Having seen the robber's face, Minerva realizes she is in peril. This ruthless outlaw’s death stare is a warning in itself. He is prepared to follow her to the ends of the earth to stop her from identifying him.
The only thing she can do now is run for her life, but where to?
Dare she take the drastic step of becoming a mail-order bride to a stranger who may, or may not, be able to save her if the outlaw does find her?
Minerva appears to be a magnet for danger through no fault of her own, so who better to keep her safe than her very own hero Sheriff. Travis and Minerva are lovely characters with huge hearts and a sweet love and whilst Minerva seems to attract trouble, she doesn't let it crush her spirit. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
Minerva witnesses her parents murder and runs away so that she doesn't get killed. Then, she sees the same outlaw after he robs a bank and tries running away, again, but this time as a mail order bride. Unfortunately, this same outlaw decides to rob the train she's on and then kidnaps her. Her groom-to-be, is a sheriff, so when he finds out what happened, he gets a posse together to try and save her. Later in the story, Minerva gets kidnapped, again. I felt so sorry for Minerva, but her strong faith and the faith of her husband was unshakable.
This book is one that once you start reading you want to know what happens next so you keep on reading. It's fast-paced and a quick read, which is always a plus when you don’t always have a lot of reading time. I loved all the characters and enjoy watching each of them grow in friendship, faith, and love. But beware there is a lot of danger out there, especially for Minerva (I called her Minnie while reading lol). Good thing her new husband is a sheriff. Truly an answer to each other's prayers. This is a great book one that I am happy to suggest to other readers.
A new author to me but I want to read more of her books.
Minerva has witnessed her parents being killed and she knows the killer. She escapes to find a safe place but then she witnesses the same person robbing a bank. He knows she saw him and afraid for her life she packs all she has and goes to the mail-order bride office to find safety. She is sent away by train but then she finds her self in danger again. Will she escape this and find her happiness? Once I read the 1st page I couldn’t put it down. A good short read😀
This is a sweet, inspirational story encouraging the reader to reach out to God despite danger, want and an unknown future. Having experienced tragedy with the loss of her parents, Minerva struggled to make it on her own. But applying to be a mail order bride inspired a ray of hope until she was kidnapped enroute. Would her intended be able to find and rescue her? Or was she doomed to whatever fate her kidnappers intended?
Taking the journey to Montana seeing parts of the Big Sky was a beautiful ride. With bumps along the way with action packed scenes that kept you on the edge of your seat. With danger all around you don’t expect, a fast read that was heartwarming too. Filled with hurting hearts, broken pasts, finding love and trusting in God, a beautiful story you don’t want to miss.
Minerva is a beautifully paced and intensely engaging story that kept me hooked from start to finish. From the moment Minerva realizes she has seen too much, the tension is palpable, you can feel her fear, desperation, and courage in every decision she makes. The threat of the outlaw is chilling, and the sense of danger never lets up.
The best story by this author yet. I loved the story line and how everything unfolded. I was caught up pretty quickly in wanting to know what happened next and there were even a couple twists I wasn't expecting. This is a standalone read easily but fits well with the series.
Paulette D. Marshall is a master storyteller. As usual this book is heartfelt and keeps you reading. She gives us romance, humor, danger and a twist or two. A very enjoyable story.
I enjoyed the book! There was a lot of excitement and drama. I didn’t want to put it down. Through their faith in God, Minerva and Travis were able to overcome everything and fall In love. I highly recommend reading this book!
