If you love the holidays and you really love Christmas, then you will want to grab this book! This story is about a young lady named Mary that seems to find chaos and be the chaos in this story. I, myself, found parts funny while reading it, by just picturing the characters and the scenes!! Since the death of her father, Mary needs to find a job to help her mom and herself live, without the help of family. She seems to have trouble holding a job whenever she gets one, lol. This is when her true chaos starts for her and when the story gets very exciting, and I got to giggling picturing the characters😂. This story will keep you turning the pages and truly enjoying the book! I highly recommend this to anyone who loves Christmas for one, friendships tested, faith, love, God, relationships, clean romance, and good Christian books. A must read! *I received an ARC from the author and these are my own opinions and words*
An Amish Christmas Caper by Samantha Price is Samantha’s 5th Christmas book and just the cutest, enjoyable read for the Christmas seasons. Each of her Christmas books just get better and better.
Mary is in a desperate situation to aid her widowed mother by bringing in a paycheck. She really needs to keep a job, but had been fired from 3 jobs in 3 weeks. In this state of desperation, she agrees to take the job of dressing like Mrs. Claus and working in the gift wrapping department of a large department store. Oh no, what has she gotten herself into. An good Amish girl couldn’t be seen in a Mrs. Claus costume.
Keeping focused on her desire to marry Nathan, she never takes the time to consider her longtime friend and neighbor, Abraham although her mom has other ideas.
This is a great book that develops wonderful characters and a great storyline. This is a book of funny chaos that will have you laughing out loud.
I was privileged to read an advance copy of this book and was not ask for a positive review.

An Amish Christmas Caper is the perfect holiday read. I could not put it down! Mary finds herself in a bit of an unusual situation for an Amish girl. To keep her job she desperately needs to support both her and her widowed mother, she must dress as Mrs. Claus. She hopes no one from her community finds out especially Nathan, the only man she’s ever had eyes for. Only he’s not the man her widowed mom Elizabeth has picked out for her.
With and order from her daughter to have fun Elizabeth agrees to a plan that will not only be fun but will bring about a change of heart she didn’t know she needed.
Overall, I enjoyed this romantic Christmas story and highly recommend it!!! You won’t be able to put it down
Mary’s widowed mother depends on Mary’s paycheck to put food on the table. But Mary isn’t very good at her department store job, especially when it comes to making change for cash payments. Unable to tell her Mamm that she has been fired, she returns to beg for a job from her manager. He finally relents, and gives her a job wrapping gifts, dressed as Mrs. Claus. It’s quite a stretch for an Amish girl! She tries to keep it a secret since she fears no one in the Amish community would approve of such work. But she isn’t the only one keeping a secret. So is her Mamm! It’s a sweet tale of romance, and since it’s the season of Christmas, you just know everything is going to work out perfectly.
Would you ever imagine seeing an Amish woman working at a store's as Mrs. Claus? Well, that is where Mary landed up after not doing to well in other departments. She needed a job and this was her only option. She didn't want anyone to know her secret. But secrets do get out.
Her mother had the neighbor, Abraham picked out for Mary's husband. How can Mom be so wrong? Mary had her eye on someone else. Mary discovers that her Mother knew best.
A cute Christmas story that is bound to make you smile.
This author never fails to draw me into the lives of her characters, experiencing the disappointments and challenges but also the victories and joy. So many choices and decisions, dreams waiting in the offing - I lived it right along with Mary, Elizabeth and Isobel, hoping against hope for the fulfillment of visions of the future. I was given a copy of this book by the author and am leaving my honest review.
I really enjoyed this book, it was a quick and fun read. Even though I found myself a bit frustrated with Mary a few times... I kept saying "girl open your eyes and your heart". I loved thatnot only the 'young' people find hapiness in Samanthas' books. I am looking forward with anticipation to the books to come in 2023.
This book hit all the right emotions and was filled with Christmas cheer. I couldn’t put it down and read it much quicker than I anticipated. The characters are just perfectly written. I love how there are 2 different plots going on at the same time, but do not feel separate. I highly recommend this book to anyone who needs a light hearted, feel good Christmas read!
The book centered on two past friends, who are trying to learn to look for the greater good. The book was awesome! However, I felt the ending was slightly rushed. With that said, I recommend you read the series. You will be left with a smile and a reminder that our journey on this earth is to serve and focus on Him.
I loved this Christmas story! Mary takes a job that she ends up fired from. She begs for her job back, as she supports her mom, and gets one where she has to wear a Mrs. Claus outfit. She has a few run ins with her boss, which are funny. She ends up with a happy ending!
Enjoyed this lovely fun book! Samantha Price does it again. I really enjoy reading her all her books! I particularly enjoy her Amish stories and her mystery with Style Smith!
In a world that feels like it’s been turned upside down, it’s nice to read a book about the more simple things in life. It doesn’t matter what your culture is communication is the most is one of the most important things.
