This was an exciting and fast paced story that takes us into the lives of Nora, a wolf shifter bodyguard, and Julian, a witch and healer. Nora saves her client by jumping in the way and taking on the magical spell, or curse, herself. Things don't go smoothly for this stubborn gal but thankfully, her friends and Julian are persistent ;) I enjoyed the chemistry between them and loved seeing her drop her defenses to let herself love and be loved. These two deserved their HEA ;D

Nora is a Big Bad Wolf

(shifter-type) with Alpha level responsibilities and a singular focus on fulfilling them. Which means that a during a magical attack on her pack and its witch allies, she dives in front of Julian the healer witch and absorbs a spell meant to kill him. Being a wolf shifter grants her more resistance to the lethal spell, which means she goes on about her life as the spell slowly seeps into her and saps her strength and energy. Julian breaks though her denial and self sacrificing mindset because he finds himself drawn to her. The discovery that the spell is still lethal and will kill Nora leads them on a search for the cure, and a discovery that they are truly fated mates. This is a short, suspenseful and action-filled love story as only Kate Rudolph writes them, and I enjoyed every nail-biting minute! This has been an independent ARC review.

This was a great read and I really liked how one tried to keep it all business but when you find your fated mate it makes it hard to separate the need to to claim each other. Nora has been cursed by a witch and if she is to survive she needs the help from a former client who is a witch and a healer and happens to by her mate. Julian is a witch and a healer that has wanted Nova since they worked together but she has always been business and now he gets the chance to help her and lift the curse that will take her life. Now the curse has been lifted they relax but it isn’t long till danger comes for them again. Great read

Take one bada&& female shifter, Nora, add a curse, and a potential magical mate, Julian, who is also a healer. That makes a great premise for a book! Nora is in charge of everything in her life - she is the boss, the Alpha, the protector. So this curse is sapping her of all her strength and making her feel useless.

Julian is more cerebral than brawn. He heals with his magic but he's not exactly a weakling when it comes to protecting those he cares about.

Brilliant mix of stubborn, strong FMC and a MMC who flexes his brain more than his muscles! Great, quick read!

This is a quick shifter read. A curse is threatening Nora, who is a wolf shifter and to survive she is going to need the help of a witch and a healer. He is also a former client; Nora doesn’t mix business with pleasure. Can she resist her attraction and keep one step ahead of the danger lurking? Great world building and an entertaining and action packed read. I liked it.

this is part of a series and focuses on one mated pair. This time a witch is mated to an alpha wolf who was cursed by their witch enemy. And the FMC is a very stubborn wolf, if not for her mate would have ended up dead. It's a romantic novella with a bit of action, danger, much loving and a happy ending for our MCs.
