Climate Change - A biblical perspective on the controversy - Pocket Guide

What is the truth about climate change? Are the ice caps melting? Is man the chief cause of global warming? How does solar activity affect the earth's climate? What should Christians do about climate change? These and other questions are answered in this Pocket Guide to Climate Change. Presenting a balanced approach to climate change, experts in climatology and atmospheric science show why much of the hype and alarmism of the environmental movement is misplaced. Real science, eye-opening charts, and solid biblical truths provide answers to this "hot" topic.

A well written short source material by experts in the field with decades of research and experience, who also hold to a truly Christian worldview. I gleaned a lot of information unbeknownst to me and I truly understand now God at work sustaining His creation in this world He made for us. The leaders of the world who invest much money in areas that cause more detriment than good will give an account before the Great White Throne of the Lord YHWH God Almighty of hosts of armies. Eventually the final judgement will come and unprecedented cataclysmic phenomena will appear no human effort can evade or hault. In the meantime, I trust in God's providence that He provides common grace for all to maintain this world until He returns.
📜Matthew 24:22 And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

Not a particularly biblical or Christian perspective. Initially it demands a strict young earth creationism which fades into the background as authors other than Ken Ham take over. What remains is mostly just run-of-the-mill climate denial discussing science and data with the occasional discussion of stewarding the earth, caring for those less fortunate, or evidence of design (all of which I agree).

I think this kind of skepticism of climate change would have been operable 15 years or so ago, which is where most of the data used in this booklet curiously ends, but in the year 2026 I find this sorely untenable. All the graphs keep going up. Each year breaks more weather records than the last. It feels somewhat embarrassing to have high-profile Christian organizations and names still promoting this flimsy denial of clear evidence. Multiple times AiG admits that if what the scientists were talking about was happening, then it would be cause for concern. I hope under honest reflection of recent trends the authors can reconsider their positions. Significant human-caused climate change really does seem to be happening, and so it really is a cause for concern.
