Grumpy Fake Fiancé

Rate this book
We’re supposed to be faking it, but I think I’m falling hard for my silver fox boss.

Jordan is my arrogant, self-centered, crazy rich, and infuriatingly hot boss.

He has a different woman every week and I know I should stay far away.

But he’s presented me an offer I can’t refuse:

Pretend to be in love with him and be his fake fiance.

He gets the upper hand in the custody battle for his daughter and I get a huge payout, I desperately need, to pay off my massive student loans.

Everyone wins… or so it seems.

We are so different I thought pretending to be in love would be painful.

Only one problem... I was dead wrong.

The more we act like a couple in public and tuck his daughter into bed,

the more my heart forgets that this is pretend.

The electricity I feel when we kiss is 100% real.

I’m not acting anymore, and I secretly hope he isn’t either.

Getting my heart shattered was NOT part of the deal, but it’s a risk I might just take…

Getting to Real

Billionaire Jordan Neil has had full custody of his daughter since she was two now her alcoholic mother is married and wants her back. The idea of some other man parenting his daughter makes him ill and he hopes that his wealth will do him some favors. He needs a woman to play wifey, but the socialites he usually has in his life will not fit the bill. He needs a woman that would be the ideal mother figure to Estelle. Beth is an assistant to the head bosses of C & M Construction. She loves working for Max, but she does not appreciate Jordan too much. He is a wealth bachelor that has the looks and money to make most women want to do anything to get his attention, but Beth finds him arrogant, entitled and a player. Jordan decides she is perfect for a fake relationship which would portray him as the perfect well-rounded father so he can keep his daughter. Beth is stunned and immediately refuses till he sweetens the deal. It is all so twisted and then feelings begin to play into the situation. This is an intriguing fake age-gap romance with lots of steam when these two become lovers and more.

Great Read

I really enjoyed this book. It was well written and you could feel multiple emotions. There is an age gap, but it isn’t harped on or an uncomfortable distance in age. Honestly, until it is mentioned, I forgot there was even a gap in age. It held my attention throughout the book.

I loved that both Beth and Jordan had feelings for each other before their fake engagement even came an option. I love that they both supported each other and wanted to do right by the other. I loved that when the conflict came, there wasn’t a misunderstanding or immaturity to it, they both talked and agreed to give the other space to figure things out and worked to show each other their wishes and feelings.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I can’t wait to see what else she comes up with.

Fake Marriage

Jordan is a single dad whose daughter means the world to him & will protect her at all costs. His Ex wants her back for custody. Seeking a fake wife, Beth is his top choice. The lines start to blur when real feelings start to seep in. Will Beth & Jordan be able to make this fake marriage become very real & having a HEA as a family unit?

A good quick story to read but there were areas in the book that had gaps where I thought another paragraph could be added to have the story flow smoother. I found it confusing on who was talking & where in one paragraph they were in location "A" & then the next paragraph they were in location "B". No mention of their conversation or how they got there. Somewhat choppy in the thought process. This is my first novel I've read by this author.

I volunteered to read this ARC & leave an honest review.

When Jordan's ex serves him with papers about custody of their daughter, he doesn't know what to do. His lawyer tells him if he was married it would be better for him. Beth works for Jordan and when he sees her a plan forms. Jordan goes to Beth and asks for her help and offers her money. She agrees and its not long before things get very real between them. Will they win custody of his daughter? Will they admit to how they feel for each other?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Character a little too condescending for my taste.
The basis of the narrative is predictable; an employer, asks to create a false relationship with his employee, in order to be able to keep custody of his daughter. This is not what bothered me, but rather that Jordan, the boss, is described as grumpy, but personally it was rather his condescending side that annoyed me, as well as the lack of response, of character , of Beth who can't stand him, but succumbs very quickly. Their story certainly evolves then, but however these two points poorly convey how their emotions pass between them, apart from carnally.

Jordan is a womanizer with a daughter to boot. When his ex-filed for custody of their daughter he is determined to do whatever is necessary to keep her with him even if it meant taking a wife. Beth never paid much attention to Jordan because she knew the caliber of man, he was but when he asked her to be his fake wife will she be able to guard her heart from getting hurt? This story had me in their corner to take their relationship to the next level and becoming a real family.

Are we fake or real?

I absolutely love the way the author has written Jordan & Beth's story. If you love age gap romance that involves a billionaire bosshole single dad then Grumpy Fake Fiancé will be right up your alley. The line between fake & reality is starting to become increasingly blurry. Will Beth take the risk of having her heart shattered?.

Tropes: age gap, boss/employee, marriage of convenience
Steam: 2.5 chili peppers

I really liked this book. Short, sweet, spicy. Very little drama. The plot focuses on the development of the relationship. Loved the characters and the chemistry. Very few inconsistencies in their back stories, but it doesn't take away from the plot. I recommend this book.

Jordan and Beth

New reader to Khloe Rose, I wasn't sure what to expect. Yes, the girl has taste judging by the cover model, and the story was just as good. I love how it came together, the age-gap and single dad shone through. I hope her next read is just as good.

I received this ARC book free in return for my honest review, and it is my recommendation for anyone that wants to read a short romance story.

Jordan and Beth

Beth works for Jordan, he had noticed her before, but not like he is now. Now his lawyer says he needs a wife. He needs it to look like he is happily married in order to keep his daughter. His ex is trying to sue for custody even though she has a bad past. Jordan had to prove that he's in a happy and loving relationship so that he can keep his daughter away from her mom that isn't looking out for her.

Jordan needs to fight for custody of daughter. He would do anything to keep her away from her unfit mother. Pretending a fake relationship and marriage seemed like a great idea. Until feelings for Beth can’t be ignored. Hot and steamy read.

Age gap fake billionaire love and contempt…

Yes! Yes! A ‘whoring’ man who doesn’t know himself and a woman who is younger than him! Although she has an old head on her shoulders she is still young in important ways. Into the mix is added a messed up x !
I just had to keep reading to find the conclusion to their story. Great.

Loved Jordan and Beth

What started as a fake relationship as a favor to avoid a bad situation for her boss quickly evolves since their feelings become real strong and hard for them to handle. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book draws you in to Jordan and Beths relationship and how they fell inlove. The way the author wrote this book it's so well written and you can't help but want Beth and Jordan together as they work so well together.

Two and a half stars

I can't really explain why, but this didn't quite live up to it's potential.

The writing style? The dialogue? IDK, something was off.

It somehow missed the mark.
