It was the best night of my life… until it wasn't…
Bishop said the words I'd waited my entire life to hear, words I'd given up on hearing: I love you.
And then we were viciously attacked.
Or rather, I was attacked and Bishop protected me. Now he's clinging to life and the only way to save him is to race to the healing pool. I can only pray that we get there in time and that I can hold back my fears and stay strong to keep Knox from going feral.
Which explains why I'm an emotional mess and feel a connection with Cyrus. He doesn't like me and I don't trust him. That voice deep in my soul whispering that he's mine is wrong.
I've been told my entire life that I'm weak but now I have no choice. I have to be stronger than I've ever been in my life for Bishop and Knox.
If I fail… I have no chance for a happily ever after.
Wolf Decided is the fifth book in the Ensnared by the Pack series, an action-packed paranormal romance featuring possessive wolf shifters and a wounded heroine discovering her strength who doesn’t have to choose.
I feel like this series is just full of filler and could have been condensed and done by now. I don’t think I’m even going to bother finishing at this rate. 200 pages of nothing is a drag. I want to know what happens, but I don’t want to read a bunch of nothing to figure it out.
3 stars, another cliffhanger ending. They get attacked after the fair and Bishop is dying. Why the hell does the author make them travel 5 days to the healing pool? Why can’t it be closer??
Bishop and Audrey miraculously mate bond through a sex dream so there is that, some time saved while spending days in the wild…
Final book of the series. It was a slow burn series, which made me want to finish as I needed to know what happened in the end. I loved the characters, and I was really invested in their HEA.
The anxiety I felt reading this book was high. I’m really glad we get to read the point of views of Audrey, Knox, Bishop and Cyrus. It’s actually helped redeem Knox and Cyrus’s characters, from how they acted in the first 4 books. I still wish she made Knox grovel more but I can understand why she forgave him so quickly. The demand to be with their fated mate. Plus, reading Knox’s thoughts endeared me towards him when all I wanted to do was beat him up for hurting/rejecting Audrey so violently. He was a total dbag towards her and finally a switch happened. It was like he could finally breathe. This book was a continuation of their intense connection. She’s aware of his issues, claustrophobia being a big one, antisocial is a necessity for him as he can’t do large crowds. He felt she was stuck with him, and she felt he was stuck with her. They’re both similar in the regard of self deprecating, but they flourished in this one. Bishop was a large presence in the book, but wasn’t conscious for the majority of it. She mate bonded him through a shared dream and basically went into heat at the same time they all for Bishop to the healing pools. The magic power Whils used to help amplify the healing properties in the healing waters wasn’t done quick enough, and if Audrey didn’t know CPR, he would have passed. Then Audrey. Then Knox. One mate passes, and they all pass. So it was incredible that they were still able to save him, while also showing the highest ranking wolves in the pack that she has knowledge to help progress their ways of life. It’s at this point that Cyrus thoughts start to accept that Audrey will be his, and no matter what, there will be pack members who challenge her. Cyrus decided he would do what he would have to keep her and the other members of his pack safe. I look forward to reading more about those hushed conversations Audrey was listening in on. Can’t wait!
WARNING! Cliffhanger! Although after the last couple of rather brutal cliffhangers, this one seems a lot calmer, so I give it a 4/5 on the trauma scale, but feels like three if you’ve recently been through the other cliffhangers in this series!
It’s a race against time, as Audrey, Knox, Cyrus, Whil, and Deacon, take a trip to the healing pools to help a critically injured Bishop. It’s another dangerous journey, and they have to push hard to make it- and not without issues! Meanwhile, there are various troubles with the pack, as some of them have a problem with Audrey claiming the attention of eligible alpha bachelors…
This is a fast paced installment to this ongoing story; no it’s not a standalone, and yes you absolutely need to have read the previous books because this one picks up at the previous (traumatic) cliffhanger, and continues the story. It’s an engrossing tale, with lots of action, adventure, tension, and even a little steam! If you’ve enjoyed the story so far, then you’ll love this one; and if you’re a rejected/fated mates romantasy lover, then the series is worth the read.
And the race is on to save Bishop from death after he saves Audrey from an assassin’s blade. Bishop’s twin, Knox, is barely holding his wolf is from going fully feral, and older brother Cyrus is still fighting between his head and his heart in his attraction to his brothers’ mate.
If you can get past the squick of twin brothers simultaneously having sex with their shared mate then head on in as this series barrels headlong towards its end.
Audrey, still struggling with her submissive conditioning is beginning to open up with the pack as Bishop is severely wounded after taking Audrey out for a day of fun, food and dancing, but not all is well in Stonehaven when Bishop boldly revealed he was openly courting Audrey. That’s right, the pack’s most eligible and desired eligible bachelor was coming off of the market and not everyone is pleased. Once the town learns his injury comes while defending Audrey’s life will the pack split further as rumors she was involved begin to spread?
This is barely a 3-star read. The word "heaved" is used so freaking much (22 times in book 3 and 28 times in book 6 as an example). That seems like such a small thing, but once you notice it you can't stop seeing it. I need synonyms please. The FMC doesn't actually show consistent, solid strength until book 6 - I DNF at 44% and she still didn't have a wolf and still hadn't mated her last guy. So my fears from book 3 were confirmed: The ending was rushed. The pacing of this series is terrible. The events are all pretty much filler, this could have been a trilogy and been better off.
By far the worst series I've read from this author and that is so disappointing.
It felt like forever for this book to be released but it was worth the wait. I love the female lead and her journey and her men are awesome. All are so well written. And the storyline just keeps building book by book. And myths , gods and goddesses are mixed in with wolf shifters and monsters. And there is love and ordinary self Doubt mixed in. I highly recommend the whole series. It’s not a fluffy book, it’s meat, potatoes and then dessert!
The books are small, they are never boring, you want to know what will happen, the timeline is slow in the book and there's lots of books.
I wish her fmcs were more assertive but the way she writes her mmcs is delicious.
Also I'm calling it: Her curse will lift when she mates the third brother. Her attacker was her old fake mate who went through the rift to kill her. He may or may not be working with the beta bitch. Oh and the beta bitch because she said to bishop the comment about first mate makes the think she will force him into a fake mating using magic
I knew going into there would be a cliffhanger but I still wasn’t ready when it happened lol. I really enjoyed this book as we got more info on Audrey and saw how she was dealing with everything more. I’m really excited for the next book so we can explore the relationship between Bishop, Audrey, and Knox more. Also so we can get into Audrey’s untapped power!
This book was also enjoyable. I appreciated learning more about each character, especially Bishop and Knox. I am eagerly anticipating the moment when Cyrus finally realizes that he and Audrey are destined to be together. Deacon's humor is a delightful addition to the story. I am intrigued to discover if the protagonist achieves her revenge
I read this series back to back to back and waited too long to review so this is a whole series review. I don't think I've ever read a shifter romance before this one? I mean, I've read PNR & why choose with shifters in it but not one dedicated solely to shifter romance tropes. While I think fae and vampires still hold my heart captive, I did find this series to be entertaining.
I’m starting to get a little tired of this series. The plot is interesting but there’s too much focus on Audrey’s inner dialogue and a lot of it is very repetitive. I’ll still finish the next book because I’ve come this far and I’m curious.
OMG!!!! There’s so much going on!! I adore this series and can never put down the books once I pick them up. Looking forward to seeing what comes in the last book.
This is already the book five and I still feel like nothing has happened. Every book has 3 chapters that pushes the plot forward, and the rest are just fillers.
