Rage is undergoing change, some welcome, some not. One brother is happy to go with the flow until his President’s point about the past haunting Rage bites him hard. He made a terrible mistake once and nearly cost a woman he loved her life. He paid his penance and grovelled for forgiveness. So when a woman he wants makes a mistake, how does he react? The same way as any Rage brother… everyone can go to hell! But it’s never that simple as fate throws a spanner in the works.
Being the daughter of a solid, upstanding citizen was easy. She was taught values that she cherished, and now her friends and acquaintances are being threatened. She understands there are always shades of grey, but when her father makes her aware of some local history, she puts her foot well and truly in it. What happens when the daughter of a Delta Force Lieutenant-Colonel stands up for those weaker than her and insults a Rage brother?
A brother reacts in hurt, a woman reacts with stubbornness, and two souls may lose their chance together. But Rage was warned, Rapid City hasn’t settled, and an old enemy is back and playing the long game. Opposites do attract. Is he strong enough to hold her but let her fire burn brightly? Maybe she can save herself by saving him, or vice versa? A Rage brother and his woman are about to either bend or break. Only time will tell.
I was born in 1974 in Dagenham, Essex, England! I moved out of Essex in 2002 and moved to South Yorkshire and then settled in Derbyshire in 2005.
I've got four sons, one daughter and seven cats! I'm still working out who is more trouble, the children or cats! My children and I love cooking together, movie nights and music.
I've written stories ever since I was thirteen but I never had the courage to publish one before. But we all know the famous song... This is me, from the Greatest Showman. It gave me courage to Indie publish and be myself! Never under estimate the power of a good song!
My favourite holiday is Halloween and I'm known as the crazy lady in my street when Halloween hits! My love of Halloween even carries over to Christmas when, alongside my big "normal" tree I also have a Jack Skeleton tree!
My favourite movies vary, Star Wars, LOTR, Pirate Movie, Amazing Mr Blunden, Phantom of the Opera, Memphis Belle., finally Olympus/London has Fallen. Music depends on my mood, country, pop, classical, even bagpipes!
Rage MC is the first series I've Indie published and lots more Rage MC books will follow. I have several other series' I'm working on as well. This one started out with drama and just kept going with it all the way to the end.
I liked that when confronted with something a bit out there Mac immediately stepped up, all it took was seconds and it was a done deal. Once the story was told there was no hesitation in his end and the whole club backed him, which was great!
I was a bit unsure about Casey at first. Loved how protective she was with the other shop keepers, even didn't mind her going after Mac, it made sense with the knowledge that she had. But where she lost me and many other characters was that dinner at Benards. It was brutal, but needed to be said on all levels. I was surprised that Casey took it and took it so well and how after she corroborated things she went about to do what was needed to make amends. She was sincere in her efforts, so it bothered me when many in Rage didn't quite accept what she had to say and then they doubled down after Casey saved the say. It was a hot mess! It really took things a while to get back to any sort of normal and it only came after Mac ripped all of Rage a new one.
I also wasn't sure to think of the lost Rage princess, especially when she started talking about her who who stuff. We'll have to see how that plays out in future books.
On a side note a couple funny things, the obstacle course, so great to see many get taken. I also liked seeing Rage realize that they got pushed to the side during a big take down due to their own actions. They needed to eat a little crow there.
Mac has always been the easy, laid back brother unless his club is threatened. He knows what loyalty and sacrifice is and steps up for a surprise baby boy! Now he finds himself a woman who feels exactly the same about the people she cares for. And Mac finds himself falling hard. Literally!
Casey is mouthy, strong, kind, and caring. She makes a mistake and goes out of her way to fix it. But between Mac and Casey are irate old ladies, annoyed parents, and several hospital visits. Mac needs to learn to duck!
But when things go bad, Mac and Casey both step up to save those they love and innocent people. They started with a battle, headed into a war and at the end, who will remain standing?
I’m bummed. I loved the Rage ladies totally adored every one of them especially Lindsey, and now I can’t stand them. I get how they would feel protective but I never expected the level of hatefulness that came out of them, it completely destroyed all good feelings I had for them even Phoe. Her reaction to Aurora just didn’t fit. The apology was too little too late, I don’t think anyone can apologize for that much venom and hate.
I freaking FLOVE this book!!! I want to be Casey when I grow up!! I love that it wasn’t insta love and that Casey made it hard on Mac, although I have to say I didn’t like her opinion of Rage but that soon got straightened out. I love that Mac defending Casey against the club. I have to say there were a few Ol Ladies I wanted to smack for their behavior. This book has a little bit of everything, I laughed, cried, and even got so mad I wanted to throw my Kindle. When reading this book be sure to pay close attention to the breadcrumbs that Ms. Harris leaves throughout this book. I think this might be Elizabeth N Harris’s best book yet. If you haven’t read any of Elizabeth N Harris’s books, I highly recommend that you do.
Mac & Casey. I'm so glad that Mac finally found his one. I've always liked him. Blue is another wonderful addition but the circumstances surrounding his arrival were very tragic. Casey is a hoot. Artemis has definitely met her match. Loved her parents. I have to say that I did not like Lindsey very much in this book. She was downright cruel. She's getting a bit too big for her britches lately. Yes she apologized but so what, she needs to start thinking before flapping her lips. She's coming across as entitled and obviously she's protected so she just let's fly. I'm getting really sick of Santos and his getting away. All I know is when they finally catch up to him its going to be epic. The ending also left it wide open as to what might be coming. I hope the next one isn't too far down the road.
I loved this book, Mac and Casey were perfect for each other. Casey was an amazing bad- a** and I loved how strong she is. However, I had some issues with the behavior of some of the old ladies - it didn’t seem true to their previous characterization and personal growth. That portion of the book seemed like a bad plot device. If the author had spent a little more time with those characters and showing different POVs rather than just from Casey it might have been more believable. We didn’t get inner thoughts or convos between other people to get perspective on their behavior. Despite this, loved the book and will continue to look for her new releases.
I love this book!!! This is probably one of my favorites of the series, and that's saying something because I seriously love them all. I so want to be Casey when I grow up!! I liked that this wasn't an insta love and that they both had to work for it, and I really love that Mac defended Casey against the club. There are a few old ladies that are still in some hot water with me, but they redeemed themselves enough that I can go back to liking them again. This one had everything. New people, old people, laughter, love, passion, babies, and conflict. If you haven't started this series yet, then you are really missing out.
The books are less engaging as the series continues. Lots of good dialog and a decent plot, but about midway the plot is rushed. The conflict between the old ladies and Casey is mended in one afternoon. That felt really fake given however the conflict is. Mac stops talking to Rage and that conflict is not coveredat all or how it resolves. Good assault dialog. That part was good. The efforts Rage makes to reconcile with Jacob is nonexistent. Suspicion that the timing of Aurora's appearance after years away is too coincidental, and then it just drops. No further mention. Honestly, at this point I am reading to see what happens with Ghost.
That’s just me being greedy. This book was wonderful, as usual. I honestly cannot pace myself, from page one to the last page I just can’t stop turning the pages, even though I try to read slowly. I’m not sure what I love more, the humour, the action, the romance or the characters. It’s Mac’s turn and like his brothers before him, he’s picked a feisty one. Casey nearly blows it, with her pigheadedness, but we all make mistakes!
I didn’t love this book but outside of one incident I did love Casey. Mac was a great hero and they were perfect for each other. My major issue with this book was the way the old ladies were portrayed Lindsay was made to be much more bad ass than she actually is and also the ring leader which is not believable at all. I don’t know if I would have forgiven those who wronged me as Casey did but… 🤷🏾♀️
The History of Rage follows Mac and Casey as a case of mistaken identity leads to their meeting. I really loved that this book has a super badass FMC on the level as Artemis and who gave the Rage brothers hell. This book had a focus on misconceptions, which is something that has been running through the books to certain degrees, but this took it to a different level. I found the story enjoyable to read and would recommend it.
Even though Casey got the wrong idea and beat Mac's ass a few xs it didn't help that she got wrong info and tried 2 make amends 4 what she did. But when a old lady won't let things go over her own stupidity, shit hits the fan big x!! I can't believe what happen but hopefully things will get alot better soon. I'm still a little confused about the beginning and the end but I figure I'll get answers soon enough I think...
This is the seventeenth book in this phenomenal series. This is a well written fast paced, action packed story, with found family, friendships, emotions, challenges, humour, witty banter, danger, suspense, angst, drama, undeniable chemistry, loyalty, crazy shenanigans, and love which all leads to an entertaining, and unpredictable addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Even though the book is titled The History of Rage it is Mac and Casey’s story. Casey has never been in the military but her father trained her to be Delta Force. Kidnapping, extortion, beatings all add to their story. Their story has many twists and turns but the HEA wins in the end.
A person’s past does not define the person now. Casey makes a huge mistake and it almost cost her so much. The Ol’ladies did not take kindly to Casey. With the help of Casey and her fathers friends they pull an evil presence out from hiding that had tormented Rapid City but that evil is not gone. Love finally wins out for Casey with Rage.
Once again Elizabeth has knocked it out of the park. With the introduction of a new set of alliances within Delta force opening a nee avenue of characters for us to fall in love with. Casey is the girl we all want to be and want our daughters to grown into all I can say hold on for a wild ride people.
Ms Harris showed us in this book that no matter how Rage has been clean for 15 yrs their past follows. She shows us this by telling Casey and Mac story.
How people believe the old stories until shown the truth. How people can be hypocritical towards other, how words and actions hurt those you love but in the end truth prevails. Excellent story
Well, I'd say Mac & Casey are my new favorite, but I don't pick favorites ;) Loved the back and forth in this book, Casey is a strong woman and will fit into Rage well. As with all of Elizabeth's book, little side stories, along with the main plot make this book a must read while cleaning up old side stories and continuing others! Looking forward to the next book!
I enjoyed this book, but I mean really who wouldn't, I laughed a lot, Mac needs a bell Casey is hilarious when you least expect it.. Happy Release day and Congratulations on another fantastic book!!!
As always i love the battle for happiness that each Rage couple endures. The strength of family is awesome and the humor involved pulls me in every time! Just read it, start at the beginning though it's worth it!
Lots is going on with Rage but the past is still there. But Mac meets his match in a female trained by her Delta Force Dad. But as the past comes back the future begins for a new Rage.
This had such a cliffhanger it's not done yet I can't wait I love this series so much Harris is becoming one of my favourite authors to go to I would so recommend this series. I loved we had another kick ass women that gives artimis a run for her money....
Mac meets the woman of his dreams. Boy do they have some dramatic ups and downs. Casey is as good as Artemis too. Casey brings her family and her father's team into the storyline. This one actually ends with a sort of cliffhanger.
Another kick ass female.. I love these types of books especially as she was that good she could even beat Artemis. I wish it had been longer after reading the last bit but as long as Casey and Delta are involved then I'm good!!
There is a new family, Delta Force. When they get together with Rage and the other groups sit back and watch the fun begin. They are all out there trying to catch Santos. The story is riveting. I enjoy reading the families interacting. There are fights and laughter.
Well another great book and excellent addition to the series I love Mac and Casey together another strong bad ass to add to the old ladies and Blue just so sweet
The story has some interesting twists and I found it interesting. Some of the people in the book have some crazy quirks, but the book moves along at a fast pace.
