…we are gathered here today to witness zombie drag queens terrorize small town gay bars, oversexed Jackalopes challenge sanity, skin dealers sell satiety, vampiric lesbians cure what ails them, possessed Ouija boards and evil puppets haunt fans of the occult, and cult-creating club kids teach the children that anyone can be beautiful, but it takes real talent to be truly sickening.
In this 13-tale collection of dark fiction spanning a decade, Sèphera Girón and Andrew Robertson have selected their favourite frights, including new, previously published and alternate versions of their gravest hits.
Sèphera Girón is a multitalented artist with a background in stage, film, and music as well as writing. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Arts Studies with a minor in Psychology from York University and is the author of many books and short stories.
When Sephera isn't writing, she's a professional tarot card reader. She also holds Certificates in Reiki and Touch for Health.
In DEARLY DEPARTED, Sèphera Girón and Andrew Robertson trade off on storytelling duties & offer up 13 tales that veer from blackly funny, to gruesome, to horrifying. Each story is dark and imaginative, and some fun characters even make repeat appearances! Some stories made me squirm in the best, terrible way. Definitely some memorable stories here. Recommended for anyone that loves horror, but LGBTQ+ readers (like myself!) will also appreciate the refreshing queer content/characters/perspective.
