I was intending to slap this volume with a three-star rating, as I did with Volume 4, unintentionally using Boku to Roboco as a "sacrificial lamb" to help lower my "average ratings" on Goodreads, but... Chapter 49 was too wholesome, I just had to bump the rating. Really, I thoroughly enjoy any time Motsuo and Gorilla are shown to be great friends to Bondo, and I think this flashback chapter was the peak so far.

Miyazaki continues to reference Hunter x Hunter more than any other Jump manga, so I'm interested in catching up fast, as I want to see what he thinks of the manga having finally returned from hiatus!

Also, somewhat odd, Miyazaki continues to show reverence for The Promised Neverland, which makes me wonder if Japan just enjoyed the entire manga, or if it's simply because this was before the second anime season ruined the IP....

I still can't get over Meico having teal hair in color pages. Her hair in black-and-white looks too dark.
