No reviews for this. I haven't read any Halloween novelizations, but thanks to a suggestion from Kindle Unlimited, I checked out this goofy little horror sequel. This fanfic novella feels like a half-remembered Syfy channel special that turns into a slasher movie on a party yacht. The story follows the two little kids Laurie Strode saved in the first movie, now approaching fifty as they plan to reconnect and party in New Orleans. Unbeknownst to them Micheal Myers, having survived the events of Halloween 2 (and nothing else), awakes from a decades-long stupor and decides to finish them. It only took about an hour to read and does a good job of feeling like a cheesy Halloween sequel. You know, it's nice that a fifty-year-old woman can still party a little bit.
This novella focuses on Lindsey and Tommy from the original Halloween. It wasn’t a bad plot, but the AI narrator has to go. It just couldn’t get across the fear of the characters and the frightening aspect of the story. Having said that, it felt like it took some of it’s story from the movie Jason Takes Manhattan of the Friday the 13th series….boogie man in a big city, people on a yacht who start disappearing, etc.

Wow, what a novella. Another unheard or unseen episode with Michael Myers. And what an episode it was. Michael is trying to kill Lindsay after having murdered Laurie. Will he succeed? Showdown takes place on a yacht. Will the police come in time? The author did a great job here coming up with a very plausible part of the Michael Myers lore. A true and very convincing slasher. Really recommended!
