I didn't see the ending coming and it really gutted me. I feel it was a cop-out as if the author didn't know what else to do with them. The book itself isn't as good as the previous but for me, that's because I loved Ben and Lila and everything they stood for. Sorry Mr Cunningham you created a brilliant storyline and the main characters to tell the story and I loved the three books but not the fourth.
Having read this series of book, absolutely amazing non stop excitement
You do have to read it from the start to fully appreciate the journey of Ben and Lila, but it's worth every second of your time. I've read hundreds of books that are saying they are great reads but this series truly is. Start very oddly with world ending nearly but characters seem to grow very fast and you seem to be slowly drawn into there lives which are very loving, violent and sometimes frightening the author portrayal of the nasty part of post apolitical society is probably rather close to the truth all be it unfortunate. Fantastic series of book, thought-provoking yes dull never. Very good read.
Absolutely broken hearted to leave these characters behind...
I ordered the set in Paperback and am determined to read them again. These books would make a wonderful Series or Mini Series but for those of us with vivid imaginations we already SEE the characters in action in our brains. I think Andrew Cunningham has crafted an amazing series and has given us much to think about....Bless you Sir!
The ending was a bit abrupt, but appropriate I think. While I struggled at first with the underlying premise for this 4-book post-apocalyptic series (a world-wide nuclear EMP event) I quickly got into the very well-developed characters I was introduced to. I found myself interested in each chapter and really enjoyed this ride, with its “generational passing of the torch”. It’s a nice read and I do recommend it.
Eden’s Survival is the fourth book in the outstanding Eden Rising series. Old friends are reunited; Cat, Simon, and their companions hunt a dangerous adversary. Will it mean an end to the life they love? Another compelling, complex post-apocalyptic thriller. I highly recommend this series!
This was an excellent end to the tale... It's amazing how the author intersected all these individuals and then brought them together again in later parts of the story. This was a believable story and, unfortunately, showcased the good and bad parts of human nature. It was a good ending to a great story.
Today I finished the entire series. It was super exciting from start to finish. Character development was extremely well done and the plot flowed very well. I found myself wanting to stay up every night to see what would happen next. I would highly recommend this series. The author did a fantastic job.
This was a nice continuation of a good story. The action flowed constantly and the emotions were touched. An unexpected but fine ending closed out the series…or did it?
I highly recommend this series. I didn't want it to end! Storytelling at its finest. I will not forget these characters for a long time. The 4 books in the series can be read as stand alone books, but the entire series is well worth the time.
....obviously everyone comes to their end, and in this new world passing on in your sleep is the best possible outcome. I suppose it was fitting the way the storyline ended but sad all the same.
Great to the last chapter but COME ON! After all the main characters have gone through, a --- no I won't spoil it. one word----- BLAAAUCH! How about an alternative ending???????? Bill Hodges, a fan
The ending was dumb. For an author who is entirely too verbose, the ending was without much detail, purpose, and plane dumb for two characters who survived so much.
The apocalypse was the beginning of the new world.
What would you do when the world ends? This series follows the trials of two young survivors of a world ending event. Follow them as they learn how to survive under the new rules of nature.
You can tell that the author had a plan when he started. The first three books flowed perfectly. The fourth book almost seemed like it was written by someone else. I did like the ending.
Love the series. Enjoyed how the characters growup and mature. The ending was shocking. Hope the same issue that caused the "problem" can quickly happen again and solve the problem.
An Outstanding Book in the Eden Rising Series. Very exciting ,easy to follow read. I found it hard to put down even when going to bed. I cannot wait for Book # 5 to come out.
Good action and believable scenarios, liked the approach to the simpler lifestyle and harmony with mother nature Enjoyed his other series and books also.
Totally unbelievable! Helicopters and airplanes? Plus, an anti-climactic ending. Originally a 3-book series, all of which were excellent. Should have quit after 3.
I’ve enjoyed this series of books a lot. I will admit I was not prepared for it to end the way it did. But I suppose it has to end in some way. See what you think.
