Richard Peterson’s Miles to Go presented elders with underpinnings in achieving the goals of a spiritual quest for aging. The author considered many questions about senior living, and asked the following questions: What is the purpose of life? How do seniors plan for retirement? What are the benefits of being active? Do seniors lose their memory? How should they deal with the loss of a spouse?
Peterson focused also on other issues that are important to the elderly, by providing insights on their daily diets, dreams, and finances. Then the author showed what role these concerns play in developing a healthy mind, body, and spirit. In this workbook much of the discussion was based on the readings of Prophet Edgar Cayce from the Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.).
