Past and present weave together in Donovan’s point of view for the next chapter in Donovan and Sabrina’s life.
She was supposed to save me.
In a twist of fate, I rescued her. Since then, I’ve lived for her, breathed for her, overreached with my love.
She’s still here, so I must be doing something right. But now I want more.
Except, a dangerous secret from my past threatens to come between us, forcing me to confront what kind of man I am.
And whether I’m the one who can save our future.
Or whether fate has other plans for us.
This book follows the Dirty Duet. It’s not necessary to read all the books in the Dirty Universe before reading this, but it is recommended for a better reading experience.

I don't even know where to begin with this review, because Kincaid has left me utterly speechless.
It became my most highly anticipated read of 2022 the second Laurelin announced that she was writing it, and that anticipation only grew after I devoured Ten Dirty Demands - a short story that's basically a prequel to Kincaid as it sets up the upcoming events of this book by showing us where Sabrina and Donovan are in their relationship, and what it is a certain someone wants next from it. That certain someone being Donovan, and it was honestly a surprising read because we see him express some vulnerability in that story that had me asking many questions. And Laurelin did not disappoint in giving us all the answers we could've ever wanted, and so much more.
To say Kincaid was phenomenal is an understatement. I honestly don't think there's even a word out there to perfectly describe how amazing this book was. It's been years in the making to get inside Donovan's head, and it was everything I was not expecting, but also hoped it could be.
...I know there's no life without her. Not for me.
I was a little scared to read it though, only because Donovan and Sabrina are my all-time favourite characters and couple... ever. And even though I will always want new content for them when we can get them, it is always a worry that whatever new content we get is one that sets this couple up for heartbreak. And that's exactly what happened here in Kincaid. Laurelin puts them through the ringer here; heck, fate puts them through the ringer when secrets threaten to hurt their relationship, and Donovan finds himself fighting to fix the mistakes of his past to keep his future secure.
Given that Kincaid is told entirely in Donovan's perspective, it means you get to see many sides of him here; protective. Possessive. Perceptive. Powerless. And it was all so raw and real that when he had me laughing? That man had me laughing. But when he was at his lowest? I felt that in my heart.
So let me say now that if you have any triggers, then check out the trigger warning for this book on Laurelin's website, because sure, Donovan and Sabrina's relationship isn't conventional, and it hasn't been from the moment they met. But Kincaid is far more intense than the Dirty Duet ever could be. It's intense because we're seeing Donovan and Sabrina needing to face unexpected obstacles that money nor obsessiveness can fix; it's intense because the struggles Sabrina and Donovan go through here are real, and something many people can relate to. And it's intense because the struggles they go through are ones that, had they not fought for their relationship, could've been the end of it.
She just stands there, and I hate myself because I think I should know what I'm supposed to do, and I just don't.
My heart broke for Donovan. And it broke for Sabrina, too. I knew there'd be angst in this story, and after a time it came as no surprise when I started crying, but I didn't know this book would hit me in the feels as hard as it did when I first started reading it. But what's lucky is that Kincaid was perfectly balanced out with some much-needed humour, and it's humour that had me LAUGHING OUT LOUD!
I always knew there was a funny side to Donovan, but we never really got to see it until we saw it in the Dirty Wild Trilogy. But in Kincaid... oh my God, the number of highlights I have on my eBook that's all just funny moments of Donovan being jealous, obsessive, and petty is just too many to count. And it was so refreshing to get that from Donovan when Kincaid touched on some serious heavy topics. He probably doesn't even realise how funny he is when it comes to his obsession with Sabrina, and just how far he'd go to know where she is at all costs, and he probably doesn't even care how he looks when doing it, and honestly, that's what makes it all the funnier.
But on top of the seriousness and the humour to this story, Kincaid is insightful too into who Donovan is thanks to the past chapters that were dotted throughout this book - past chapters that are all new scenes that show pivotal moments in Donovan's life that've shaped him into becoming the man he is today. Pivotal moments to do with Donovan pre-Sabrina, post-Sabrina, pre-Reach, meeting Cade and Nate for the first time, heartfelt moments with Dylan, and the build-up of Reach.
Getting to see his past was honestly so interesting that if Laurelin wrote a diary for Donovan for every day of his life, I'd read it in a heartbeat, because he is such an interesting man. He's an enigma; a puzzle I want to finish to appreciate the full picture, and I feel like his full past would be a life-changing book to read. Something that'd make me love him - the good, the bad, and the ugly - all the more. Because what we got of the good, the bad, and the ugly of his past here? It was eye-opening, and really showed who he was as a young adult, and how he got to be the man he is today.
What dominates me is her - her wants, her needs, her love. She lets me master her because she trusts that I'll put her first. And I do. Every time.
Kincaid was just amazing, as I knew it would be. I had no idea how it'd play out or what would go down in it, but it all completely exceeded my expectations and has my love for Laurelin growing tenfold. My love for her will always grow book after book, because she delivers her all and it shows. And I just love that to end the Dirty Universe, she took us back to the characters who started it all.
We truly came full circle with Kincaid, in so many unexpected ways. It's just mad to think that when Sabrina and Donovan first met in Dirty Filthy Rich Boys, they met in the dark and with danger around the corner. And now in Kincaid, they finished in the light and with family surrounding them, and it was just stunning to see. Who'd have thought that this whole Dirty Universe came to be because Donovan Kincaid fell obsessively in love.
What I will say now is, if you've read the Dirty Duet, then you will LOVE this final chapter to Donovan and Sabrina's story. It's a must read that's completely unforgettable and is a timeless read that I know I'll revisit again and again in the future. It was absolutely amazing, and flawless, and stunning, and I just cannot recommend it highly enough.
...she saved me. Even when I'd thought I was the one saving her.
Donovan Kincaid met Sabrina Lind twelve years ago at Harvard when she was a student and he was her TA. She accepted his brand of love which was the kind that was obsessive. He was a complex, unique man that would never be a “normal” husband. He would forever be crossing lines and dominating situations. He was still just as intense and possessive, and thrived on being in control. He lived in New York with Sabrina, and they worked in advertising together at Reach Inc. They’d been married almost two years, and he was madly in love with his wife. She consumed him and gave his life a purpose. After all this time he still found her fascinating and was completely addicted to her. She was his everything and he needed her like air to breathe. She remained his top priority and he would do anything to protect their relationship, but will a secret threaten their future?
Kincaid (Dirty Duet, #3) by Laurelin Paige gives us more of one of my all time favorite book boyfriends, Donovan Kincaid. We get the past and the present told from Donovan’s POV. I loved getting more of this complicated, delicious man! He’s truly an original, and the way he loves is all consuming. In Kincaid he does a lot of soul searching and we get more of his vulnerable side. It’s an emotional story about trust, secrets, passion and family. We also get a lot of other appearances from characters we love from the Dirty Universe. <333
Ugh I loved the other two books in this series I feel like the relationship dynamic between them was off in this one idk. It didn’t work for me. The only part I really enjoyed was like the last 80%.
This captivating story from Donovan's pov was all I hoped for and so much more! I was completely consumed with Donovan's thoughts and I found myself falling in love with him all over again! Kincaid is not a retelling of the first two books but a radiant light into who he really is, what motivates him and pushes him to cross boundaries, and how he develops the close relationships with the people around him that I also love so much! Donovan is at a crossroads with something he has been sitting on for a couple of years. He is not sure what to do about it and is reluctant to share it with Sabrina. He wants more with her, but she has been distant, and this dangerous secret could destroy not only how she sees him, but their life together as well. This moving story was so compelling as we learn more about the sexy, dark and tortured, Donovan, his all consuming love for Sabrina, the high stakes business world he rules in, and why he needs control in all things. I loved seeing him in all his alphahole, deliciously dominate glory, but seeing his tender, thoughtful and loving side and understanding his fears, vulnerabilities, hopes and dreams, was completely mesmerizing. The way Donovan and Sabrina's passionate and unconventional relationship grew, and how they fought for each other, was so breathtaking and beautiful. I really enjoyed how Paige exquisitely weaved this story between the past and present, helping me discover more about Donovan's history, and the people he loved, lost, and surrounded himself with, making me laugh, cry and swoon! She also tackled a difficult subject with honesty and empathy making this story even more touching. There is so much to love about this story, but the scene with Donovan and Dylan in London, when they both discover a new side to each other, was so fun, sweet and swoony, and the epilogue was absolutely perfect, and so Donovan, making me completely happy! This emotional, intoxicating and seductive story is a perfect conclusion to the Dirty Duet and Universe, and even though I don't want it to end, I absolutely loved every word of it!
This was an awesome read...Donovan POV was great, never knowing how deeply he felt for Sabrina and all his stalkerish ways. The way he took care of her even when Sabrina had no clue. You always thought that Donovan was a true alpha asshole, but it always made you attract to him and I guess in the same so was Sabrina.
Who couldn't love an alpha hole who says line like this one..."love you so much Sabrina, that it hurts to breathe because each breath I take means one less in a lifetime with you.” He saved her when they met, and now he needs her to save him. Donovan puts them through the ringer with is possessive, stalking tendency when his secrets threaten to hurt their relationship. Donovan finds himself fwith a decision to fight, come clean or lie to Sabrina...when the past finds him and he must make a decision to keep his future secure.
We get to see Donovan in a new perspective because it is told from his POV so you get to see many sides of him...Protective. Possessive. Powerless, and we know Donovan Kincaid don't do weak he is always one step ahead but he has to leave it all on the table because for the first time he don't know what to do and it was all so real to see Donovan Kincaid stumped by the woman he claimed in college.Donovan Kincaid had me from the beginning and his POV had me to the end...
I’ve had this story read and listened to since this past Monday night, but I needed to process some details before I wrote my review and, here we are now, processed :)
My love for Sabrina & Donovan’s journey is equal to (but maybe a tiny bit more) Christian & Ana’s from FSOG and if you know nothing else about me, know that I have read FSOG 6 times all the way thru (their second book actually 8 times) in English and in Spanish just one time. I’ve read Christian’s POV all the way thru just the one time and listened to their journey (including Christian’s POV audios) twice in the last decade. So, when I tell you that I love Sabrina & Donovan as much, if not a bit more, I’m not playing around. Okay, back to why we’re here, Kincaid!
I think maybe the best way for me to give you my thoughts might be bullet points so here goes, the good, the not so good and possibly the bestest ever! OH, before all that I should tell you that I wasn’t expecting the format Laurelin chose to write this story and it threw me a bit at the beginning and I had to do a thing (lol) that thing being I jumped back and listened to their duet, the second half of Weston’s duet and the first 3/4s of Dylan’s duet before I came back to Kincaid satisfied I had all background details in my head I might need (because I’m #extra like that *lifts eyebrow* don’t judge). I should probably explain the not expecting part, eh? Okay, I rarely read blurbs, especially blurbs from books that I’m going to read no matter what that blurb says, so the whole past and present weaving together part escaped me, and I expected this book to be their duet from his point of view and it wasn’t that, so I was thrown. That’s the gist. No biggie. My bad. Let’s move on.
✔️ Sabrina & Donovan have already found their happy before Kincaid so I wasn’t a fan of how much of this leg of their journey they were in conflict or that secrets were still a thing between them. I know, I know, they’re literally the definition of conflict in Webster’s, but I just … *sigh* I dunno, it just hit me wrong.
✔️ Well played on their family circumstance, Laurelin. You both gutted me and awed me with the plot point and its twist I did not see coming so I was a blubbering fool for a while!
✔️ Once I let go of what I wanted their dynamics to be and accepted what it was, I began to appreciate them both and their relationship much more in this leg of their journey. There were moments in this book that my love for them was bigger than my heart could carry and it was fantastic!
✔️ Loved the incorporation of the Sebastians in the story because I’ve missed them, and I can’t wait to get all of their stories!
✔️ As much as I didn’t like them being in conflict still today, I loved Donovan’s growth in the book while still maintaining who he is at his core and I appreciated Sabrina’s push against Donovan’s tendencies but yet also maintaining that kernel of need for who he is at his core.
✔️ I really enjoyed being inside Donovan’s head! *heart eyes*
✔️ Chapter 22 was an epic #laughfest that I might just go back and listen to over and over again for giggles!
Thank you, Laurelin, for not just bringing to life this couple, but also this universe. These men and women will forever be one of my favorite circle of friends and I couldn’t have asked for a more poignant, passionate, intense, and humorous at times extra leg of Sabrina & Donovan’s *happy journey*!! Well done!
WHAT A MAN IS WILLING TO DO FOR THE WOMAN HE LOVES
“… love you so much Sabrina, that it hurts to breathe because each breath I take means one less in a lifetime with you.”
Have you ever loved so hard that it hurts to breathe, or that the fear of losing that love is incomprehensible? Love inevitably changes us for better or worse, especially in marriage and this is the next step for Donovan and Sabrina as both harbor dangerous secrets from each other. Donovan and Sabrina are about to become an even more perfect super couple, but not until after a shakeup puts their marriage back on track in total synchronicity. After all they went through in their courtship to be together to this point. He saved her when they met, and now he needs her to save him. Donovan’s journey from his POV will take alot of love, a little angst, a bit of nailbiting uncertainty, some serious soul-searching, and intense willpower before it all gets sorted out. Even Donovan Kincaid can concede defeat in his desire to become a better man for Sabrina.
What in the world could shake up the marriage of one of my most passionate couples in the Dirty series? Next to Hudson, Donovan definitely comes in a close second. His overprotectiveness, kinky passion, need for control, and stalking tendencies are legendary, but something is seriously up with Sabrina, Donovan is clueless what it is and how to fix it, and his behavior might just need an overhaul on how their marriage needs to work to get things back on track because he has secrets of his own. Friends, marriages, babies, work woes, family issues and the changes those things bring are all here.
The couple’s original love story captured my heart, but the man Donovan is now and the changes he undergoes to be the man that Sabrina deserves is the kind of love that every woman yearns for, even someone as understanding and patient as Sabrina. Underneath all Donovan’s power and virility is just a man in love with a woman. Though their love is strong, a surprise change enters the marriage. Sabrina withdraws from Donovan leaving him perplexed and grasping for answers. How it sorts out sometimes angered me about his stubborn cluelessness and tendency to cure problems with sex alone. But his personal growth as he views marriage through the lens of his buddies’ marriages, his relationship with his criminal father, and his handling of secrets and trust warmed my heart as Donovan 2.0 emerges and made me love him even harder the second time around. Come for the couple, stay for the 2nd chance transformation. The perfect couple recommits to once in a lifetime love with such clarity and purpose that it brought a tear to my eye, and a bunch of grown alphas taking care of babies with daddy tenderness reduced me to a puddle of goo. Great cameos of the other couples and a teaser hit of enigmatic Holt Sebastian included.
“She’s taught me how to really live, how to be in the world and of the world, and not just directing it. And I’m still changing. Still being changed by her.”
It sounds so final! And there are so many questions!
Is Donovan still the dirty filthy man we’ve always loved? Does he stick his fingers in….(no get your mind out of the gutter) every body else’s issues? Is he still loveable?
Well, Yes, Yes and Yes!
Donovan Kincaid is still the dirty filthy man we want him to always be, but he is also a man who realizes that sometimes he might not have the right answer, or he needs someone to use as a sounding board and then there is this new “thing” he would like take on. Is Donovan ready and oh my gosh is Sabrina ready for this?
To add to everything that is already taking up space, Donovan is going to have to deal with his father and a new potential nemesis.
Paige is showing us Donovan’s past and present; how he has grown as a partner and a husband. (frankly I think he will always keep his PI on a retainer)
Donovan Kincaid, was my very first book boyfriend ever and he will always remain my very first book boyfriend. Now though, he has earned my respect and if you know Donovan, then you know he is going to have to change some things and he truly is trying for himself and Sabrina.
How much better could he be you say, he knew the moment he laid eyes on her she was his savior and there is no doubt his dirty filthy love has cemented their love of each other. Weston (I know) is a father, Cade is a father, Dylan is a father, Nate….well Nate continues to be a very kinky hottie; but is Donovan ready to be a father? Is Sabrina ready to be a mother…decisions decisions!
This is one decision you don’t have to make, grab Kincaid and read how everyone has faired over the past few years, even Simone (okay I’m still sitting on the fence in regards to her) and find out what Donovan whispered in Author Laurelin Paige’s ears not that long ago…. I’m pretty sure you will walk away with a smile on your face and a glint in your eye, because Donovan Kincaid will still be the dirty filthy man we all love, just maybe in a new role!
It's good to have Donovan back! This book is written from his POV, and it's fantastic! You'll get to see him like you've never saw him before. Him and Sabrina have been married now for about 2 years. After he finds out she's keeping secrets from him, the beast comes out. He doesn't know what to do, or how to act when he's lost some control of their relationship. Of course his obsessiveness hasn't been toned down at all over the years and he ramps that up even more now. Trying to get to the bottom of it. Though at what costs? How far can he push it before she starts pushing back? This is the third book in this series and I would highly recommend reading them in order. Their story essentially ends with book two (not counting their roles in the spin-off series set in this world.) This is more of a bonus. (And if you read those other two books, trust me, you'll be wanting to read this one too.) There are laughs, angst, and even some tears (which kinda surprised me.) There are even some cute moments. Yes, a book about Kincaid had cute moments. Seriously... you gotta read this one. If you try to read this without knowing the characters, you will enjoy the story, but you won't appreciate it quite as much... so please please please... read Dirty Filthy Rich Men & Dirty Filthy Rich Love first! You won't be disappointed. There is sexual content and a couple of possible triggers (which I don't want to say due to it being a spoiler. Sorry.) Suitable for mature readers.
Don’t you just love it when a bad boy character is driven to his knees when he falls utterly in love with his woman? Donovan Kincaid was always one of those characters that I didn’t want to like but I couldn’t help myself.
Donovan is a scary, scary man, a control freak, but he loves Sabrina so much. She’s keeping secrets from him though and he is not pleased. She plays him at his own game but then, could it be that their marriage is failing?
Hell to the no, they are perfect for each other. I’m not having that. Her kink fits his kink and together they are the king and queen of kink. Their kink is not my kink but could I possibly use the word kink any more?
I’m still team Weston but I did love this little walk on the Kincaid kinky side.
My heart hurts because this wraps up such a phenomenal couple. I never knew what I was missing until I met Donovan Kincaid about 3 months ago. He turned me outttt! He and Sabrina enjoyed things that oddly enough I got. The inner workings of his brain I find astonishing. His need to control and stalk are utterly fascinating. The audio on this was chefs kiss. Jacob Morgan always delivers brilliance. My heart is so happy and crazy full that I’m at a total loss. All the feels my friends.
“I love you so much, Sabrina, that it hurts to breathe because each breath I take means one less in a lifetime with you.”
Kincaid is everything I never knew I needed. I didn’t know it was possible to love Donovan more than I already did. But, boy Laurelin Paige proved me all the way wrong. Kincaid finds Donovan and Sabrina a couple of years into their marriage following Dirty Filthy Rich Love. They find themselves thrown into unexpected situations that tests them both as individuals and a couple. It was a flawless blend of past and present that brought me Donovan at his downright dirtiest and swooniest. Everything I loved about him and Sabrina increased tenfold. I was unapologetically caught in Donovan’s clutches right along with Sabrina with no desire of letting go anytime soon. At the same time Sabrina was the woman to bring this deliciously broody man to his knees and I loved that. Laurelin delivered a story that was twisted as it was seductive. Alluring and addictive…I finished in one sitting because I was completely captivated and putting the book down just wasn’t an option. Then there was the narration…Jacob Morgan was utter perfection! That warm inviting timbre had me hanging onto to every word. This was an all male POV but I didn’t feel like I was missing out on a thing. It was aural excellence.
Jacob Morgan's narration was phenomenal as he brought the multifaceted Donovan to life. I truly felt the all consuming love Donovan had for Sabrina, the desperate need to be a better man, along with the myriad of other emotions they both experienced. I also like the way he made each character recognizable with every nuance of inflection, cadence, and accent. There was one scene that he especially brought me to tears, which rarely happens, making this one of my top favorite narrations. This emotional, intoxicating and seductive story is a perfect conclusion to the Dirty Duet and Universe, and even though I don't want it to end, I absolutely loved every moment of it!
Oh my word… Laurelin penned such an amazing book that I couldn’t put it down! I loved how Donovan emits such a powerful presence, yet when love is involved he can be brought to his knees. I especially still love that the dynamics of Sabrina and Donovan’s relationship are still ever present and despite time, still work for them.
I read the ebook, listened to Jacob Morgan’s amazing narrating skills in the audiobook, and I’m now awaiting the arrival of my paperback and alternate discreet cover hardback—I definitely need to experience Donovan again and again.
Kincaid by Laurelin Paige is an EPIC read and audiobook that will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
Donovan Kincaid is a powerful man who commands any room he enters and is not afraid to lie and cheat to get what he wants. His world revolves around loving Sabrina, making the next big deal and keeping his secrets tucked away where they will hopefully remain forever. His relationship with Sabrina began many years ago but to Donovan, it seems like it was just yesterday that she walked into his classroom at Harvard. He set his sights on her from the moment he saw her and for Donovan, there was no turning back. Sabrina was young, naive and impressionable and she quietly ignored her handsome and sexy TA, Donovan Kincaid. Their brief entanglement may have driven Sabrina away but from that day forward, Donovan always knew where she was and more importantly, who she was with.
Laurelin Paige delved into Donovan’s life as he left Harvard behind, experienced a heartbreaking loss and became the ruthless businessman that we all know and love. She highlighted his past so we could understand how everything he had done to this point was calculated, personal and beneficial only to himself. Donovan’s love for Sabrina was powerful and everlasting, and you would have thought that this type of all consuming love would be a turn off for Sabrina but she desperately needed his dominance and revelled in their sensual encounters. She understands his mind, his heart and his soul, and couldn’t imagine a life without him.
I have always loved Donovan, but after seeing him bare his soul to Sabrina and confess his undying love for all of her, I am more enamored with him than ever. His passionate confessions and heartfelt declarations, along with his desire to change for her, was all she needed for her heart to be at peace.
Donovan freaking Kincaid is back!! I’m thrilled that Laurelin Paige wrote this book as she gives an in depth and engaging perspective of Donovan’s past and his current marriage with Sabrina. This couple isn’t perfect in any way, shape, or form. While their fights and issues are intense at times, what remains the same is their passion, devotion and love for each other. And their fire in the bedroom is just as steamy and erotic as ever.
Kincaid’s storyline is so raw and real and has just the right amount of intrigue. Ms. Paige also introduces a new character for a new series and I can’t wait to read his book.
I love getting inside the MMCs head. Especially one like Donovan. He’s so complex you can’t help but think, What’s his thought process? The obsessive, possessive, controlling Donovan Kindcaid did not disappoint! I did not expect to be so emotional. Despite Donovan being who he is, he is just a man who loves a woman and wants EVERYTHING with her. He wants it all. Hearing how much he wanted a baby and seeing the dynamics of Donovan and Sabrina’s relationship shift because of that, was so raw and real!
A full Donovan POV, this book is a long awaited for finally we can see inside his head. And it's complicated with his need to be the dominant even is his personal life with Sabrina, his fear and loose footing when they both loosing. I love how this book give us story after the HEA in their love story. Brings reality to fiction from marriage life. Love to see him in turmoil and uncertainty as a husband, a partner but then find his footing in their true relationship as growing couple.
OMG! Donovan Kincaid! Enough said, really. There is no book boyfriend like him. He takes sexy, dominant, alpha, & possessive to a whole new level, and I am here for it! I was so excited to hear that Donovan and Sabrina were getting another book, and Laurelin Paige does not disappoint. This is told solely from Donovan's POV, and I loved getting a glimpse inside his mind. I liked discovering his feelings and thoughts about things that happened in the past and present. Getting the story from his POV makes him more real and relatable.
It wouldn't be a Donovan Kincaid book if there wasn't some kind of suspense to keep us on the edge of our seats. Donovan Kincaid's past and present are about to collide and it has the potential to devastate his and Sabrina's future. He saved Sabrina in the past but now the tables have turned, and she is the only one he can turn to, but Sabrina has a secret of her own that could devastate them. Will they manage to find a way through these challenges together to once again, find their HEA?
This book was unputdownable from beginning to end. It has a gripping storyline and a plot that is brilliantly written. It goes on an emotional journey of love, loss, heartbreak, forgiveness, and healing all leading to a very happily ever after. There is also family drama, misunderstandings, and last but not least, sizzling dirty, hot passion. I adore these addicting characters. I can't get enough of them. Especially Donovan Kincaid! There's just something about him that is hot AF! If you've read about Donovan and Sabrina before, this is a must-read! Even if you haven't, I highly recommend you read it. It is a standalone but you get a better experience if you read the Dirty Duet prior to reading this book. It is an addicting duet that you don't want to miss out on if you love romance, suspense, action, and a billionaire alpha book boyfriend.
I absolutely loved Donovan Kincaid in the Dirty Duet. He was domineering, over the top protective and possessive, and so very delectable. We thought his and Sabrina’s story was done and then Laurelin Paige gave us Kincaid and it was everything I did not know I needed. We get to see his point of view and how much Sabrina meant to him. We get to see what drives him and the people he cares about. But what I loved the most is seeing them together as they navigate their lives, desires, and needs. Donavan must always be in control and Sabrina loves him, but he wants it all. Can he have it?
I loved diving into Donovan’s mind and seeing things from his perspective. Sabrina’s love for him was undeniable, but when he feels something is off, he is determined to figure it out, even as he has his own secrets. I loved seeing Donovan reflect on his choices, his love for the woman that is everything to him and still be the controlling, obsessive alpha we love. And seeing both of them married and working towards what they wanted together captivated me so much. I had so much fun delving into this world again with characters I love.
"She gave me meaning when I'd had none. She gave my life purpose. I live for her, and I'll save her again today because there's no point to my life without her."
Well, what can I say about these two? If ever two people, fictional or otherwise, were meant for each other, it is Donovan and Sabrina.
Donovan would like you to believe that he is this strong, indestructible force of nature, but when it comes to Sabrina, all those walls come crumbling down. And when he doesn't get his way or finds him self to not be the one in control? Well, have you ever seen a toddler have a temper tantrum in the cereal aisle of the grocery store? No sir, Donovan does not like to feel out of control.
Sabrina is her own force, and while she loves Donovan's possessiveness and dominance, she knows she has the control when all is said and done. She chooses to give it to him, and they complement each other so well, knowing what each of them needs without either having to say a word.
I have loved this couple since the beginning and I love them still. I am not going to mention the plot, or the trials that these two go though, but things are changing and they will never be the same again.
I loved this story!!
If you haven't read the Dirty series, you definitely need to do it as soon as possible. You'll fall in love with D too!!
This book was just as I expected, Donovan and Sabrina have always been my favorites so I was dying to read more of them, especially read Donovan’s POV of their past and future. As always the story captivated me from the start and I loved reading their interactions and how things were going for them as a married couple.
Donovan was still protective and possessive towards Sabrina but I enjoyed reading what he was thinking at times and how despite everything he still knew what Sabrina wanted and needed. They had some ups and downs but I felt like that added more realness to their marriage and how couples always struggle with some personal decisions.
They still had steamy and filthy scenes and despite everything it was nice reading how Sabrina loved Donovan despite his different ways of showing affection, his love for her was the most important thing and even when they fought their connection was always there.
Donovan had a lot of demons from his past so I loved reading his moments with Sabrina and how he acted with her, she knew his ways of loving her weren’t normal to some people but she always reassured him she wanted him that way and that their marriage was still as strong as before.
I also loved reading about the previous couples and how they all had their families, they all were really close and they always had each other’s backs. Donovan really wanted a family like his friends so I was really excited to see him as a father. They had some problems to get there but at the end he and Sabrina talked about everything and figured things out. Those two went through a lot of things all those years but the best was reading their ending and how they had the family they always wanted.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Since falling into the world of the dirty rich men, Donovan Kincaid has made it hard to move too far from it. His love for Sabrina has held him high on my best book bf list. I love the dynamic between him and Sabrina.
Laurelin Paige has captured my heart with their one of a kind love story. I loved the weaving of past and present culminating in an ending that left me longing for more. Love this whole series. I highly recommend!
What a fantastic conclusion to Donovan and Sabrina’s journey. I love they way they love each other, and you feel it so deeply in this story. I loved seeing Donovan work through things and become the man he wants to be. This story was beautiful and had so many touching moments. Donovan and Sabrina have a dynamic like no other and I love watching them grow and love each other.
Donovan never disappoints. Thus book has its moments of me wanting to throw my kindle but also the love, the love! Not only for Sabrina but for the family he has created. Phenomenal
