When Bryan's assigned to guard Kerry before she testifies in a high profile case, he expects it to be a simple job. Falling for her is against every rule, but no shifter can deny the mate bond.
Kerry Delgado is anything but simple.
When the bullets and fur start flying, Bryan discovers that he and Kerry have far more in common than he imagined. His wolf demands he does everything possible to keep her safe, but she’s tangled up with dangerous men. And she may hold the key to the mystery of his pack's existence.
He's supposed to be a regular bodyguard, even if he's a werewolf. But when there's magic involved, nothing is simple. And if Bryan wants to claim Kerry as his own, he'll need to unravel the mystery before it's too late and he loses everything
This was an action packed continuation of the series and I love that we're getting closer to mystery of how they became wolf shifters ;) That being said, this story had fab chemistry between Kerry and Bryan and that they ended up as mates was the frosting on this reading cake ;P Expect to be swept up in a bodyguard shifter romance, with danger and action swirling around these two interesting characters, while they try to survive....and find their HEA. Good fun!
This book hooks you in and refuses to let you go. It doesn't stop for a second and the moments of downtime are filled with tension so delicious you can feel it in your.... Shifter bodyguard romance. Those three words had me sold and signing up for the arc and it should have everyone running to get this book. Kerry needs a bodyguard and Bryan is sent to keep an eye on her but something inside them knows something. They don't know each other and their relationship needs to be professional so he can keep her safe but we know how this goes. They feel it. The wolves inside them feel it. The frikken plot stopped mattering when the M word was mentioned. But the plot, like my gravy, thickens. And the gravy wishes it could be as thick as the tension. Your heart will race, your anxiety will flare, you'll feel all tingly inside and more. Add it to your tbr and start immediately. I know I'll be going back and reading every last one of the books in this series.
Kerry is used to living in the grey. With her father having his fingers in all kinds of murky pies, she knew exactly where the lines were that she would not cross. When she gets involved in a heist, she is the sole witness who can put the bad guys away. But someone is out to ensure that she never makes it to the trial.
Enter Bryan and his pack of renegade shifters. There still sorting through their new lives as shifters and trying to investigate just what happened to them. But they also need to make their new security firm profitable and Bryan finds himself the new bodyguard of Kerry.
After an initial misunderstanding, he and Kerry soon find their rhythm. But they may just have found something else - love!
The mates took a while to understand exactly what was happening to them and what they were feeling - not too hard to understand when neither were willing participants in what happened to them. Learning more about the shady goings-on is helping to fill in the gaps but there is still way more we need to find out!!!!!
Gunfights, werewolves, robbery, abduction, mobsters, magic and true love; a book after my own heart.
After witnessing a robbery Kerry gets assigned a bodyguard, Bryan, to keep her alive so she can testify at the trial. Little does she know Bryan is also a werewolf and her one true mate. Exciting and heartwarming I’d recommended this book to all werewolf lovers out there.
This is a fast-paced and steamy shifter read. Bryan was assigned to guard Kerry before she testifies for a high-profile case and ends up falling for her. Can he keep her safe from those who will do anything to stop her from testifying? Plenty of twists and turns, drama and sizzling chemistry. I liked it.
Well there was a lot going on here! I don't want to spoil anything - but the book is action packed. There is always something going on - with a romance budding through it all. The MC's were so incredibly kind and loving to each other, they are Mates afterall. It took the FMC some time to realize that was what was happening - but knew she had some pull to him straight on. There is something about Mate books that is so satisfying - there is no doubt that they love their partner - there is no back and forth - they are straight in it for life! The side characters are all supportive and fabulous. I unfortunately did not read the entire series - and jumped in here - it was not an issue for this couple, but there were parts I was missing with other couples. I did not feel lost - but interested is a better word. After reading this I am interested in going back and starting the series from the beginning. There are wolves, witches and magic! There isn't a cliffhanger with the couple, but it's left with wanting to know more about the world .... so hopefully book 5 comes soon!
My first Kate Rudolph book and I wasnt disappointed. Shifter romance. Kerry witnesses a crime and Bryan is her bodygaurd. Lust and inate attraction threatens safety but also Kerrys heart. Great book
This was my first time reading a shifter romance, it did not disappoint. The story was action packed. The steam level was off the charts. Kerry witnessed something bad. Bryan is her new bodyguard. Their attraction is undeniable. Bryan just need to keep her safe wild keeping himself at bay. You need to read this book.
God, I thought the rest of the books were full of action but this book is the best yet. Kerry is a witness to a shooting & Bruce has been tasked with being her bodyguard, it's not that simple!
Reading start date: December 12th, 2022 12.22.22: My thoughts on what I have read thus far (Disclaimer! I haven't read the first three books, so this review may need a lot of revising if I need to read the other three before this one, we shall see.) Now, back to my thoughts on what I am thinking thus far! Chapter One: We are with Kerry, the MFC, through this chapter. It started off slowly. We are placed in a setting a year before the rest of the story. (It is written in the third person, which I appreciate) From my first impressions, I am not the biggest fan of the writing, as it is more modern than I like in my books. But that is a personal preference, so if that doesn't apply to you, move along. All hell breaks loose within the middle of this chapter, and Kerry is caught in the middle of it all. Then we are introduced to a wolf before the police show up. Chapter Two: We are pushed forward into the present day and hanging out with the MMC, Bryan Vega. I believe he and Stasia (from the first book) are out in the woods playing cat and mouse. Okay, so if you want to understand the second chapter, you will need to read the other books. Even so, I will continue and come back for a revision review if I feel the need to. [Note: What does nineteenth-century maiden suffering the vapors look like?] One of my personal pet peeves for any shifter book, romance or not, is when they refer to themselves as werewolves... if they can shift on demand, then no, they are not a werewolf or Lycanthropy they are, in fact, one single thing, Shifter. Example from chapter two: Big words coming from a werewolf. No, shifter. I didn't find it dramatic, and I am assuming that was the author's aim as it was in italics. Anywho! They end up going into the protection detail for Kerry, the witness who works at an art gallery, and Bryan was placed to guard her against whoever started that big ole shot out behind the gallery. Welp that is as far as I have gotten. I lost interest, but I will try and push through before the release to place a solid review. 12.28.2022: Mm, I am trying to get through this book so that I can give you all a good, well-thought-out review. But, it is becoming challenging. There is nothing that is reaching out to hold my attention. It reminds me of every other wolf-shifter-fated-mates book out there. Some of them are well done and entertaining, but for ME, this is not one of them. Again, it may be the way of writing that doesn't hit it for me. I honestly don't know. 1.1.2023: Happy New Year!!! Now, for the final update: There was a lot going on within the remainder of this book- a ton of action! There are wolves, witches, and magic! There isn't a cliffhanger with the couple, but it's left wanting to know more about the world. After finishing it, I would like to retract most of what I said above. All in all, I would recommend this book to others who enjoy fated mates and shifters!
General Reading Rate: I will give it a three out of five. I loved that it picked up.

4.5 stars. Kerry, the female wolf shifter lead, was bitten by a wolf shifter a year ago when she witnessed a crime for which she’s now a prosecution key witness. Being threatened as the trial approaches, Bryan, the male wolf shifter lead, is hired to be her bodyguard.
Hiding their wolves from the human world, neither knows the other is a shifter when they meet, though that swiftly changes. With Kerry being threatened by what initially appears to be a different group to the one(s) Bryan’s pack are investigating for personal reasons, they’re surprised by the growing overlap in their concerns…
This story is dual POV, well written, and a steamy wolf shifter romance. I haven’t read the others in this series and found this stood alone BUT I think it’d be more enjoyable after the others and I’m certainly planning to read them. I enjoyed Kerry’s awareness of her limitations and her willingness to work within them to keep herself and others safe. I enjoyed Bryan’s willingness to do whatever needed to be done. I enjoyed the relationship development and the intimate interactions and progression. I enjoyed the integration of secondary characters and the importance of found family.

Kerry Delgado is the sole witness to a shooting, during which she is turned into a wolf shifter. She has been in danger for the last year, and things keep getting worse. The detective on the case arranges for a bodyguard, and from the moment she meets Bryan Vega, something tells her wolf that he is her Mate. Bryan is getting the same message, and the urge to claim her is strong. With the trial date imminent, will Bryan be able to keep her safe?
This book is the fourth in the series, and while it may be read as a stand alone, it is better enjoyed read in order. The mystery of how the group became a pack of wolf shifters is a little bit closer to being solved, but we're not there yet. The romance part of the story is good. The draw between Bryan and Kerry is powerful, and their romps in wolf form are fun. I can recommend this one as a good read worth the one click.

This was a fast paced book with plenty of drama, action, suspense, gunfights, robbery, abductions, mobsters, magic, werewolves are just a few things that keep the read turning the pages. Kerry Delgado witnessed a robbery and now has to testify ina high profile case and with threats against her life she gets a bodyguard and he is sexy as sin and she feels a pull towards him but doesn’t understand why. Bryan is a werewolf and has been given the assignment of a bodyguard to watch over Kerry Delgado who is a witness against the mob after witnessing the robbery and they will do anything to stop her but the biggest shock is that the female is his fated mate and will everything in his power to keep her safe. Can Bryan keep his mate safe and can their burning attraction for each other get in the way.
Hungry for the Wolf focuses on Kerry and Bryan. Kerry is a key witness in a criminal trial. When she seems to be in danger, Bryan is brought in to protect her. Sadly, he is only semi-successful at this.
I have to say, I wasn't very impressed with Bryan and his pack. Their job is protecting people and they were failing left and right.
As for the romance, Bryan is drawn to Kerry and vice versa. Their romance develops gradually, as they find themselves under fire and trying to stay a step ahead of the danger.
I liked Hungry for the Wolf but I found the plot a bit disappointing. I wasn't that invested in the story or the characters. And though I'm curious about Jericho and Erin's story, I don't think I'll be reading the next book.

Kerry is a loner with a secret. A very well connected loner: she's knows people in the art world, people in the Mafia, people in law enforcement and people who may want her dead. Some of these people are acquaintances, some of them are family, some are her protectors, some are her keepers, and one of them is really a werewolf. Trouble is ,Kerry has no idea which of them is really on her side. Through twists and turns, bullets and kidnappings, threats and blackmail, only the wolf has her back. Still, it takes her till the last dizzying, crazy, hot-hot-hot minute to figure it out, and you'll be on the edge of your seat the whole time. But fear not - HEA wlll pre-empt your heart attack, and you'll gasp with relief when the girl finally gets it, and the wolf gets his mate. This is a voluntary and enthusiastic ARC review.
Hungry for the wolf was an excellent shifter romance full of mystery, action and suspense. When bodyguard MMC Bryan is assigned to protect MFC Kerry who is about to testify in a high-profile case it soon becomes more than he expected when a fated mate bond rears its troublesome head. With perfect writing and pacing book #4 in the series is a forgone captivating narrative in a world of shifters and their packs.

There is non-stop action and danger seems to be everywhere. The action will reel you in and our MCs are in the center of the conspiracy/mystery in this story. Another clue is revealed but still remains a mystery though we now know who is responsible.
Despite the danger, our MCs find themselves falling in love, Well, they are mates after all. Though I can't help but ask about this repeated abduction.
This is Book 4 of Guarded by the Shifter starring Kerry Delgado and Bryan. This one is full of twists and turns and a lot of inner connected secrets and danger with drama and a mystery. I loved this suspenseful love mating with these two characters and the way these two meet will have you howling with laughter. I can not wait for the next book.

Kerry needs a bodyguard after she agrees to testify about a shooting she witnessed. Her bodyguard is Bryan, a former soldier, now werewolf. There are countless complications to this case, not even counting the instant attraction between the two of them. Their story is sweet and there’s a lot of information about the ongoing storyline.

Kerry Delgado has witnessed a shooting, and Bryan Vega has been tasked with acting as her bodyguard. After a rocky start, these two run from gunmen, uncover secrets, get kidnapped and rescued, and find something special in each other. I enjoyed this action packed story, and the back and forth between Bryan and Kerry was a hoot. What a wild ride!
Kerry is guarded by Bryan and there's the mate bond. Another well-written plot and the characters are great. I can't wait for the next book by the author. A must-read in this genre.

Enjoy the setup for this one; Bryan is protecting Kerry, so she can testify against some bad guys. Fun danger and excitement! Enjoy the shifter aspect too; love mate bonds! Entertaining story with some good action!
