This story was slow to begin with, but became increasingly enticing to the point where I could not put it down.
This book turned out to ultimately, absolutely AH-MAZING! I completely enjoyed it and the twists/turns that went along with every chapter.

WINTER'S WALLFLOWER - The 8th book in the Wicked Winters Series give us a chance to get to know the illegitimate branch of the Winter family tree. Specifically, Dominic "Dom" Winter, who is the lord of London's East End where he grew up. He is handsome, fair, fierce, & ruthless but if you have his word, he will always honor it.
A duke's daughter, Lady Adele Saltisford is a twin - her sister was loud, wild & beautiful while Adele was the quiet, practical one, & when she appears at the office of Mr. Winter at the Devil's Spawn to offer him her virtue - well, it was quite shocking. It was her only option to save her brother from Mr. Winter's thugs & he agreed, although she wasn't completely honest with him.
These Winters are so opposite their name - they have their own sizzling climate & they love deeply. Dom & Adele's romance goes from lust to love in a short time, but the obstacles caused by Adele caused distress for Dom & made him fighting mad. I loved that Deveraux Winter (head of the legitimate Winters) and Dom worked together in the end & hopefully we will see some closeness form between the 2 branches of siblings. I highly recommend this book to all readers who enjoy a steamy read but this whole series is wonderful & you will enjoy getting to know all the Winter family!
WINTER'S WOMAN - Devil "Theo" Winter is the illegitimate son of a ruthless merchant and a Covent Garden whore, who sold him to an evil man when he was just a child. He was raised stealing, among other illegal things to survive the Rookeries in the East End. His older brother recently married Addy, the daughter of a duke & now Devil was being asked to play bodyguard to her twin sister, Evie, after someone had attempted to shoot her while she was riding in a carriage with her betrothed, Lord Denton. He owes his brother favors but he hates society & especially the pampered daughters of dukes, no matter how beautiful and outspoken they may be & now he would be forced to be alone with her in a townhouse for a fortnight or until the attempted murderer could be caught.
Lady Evangeline "Evie" Saltisford is quite miffed by the fact that she needs a protector & the one picked for her is the beastly, handsome, crude, handsome, quiet, handsome growling, handsome, glowering & handsome Devil Winter. But no matter how handsome, Evie is not pleased & has no problem telling him exactly how she feels about him. However, after spending a few days into this hiding, she has found Devil to have a lot more to him. The attraction between Devil & Evie is evident, they both deny it & know nothing can come of it but that is easier said than done. The fiery relationship plus the humor, tenderness, danger & love make for a wonderful read.
WINTER'S WHISPERS - Blade Winter is one of the illegitimate siblings of a rich merchant, who left bastards scattered all over the East End, & a ladybird, who Blade escaped from as soon as he could get away from her & her many patrons. He grew up on the rookeries with his other bastard siblings; he is handsome & a rake & they did what they had to for survival. Now he was being sent, by his older brother Dom, to a house party given by the rich, socially accepted legitimate side of the Winter family. He was being sent out of London due to a duel with a lord after he tupped his wife - Blade is not happy to be rubbing elbows with all the nobs but needed to be on his best behavior.
Lady Felicity Hughes is lovely, her father is the Earl of Harding & she eldest of her two sisters. Her father has gambled away all their possessions & she is at the Winter Christmas house party to find a titled gentleman with money so her sisters will have a dowry & become well matched & also help with the debts her father has run up. She always hoped for a love match but now it was her duty to save her sisters & marry before it is too late for them.
Two opposites attract instantly but it just cannot be for either of them. She needs to marry a man with a title & money, a gentleman & that is certainly not Blade Winter. Blade needs to behave himself & not be tempted by a virginal lady, he never wants to marry, doesn't behave gentlemanly like the other nobs at the party & he hates kittens. The humor, the steam, romance, denial of feelings made for a wonderful & steamy Christmas book with wonderful family members - you'll love both sides of the blanket in this family!

Scarlett does not disappoint at all with the Wicked Winter’s books. I find I can’t read them fast enough, then I need to reread!
