221 pages with a recipe and sweet characters, small town setting. A developer comes to town and tries to contest ownership of local deli. Widowed Gracie is a senior amateur sleuth who frequently prays for guidance. Some WWII history, positive, upbeat, perhaps a bit weak on plot development. Written from a Christian perspective.

It makes me want to read more about the Italian Partisans of WWII. I have the privilege of knowing one of them, Amelio Giannetta. His story is told in: It All Began in Rome.

A nice, easy read! I enjoyed the characters and the setting!!

A little more interesting than the first one in this series that I read. More mystery. Don't know if I'll read more or not. Easy reading though.
