Sadie Lancaster can't catch a break.

Her first heat is coming and the pressure is on to find an acceptable pack that will satisfy her wealthy socialite parents. Just as she vows to give her parents' choice a real chance she happens upon a letter from an aunt she has never met and embarks on a journey to the sleepy southern town of Knotty Pines to get answers. There, she stumbles into a pack that makes her question everything she thought she knew about her family, pack dynamics, and what it means to be an omega. Will she throw out her parents' checklist for life and trust her heart? Is she brave enough to rely on a pack to catch her when she falls?

The Jackson Pack has sworn off omegas.
Hunter Jackson is done with bratty omegas and the trouble they cause. As prime alpha he's sworn to protect his pack, especially from sassy, rich omegas looking for summer fun at their expense. What he doesn't count on? Logan, Graham, and Elliot inviting Sadie into their town, their home, and their pack. But Hunter knows the problem isn't catching the eye of an omega, it's keeping it.

A small town pack and a big city girl, worlds away from each other. Can they put everything on the line for love?

Catch Me is the debut book by Sirena Song and launches the Knotty Pines series.

Cute, sexy, sweet, and emotional Omegaverse. Sadie is drowning under the pressure and expectations of her parents who seek to match her with a pack for their own gain instead of her happiness. Learning of an Aunt she never knew existed, she escapes to the small town of Knotty Pines.

I liked that Sadie met most of the guys separately and it was a lot of fun when they realized they were talking about the same woman. Unfortunately, they’ve been burned before and some are more reluctant than others to accept an omega for their pack. Combined with Sadie’s fear of leaving the only life & structure she’s known behind. Song weaves this through nicely to add tension, but without it being overly angsty.

I like the world building Song does for both the city and Knotty Pines. I wish the guys had more page time from their POV (Sadie gets twice as many chapters as the five men combined) and would have loved a little more depth to their backstories and how the pack formed before Sadie’s arrival. I did enjoy that there were two distinct MM relationships within the Pack and that Sadie immediately recognized and embraced those pairings.

They get a lovely HFN in the epilogue and I’m looking forward to more updates on them as the series continues.

I also enjoyed the secondary characters, specifically Lizzy. As soon as I “met” her I thought, “She needs a book!” and I was excited to see her book is up next.

CW:
Song has a comprehensive CW at the beginning of the book.

I received an ARC from the author and am leaving an honest review.

Really Great

I’m always hesitant to pick up a debut book. I’ve gotten burned so many times. BUT I’m so glad I decided to give this a go! I would have never known this was this authors debut.

The characters were great, everyone had their own personalities. And the world building was awesome also.

All Sadie wants is to find herself, wants to know who she is instead of who her parents want her to be. By the way her parents are awful. The way she struggled between what she truly wanted and what had been laid out for her was written so real. You could feel her struggle.
You have 4 alphas Hunter,Tristan,Graham and Elliot along with their beta Logan.
You have an established alpha/alpha bonded couple Graham/Tristan. And an alpha/beta pairing Hunter/Logan (not mated) and then there is Elliot an alpha who is struggling with being with people in general. He suffers from PTSD.
They all want an omega and know they need one. Alphas can go feral without an omega. Well everyone wants one but Hunter but you find out why and understand where his fears come from.

This is a slow burn between the omega and alphas but has sexy times between the pack mates.
But once the smut happens between Sadie and the guys.
It’s 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is definitely a book you need to read!

I was impressed by this debut novel and enjoyed it. As a sweet omegaverse RH it delivers what it promises. I liked that the men had separate characters and occupations but I did think they didn't seem to do much work 😂

I felt like Logan and Tristain were the most developed characters in terms of knowing their personality and quirks. Elliot could have been more fleshed out; it's hinted that he has PTSD from being in the military but we never really see any incidences of that, nor do we get any idea of how he deals with it apart from going for a run to clear his mind. Hunter is growly and reticent but that's more of a reaction to Sadie than his actual character. Graham was the one I felt I knew the least. He's always cracking jokes to break the tension, but who is he beneath the jokester? I didn't feel like I had any idea of what made him tick. What had been his profession before he abandoned it for Knotty Pines and Tristain? He seems to have been a high flier in the same privileged world as Sadie's family, yet we don't know anything about what he did in the city.

The conflict here comes from Sadie who is trying to figure out her identity. She "runs away" from home and her rigid schedule, going to Knotty Pines to live with an aunt she never knew existed. It's a very real dilemma that she faces, and I thought more could have been done to help her discover who she is away from her family and the restrictions they have placed on her. Like, there's all this food she never had a chance to try. But how does she feel about her discoveries? Which of the foods are her favourite? She helps out at her aunt's gardening business, doing manual work which she's unused to -- how does she feel about that? Does it give her an increased sense of self-worth?

At the same time, there is conflict from Hunter and Elliot, who have reservations about an omega for different reasons. Sadie deals with them in much the same way, which was a disappointment because they're different and I wished she could have taken a different approach with Hunter. Hunter's change of heart towards her was also too much of a sudden 180°. I didn't feel he really knew her, because he had spent so much time avoiding her; and I didn't know how he felt about her apart from being fearful due to his past trauma. I needed more from him to make his giving in believable.

I didn't understand why the men were so surprised when she told them who she was. Elliot had already said he saw pictures of her at the gala, and Logan obviously knew her identity since he was a journalist; it was not hard to figure out. And though her aunt knew what would probably happen if Sadie chose the Jackson pack and decided to stay in Knotty Pines, the guys never really had a discussion with her about it. Things like would they be financially supporting her, what would she do for a living once her father cut her off from her trust fund... If I were thinking of making such a monumental decision, this would be foremost at the front of my mind. She has already said she doesn't have a lot of practical skills, so it was even more important to discuss, and to have the reassurance that if she was cut off, they wouldn't let her sink on her own. She was saying that she didn't feel she could make a decision based on their scents, but then didn't seem to consider the practicalities, so her struggle didn't ring true. A person who wanted to be sure they weren't being carried away by instinct would weigh the pros and cons.

For someone so shy and awkward, Sadie also never seemed to worry that she was putting people out; she didn't seem embarrassed that she didn't have clothes of her own and had to borrow clothes from her aunt, cousin, or the guys; she didn't fret at coming downstairs with her hair a rat's nest or being less than perfectly groomed, despite having had to always present an immaculate appearance. Was she feeling rebellious? Did she make a deliberate choice not to keep up appearances despite the slight discomfort in breaking the habit? We don't know. We're never told. Such a huge change from her former life should have caused some difficulty in adapting, but she seemed to take it all in stride... too much in stride, I felt.

Sadie losing her virginity also felt anti-climactic since being a virgin seemed to be a big deal. And the confrontations with her parents felt a bit farcical; it all wrapped up a bit too easily, felt like her father kind of just gave up after uttering all sorts of empty threats. The King pack, despite being so dark and dangerous also retreated without a word, no repercussions there. Things fell into place too neatly, I thought. She was in heat and the men were distracted whilst tending to her, and no one tried to strike against them during that vulnerable time? Really? Then we fast-forward to a month after her heat?

For all these reasons, although I enjoyed the story, I couldn't give it five stars. I just felt like I wanted a bit more depth to the story. The scents, the perfuming, the nesting, the heat, the knotting, the m/m and group scenes are all on point. I adored her relationship with Elliot and loved how sensitive she was with Logan, but would have liked to see more of a relationship develop with Hunter and Graham. Seemed like she always approached Graham and Tristain as a pair rather than as individuals (because the two men are lovers), and Graham was often in the background in a supportive role so he was more invisible than the rest. But I liked the book enough to pre-order the next book in the series.

The blurb was very misleading, and I really didn't care for this version of the omegaverse world. I liked the start of the book and where it was going until Hunter's first chapter. The blurb makes you think the book revolves around Sadie, but really, it's all about the men of pack Jackson.
It felt like Sadie was just a third wheel to their pack. Hunter & Logan are committed to each other. Also Hunter was a shitty weak Prime Alpha. Graham & Tristian are bonded mates. The steam catered more towards the guys' relationships.
Loved her moments with Elliot and most moments when they were together as a group. Though, when they (Sadie & Elliot) finally did it, it was awkward-af. It was like she was the alpha and he the omega.
Chapters 25 & 26 were probably the best in the book.

Who's the omega Sadie or Logan???
- The guys treated Logan more like an omega instead of the beta he was supposed to be.
- The constant term "brat" when referring to Logan. Brat is a term always used regarding omegas in omegaverse romances.
- I didn't like how the author had Logan portrayed as feminine when he was with the guys. You can be gay/bi and still be masculine. Hunter constantly calling Logan "boy" was just gross to me.

• Shit that irked me •
- For a short book (only 255 pages), the details should have been about the characters and what was going on. Not the overabundance of scenery details.
- Way too much scent talk, so much that it had me skimming whenever the word perfume, scent, or smell were mentioned.
- Describing a man as "delicate-featured" is a turn-off.

DNF @ 53%.

Set up: rich omega FMC is about to be married off to a dark/controlling alpha pack, then finds her scent match in an 'unsuitable' pack of alphas who are all really sweet on her except for one grumpy holdout. I've definitely read this storyline before, and some plot points (like how the omega runs into each pack member) felt a bit drawn out, so it was hard for me to stay interested.

I was however VERY interested to see that the bitchy competitor and the dark/controlling alpha pack get their story in Books 3 and 4, so I'm skipping forward to that!

I am officially guilty of judging this book based solely off of only the Kindle sample.

And what do I have to say about it after a measly few chapters?? This FL and I are definitely not going to get along. She all but crumples in on herself. She’s eager to point out how clumsy she is, how awkward, how academic, how different from her parents expectations- it’s honestly maddening- like, second hand trauma from all this dumping.

This is a No for me based totally off of the fact that I already find the weak, wilting daisy of a not-like-other-girls emerging archetype FL to be completely intolerable. Sorry. (I suppose it doesn’t help I read her other Knotty Pines, different FL character, book first. The one with Madison and the King pack if I recall right.)

This was such a lovely debut novel by Sirena Song. I loved the cosy small-town feel and the men. Sadie is a good fmc - at first she was a bit of a doormat (as her parents have made her) but she quickly grows a pair, so to speak. I adore the pack, and the different relationships within it. A slow burn, but it provides the tension and build-up necessary to keep one invested and interested in seeing where things are going. Before Sadie gets her spicy moments, we get to see several spicy scenes between the guys, and I love that.
Elliot quickly became my favourite, but to be honest I loved all the men so much.

The side characters introduced make me want to see more of Knotty Pines!🌲 great debut, will definitely pick up any other books Sirena writes.

I thought some of the main conflicts were hand-waved over for a tidy epilogue conclusion, but I enjoyed the gradual relationship development with the harem.

This book was an absolutely lovely debut book by Sirena Song.

⭐Sweet Omegaverse
⭐Sheltered Omega
⭐Grumpy/reluctant Alpha
⭐ Sweet Alphas

I really enjoyed Catch Me. Sadie is a sweet and sheltered society Omega whose parents are trying to "marry" her off to a pack that benefits them the most. While her parents are away she gets a letter from an aunt she never knew she had. This leads her to visit the aunt and find the most delightful pack.

I think my favourite is sweet Elliot, who wouldn't hurt a fly but thinks he's too damaged for an Omega. Graham and Tristan are just delightful. Then Logan the bratty beta and grumpy alpha Hunter.

In this book you'll be smiling almost the whole way through, it's a wonderful and delightfully spicy read.

I liked the story. I literally skipped every part where Hunter talked to Logan because calling him "boy" made me gag pretty hard. He called him boy eight times on one page and I almost stopped reading. Gross.

This might be one of my new fave rh Omegaverse books. I literally could not put this book down. I have fallen in love with knotty pines and I don’t ever want to leave. This small town romance pulls you in from the first chapter where you meet Sadie and see her unhappy life in great detail. When she runs to knotty pines and meets her men you start to hope for happiness for this sweet girl. Honestly out of the mmc I can’t pick a fav they were all so sweet (besides one growly alpha at the start). I can’t wait to read more by this author.

I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t love it either. I felt like there was a ton of front end explanation, with a decent middle and a very rushed ending and epilogue. I liked the concept that there’s this kind of utopia for Omegas and ideal relationships in Knotty Pines, outside the realm of the city where the FMC grows up. I wasn’t a fan of the FMC continuing to go back to events in the city with the group of alphas her parents had chosen for her, even though she was involved with the Jackson pack back in Knotty Pines. It would have felt less icky if she had been up front about it and told them she was still courting those other two packs. Though - the one pack didn’t even reach out to her, so was it really even courting?
The entire process of our FMC getting to know the alphas that she ultimately chooses seems kind of stilted to me. Almost like it was too easy for her and she felt too comfortable with all of them without having to work for it at all on her end. And the guys all went on scent alone. Which in this series is a great start, but love is not based on scent alone. Or one would think.
In most of these Omegaverse stories, the Omega's consent is imperative when taking a mating bite, and while the Omega is in heat isn't considered a time when she's able to consent (at least in MOST of the other Omegaverse books I've read), the first time that Sadie asks for a bite, they give it to her. They don't double check or say they'll do it outside of a heat. She asks one person and then the rest of them just fall in line to do the same. I like that they make sure the Omega is clear and level headed in other stories, guess it kind of gave me the "ick" in this one.
I read a review that said “no spice happened until the end” and I will say that while the story lags a little in plot, this author hits it out of the park with the smut. And she throws that smutty love around too. Different couples and combinations galore. A little bit of something for everyone. Definitely spice throughout. Starts out more tame and works its way up. Then gets crazy real quick.
This is a book that goes from virgin to sultry slut in like 0.6 seconds. I don’t think her vagina could even have handled some of the stunts they were pulling, Omega biology or not. And no one is good at giving head immediately, I call bullshit.
Worth a read for all of the smut scenes. Don’t get too invested in the storyline though.

It was well written but not typical Omegaverse

I really wanted to love this story, that's why I kept reading but I don't know, I just kept feeling jilted for the girl. It's not like she was a Mary Sue or anything, so you actually felt bad for her when she kept getting crapped on but the story was mostly about the main gay couple and then it was like the pack of 2 gay couples and another guy, who's super sweet, loved him, but then they were just like looking for an omega/surrogate to use for their family. It was pretty messed up. Especially with the main alpha hating all Omega because of one mean girl. It was really messed up. Usually the Omega is the center of attention, getting pampered and stuff but this wasn't like that all. I really wish she just ended up with the sweet army guy and the other couples do their thing. I mean the gay guys loved each other and that sweet and had some cute moments but the main alpha was a total jerk and the gay sex was main thing in this book and I'm just not a fan. It was a bit too much, especially since she was a virgin and you just don't get to feel the female involvement till nearly the end. She just seemed a bit of an afterthought and if your going into this book to feel good, relate to the main character, it's a total let down. You just feel used and depressed by the end. I wish the king pack wouldn't have turned out to be so controlling over her time because other than that they seemed way better. Especially their first meeting... Hot! I don't get why they turned into bad guys. The writing was really well done there was just too much man on man action for me. No female involvement or Omega pampering you usually get in these things.

Book 1 of a series of Standalones

💜RH Omegaverse MMFMMM
💜First Person/ Multi POV
💜Has MM
💜No OW drama or cheating
💜Slight OM drama, another pack courting her
💜No manwhore (shocking I know)
💜Virgin FMC
💜4 Alphas, 1 beta
💜Her mom is emotionally abusive

FMC- Sadie
MCs- Hunter, Logan, Graham, Tristian and Elliot

I’d like to start off by saying her mom is a raging see you next Tuesday. It’s obviously her mom is mad that Sadie is an omega while she is a beta. She wanted a pack of alphas but only got 1. Now her mom is taking it out on her. Fat shaming her and just being outright awful. I didn’t think much of her father till near the end of the book where he turns out to be awful as well.

There is no OW drama in this. They do mention there were two different omegas they were courting but it never went anywhere at all since they didn’t like the fact that some of the guys were in their own relationships with eachother. So they’ve never been with an omega. For the OM drama, there is another pack courting her, but she isn’t into them. Only trying to appease her parents since they want her to choose them. We don’t see much of them though, mostly through texts once their first ‘date’ is over, so that’s good.

This was slow/medium burn for me. She doesn’t even have sex with anyone until like 80% in. I think the guys see more action with eachother lol There are group scenes, esp during her heat.

I might have overindulged in omegaverse this weekend, but apparently that is what I am in the mood for. The story started off quite well as Sadie is this tender soul, who has been kept in a gilded cage by her parents and raised in a manner that serves societal expectations for an omega. This element to the story was interesting and it would have been great if there was a greater focus on that.

The Pack that Sadie meets... not sure how I felt about it. It kind of happened all of a sudden, there was just a slight hesitancy and she was all in. The pack itself had their own dynamics and apart from Elliot, who I loved, the other four were basically two couples. I did appreciate the connection between Sadie and Elliot, but for some reason I did not think that the same was there when it came to the other alphas and the beta. It rarely happens to completely dislike a character, even when that happens to be the villain, but here Hunter was just.... despicable.

Overall, it was an alright story. The writing was good and there were some good elements, like the new- found family with Sadies' aunt and cousin as well as the close community that Knotty Pines offers.

I love a good, low stakes sweetverse, and this was definitely that. I really liked the small town aspect, and I thought some of the characteristics of the world as a whole were interesting. For example, the contrasts between how packs function in the city verses small towns. I think I would've liked this a lot more if there had been more chapters written in the guys POVs, especially Elliot. I thought he had the most interesting backstory, but there wasn't that much character development there. Everything felt a little rushed at the end after Sadie finally decided to officially join their pack and they claimed each other. It was basically all spice from that point on and not much else. And speaking of spice, some of it was a little cringy. I'll definitely read more from this author though.

I like this book more than I thought I would

I like the world building around the inverse, as well as the town, and I very quickly picked up where the future books could come in at Fellow held a lot of potential for a debut novel for further than I was in the future

I like the slowish burn and the individual development of each relationship. I do feel like two characters. The doctor and the other one was sort of smashed together and it was like she had a relationship with the two of them because they were less important to the plot like it felt they develop very much of the three rather is individually and we saw with all the other character just because it was convenient which feels a bit negligent to me.

But I still enjoy that I really done, and I probably would re-read it, especially because I just like the community field to the book and the escape of one world to another

rushed

This was meant to be a five star. The reason it didn’t achieve it was because it was rushed, all of the angst and excitement over her parents dragging her back and the opposing pack that was supposed to have her was nothing. Nothing happened and it felt like everything was building toward something and it didn’t get there. All of the angst of her running off, meeting her aunt, seeing this new place and running away from her parents and the other potential pack the biggest conflict in the book ends up not being anything. Her dad takes it without rolling over, the other packs take it without any heat. It was just so anticlimactic. There was a lot of potential but it just missed the mark. And not gonna lie the constant title of “boy” thrown around was cringe. I feel like that’s a roll play thing and it was constantly used. So ick

This was a fun read- the writing had a few great one-liners that made me actually laugh aloud. The relationships and romances were sweet and wholesome and who doesn't love a HEA?

My only complaint and reason for not giving it 4 stars is because I thought the author spent more time on the relationships already established in the pack and not so much on the relationships of the Alphas and Beta with the Omega. Not that the Omega has to be front and center all the time.... but she kinda does, especially when they are courting her in my opinion.

And what was all that with Elliot and Tristian? Seemed like the author was trying to create sub-plot-drama but it was never flushed out or even properly alluded to. Just seemed weird and distracting.

It scratched the itch for an OmegaVerse read though.

Bleh. A lot of things felt off, but when the blushing almost-virgin* cured the former soldier's PTSD by expertly riding his 10 inch fat cock, dominating him and talking dirty to him, I finally had enough.

*She popped her own cherry on the pack's beta the night before, naturally also riding him, in his big be-bubbled bathtub. Because both of those things are so easy for someone who hasn't had sex before. I was tempted to nope out there, but I'm such a sucker for the Omega loves and covets the beta just as much as the alphas trope... Sigh.

Great for some not for me

I think some will love this one but it wasn’t for me. While I liked the characters and overall story, I’m not a huge fan of MM and there were 2 MM relationships that were featured much more than the relationships with the omega or the pack as a whole. Also the Alphas weren’t really Alpha enough for me. I can see how it has higher ratings than my ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - but again that is mostly personal taste and not bc the book is bad.

High quality Omegaverse. Slightly different vibe because Omega Sadie meets the MMCs individually instead of as a pack. I would have liked more relationship building dates and regular life before her heat and their bonding, as well as to have read some of the scenes that happened off page.

The use of the pet name "boy" really turned me off. Never read it before and don't want to ever again.

loved it

A nice low drama omegaverse story with all the feels. Would have loved to see the relationship built between Elliot Graham and Tristian as i feel there was something there. Great book though really enjoyed it

It was cute little read, our Heroes had their own troubles, as did our heroine, but it was nice to see them work through them TOGETHER, even if it took a while for our prime alpha to get there 😂

I really enjoyed reading this Omegaverse debut of the author. It is a nice, cute and definitely sweet story. With the usual emotional rollercoaster/past baggage issues. And the present situation in general.

In Sadie's case, it's her fear to let go of her safe life and structure. And a general fear to go against the wishes of her parents.

And there are the guys. Some of them have their own previous bad experiences and all, that is only partly an issue in the present. It's here again the usual, one is more than hesitant to give Sadie a chance.

In general, it was a solid experience. It didn't bother me, that it was slow burn, because there was enough tension throughout the book. Plus, there are already established MM relationships.

I really liked how Sadie met them all separately, and we get their thoughts about her through the different POVs. But it's mostly Sadie's POV.

The world around was described nicely, and I loved that it wasn't overly about threats or angsty. It's a lot about finding yourself and a feel good story.

Though, I wished the book had more details on the characters, like backgrounds and more stories. And I wasn't a huge fan of the epilogue. It basically started with the ending, which was unnecessary and didn't add anything special. For me, an epilogue is there to show how their life goes after the story is solved. And yes, it was shown in some ways. Like the way her parents leave her alone and all. And how Knotty Pines embraces her. But it wasn't much said about the pack and her. Like what are her plans now? And all that.

But after reading the author upcoming releases, I see that the story isn't closed and there will be a second book about the Jackson Pack. And there is a book planned for Lizzy. Who I really liked, same with Sadie's aunt. So, that's okay. I'm not sure, if I want a story about Madison and the King Pack. Both didn't really leave a good impression. Though, Vincent didn't seem to be that bad. So, I hope the rest is redeemable, too. I have a thing for intense guys, so Alex and Nicholas were at least interesting. But I only saw their behavior with Sadie, who obviously wasn't the right choice of an omega for them and vice versa.

I would have been more happy with a release for the Campbell pack, who seemed to be more good sports about everything and seem to be supportive of that. I hope, there will be a story about them, too. I mean, we didn't really get to know them, since Sadie didn't start the courting process with them.

So, it's a solid debut for a new author, but certainly there is room for growth and learning. I will read the next books and see where it goes.
