This fellow is a MASTER. His writing voice is very Victorian with tounge inserted firmly in cheek. Not only did he write the book but he drew all of the illustrations as well. His effects are not for the beginner but might be fun to fiddle with as an intermediate just to have somewhere to aspire. The descriptions sometimes read a bit dry but his anecdotal sections between effects are extremely entertaining. WARNING: This book is for the serious student ONLY. The $45 price tag alone should discourage the merely curious.
