning and ensure that there is never a dull moment to be found in this well written story full of vivid details that bring it all to life.

The Wild Hunt series just keeps getting better and better the more I learn about the Riders and those that created them and they are quite a manipulative bunch so there is never really any way to know exactly what will happen next, of course I can’t wait to find out.

After the simply amazing start to this series with Hunter Sacrificed and Hunter Deceived, the author really set the bar extremely high for the rest of the series...at least for me. Hunter Forsaken has the continued good writing and storytelling, and I enjoyed becoming immersed in this world once again.

After meeting Ian in Hunter Deceived, I was interested to see where his story would go since he was a newly made Hunter. What we get turns out to be a lot more complicated than what I was expecting, and involved Tegan, the third Hunter in command. She has her own hard past after being imprisoned along with the rest of the Hunters which creates her own unique issues. Putting the two of them together just didn't feel quite right to me. Even though they each exhibited outward feelings of lust and love toward each other, when put together I just wasn't feeling it like I did with Calan and Harley.

I did feel much more for Ian's character than Tegan's, especially the more we learned about his background.

The story does contain a lot of sexual tension, innuendo, and oh-so-much-more, but there's a reason behind it--it's not just there for its steamy value. The bit of a twist to Ian's story that results in the extra hot scenes was unexpected, and adds more complications to the overall Wild Hunt series.

Hunter Forsaken was a 3.5-star read for me, and would have been higher if I had felt more of an emotional connection between Ian and Tegan. While this could be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading the first two books for background and the world-building, it will make this read more enjoyable. Recommended for 18+ only due to adult language and explicit sexual content.

I was provided this copy in exchange for a review by the author.
Arawn, ruler the underworld father to tegan has released her from the prison only to submerge her into the prison she's avoided for so long. tegan will be challenged in Waze she never expected and will have to decide what will give her the favor of the triad. Third in his army she has the strength of a fighter but will it be enough to claim the love she is destined for?
Ian has been shackled after receiving the hunters Mark. His greatest challenge will be to fight the darkness threatening to consume him. A waft of vanilla gives him hope. As soon as that hope comes it is ripped from him again. Will he have the strength to convince Teagan and her father that he is worthy? Will his history and lineage be his final downfall?

Nancy Corrigan has done it again. The one thing I can count on is that any story she writes will be void of predictability and full of everything I expect in the preternatural world. She creates characters you can't help but fall in love with even when you're angry with them. I have to give this five stars because well you can't get six well you could but the stars don't allow it. If you were looking for a great story with Huns of surprises you will not be disappointed. I am so glad that with all of the challenges Nancy has faced in the publishing world she's pushed fourth and brought us to get another winner !

Firstly I would like to thank then lovely author for kindly providing me with a copy of "Hunter Forsaken" to read and review.

Nancy Corrigan has done it again.

Whisking us the readers off into a world full of Demigods, Angels, Demons, Fairies and Huntsmen.

At the end of the first instalment we find out that Ian has succumbed to the rage, anger and insanity that can happen with new Hunters.

Tegan has spent a millennium being tortured, killed and mentally abused thanks to the dog on curse her father, Arawn caused.

I like Ian. He goes through a lot of changes in a short amount of time; initially not dealing with it well but able to come to grips. Tegan struggles with her curse. She discovers a lot about herself in this story and grows considerably.

The chemistry between them was off the charts.

The way that Corrigan developed their relationship both physically and emotionally created a whole that not only left the pages sizzling, but also tugged at your heart.

But will both pasts hold too much weight for them to get over.

Will Ian’s love he enough for Tegan?

This series just keeps getting better and more intense.

Intrigue winds its way through the fast paced plot, creating ties that weave through the entire series, while leaving this novel complete in and of itself.

Arawn's past is catching up with him, his children have been freed, those that are still sane, but the torment continues to plague some of them. The Triad seems to have a hidden agenda also, one that involves his children, the Hunters of the Wild.

Tegan has spent a millennium being tortured, killed and mentally abused thanks to the curse her father, Arawn caused. When she and her siblings are freed she’s forced to attend to the one human that has kept her sane for the last 3 years in her dreams. But his real self and her past are too much for her to deal with and she is running out of time. Will Ian’s love and her belief in it be enough to save her from hell?

Ian is Harley's (from Wild Hunt #1) human brother, but is he really. At the end of the first installment we find out that Ian has succumb to the rage, anger and insanity that can happen with new Hunters. While being held in a cell in Hell, he continues dreaming about the mystery woman he once mentioned to Harley who's memory won't allow him to be intimate with a woman for the past 3 years Can you guess who that mystery woman is? Yep…Tegan, the beautiful Huntress herself. But Tegan and Ian have been manipulated into this Dream World by Minerva, the Goddess of love who also has her own agenda.

This series is wonderful, such intrigue and hot passion.

This book was sizzling and angsty. There was so much back and forth feelings and tension between Tegan and Ian. Tegan tried to fight the connection they shared at every turn, but In was having none of it.

Tegan and Ian came to each other in dreams for 3 years. Ian thought she wasn't real. He knew he felt this connection that couldn't be explained and he developed a love for the smell of vanilla. After the Huntsmen were freed from their prison, Ian found out Tegan was real. He became relentless in his pursuit of her and his need to mate with her.

Tegan had already been burned once by some she loved and had no desire to mate though she couldn't deny the lust she felt for Ian. They will have so many obstacles to overcome though to determine if they can make it as a mated pair.

I promise you will not be let down by the heat factor, the angst of the characters, and the bonds that can only be strengthened by true love. I just won't tell you the details of how they get there. What fun would that be? This book was so good, but I knew that was a guarantee after reading book 1! I was definitely not disappointed!!

Fans of Felicity Heaton and Kresley Cole will love this book!

The riders of the Wild Hunt are a group of immortals born to fight the Faeries and we're not talking your cute, tiny, glittery Fae - oh, no, we're taking evil, life-sucking, human-killing Fae. The riders are basically demigods that can change into creatures, are charged with stopping the Fae, and have the power to mate with only one person for life.

Hunter Forsaken is about Tegan, who holds the third rank of the riders, which is a pretty big deal, and Ian, a human-turned-rider, but there's so much more to Ian than being a simple human-turned-rider.

Tegan has been burned by someone she loved before and she fights her attraction to Ian for that reason and also because she discovers what the much more there is to Ian. They have a uphill battle in store for their relationship.

There is plenty of action, secrets, and smoking hot sex in this book. I could not put it down, I'm now officially hooked on this series. Hunter Forsaken is a standalone with an HEA and it will leave you wanting more. Definitely five star worthy.

We first met Ian and Tegan in Hunter Sacrificed, where Ian is having doubts about getting married while having dreams about another woman who happens to be Tegan. Neither knows that the other is not just a figment of their imagination. When Ian is forced to kill his fiance and sees his sister Harley sacrifice herself, he gives into the rage of the Hunt. Tegan is the only one who can reach him, but is afraid to risk her feelings again after she was betrayed by the man she loved. Their desire and love cannot be denied, and they give into their attraction. Tegan will need to work through her trust issues in order to succeed in solving the challenge set by the triad and to save her mate. I loved the way Ian worked to gain Tegan's trust and her love, no matter what obstacles and objections he encountered. Secrets are revealed about some key players and I can't wait to see how the storyline continues!

I received an ARC for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review, all conclusions are my own.

This is the second book in the Wild Hunt Series. It takes off right where Hunter Deceived ended. The Telu have been released but they are still cursed. We met Ian (Harley's Brother) in the first book. He joined the hunt to avenge his fiance and fell in to a blind rage when he had to kill her and saw his sister shot in the first book. Ian and Tegan have been dreaming of each other for 3 years. In this time Tegan believed that Ian was leaving her for another woman's arms every time they left their dream world. Ian has been unable to sleep with anyone, even his fiance, in the 3 years he has been dreaming of Tegan. Ian needs to remember that words hold power and he could say something that he would later come to regret. They have to overcome quite a few obstacles in order to be together. Nancy has created a world that drags you in and doesn't let you go. I did not want to stop reading. I highly recommend reading this series in order to be able to enjoy it fully.

Nancy Corrigan’s Hunter Forsaken is book two in the Wild Hunt series, and what a book it was. I was hooked from the beginning and cant wait for the next installment. In this book Harley's brother Ian  finally finds the woman who has been tormenting him in his dreams for the past few years. He has wanted her so badly and now she has become a reality. Tegan spent a millennium being continuously tortured and killed because of a curse and since her release her only solace it her dream man who has now become a reality.  The only problem is that she has played the game of loved and was played very well by her ex who didn't truly love her, all he wanted was immortality and did whatever he had to to get it. Not Tegan is scared of getting hurt and doesnt want to put her trust in another man. Can she move past that fear so she can find true love?

This was a great book that had me hooked from the beginning. Nancy Corrigan is great at telling theses stories with such detail that you feel like you are in the book. I cant wait to get even deeper into this new world she has created.

Manda's 4 Star Review
I really liked the first book in this series and like the series even more after reading this book. I love how each individual story is just a part of a bigger picture. All the pieces have to fall into place in order for the big picture to be revealed. Ian and Tegan have a difficult story and a lot to overcome. They are drawn to each other but they are also being played by a force greater than themselves. Nancy Corrigan does an amazing job telling this very in depth story. Each rider in the hunt has their own demons they must slay and when Ian's real nature is reveal it is a huge test to Tegan, Ian and all the members of the hunt who are relying on them. I am completely drawn to this story and cannot wait for the next book. I love the tests the characters go through and am also looking forward to what happens to the hunt when the entire story unfolds. Lots of twists in this one and lots of action. Cannot wait to read what happens next.

Review Hunter Forsaken (Wild Hunt) by Nancy Corrigan
We left off in book 1 knowing Ian had succumbed to rage after losing someone close to him. We pick up from there and see how he is brought back to the fold.
During his journey of managing his rage and his attraction to Tegan, we are hit with twist that I was not expecting and I’m sure you won’t either. Tegan and Ian have some hot chemistry between them and you can feel it pouring off the pages. The scenes are hot and pantie wetting. Along with the plot twists this makes for a great story.
Corrigan creates a Fae world far different from others that are around. This makes for a unique read and journey.
I am really enjoying this series. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

3.5 stars

Book 2 in the Wild Hunt series.

Tegan is one of the huntsmen and Ian is human turned into a huntsman who is slowly losing his mind bar his visions of sexy women visiting him in prison. It turns out Tegan and Ian are destined to be. They are a sexy pair and Ian won't give in on his claim for Tegan even if things don't go to plan.

I thought this book was okay, enjoyable and sexy with a good variety of characthers. I just didn't connect with the main characthers that well. The story and twists are good as is the flow of the story.

I did love Arawn, his the one I find most interesting.

This really wasn’t for me. I found the plot weak and contrived; I don’t think it would have made much sense to a new reader of the series. The sex scenes were steamy but were let down by some cringe-worthy dialogue. The thing I liked most about the story was that the characters working against the protagonists still came across as sympathetic. There were reasons for them acting the way that they did. Tegan’s bond with Minerva was a great touch.

But overall, it really wasn’t my cup of tea.
