The Witch of the Forest’s Guide to… series are a collection of guides to different areas of witchcraft, focusing on the relationship between magic, the natural world, and the self. Other titles available include Earth Magick and Natural Magick.
A book in which astrology and simple witchcraft merge to help a person grow. While the information shared here in regards to the astrology is the basics nearly all beginner books include, the parts where it intersects with a person’s magical and spiritual practices is interesting. There were a few parts of the book that I would disagree on, having walked a magickal path myself for over half my life, but any good practitioner will tell you to take all information with a grain of salt. None of us will 100% agree on everything.
The best part of this book is the beauty of the illustrations. It’s easy to see how much thought was put into the images matching with the information. Simple and effective. The Witch of the Forest shares personal experiences in hopes of helping others to discover their own potential, and what is astrology for if not that? The book is a decent place to start, but lacking in depth for those who are looking for more.
