Two of Christie's Poirot shorts.

Triangle at Rhodes
A love triangle turns deadly in a way I didn't see coming!
Poirot and the other guests notice that the resident hotel hottie appears to be quickly stealing a mousy woman's handsome husband, while simultaneously angering her own.

description

The Incredible Theft
The theft of secret bomber plans at a house party means everything needs to be kept hush-hush.
One of Lord Mayfield's guests is widely suspected to be a spy. Unfortunately, it looks like they have quite a tidy alibi for the time the papers went missing.

description

Both of these are decent, but I think you'd get more bang for your buck if you opt for a larger collection.

Here we have two completely different types of novels, The Incredible Theft, as the title implies revolves around the mysterious theft of some important aircraft designs. The Triangle at Rhodes sees Poitrot on holiday with drama and mayhem following him wherever he goes.

I enjoyed both books. The theft was good although a little unsatisfying and the Rhodes one although a nice twist was written obviously enough that you felt like it had been deliberately swindled.

I guess the short stories don't carry the same heft as the bigger ones.
