Fantastic!!
This is another addition to the Savage Kings MC South Carolina Chapter which is Bear’s story. After being married and divorced he just couldn’t move on. Maybe one way for closure is to attend his ex-wife’s wedding. It’s then that her runs into his ex-sister-in-law, Lyla. Lyla had eyes for Bear before he married her sister and now was her chance.
I loved Bear and Lyla and the twists and turns in this book made it a huge page turner for me. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series.

Barrett has been a bit lost for a long time. While serving his country, his marriage fell apart. Since he's arrived home, he's struggled to find his place back in his home town - he doesn't really feel like he fits in until he and his brothers form a new chapter of the Savage Kings MC. He's been living like a monk, with no interest in finding a new relationship. When he finds out that his ex is getting remarried, he convinces himself that seeing her happy with another man is exactly what he needs to close that chapter of his life and move on. What he doesn't count on is running into his ex's sister at the reception and coming to her aid. He actually was attracted to and met Lyla before her sister (his deceitful ex-wife), but Lyla's social awkwardness didn't allow them to connect way back then.
Now, years later, Barrett comes to her rescue. He gets her cleaned up and treats her wounds. Despite his determination to treat her like a sibling, they jump headlong into a one-night stand. For Lyla, it's revelatory - she lost her virginity to someone she trusts and thoroughly enjoyed herself. What neither of them are willing to admit is that they want to see each other again. Both feel constrained by Barrett's failed marriage and the fact that Lyla is his ex-wife's sister.
A mysterious figure begins to stalk Lyla. Add in an overprotective father that also happens to be president of a rival MC bent on driving the Savage Kings out and it looks like Barrett's chance with Lyla is over before it can even get started.
While Barrett, a.k.a. Bear, may look like a big tough guy, he's actually got quite a sensitive heart. He has been deeply affected by his ex, his past with his family, his military history and the aftermath of several deployments. He could have come back bitter and angry, but instead he strives to find a way to reconnect with his family and to help others. Layered over this sensitive heart is the physically and mentally strong soldier that the army created. He'll use those skills to protect Lyla. Hopefully along the way, he can convince her to give him a real chance.
Lyla has been cloistered for her entire life. Now, as an adult, she's struggling to exert her authority over her own life. Her sister has treated her badly for years, eating away at her opinion of herself. Besides the squick factor of seeing her sister's ex-husband, she can't really believe someone who looks like Bear would be interested in a long-term relationship. It takes her a while to believe that his affection is real, but it's a real joy to watch her character learn to see herself as desirable and independent.
I really liked Barrett/Bear in this story. Despite his rough exterior, he has a heart of gold and devotes himself fully to Lyla. Lyla grew on me over time as her self esteem grew and she went for what she wanted in life.
The mystery to the story provides a background hum of malice through the story, keeping the reader turning the pages to find out what's really going on. This aspect of the story, combined with the romance between our star-crossed lovers makes for a good suspenseful romance read.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is the 3rd book in the Savage Kings MC: Virginia series. Each book can be read as a standalone but you don't want to miss any of these amazing guys.
Barrett or Bear hasn't been with or even looked at another woman since his divorce years ago. So why does the first woman he seems attracted to have to be the little sister to his ex-wife. He knows its wrong but he just can't seem to stay away. Especially now that someone is after her.
Lyla's dad thinks she needs to go stay with Bear until they catch the guy. That's a good thing cause he's the only person she feels safe with. Until she learns he is keeping a huge secret from her and refuses to tell her.
I really enjoyed this book and can't wait from Ruger's book. This author is definitely my go to for MC romance.

This story was one that I found hard to put down. Barrett and Lyla's story is full of amazing characters, sizzling with chemistry, packed full of drama and situations that will have you on the edge of your seat . Lyla was at times a little frustrating and childish, however still a character that you can't help but like. I loved the banter, the entertainment and the suspense and family drama. A fantastic ending that gives you the HEA you have been hoping for.

Guys, every single time that I have the chance to read a new book, it feels like I might explode if I don't start it fast enough.
It's the truth, and when it's a book written by authors that I adore and a genre that I love, I almost lose myself. Lol
Lane Hart and DB West are amazing and their MC series is to die for.
Just go and buy those books. I can guarantee that you'll love them.

Barret, aka Bear, is one of the Savage Kings brothers. The club is new in his town so when the opportunity to open up a chapter there appeared, he and his brothers were all in.
Before he went to the army, one girl spiked his interest and he ended up getting married to her sister instead.
Things happened and that relationship ended badly...
When he re-encounters his former sister-in-law...
Dayum, this book was something else...
Loved it so freaking much that I didn't want it to end.
Great plot, well written, dark, intense, and beautiful at the same time.
The way the characters connected with each other it's amazing and you can feel the chemistry between the two.
How can you move on when your heart was broken and stepped on?
How can you be happy when you don't feel like you deserve it?
The way the story progressed left me wanting to keep reading and reading. Some scenes left me on edge and boy the hot stuff... Out of the park good...
Loved the fact that we had glimpses of the other MC brothers.
And also love the secrecy around RJ... Thank God his book is next. Lol

4.5 stars! Such a fun to read!
Bear is the third installment in the Savage Kings - Virginia Chapter following the Fulton brothers, this time Barrett Fulton, the youngest.
This was an amazing story, a fun to read and experience with great protagonists and a slew of superb secondaries, acting as adjuvants and, in other circumstances, as opponents.
Barrett and Lyla's tale felt real and swoon, with very young characters that acted as their own age, showing moments of adulthood without having lost some semblance of innocense as well.
Barrett is a very reserved man whose life hasn't been easy since returning to a civilian status after getting out of the military and whose experience might have costed his marriage. Not so much as we'll have the opportunity o know for real.
Lyla was his ex-wife's sister that had nurtured a crush since their very first interaction, even before Laurel.
The thing about these two is that nothing happened in malice or betrayal. Their feelings were pure, undiluted and fierce. And their trysts.....swoon, 🔥🥵🔥🥵🔥🥵🔥🥵 and decadent.
What strated as something pretty much indefined evolved to the realest love story of all, with insecurity, sometimes certainty, but absolutely no doubt that they missed each other every day.
Then, as a plot twist and as a twist of fate, Lyla will be under the eye of the man she craves with all her soul and the very one everybody, her father included, were against to. Lyla's predicament is perilous and Bear, as a former military man, is a man on a mupission to shield, protect and annihilate, if necessary.
Their fate is sealed and the future very promising!

“I felt like myself tonight for the first time in as long as I can remember.”
Having met Bear in the previous two books in the series I knew he was a man with a broken soul. I never expected there was such a sweet, sensitive, romantic man underneath his gruff, grumpy and negative exterior. Within the first few chapters I realized I didn’t really know him at all. Even after reading the entire book I’m still mystified why on earth he married Laurel or why she married him. They were so obviously completely wrong for each other. Poor Bear is the only one that really paid the price for their foolish choices. Well, poor Bear and poor Lyla I guess is the more accurate statement.
Bear and Lyla’s love story is very different from Remy and Colt’s. Probably because despite being the youngest Fulton brother he’s not much like any of his older siblings. Lyla is the complete opposite of her with of a sister as well. They are both kindhearted romantics and together they sizzle. Being together was so easy for them both. They should have been together all along and I’m very happy they finally found their way back to each other, despite the unexpected and unwelcome surprise that almost ended their relationship. But overcoming adversity it what ended up making them stronger. And I ended up not detesting Lyla’s dad, Isaac so much by the end. (Speaking of Isaac, anyone else wonder if there might be something going on between him and Lyla’s bff, Holly?😉)
RJ is next. He’s the last Fulton brother. I hope we also get a story for Greer before Lane wraps up this series. So far it’s my favorite MC series she’s written, and she’s written quite a few so that’s saying something.

As a huge fan of the Savage Kings MC series (yes, ALL the chapters), I was thrilled to get into this one.
Barrett is finding his way back into society after completing his military service, and working hard with his brothers to establish the new Savage Kings chapter in Virginia, much to the irritation of the Devil Hounds, (an established, local MC) and their president.
Lyla has her own challenges living her life, hindered by her controlling dad, Issac. Who just happens to be the president of the Devil Hounds, and Barrett's ex father in law. (WHEW!) Lots of tension and drama - but that's the least difficult part of the story!
This was absolutely impossible to stop reading, once I started. This story is full of great characters, chemistry, drama and nerve-wracking situations that kept me flipping pages. I love reads like this ... A roller coaster ride of emotions, right up to the HEA!
It is best to have read the others in the Virginia chapter (Barrett's brothers), and Hugo and Abel from the SKMC South Carolina chapter beforehand.
I love the creativity and craftsmanship of this writing team. Each story has everything I want and need from an MC read, and I know I will fall in love with another couple, every time.

Barrett "Bear" Fulton thought the young woman sitting on the beach was beautiful but when he tried to talk with her she was too shy and too convinced that she would never be enough for anyone that she barely spoke to him. When her older, prettier, sexier, and more talkative sister came over and introduced herself, Barrett was smitten. Too bad he didn't push Lyla a bit harder to talk to him.
Needing closure from a failed marriage at a young age after deployment, Barrett has joined the Savage Kings MC - Virginia chapter. It's been several years since he's been with a woman, but his heart and head just can't seem to heal from the heartache he has from the woman that broke him. When he decides to get the closure he's so sure he needs, he finds himself rescuing a young woman in the dark at the reception of his ex-wife's wedding.
I loved this book. I love Bear and the Savage King MC characters. I have been a big fan of Lane Hard and D. B. West for quite some time now and picking up this book was a great idea. I look forward to reading more of the Savage Kings MC - Virginia Chapter books in the near future.

This is the 3rd book in the Savage Kings MC-Virginia Series featuring Barrett "Bear" Fulton and Lyla Perry's exciting action-packed romance. Bear has returned home from his time away serving in the military which cost him his marriage since Laura divorced him while he was serving. Lyla fell for Bear when she first saw him all those years ago but her older sister Laura had to make a move on him first and they eventually got married. Lyla runs into Bear before her sister Laura's upcoming wedding she realizes that the feelings that she had for him never went away she still has feelings for him. Bear hasn't dated or trusted a woman since his divorce from Laura years ago which means that he's not looking to date anyone. Can you imagine how he feels when the first woman that he's attracted to after all of these years is his ex-wife Laura's younger sister? I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this exciting action packed romance. I would recommend reading this entertaining book and I'm looking forward to the next book in this exciting series.

I can't believe its taken me so long to getting round to reading this and the onward THE SAVAGE KINGS SERIES
Here we have Barrett Bear Fulton story.
He's back from military life and in the fold of his family & The Rockland MC Series.
We start back five yrs prior when 17yrs old Bear meets quiet 16yrs old Lyla but he walks over to the more outgoing confidential older sister Laurel whom he ended up marrying prior to him joining the Army which didn't last during his deployment to Afghanistan and when he gets back home he had to move back home with his Dad and younger brother RJ.
But it's at his ex wife's wedding night that things change for Bear and Lyla and joins Lyla's Dad Issac Perry's Devil Hounds MC.
After the attempted abduction of Lyla not just Once.
But it brings Bear and Lyla closer then she decides she need to leave Rockland for a while until she came back and wanted to congratulate Bear she finds Thane the man whom went with her had done things that made Lyla think Bear didn't really want her come and find out if they'd beable to fix what they had started.....

I’m a huge fan of MC Romance books and whilst this one differed from your typical style I really enjoyed it.
The title character Bear has returned from serving in the army. Whilst being away he’s gotten divorced, lost a friend and joined a motorcycle club - one which just happens to be a rival of his ex father in laws MC club. His faith and attraction in women are lost and he feels a little lost too until a chance encounter with his ex-wife’s little sister Lyla and sparks fly.
I genuinely loved everything about this book - the two main characters, the brothers and Thane, the drama and danger and twists and turns. The fact there wasn’t really other woman drama or club bunnies. Yes there was drama between clubs but it was just enough to hint at the dangers of MC clubs whilst still highlighting the positive aspects some MC Clubs do have despite the usual negative connotations.

Savage Kings. These two authors certainly do not let you down with this story. This one is like their previous ones just great. I never understand how authors can keep writing stories all with totally different storyline just the leading characters being different in each story. What I like about these stories about the Savage Kings is we get to hear about previous leading characters, how they are faring, all in moderation though. This story is one of those you begin reading and you only stop when you fall asleep with the book or Kindle on your nose or you finished it feeling bad there is no more to read because the next story is not out yet... Five fabulously fantastically shiny stars are not enough for this story but they are all being offered so I accept that and give all of them to this story.

This is a thrilling fairground ground ride of a five-star read. Bear is a man with a purpose, and he deserves so much better than his ex-wife, he has a real passion to him, and you know that he will go far when he has the passion and a good help with him. Honestly I think Bear and Lyla could be the future of not just the Savage Kings Virginia chapter but also another MC with the Hounds, I have loved all of the stores in this series and enjoyed getting to know them all, you could read it as stand-alone, but together they just add up to a fantastic world altering chapter. Lyla and Bear bring out the best of each other, but they aren’t the only ones that’s happening to in this story, and I am so excited to hear more from our next brother Ruger, or RJ as those of us who have loved the series know and love him, what secrets will he reveal.

Bear is the third book in the Savage Kings MC: Rockland Virginia Chapter. Like all of the Savage Kings books, this one is a page-turner. Bear (Barrett) and his brothers (Remy, Colt, & RJ) are still trying to grow the Rockland Chapter of the MC, while Bear is also trying to find purpose. Things become very interesting when he finds the support and love that he needs and deserves in his ex-wife's little sister, Lyla.
Bear is an entertaining and compelling read with a storyline full of MC action, steamy romance, love, drama, family secrets, and suspense. I do have to admit that Lyla got on my nerves more than once, being childish and entitled. However, because Bear was so in love with her, I had to try to see her through his eyes.
Ruger's (RJ) book is up next! I can hardly wait.

4.5 Stars! Bear is as lovable as it gets!
I loved Bear! I felt so bad for him and kind of angry on his behalf at what his ex did. He truly was a sweetheart with a good soul! I loved that he wanted to help his fellow vets.
I loved Lyla! I felt bad for how she saw herself and how her sister aided in that. He sister is a horrible piece of work! He dad didn’t exactly earn any points with how differently he treated his daughters, but by the end it all made sense, and he won my respect.
I loved Lyla and Bear together! They were sexy and sweet together. I do wish that there was a bit more of a resolution with both Bear and Lauren and Lyla and Lauren.
I can’t wait for RJ’s book! This one left me with a few questions. Why were he and Jordan at the hospital being the most pertinent!.

Sometimes the universe knows when you are supposed to be with a person and will give you however many chances you need to get it right. Bear (Barrett} actually met Lyla many years prior to the timeframe in this story but for whatever reason, the universe thought her sister would be a good match. Well, sometimes the universe gets it wrong but luckily for Lyla and Bear they get their chance for their HEA in this wonderful story. Lane Harr and D.B. West NEVER disappoint me with the stories they weave, and I have loved all the Savage Kings MC books regardless of what "chapter" is the story of the month. I hope they keep on finding new MC chapters to write about so I can keep dreaming of these good "bad boys".

Lyla is young, naïve and very shy when she meets Barrett (Bear) as a teenager. Bear is trying to hit on her and she believes that he is there for her older sister. Lyla has very low self-esteem about herself and doesn’t believe that any guy would really give her the time of day. Bear does end up marrying her sister, but it doesn’t last long. A few years later, Bear runs into Lyla and there is a spark!

Barrett/Bear is the next brother in the Savage Kings MC - Virginia, the story is a standalone but as with the other Savage Kings series there an overarching timeline. Barrett has returned from the serving his time in the military. His wife divorced him while he was gone and he has no interest in dating or women at all.
He decides to go to his ex's wedding to see if she is happy. He comes to his ex's sister (Lyla) aid when she falls in the parking lot. He helps her home, he feels a stirring of lust for Lyla.
I love Bear and Lyla's story, the pair had such chemistry. There is plenty of action as with any Savage Kings book. Cannot wait for RJ's story.

This is another great addition to the Savage Kings MC South Carolina Chapter and is Bear’s story.
After being married and divorced he just couldn’t move on. Maybe one way for closure is to attend his ex-wife’s wedding. It’s then that her runs into his ex-sister-in-law, Lyla. Lyla had eyes for Bear before he married her sister and now was her chance.
Barrett and Lyla's story is full of amazing characters, sizzling with chemistry, packed full of drama and situations that will have you on the edge of your seat . Lyla was at times a little frustrating and childish, however still a character that you can't help but like. I loved the banter, the entertainment and the suspense and family drama. A fantastic ending that gives you the HEA you have been hoping for.

This is such a good read.
Bear is back home from the Armed Forces a divorced man but has not been with anyone since the divorce.
When he bumps into his ex sister-in-law there is a spark between them. When he attends his ex wife's wedding he saves his sister-in-law Lyla and vows to everything he can to keep her safe.
I loved how they were together but it seems not everyone is happy that they are together and will he be able to keep her safe when danger comes for her again.
I loved how they were together but can they make it through and come out the other side together.
A must read with plenty of danger and suspense but also so much love.
I absolutely loved the ending.

This is the third book in this incredible series, and this is Barrett / Bear and Lyla’s journey. Bear has been unable to move on from his divorce, and when his ex-wife is getting married, he feels that this is the chance of closure. At the reception Bear crosses paths with Lyla, his ex-sister-in-law, and the sparks fly. When Lyla is the target of a stalker, Bear will do whatever he must to protect and keep her safe. This is a well written action packed, emotional roller coaster, with danger, suspense, intrigue, drama, second chances, secrets, lies, and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, and steamy page turner.

He becomes busy helping establish the Savage Kings chapter in Virginia, but a rival club isn't happy about it. The Pres of that club just happens to be his ex father in law. And how will his romance play out when he finally does move on when the woman happens to be his ex's sister? Bear and Lyla's story has all the feels with drama and romance that readers have come to expect from Lane Hart & D.B. West. Lyla is sitting on the beach watching some guy sud and there is one that just keep catching her eye. Tell he’s the last to get out of the water that’s when her comes up to talk to her. But she’s shy and awkward and he’s gorgeous. But her sister come and lures him away and shortly after they are married but that doesn’t last because her sister is a real peace of work. Years later Lyla see Barrett in the mail and they talk about thing and the fact that her sister is getting married again so Barrett and his brother crash the wedding. But then Barrett has to help Lyla after she takes a fall. And that when they’re relationship gets started. But someone is after Lyla. So enjoy another good read too see what happens!!

This series is so amazing! Each book gets better as we get to know more of the brothers and the dynamic of the club! Bear used to be married to Lyla’s sister but things turned out terribly for them. Bear never imagined that he would be married and divorced so young. The time in the military didn’t help. He surely never imagined that he would run into the sister or his ex and end up saving her life. How thing went from bad to worse he’ll never know, but he quickly realized he picked the wrong sister from the beginning!.

Bear is with the new Virginia chapter of the Savage Kings MC after serving in the military. He’s been divorced for a few years and shows up at his ex wife’s wedding and reunites with Lyla, the ex’s younger sister. They end up in bed and in love. Lyla’s dad is the president of the rival MC club and thinks Bear is using her to get back at the ex which isn’t the case. Sparks and bullets fly throughout the book when both clubs have to come together to protect Lyla from an unknown stalker. I loved the chemistry and spice between the two characters.

To get closure he goes to his ex-wife's wedding but while there his ex-sister-in law lands in trouble and he goes to help her out. It results in an intimate night between them with sparks igniting between them. Her father who is the president of a rival MC thinks that Bear is using her to get back at his ex-wife, but he isn't. Will there be a war between the MCs because of his relationship with Lyla? This action-packed story kept me glued to it.

Lyla has always loved Bear and has a terrible relationship with her sister. When she meets up with Bear again that feeling is still there.
I read this in one sitting and couldn't put it down. The story had me laughing at parts and surprised at others due to twists and turns.

Lyla spotted Bear for the first time all those years ago but of course her older sister Laura had to be the one to make the first move and eventually marry Bear. All Lyla could do was sit back and watch. Ever since Bears first marriage didn't work out, he hasn't trusted another woman and hasn't been looking for one either. When Lyla runs into Bear right before her sister's wedding all those feelings, she once had for Bear comes back. Could Lyla finally get her chance with Bear or will Bear just be using her as an excuse to get back at his ex-wife?
This was a really entertaining read.
