Tons of pictures step by step. Really great if you need a visual heavy guide for getting started, including wedging, throwing, trimming, and glazing. Chapters for a bowl, mug, and sugar & creamer set.

This book is so helpful for me. It went into great detail about supplies needed and where to get them. This is the first book I've read that reminded me I need to purchase a potter's wheel and that there's a price range for them. Also, a kiln. It did seem to be a bit dated when it mentioned that I could find a pottery shop in the yellow pages. For those of you who don't know, it was a book that contained local businesses' addresses and phone numbers. The photographs are huge and very detailed. Overall, this is a great book.
