This book is a useful tool for introducing the topic of death and the loss of a loved one, however was not intended to answer the question in its entirety, after all, it is life's most enduring mystery. Where Do We Go was written and illustrated for readers aged 3 to 9, however, it is equally written for the adults who have an imagination all of their own.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I read it to my (four-year-old who shares the authors name) and the beautiful illustrations took me back to my childhood of reading picture books. This book provides a great jumping-off point to have open discussions with younger family members about what it means when someone close to them passes and it shows many examples of questions that are usually brought up while it is interesting to ponder what happens that it is just as important to live in the here and now 5 stars :D
