I really wanted to like this a lot more than I did. Maybe it was the translation I was reading, but there seemed to be a lot of non-sequitur episodes in the middle of the main plot. This is a cute slice of life, but there's minimal plot and relationship development. I really liked the two main characters' dynamic, but nobody is very well-developed here. The two love interests' personalities match well, but why are they together? What unites them aside from surface attraction? What do they bond over? There's little hints of it (such as Qiu Tong's loneliness and how Sun Jing brightens her day) but again, nothing is fleshed out that much.

I guess I was hoping this story would come with more character development.

Ik moet echt beginnen checken of mangas wel echt compleet zijn🥲. Deze manga heeft sadly niet echt een einde kunnen krijgen thanks to Chinese censorship wetgeving ofzo, maar ondertussen is de mangaka verhuist naar een ander land dus ik blijf hopen dat het ooit terug opgepakt wordt🤞🏻
