I used this text as my class textbook for the Master's class I am teaching on assessment. This is the 4th edition. It needs to be updated again. Chapter 3's running records are no longer a valid assessment in reading and should move to just IRIs, lexiles, and decodables. Aside from that, it was an excellent book to use with my graduate literacy students.
