Scar and her men are back! Defile begins where Crash (Book 1) left off and just gets more interesting as you read it! 🖤 I do want to mention that this book is a bit dark and may trigger you if you aren’t into/use to reading dark shiii. I highly suggest that you check out the Preface at the beginning of the book. It will tell you what it is your getting into somewhat. If you are into dark shiii like me, then by all means, go for it! Defile is spectacular! By the end of the book, I was bind-effin-blown! This book does end on a cliffy that will make you do a double take at how it ended. I sure as eff did. I didn’t expect it to end that way. I was mad af because….well you will see lol. 😈 The things that Scar goes through in this book is just crazy af! She definitely is Cassie and Ruby’s family because all these women seem to go through a heck of a lot of shiii. But they still keep there chins held high and come out on top! Miles has my black heart along with Max! 🖤 Those two men just know how to take a girls breath away. Tristan is a different being! That man not only has my black heart, but my soul. I love how possessive he is. You can tell he loves Scar like she makes the sun rise! Hugo is suck a sweetheart. He isn’t as dark as the other men but you can tell he can get there. The love these men have for Scar is unimaginable. I love it!! Makes me kind of jelly now that I think about it! 😈 Defile was just flucken amazing guys! There is so much I want to say but don’t want to spoil it for y’all lol! I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for Rule to come out! Defile
Have you ever been so engrossed in a book that you completely block out the “real” world? Become so invested and involved with their life, hopes and dreams that you can actually give them a pass on any violence they may need to do in retribution or as payment for hurting someone they love? This is exactly that kind of book/series for me!
This book picks up in the exact moment/ moments where we left off on the previous book, Scarlet has been taken and her group of sexy psychos are determined to get her back. No matter who took her, or why they took her she is theirs and some form of painful retribution is awaiting the perpetrators of this heinous crime.
Scarlet awakened to a complete nightmare and she has no idea how she is going to get herself out of there. If she had her weapons then her chances would be better, but unfortunately all she had is her sharp tongue and her ability to aggravate others. A not so useful ability at this exact moment in time. But Scarlet does have faith in her men and also a strong faith that somehow she will definitely get out of this mess, and then she will rain down pain and intense retribution on anyone who had a hand in this huge betrayal of her trust.
If you love strong FMC’s who can make you chortle in the most inappropriate of times, then this is definitely the book for you! Take a journey into the clever and sometimes dark world of Eve Newton, and be sure to order takeout for your family! You’re not going to want to put this book down until you turn the last page!!!!!

I would give this book 100 stars if I could. Second in the bleeding hearts series and what a wonderful book it is! You get some answers, some closure, some new questions arise and a whole new plot twist that's super drool worthy!!!
This is Scarlet's story with her Harem of sexy secret society deam guys! This book has kink in it for some fair warning and I love how Eve can capture that relationship between the characters and have it not bleed over into the others in the harem!
If you are with us on this grand story (which I suggest you join us) we know that Scarlet is Ruby's sister and are both strong women who have amazing men with them. Scarlet is a more patient purer soul that has a Darkside to her that her men love to explore. Tristan, Max, Hugo, Miles are her men and each one is drool worthy and has this delicious darkness and their individual sexual kinks that Scarlet dazcan't wait to explore with.
The book isn't all about steamy scenes it was a good story about a girl who was once feeling lost and out of place coming into her true self, finding her place, finding her power and changing the world. Scarlet is a kind soul and you fall for her and her men the moment you start reading. I seriously couldn't put this book down and took my free time with my head buried in this book and the real world forgotten. Wonderful series and impatiently awaiting the next one. Eve you are a wonderful writer thank you for sharing your amazing stories with the world!

Eve does it again! She brings darkness, intrigue and suspense in one delicious package that I can’t quite comprehend what to do with myself now I’ve finished. Defile is the immense second instalment to the Bleeding Hearts series. It’s tense, pacy and deliciously dangerous in all the right ways. This book had me shook with the twists and left me on the edge of my seat, desperate for more. Eve has succeeded in delivering an enticing, engaging and enthralling plot line with a darkness that weaves its way into my soul. Again: expect the unexpected…you’ll still be surprised. It more than lives up to every expectation from its first instalment and continues to set a high bar for the rest of the series.
I love a strong woman. Once again, Scarlet lived up to the title. She made me feel empowered. She took ownership of herself, using logic, reason and rationale to do whatever was necessary by any means necessary and I loved that we saw that. I loved that we had this experience and that she stuck true to her values and who she is at the core.
The dark, dangerous and deliciously written men, who stole my heart, continued to prove why Eve is so amazing at what she does. Each man brooding, dark, desired yet vulnerable and willing to open their hearts despite the fallout. Their distinct ways were explored further and it was incredible to see the progression of each but also, the added layer of insight was welcomed.
The dark, dangerous, delicious scenes left me wishing it was me! Written so well, I was immersed in them completely .
I genuinely cannot wait to read on. I’m on edge until then.

Eve's stories are awesome. Plot and engaging / high tension stories are definitely where she shines.
Things that didn't really work for me (spoilers ahead):
The writing leaves a bit to be desired, and Eve's insta-love is the most intense insta-love I've ever read.
I love insta-love trope when it feels real, but it almost never feels genuine in Eve's books. Pledging life long devotion after like a week with just about no conversations on page? Meeting someone in passing and risking everything with the guys you are in love with because you need to explore things with this stranger? And she acted so flippant about it, which bugged me a ton.
The dolly kink thing kind of creeps me out. And I couldn't figure out how she was so okay with that after everything that had happened.
I feel like she brushes over a lot of brilliant character development / exploration opportunities. The sweeping declarations with no lead up, the "I should know better" comment after she got triggered by someone using a tissue on her skin and then the feeling just goes away in an instant, the overnight betrayal of the FMC's assistant came out of nowhere... and her reason was ridiculous for all the reasons the guys gave her. She shows no remorse and then commits an even worse act of betrayal for no reason.
I'll definitely keep reading Eve's books! I've read a lot in the last few months, and they're consistently page turners. Easy, fun reads if you just go with the flow!

Eve really pushes the boundaries of what her characters can endure in this second installment but it means we can to see them pushed to the brink that sparks that inner fire, that strength they need to exist in a world that is all shades of black. You will fall in love all over again which each and every one of them.
Scar should be broken by what she endures, she might get knocked down but she rises again with an iron will and determination. She's like a phoenix that rise from the ashes of her old self into the queen her men know she is capable of being.
Scar's men are something else not only arr they dark and depraved in their own ways but these villains really will burn the world down for her. Their desire their need for her will sate any black heart, it call to your soul when you experience their emotions so clearly. These men are exactly who she needs to feel complete and she complements them perfectly.
I love how Eve crafts her work so you never know if the reprieve is here to stay or a fleeting moment of light in this dark and twisted world. You will not be reader for the layers of twists and turns she throws your waybut you won't be able to stay away.

Hmmm, *again*
I think that if you can read this as random fluff you’ll be fine. The concept whilst far fetched is sadly at the same time still kinda believable. Basically it’s rich white men playing god with everyone’s lives just to get richer.
The DD:LG kink is still ongoing in this book carried on from book 1. It’s not my kind of thing but it was introduced into the story under false pretences which IMHO makes the *ick* factor worse. The cliffhanger in this one makes me wonder if it’s worth reading the last book? It just came off as a bit convoluted. Which is why I mentioned the *treat it as fluff* comment earlier.
The main bad guy definitely fits the bill. I was a little disappointed that the author didn’t have the FMC provoke him with the scientific truth about conception. It’s the sperm that determines the sex of a foetus. The egg is always X chromosome the sperm is either X (resulting in female - XX) or Y (male - XY) so if he was angry about his victims producing girls he’s only got himself to blame. Then again why would he let the truth influence him?
I think the overall concept just annoyed me. In the FMCs shoes I’d want to tear the whole thing down.

Oh my goodness, this book was incredibly dark to the point that you will shed a few tears. However with that being said Scarlet does not lay down and just take it. You truly see her strength in this book and how all the men help her become more of who she truly is. Scarlet has every reason to throw in the towel and be done but she just turns around and burns the world down and gets her just vengence on those that have wronged her.
This book is beyond steamy as well as we see more into the mens depravity and their darker fantasies that you might just need some extra batteries for. But gosh darn is it worth the read.
I absolutely love the cameos in this book as well as Scarlet's feelings on her past being addressed. This book hits the feels and then hits you with quite a few whoppers that will have yoir jaw dropping (and possibly a lot of screaming at these characters along the way).
This is beyond a must read and I highly recommend, the character growth alone in this book was incredible to see and the storyline had me hooked from the beginning.

Defile continued the fast pace that the first book - Crash started and it kicked off right where that first book ended. With Scarlet in a desperate situation. One that she cant talk her way out of. For me it felt as if this book was darker than the first and some of the parts were pretty bloody too! Still at the heart of it is the relationship between Scarlet and her psychos. Swoon..................could they get any hotter in this book??? My word yes they can and they did but they also showed a softer side towards Scarlet i thought. Just when i think ive kinda got things worked out in this series i get a cliffhanger ending like this one that completely throws me!!! Bloody hell was it a goody though. A cracking read that im loving reading so much

This is not for the faint of heart and reading book 1 in this series Crash is a must. This one picks right up and Max is torn and psycho with the others intent on finding Scarlet. However there's no trail yet so they search whatever they can until they have one clue and start from there. Blood, gore and all the dark themes here but this is well written and I love Eve for it! Now about finding Scarlet and delivering some serious injuries to the ones who hurt and took her. Loved it and couldn't put it down.

She did it again! Every time I think I know what is going to happen at the end of the book, there’s a plot twist that catches me completely off guard.
Scarlet was in trouble at the end of Crash, and the transition into this book was seamless. It ran the gamete of emotions, I laughed so hard I shot my drink everywhere several times, I was mad, and definitely needed a cold shower 🥵
If you love dark RH with Alpha men, and psychos, definitely read Crash first, and then read Defile. You won’t regret it!

Wow what a fantastic story!!! Oh I so love Scarlet. So anyway this is book 2 in this series and yes you have to read book 1. Right in the beginning I was hooked. Story does have some triggers. I literally just finished reading since I couldn’t put it down. I’m slightly obsessed with this story. Storyline is just phenomenal. Couple parts I so wish I could mention but nope no spoilers here. But holy heck that cliffhanger. Was not expecting that at all. So need the next book now!!! Definitely recommend.

Defile is the second book in this amazing series and it just keeps getting better and better. We join the story right where we left off and we find out what has become of Scarlet. And you know me, I do not do spoilers, so I won't tell you who or why, but rest assured she has her sass and her gumption - just wish her body did what she needs it to do.
Who can she trust? Who is a friend and who is foe? Well we find out who isn't a friend that's for sure. But our guys are definitely inventive when it comes retribution.
Loved every bit of it.

Eve Newton brings us an amazing second book in the Bleeding Hearts series! Scarlet and her men find that life is getting complicated and getting worse before it starts to get better. Beautifully written with complex characters and plot twists that keep you guessing and turning pages throughout, this is sure to become a favourite! I loved reading this story and highly recommend it! Don't miss out on this book!!

down dirty and okay..
If you’re not looking for any type of complexity or depth to your plot then I’d read this series. It started strong, but then this book became so much more unbelievable. There is a quick transition from tr@uma to being okay again with little intervention. However if you looking at it just for spice and a fun non believable read then this series may be for you. Each book is connected to the same storyline and people

Defile is the second book in the Bleeding Hearts series and it was beyond engrossing! It is a deliciously dark read that keeps you guessing. I did not put this book down once I picked it up. It kept my mind racing with questions. I loved Scarlet and her men. They are developing to be even more complex. The ending has left me speechless. I am anxious to read what will come of it.

Scar has been through so much so far in both these books that I just want to reach through my kindle and hug her. The story line in so far just keeps getting more and more intense that you never truly know what’s going to happen next. Scar and the guys are next level hot! Looking forward to see where we go next!

Lost for words that was everything I wanted and more full of action and unexpected shout out loud moments with some gorgeously filthy scenes that get you hot under the collar but damn it that cliffhanger is a doozy it left me staring open mouthed for a few minutes trying to collect my thoughts

Wow okie this does have a dozie of a cliff hanger! I'm so in rated to see how this works out for Scarlett! This book picks right up from that wicked ending in book 1 and the hits keep coming! A few I didn't see coming amazing job!!!
