The established powers of the world attempted to use their established methods of dealing with upstart powers that fail to immediately bend to their will against Akagawa Kaori. Other people in her position would have been forced to concede. But the Lich Queen of Risen Athelia showed to them, and the world, that she did not have that title just for show!
In the aftermath of her attacks on Russia and the United States, questions and accusations are flying. Nations humbled by an element outside their control attempt to claw back and find some way to save face. But the Lich Queen is not one to simply let others move against her unopposed. How will the world react to the sudden reveal of the strength of her armies? And will anyone be able to reign in the Lich Queen, if she decides she has had enough?
I'm a rookie author, looking to write stories that I enjoy writing. Not gonna get awards, but honestly, I'm happy with each and every person that reads my work.
Stuart is a sci-fi and anime geek, who dabbles in tabletop and video gaming. He enjoys cosplaying and has gone to DragonCon annually since 2009. Frozen Soul is his first book.
It is a sad, sad day when you finally break down and realize that you will never have the life you wanted, never do the things you wished to do, and never see the things you wanted to see. All because of a stupid lack of lightsabers.
I was a 26 y/o college student at Armstrong Atlantic State University, as a theater major. Went to school for a while before, dropped out, tried to go back, dropped out.. Not much to say other than the fact that I'm a laid back guy, and the only drama I like is the kind that's on the stage.
If I act like an idiot, or do anything to offend you, chances are it is not intentional, and I'm being oblivious. In that case, hit me upside the head, and tell me, because I don't catch subtle hints.
Okay. Didn't expect that, and yet I also kind of did.
After her confrontations with the governments of Russia and America, the Litch Queen is facing the fallout. But really, is anyone capable of standing against her. Those in power must acknowledge that they must use other means than direct assault. Then, she's asked to consult about the runes she has shared with her allies, and we get a surprise or two, as well as learning more about magic and the world.
I noticed it in the first book, but he really let his extremist freak flag fly in this one. Given all the warnings that Amazon gives, perhaps they should offer one up for his works??? It's a shame that his ideological purity comes before everything else in his life, and he can't just write a story free of this extremism that is tearing our society apart.
Not bad writing. It was interesting that the author had the protagonist go on a tirade about the many times the US government was involved in "bad" stuff. Yet somehow failed to point to other governments starting wars that resulted in the death of millions. It's kind of the ultimate cherry pick.
She kills 100k in Russia last book and nobody seems to give a shit.
No talk with the abducted sister is poor closure on that story line.
"It would be bad to sacrifice 100k people to maybe send the dragon home. Governments wouldn't like it."... Yeah, she litterally killed 100k last book...
Well, the OP part is in the title, so no way to complain here. Very fun read. The individual installments are quite short (can be easily read through in a single day), but also cheap - so in total worth my money.
