Karma

This is an angsty second chance MC RH. It’s not good, but it’s also not horrible. I’ve read worse books that have thousands of 5 star reviews. So, I’m confused why this has so few reviews and seems like nobody has read it.
Dani, aka Karma, grew up as an MC club princess. She was in a relationship with 3 of the guys, but when she was 17, her horrible dad showed up and had her kidnapped. He also edited some fake photos of her cheating on her guys. So, her guys thought she betrayed them, and they immediately slept with a club girl. Karma went through a horrible ordeal getting trafficked (mostly off-page), and now works to rescue other trafficked girls. 7 years later, circumstances put her in the path of her guys again.
This is a good premise. The story just needed to be developed and fleshed out a LOT more. Everything felt surface level, without much character depth, and a lot of things were glossed over. So, we don’t feel the angst, drama, and tension as much as we should.
For example, one of the club Old Ladies raised her, but since the whole club thought Karma abandoned them on purpose, this woman is mad at Karma after she returns, and slaps her. But, that scene has no emotional impact, because we never saw Karma’s relationship with this woman when things were good between them. There are a lot of scenes like that, where a moment COULD have emotional punch, but it lacks it because this story had too much telling and not enough showing.
This story has potential, but it’s too undercooked. Her reconciliation with the guys felt rushed, and so did the conflict with the villain.
Since its review page is so empty, I thought this book must be awful. Off the top of my head, Trick or Revenge is another dark RH standalone that’s worse than this, but that book has tons of reviews - and a lot of positive ones! So, I’m confused. Why have thousands of people read that bad book, but nobody has read this one? Life is a mystery.

2.5 stars: I have to agree with Claire's review here as it is surprising to see so few reviews posted. I remember seeing this on KU at some point in time, but then when I looked for the book, it was no longer available., so managed to get it through Kobo. This definitely had potential as the entire concept seemed intriguing, I reckon that it did have the core backbones for a good MC story. However, there were things that simply did not sit right with me. When you love, you love, so what are the chances of you believing the first contradicting information that comes your way in regard to that special person in your life? I get that they all were very young and emotions were running high, but that is not an excuse for such deeds.
As for the FMC, she is this strong assassin , who has been through quite the traumatic experience, but when faced with the three gentlemen, who had broken her heart, she simply accepts their treatment of her. Why would a mature woman, an assassin nonetheless, allow anyone such hostility without a justifiable reason. It just did not make much sense to me despite the fact that her rationale behind it was shown. In terms of the relationship between the guys and the main heroine.... they should have grovelled more in my humble opinion, not to mention some rather questionable decisions that they made without the FMC's consent.
Now, perhaps if we could see her backstory with the guys and the members of the club who essentially were her family, this would have been a different reading experience. Overall, I did like the story and as mentioned earlier, I think there was potential, but it somehow did not quite work for me.

This was great!! Short, to the point, and no holds barred! How do you heal when you've been broken? You become Karma, giving what is deserved. Second chances, why choose, and spice...I'm here for it! Such a fantastic read, 5 star and definitely a recommend. T.M. Sanders knows how to write Girl Power!

This was a whirlwind. I loved how raw and dirty all the spicy scenes were. This book was tragic and uplifting all at once. This definitely isn't a sweet romance and you should check the triggers. Karma is a force to be reckoned with. I like how her awful trauma turned her into the fierce woman she became. Her new name definitely suited her. Also, I need a Hendrix in my life!

Facebook got me again! But its on Amazon so no pay per chapter app. FC is an orphan (I think) who is taken in and raised by the club. She meets and falls for 3 guys, all members of the club, and they are going to make her their old lady but that night she gets kidnapped by her father and given to the guy he owes money to. Now this deadbeat dad somehow manages to photoshop photos that convince all the club that she ran off with someone else (who he killed) and so the guy all hook up with one of the cub ladies, which is filmed. She sees this video and is basically in sexual slavery and abused by the guy she is sold to. Que 7 years later, she was freed 6 years ago and healed and trained to become an assassin, changing her name to karma. She has to go back to the club as they need help, girls are being kidnapped and they employ the company she works for to solve the kidnappings. Twist it’s the guy who took her. Lots of miscommunications and hurt over everyone thinking she betrayed them, no one asks but she wont tell, but shes still in love with them and they her so they get back together. One of the better stories that facebook adds have sucked me into!!

Highly recommend this novel honestly it’s no holds barred straight for the gut in the feels on how betrayal and lies can hurt everything involved if u love fast paced second chance romance novel with no holding back this is for u solid 5⭐️
