What a rollercoaster
Epic volume here for the couple and writers Del & Sabrina. This one was quite intense, very good plot and some intense moment as they chase leads after leads following a deranged man. Probably one of the better "Lies" mystery thriller series :-) Almost hoping there'll be a 7th volume some day to know more about Sabrina and Del's future (as well as Captain America!! :P)

"Lies" Mystery
I enjoyed the entire series of books. This one was good, but not my favorite. This book was more about the mystery than the main characters. It was a good mystery. Greed is an all consuming evil.
I hope there are more "lies" coming.

The plot was complicated, the ending logical and satisfying. I liked the main characters who were also the narrators, Del and Sabrina, and the supporting cast of allies and bad guys/gals. The writing was simple and clean. It was, all in all, a nice escape without requiring a lot of empathy or brain taxing to follow along and make some reasonable guesses about what was going to happen next. I enjoyed this book.

Del and Sabrina have moved into their new house and are looking forward to the isolation away from people. Until 9 bodies are found when the foundations are being dug for their new guest house. Thus starts another mystery, dating back to 1982. Can they solve it before one of them is seriously hurt again?
I’m really enjoying the adventures of Del and Sabrina! I’ll be sad when I have to leave them behind.

Del Honeycutt and his partner Sabrina Spencer, a mystery writer had recently acquired seventeen acres of land in New Hampshire when one of the builders discovered skeletal remains on the property.
The police are called in to investigate. Upon closer inspection, they discover the site was a mass grave.
The property once belonged to a school called the Crater Lake School for Boys. The school went out of business in 1985, and all the buildings were torn down in the following years.
The school was for juvenile delinquents but was finally closed down when parents complained that their children had been abused.
Who are the boys they buried? How did they end up at the school?
Soon after the bones are discovered Del and Sabrina are approached by a woman named Rebecca Lane who said her brother Randy, disappeared in 1982, and it wasn’t until the last year that her father on his deathbed confessed to sending her brother to the Crater Lake School for Boys.
Now Rebecca wants them to help find out what happened to her brother and whether he’s still alive. As the couple digs deeper, they suspect that not everything is as it seems. They even start to question Rebecca’s motives.

Sixth of the Lies series, this one is a bit of a heartbreaker, but too compelling to put aside, as are all of the others in this series. And as with the others featuring Del, Sebrina, and Mo, this is one I am pleased to recommend highly to friends and family. Taking place all in the NorthEastern US, we enjoy the flora and fauna as well as the relationships between our protagonists and their trip through troubles not of their own making. The police that we have visited in previous books are all there for our trio of do-gooders, along with a passel of new cops and we have a bit more background on our Boston and Florida connections. A necessary read to keep up with the crew. Also currently available on Kindle Unlimited in both the single and a three-fer borrowing package of #s 4, 5, and 6.

BURIED LIES is an intensely riveting multifaceted mystery which is Old Testament in its themes: father-son conflict, love triangles, and especially its emphasis on long-term unfolding vengeance. The proverb "Revenge is a dish best eaten cold" is delivered a resounding "Amen!" by multiple characters in this book, exemplifying more than one example of Character Devolution, and resulting in a hill of "what if's" as the protagonists reflect on how lives might have been changed, if only greed and cupidity, lust and elitism, hadn't ruled so many individuals.

Buried Lies (Lies #6) is Andrew Cunningham at his best! I have read the previous five and so enjoyed the growth of our two protagonists, Del and Sabrina. We watched their teamwork, an integral aspect of the discovery of their solution, came about. Murder or many murders take the reader through a journey; history of how we got to the present tense setting. We have murders, robbery, larceny, murders, abuse of youth, generational lawbreaking, humor, arson, and did I mention cold blooded murder.
I highly recommend this outstanding book!

While this is a stand-alone contemporary story, the first book in the series should be read to understand the main characters better.
Once again (creeping close to middle age average, guy and reluctant hero) Del and (former prisoner turned author) Sabrina are thrown into a life and death mystery. This time the mystery is closer to home; their new backyard to be precise, and the grounds of an abandoned boys reform school.

This was a strange story of revenge, greed and multiple murders/murderers. I felt sorry for Randy but not enough to really justify his revenge tactics. It must be horrible to have your parent give you away to a stranger in the middle of the night. The trauma being the only survivor of 8 boys with all the damage caused to him, was great. Interesting how everyone's greed mixed in with murder and revenge. Randy's crimes were the only ones based on revenge. In the end, the full and true story gets revealed.

When they didn't find the stone after many nights of searching for it, they were shot. Years after, there was a serial killer in the area. The story had many twists and turns involving a huge cover-up and lots of secrets uncovered. A very good mystery.

What a disappointment!
Loved the previous books...great characters, interesting plots and gentle humour. This book had none of those...mostly from the perspective of the villains, poorly written, little warmth or development of the main characters. Could have been written by a different person ....thinks that's it for me and this serie.

It's an easy quick read but the coincidences are ridiculously unbelievable. And characters are caricatures or some comic book cut outs.

Cunningham puts together an exceptional story. Del and Sabrina finally found their little bit of paradise, but a gruesome discovery mars its beauty. The mystery becomes a tangled web of hate and greed. Good writing, good editing. It doesn’t get any better.

A book with an end
I like the style of writing of Mr. Cunningham. Lots of action and parts that help you understand why things are the way they are. Good ending without leaving hanging but wanting to read more of Mr. Cunningham's work.

thrilling mystery again.
The plot twists and turns kept the pace fast and full of intrigue. Mr Cunningham’s Lies series is definitely well worth reading. Character development coupled with fascinating plots will keep you reading until late in the night. Highly recommend.

Another Great Story
This one is a little different than previous books in the series. I really liked the going back to the time of the event and then to current day. Puts a whole new spin on the book.

Brutal. Not as good as book 5
Books are getting more brutal. But it's not a satisfying brutality. More just to tie up loose ends. The book set in Florida was the best in the series so far.

Good book.
I enjoyed this book in the series. It was a little hard to follow at time because so much was going on. There were several people's lives involved. Very guys story though.

Great thriller
This story had so many twist and turns. It showed how greed can affect so many lives. It was a shame what happened to the main character and how it shaped his life. Great read!

This story had a premise and characters that are not believable at all.
Many holes in the story and unanswered questions about the plot.
Incompetent people throughout.
The hero’s were too flawed and dumb to be hero’s and the villains were either so brilliant in everything or just evil.

I’ve lived reading this series of books, I can’t say that this was my favourite but was still very enjoyable.
