Author's This is a continuing series that follows the lives of the residents of Thistle Island throughout multiple books that are best read in order.
The Thistle Island series is fantastic! The stories are heartfelt and wonderful. Definitely start at #1, Harbor House and read them all. I’m anxiously awaiting #6, The Reunion!
I’m really enjoying this series as a whole, but this one felt like just a filler book to me. with the helen/john plot nicely wrapped up in the last book, I was expecting this one to wrap up everyone else’s stories, but nothing really happened other than setting up for yet another book. I honestly think this whole series could have been one book, especially with how much time is spent re-introducing the relationships between characters and the setting every time as if we haven’t read the previous books. I am still excited to see all of our characters get a happy ending, but this particular book was a bit of a let down tbh.
I am so glad there is one book left in this series. Otherwise, I would not know how every character’s story turns out. I would not be happy at all. I was worried after the last book that the main storyline was basically done. It kind of was, but not completely. The title of this one had me wondering about it until nearly the end. I love this series and its characters and am sad to see it come to the end. But I am sure I will savor every moment of the final installment.
Mia Kent definitely has a sure fire way of keeping her readers captivated and in the story. She seamlessly has your emotions rising and falling as you become more caught up with each character. You don't just feel every joy and sorrow, but believe and understand them. I've been captivated with this series since first starting it, and find myself devouring every book. Now with one final book left, I look forward to the reunion and seeing how it all ends.
In Mia Kent’s The Dance, the 5th in the Thistle Island Novel Series, the elderly Helen returns to England with the aid of Robyn and Levi to trace the last steps of her beloved John Sullivan. She finds peace as the younger generations attend a match party to look for love. There are some break-ups, some disappointments and some successful love stories in this ongoing saga. Good, descriptive writing by Author Kent.
This is where I agree so much with others who felt this series would have been better served a one long book - so that the need for repetition with what had gone before would be unnecessary. I found parts of this to be as lovely as the earlier books but parts I found boring. My least favourite in the series, which really needs to be read in order. I did however love the final book in the Thistle Island series.
Things are finally coming together for some of the character's. Robyn and Levi are growing closer. Helen has learned the truth about John. Claire and Robyns dad is finding happiness. The problem remains for Brooke, gas she waited to long to tell Owen how she feels. Will Claire stay on Whistle Island?
This love stories continue to unfold of all of the main characters and side characters in book #5. This book is all about knowing when to truly give love a chance, when it time to walk away and when to say goodbye to relationships from the past. It is a bittersweet book and the ending will leave you surprised.
Wow! He took the job!?!? Bring on The Reunion...ASAP!!!I
No matter how this series ends, it's Going to be bitter sweet to finish it. So glad I found it! Great story lines for each character that intertwine so nicely together. Love reading every minute of it!

Although predictable, sometimes that's just what one is seeking. More nuanced and well written.than most One can almost visualize the characters. Enjoyable read! Makes me want to get beside the ocean!
Well this book has it all and yet again had me in tears. I hope Brooke & Owen finally see that they are meant for each other. Fantastic series of books. 😍😍😍😍
It took me a bit longer to read as I was going through some grief and I didn’t want to read a book that might make me cry. But still loved this book and the characters and can’t wait to read the last one although that makes me sad
