As passions begin to ignite, is there any hope for love this Christmas? Or have deceptions and resentments run too deep to heal. Can Christmas be a time of redemption for Elizabet and Andrew? A clean and wholesome Western Historical Romance from Faith Quinn.
Elizabet was injured and disfigured in an accident. She was thrown by a spooked horse. Permanently damaging her hand and disfiguring her face. Her parents tried to set her up with other suitors, but once they saw her face, they took off. So they sent out an ad for a mail order bride. Andrew was looking for a wife. He was a sheriff in Colorado. He answered the ad. Her parents wrote back, acting like they were Elizabet. She wanted to write to him. She wanted to tell him about her disfigurement, but her parents said no. He sent a telegram asking for her hand in marriage. Her parents agreed and shipped her out the next morning. Andrew met her at the stage, but did he know that the young woman with scars on her face was Elizabet? He married her just the same. He wouldn't go back on his proposal. He felt betrayed. He took her home but told her the master bedroom was off-limits. He set her in the guest room. She was heartbroken. He made no attempt to forgive her. She tried to cook and clean for him. But it didn't matter. He couldn't forgive her. He introduced her to his friends, Annie, a young woman who was pregnant. She was ready to give birth anytime. Elizabet and Annie became friends. She asked for Elizabet when she went into labor. She had a little boy, Elijah. Elizabet wanted children. But she told Annie she knew that Andrew would never forgive her and give her a baby. Annie gave her the best Christmas gift, and she left Elizabet and Andrew to bring up as their own. Annie went back home to her family. Andrew said no, but Elizabet fought him. She wasn't going to give up this baby boy. He saw another side of her, and her big heart. He came around and asked her how she got hurt and why she lied. She explained everything to him. It was a great journey for these two people to finally realize that they could make a go of their marriage. Great story by Faith Quinn
Lovely. It's very sad to know that are parents who miss treated their children just because they are different and have some kind of disability... it's hard to sallow... the reaction that Andrew has when he shook with the true was understanding... the hurt in Elizabeth made me cry and emotional because i can understand rejection and indifferent... thanks to God, that He made me see and feel his love ❤️... am just glad that this story had a happy ending. Thumbs 👍 to the author. A short lovely story of redemption.
The Disfigured Bride's Christmas Redemption By Faith Quinn
Three stars, shows how disability on any form can affect people's opinion.. Good or bad.. Elizabet was scarred, looking for love, her parents advertised her for a a mail order bride.. Andrew not knowing the truth, when meeting her feels betrayed.. Takes circumstances to make changes as a result they fell in love.
It's difficult to understand how parents can behave this way to a child. And then she is rejected again went sent as a mail order bride. But love has redemption arms. I recommend this book to everyone. Pure no profanity
This was one of the saddest story, I have ever read..My heart broke, how her parents treated her. They were worse than the accident and her husband why didn’t he just kill her, to end it…The baby was the bright spot..Her husband still blamed her, he never apologized
The book that I received had the title correct, but had a different story. It was about an Amish woman. I have no interest in that story, but would still like to read The Disfigured Bride’s Christmas Redemption.
