Being transported to a strange world and sold as a sex slave to a young lord? 9 out of 10, Cas does not recommend (What? His master is hot.).

Trigger warning scene, check inside for details

DNF @ 10%.

My main issue is that while Cas is 18 (which is younger than I care to read), Raidon is 16. I don’t really want to read about this 16 year old slave owner raping Cas. I don’t want to read an adolescent slavefic.

As for the trigger warning at the beginning of “small amount of sexual violence.”… well, it’s
Well, I get that your MC acknowledges that since slaves can’t say ‘no’, it’s all non-consensual…
But I would still say it’s more that slight sexual violence when you decide to throw in his owner not using lube or preparing him in any way and just shoving his dick in his virgin slave, causing physical pain on top of the whole slave thing, even if very brief in description. Cas is left bleeding (the blood covered rag mentioned a few times), and in pain for days.

I generally don’t write review, but I felt like this author is good enough that they deserve a fair word.
I’ve read the books in this serie 3 times so far and each time I was kept very engage in the story. It’s plot follow along with most time/space traveling stories but just different enough to make it unique.
Yes, there are triggers but it’s not a hardcore exotic story and was essential to the character’s role and the setting of the society.
Yes, the series does evolve into MMF but again it falls in line with setting of the story but is not the main plot of the serie.
Cas’s drive to overcome being in a strange world, survive his situation, and to find happiness (eventually love) is the same grounding theme in all romantic stories. Each book in the serie builds on the previous and tells a great story. From a struggle to overcome a bad guardian, to being the fairy-godfather in a Cinderella courtship with a twist, and a final wrap-up of saving a whole kingdom. The author’s telling of Cas’s advertures in a grounding/practical perspective without too much pixie dust is always refreshing.
Although the serie’s finalization in the third book is well written, there is space for the author to continue if they so choose. I would definitely consider read another book from this author.

50% Ch21, DNF

It had a lot of potential, but soon became full of time skips and lots of telling but not much showing. Literally like around 4 years have passed and I'm only at the half way point, so much rushed through and while interesting idea.

Didn't give any time for relationship development to be seen, feelings or actual character growth. Only glimpses as rush between scenes and training over time, without much focus.

The world building is intriguing, the concept and set up great but it just lacked structure so I lost interest. Not much explanation as to how Casper ended up where he is or any real knowledge about, whether parallel or other world. Leaves a lot up to the reader I suppose.

Also having looked at the future of the series, doesn't appeal to me as much and so rather drop now.

DNF 8%. I will not read anymore, after the initial violent, no lube, rape scene. It is barely a scene, short and glossed over, not much detail. Only the bloody rag aftermath. I just abhor any character who would treat another like that. And it's a main character!

I would have apprecaited a heads up for the 16 year old slave rape scenes trigger warning to be included.. I would not have purchased this at all.

jeleknya buku ini tuh soalnya kebanyakan deskripsi instead of actual dialogue. it's more like a memoir instead of mm romance i think?

till the end i had never came across the description of lord raidon's appearance. dia pirang, rambutnya kriting ta gimana. bukunya cuma fokus ke timeline. karakternya kurang in depth for a romance novel i think?

it's so matter of fact that feelings are rarely explored.

still, i enjoyed this book and looking forward to the sequel. i have never came across this kind of story and the dynamic reminds me of king's maker manhwa
