вау, вау і ще раз вау
це було так захопливо, що я не могла відірватись ні на секунду

з перших сторінок починається справжня мʼясорубка
і цей психологічний тиск, коли кожен відкриває свої секрети і потрохи головні герої усвідомлюють наскільки в них все погано в сімʼї

це дуже круто

але
хотілося б трохи більше бекграунду щодо створення Геппі Ленду
яка в творців «парку розваг» мотивація?
хто вони взагалі такі?

чесно кажучи, мені це трохи нагадує серію фільмів «Пила»
дуже схожа філософія
а я таке люблю

коротше кажучи, вже біжу передзамовляти 2 том

Des familles en apparance sans histoire se retrouve contre leur gré dans un parc d'attraction, Happy Land où seule la vérité pourra les sauver. C'était super tordu comme manga. Le concept est assez glauque. J'aime le fait que ça soit une petite série en deux tomes. Je me plonge dans le deuxième sans attente!

I enjoyed Hakaiju and I am a sucker for theme park horror and messy families so this was 2 points. This was so good and gory. It ended on a mega cliffhanger and I’m mad they don’t have volume 2 readily available on hoopla right now. I need to know!! The only thing I’m not too sure about is how quickly the family fell apart. I feel like they’d want to love each other more but everything went to shit automatically. Like what did the dad do wrong? Stand there? I really want to see the Bunny’s face.

So much fun, you could die.

Just as a warning to sensitive readers this series contains an assortment of scenes of death including multiple dissections, some melting, and even impaling. There are also some confessions made in the story that may resonate with or bother certain readers so consider this before picking this obviously horror manga up. Regardless of the name, this series is absolutely not for younger readers (which if you looked at the cover or description you should have been able to figure that out.)

There are rules to having fun and deadly consequences to breaking them in this manga that seem to mix the Saw movies and Murder World from X-men as families must divulge their inner truths or choose to die without confessing. The truth may set them free but will also change all of their lives forever...if they manage to survive.

The only problem I really had with this book is the kindle version reads like a normal manga but the pages don't move in the same way causing me to accidentally turn to a previous page and disruption building tension at times. However in general regardless of technical issues (no doubt the publisher is responsible) this dark tale of exploring the dark side of human nature in a deceptively fun amusement park is still an interesting read unafraid of potentially grossing its readers with excessive gore. Plus being only the first part of a two part story means we won't have to wait long to see the fate of all involved. :)

одна з найжорстокіших історій, які я читала, ще й купа брудних таємниць, постійне відчуття безвиході, і абсолютно всі персонажі викликають відразу. не раджу лише тому, що це не для всіх. особисто для мене - на один раз, перечитувати б точно не взялась і радію, якщо чесно, що не маю друкованого примірника, бо не хотілось б тримати цю мангу в себе

I’m not sure about this Manga. I want to like it. Dad somehow drives to the middle of nowhere for a surprise vacation for the family. Ends up at Happyland but has no clue where, how or why they got there. Happyland is ran by a very muscular, sexual Mr Bunny. Then everyone gets in free and all the rides are free. Then everyone starts dying. You get chopped to pieces on a roller coaster unless you tell your deepest darkest secret, therefore saving the daughter (she has sugar daddies). Now the sons turn on a tea cup full of scalding boiling g tea that will kill you, he tells his and lives (he is dating his English teacher). Now mom is up on a go karts. She tells her secret and lives (tells husband neither kids are his). There will only be only family that will live in the end. It ends there. Like I said. I want to like it. Just very cheesy and forced.

I received this DRC from Edelweiss.

I was surprised at the direction this one took. It gets right into the action without building it up first because the real story is in all the secrets the family is hiding. The first two secrets were surprising; the third one wasn't as much. I am curious what kinds of things the dad is hiding.

This was a quick read. The artwork is all black and white, and I think the illustrations are done well.

This was a fun read, in a very dark and twisty way, but I'm not completely sold. Probably because all the characters are so unlikable that it is really hard to feel any empathy towards them and their predicament, and therefore I'm ok with them dying... plus the secrets are just very melodramatic.

I will probably read volume 2 whenever available, but they better do something to make the reader (at least me, for sure) care about what is going on here.

I don't know which was more shocking the amusement park or the families for me. I intensely didn't like Hiro, I felt like he was the scariest character in the whole thing.
I loved how gory this one was, I liked the rides created.
The ending I wasn't expecting and definitely makes you want to find out what's going to happen next.

La famille Komiya est en route pour une destination secrète. Le père, Kenji, réserve une surprise à sa femme et à ses deux enfants. Problème, après avoir traversé une forêt, le paternel ne sait plus où il se trouve. Leur voiture s’arrête finalement devant les grilles d’un parc d’attraction et une fois à l’intérieur, ils sont pris au piège. Seule condition pour sortir de là, profiter sans réserve de chaque attraction, sans faux-semblant, pour accéder au bonheur. Dans le cas contraire, c’est la mort assurée.
Un vrai manga WTF, ultra gore et sans limites. Le principe est aussi simple qu’effrayant, il faut montrer sa vraie nature, révéler ses plus sombres secrets pour survivre. Chez les Komiya le déballage de chacun va faire voler en éclat l’image de la famille parfaite. Les épreuves pratiques à subir par les visiteurs sont à la fois originales et épouvantables. Et le mélange entre la dimension psychologique et la pure dextérité offre des scènes d’anthologie. Après, c’est très clairement inspiré d’Alice in Borderland, la filiation avec la série mythique d’Haro Asô sautera aux yeux de ceux qui ont la référence.

Жахастик про парк атракціонів на виживання, куди одного разу потрапляє багацько сімей. Щоб вижити, треба під час відвідин якогось атракціону викричати свою страшну таємницю. Інакше зроблять боляче насмерть. Звичайно ж, члени сім’ї чують отой крик з таємницею, тому скандалять та сваряться одне з одним. Так і сталося з сім’єю головного героя. До візиту в парк він вважав свою сім’ю ідеальною.

Ну що ж, насильство з відрубаними кінцівками і відлітаючими головами є. Мала б ще бути напружена атмосфера, але вона якось не відчувається. Фінальний для 1-го тому секрет матері дуже передбачуваний. Але читати цікаво: хто знає, який наступний атракціон підготували паркові звірятка-маньяки. Та й самі атракціони - це квінтесенція японських горорів, абсурд, викручений на максимум.

A perfect little family stumbles upon an amusement park and decides to go there. The family turns out to be not so perfect, and the rides are, of course, deadly.
I read this manga because I love the cover and was promised a sadistic villain a la Clockwork Orange. I still love the cover but the villain reminds me more of John Cramer, who I hate deeply (I know, I'm going to make enemies). Overall I had a good time reading it, but nothing more. The drawings are nice and the story is enjoyable. If you like deadly amusement parks and/or families facing danger, you'll probably enjoy it

l'idée du manga est vraiment super sympa une (plusieurs) famille(s) obligée(s) de révéler chacun
leur tour lors d'une attraction leurs pires secrets et plus vous avouez de gros secret plus vous avez de chance de survivre MAIS attention les révéler apportera son lot de conséquences.
L'histoire est bien travaillée bien que que vu de l'extérieur l'histoire peut sembler courte absolument pas. Et la fin peut sembler bizarre à part si on est un grand fan comme moi de survival game c'est vraiment bien trouvé.

Happy Land, c'est une histoire de violence principalement. La violence du monde qui entoure cette famille qui se retrouve dans un parc d'attractions où les manèges et les jeux sont mortels. Pourquoi sont-ils là? Pourquoi doivent-ils tous mourir? Qui est cet homme à tête de lapin? C'est barré, violent, mais il y a un réel suspense tout au long du récit. À découvrir pour les amateurs de Final destination, Squid game ou les slashers bien gores.

Why are we always surprised that human flesh is delicious? It HAS to be. Why else would we have all these rules against eating it? If it tasted horrible, we wouldn't need the rules, the "challenge of procurement" plus the horrible taste would probably turn just about everyone away other than a super rich family doing some sort of test for a new family member where they have to eat the flesh of the only member of the serving class who ever showed a shred of kindness. And even then, it's really not about the taste.

This was so gruesome and fun. The horror gets started almost immediately and the slight competition element makes it very reminiscent of Alice in Borderland but with a much greater emphasis on family drama and salacious secrets. It was fun to see how the amusement park rides "worked" and the consequences for the park guests. This is not light on the gore and does leave on a bit of a cliff hanger which definitely has me wanting to pick up the next volume.

Although an interesting concept, the beginning is heavy and there's no context for anything. There is something happening, you just don't know what it is, to the point that you don't care that much. I finished for morbid curiosity, the good writing for each character, and the art. I still want to read the next volume.

An amusement park that "happy" families end up in by some mysterious circumstance. Survival depends on how much truth you are willing to reveal about your actual life and feelings. Gory, bloody, silly, sometimes funny in a bizarre way. Enjoyable but not too serious.
