Time and Time Again
When Steve and Sydney Fowler discover they are living in a complex and grossly manipulated simulation, Father, the architect fighting to end the corruption, tasks them to travel back in time to stop the rise of the prophesied antichrist.
The story begins as Steve encounters two peculiar strangers who warn him to stay away from a historic military bunker: a place he’s been inexplicably drawn to for years. Then, after a surprise encounter with a long-lost friend, who reveals the existence of a portal there, Steve decides to return and investigate.
Later, after carefully considering the ramifications of their 2022 departure, Steve and Sydney enter the portal together with an understanding that there is no other way to gain the initiative. Granted administrative privileges to alter coding within the simulation, they reemerge into their younger selves on the timeline reset to 1983.
Their peek behind the cosmic curtain revealed that earth is a proving ground for a change in regime, where a literal game of chess is being played between two grandmasters. Standing at the crux of that battle, the potential king-piece for either side, is Baer Hahn.
Armed with that knowledge, Steve and Sydney set out to find and befriend Baer, hoping to persuade him to follow his own path. Along the way, they discover others who have been designated by the Savior to help reveal the truth of the simulation to the world. But as the movement grows, they are aggressively targeted and forced to withdraw.
As zero hour draws nigh, Steve and Sydney can only sit and watch as Baer is poised to accept nomination as leader of the proposed new world order. Worshipped as a global peacemaker for his remarkable abilities to heal and unify, the opposing faction seems ready to crown their king and declare victory.
