December stepdad is abit of a douche even if he doesn't know it. Her sister helps her get a internship at Alaric company. The only problem is she's using her sisters name. But it takes Alaric 2.5 seconds to know these two did a switch, since he remembers meeting December few years back and she was a bright cute light for him now he's trying to figure out why she's using her sisters name. He pushes as she pulls away, trying to keep her secret. Until things take a turn when December sees something she shouldn't and goes to Alaric for help. They get closer and it's perfect he also stands up for her with her stepfather.

We also see Alaric brother and his love interest.

It may take them six years to find each other again, but the moment Alaric sees her everything clicks into place. He will protect her, defend her and ensure all her dreams are realised, and if she allows him to stand by her side whilst doing that he will be the happiest man on earth!
How can you resist him? Alaric truly is December's hero, this is a lovely, heartwarming read which I read on Kindle Unlimited.

Alaric gets his own Christmas elf

Last year, when I read Blaze and Georgia’s Christmas romance, I really hoped Alaric, Blaze’s brother, would get his own HEA. Bonus points that he fell for their awkdorable intern!

Alaric felt a connection to December several years before, when they met during a dark and sad time of his life. When he feels the same connection to his new intern Jillian, he knows she isn’t who she says she is. Alaric sets out to find out who Jillian really is and why she’s pretending.

I absolutely love strong, smart, but awkward heroines that seemingly manage to find every trip hazard in their path. It makes the men that fall in love with them even more dreamier and $exier than the author writes them. This is December and her man, Alaric. These two were funny, sweet and hot together, and I would have gobbled up two hundred more pages had Nichole Rose decided to write them.

Steamy, sweet and OTT protectiveness, what more could you ask for?! Once again, Nichole Rose delivers in this perfect holiday story. Alaric and December were made for each other, and although they met briefly 6 years prior, they never forgot each other in one way or another. I loved how protective he was of her and how he loved her for exactly who she was, faults and all. And December was just a beautiful soul who really came into her own. The dialogue between Alaric and his brother Blaze (MMC of Naughty Little Elf) was hilarious and I love that we saw glimpses from his story. Dual virgins, mild breeding kink, OTT alpha and no cheating or OM/OW drama. Can’t wait to read Sariah and Jillian’s (I’m hoping) stories!

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Alaric and December met six years ago, but she was only seventeen. Alaric's mom was diagnosed with cancer and December made him laugh at a time he didn't think he could. December offered Alaric hope in a time he didn't think he could. They haven't seen each other since that night. December's step sister Jillian gets an internship at Daphne Parrish & Co, because she knows her sister wants it. Their father doesn't want December to go for the internship she he doesn't help her but helps Jillian. December's step-sister Jillian give the internship over to her, she doesn't want it and tells her that she only applied because she wanted her sister to have it. After December goes to work Daphne Parrish & Co Alaric discovers that it's not Jillian but December so he wants to talk to her. December is finishing up paperwork with HR when she is called to Alaric office. Alaric tries to get December to tell him it's her but she doesn't. Alaric takes December with him when he needs to go sample the hors d'oeuvres for their Christmas party. He tries to get it out of her why she is lying to him and pretending to be her sister, Jillian. Alaric informs December that she will accompany him to the Christmas Party. December finds out if her step-father, Cody will be attending the party, she tells Alaric that she doesn't want to be photographed. Alaric gives December a necklace, a guardian angle to wear, he tells her for six years she has been his light, thinking about her comforted him. December leans in and kisses him, then he pleasures her. After they arrive at the party and Alaric's brother Blaze Naughty Little Elf is playing Santa, they talk to a few people. Alaric asks December what she wants for Christmas, after a few interruptions she finally tells him she wants him. Alaric asks her to come home with him, but then he tells her he'll endorse her father if that's what will keep her in his bed. December can't believe that he just bribed her, she tells him to let her go, she jerks away from him. December tells him she didn't do this for an endorsement, she wanted him. Alaric tries to reach for her but December turns and runs from him, he tells her not to run from him. December tells him she's going home alone. When Alaric finally arrives at December's apartment, her sister Jillian answers the door, and tells him she doesn't want to see him. Alaric tells Jillian she needs to talk to her, but Jillian tells him he's said enough. Alaric tells Jillian he didn't mean the way it came out she asks him how he meant it. Alaric tells Jillian he'd give December the world, he'll protect her from everything. Jillian asks him if he's in love with December, but Alaric doesn't say anything the first person who needs to hear it is December. Jillian tells Alaric why December pretended to be Jillian. Jillian tells Alaric that her dad treats them both differently, because his career is more important than his family. Alaric leaves but he tells Jillian to tells December he'll see her tomorrow. Before Alaric goes Jillian tells him it was her idea not December's. Alaric asks Jillian who the sketches belong to and she tells him they're all December's. The next day Jillian and December talk about Alaric stopping by. Jillian tells her sister not to let him slip through her fingers just because she afraid. December shows up for clean up duty at Daphne Parrish & Co, Alaric doesn't come. Her co-workers ask her if she can go to the warehouse then give her the code. When December gets to the warehouse it's dark, and creepy. She races across the parking lot and falls scraping her knee. She enters the code and flips the light switch, December wonders around looking in boxes and peaking at the latest fashion. December hears the alarm on the warehouse door and freezes, she hears a man's voice say to cut the lights. December does her best to hide away, she hears the man tell other to grab as much as they can so they can get out of there. After the men leave, December is too afraid to move, when she finally crawls out of hiding she runs to Alaric. Alaric spends all day looking into December's step-father, and then he needs to make it up to her. When his doorbell rings and he opens the door and he knows something is wrong. December asks him to hold her, he sees she's pale, and shaking. Alaric scoops her into his arms and carries her inside to his bedroom. Alaric gets a fire going and grabs a first aide kit for her knee. He asks her how hurt her and she tells him she fell. December tells him he needs to call the police she came straight to him. Alaric asks her what happened and she tells him, he asks her if they hurt her and she tells him no. December tells him she's sorry about last night, she's sorry she ran. He tells her he doesn't care she thought he was trying to bride her. December tells him that's not why she ran, she's in love with him she thinks she's been in love with him for six years. December confesses everything to him and why she wanted to work at Daphne Parrish & Co. Alaric tells her her step-father will never treat her that way again. The police come and question December, but then Alaric has to kick them out. December asks Alaric if his offer is still good for her to stay with him, then she tells him she wants him. Alaric tells her he's hers he was just waiting for her to realize it. The stumble up the stairs striping one another of their clothes. The don't make it to the bedroom before Alaric is pleasuring her. Alaric carries her to a set of chairs just outside his bedroom and they make love. Then Alaric tells December he loves her. The next morning before six December's step-father Cody is calling her, Alaric takes the phone from her. Alaric tells Cody to be at his office at nine if he wants to see December. They shower then head to the office, as they ride the elevator up to Alaric office he pleasures her. December asks him if she can spend Christmas with him, he tells her she's spending all of her Christmases with him. December's step-dad is waiting on them when they make it to Alaric's office. December tells Cody how he made her feel her whole life, she tells him if she's not good enough to be his daughter then she's done with him. Cody tells December he didn't write a letter for her because she's not meant to work for someone else, she has the skill to create her own line. Cody tells her that despite what she thinks of him he's never been less proud to call her his daughter. Cody tells her he messed up, and that's on him. Cody tells December he's going to fix things then press a kiss to her head and leaves. Alaric tells her he loves her and December tells him she loves him too. He tells her he's taking her someplace for Christmas and they'll be leaving tomorrow. She tells him she has to work, but he tells her she's sleeping with the owner she can do what she wants. Alaric tells December he wants to add each individual designer to their label to give them credit. The he offers December a job, because his brother and him decided she's a terrible intern. Alaric pleasures her then they make love. Christmas morning Alaric wakes up December, she asks him if Santa came. Alaric tells her to open her eyes and see. When she does he points to a little box on her nightstand. As she does Alaric whispers in her ear to marry him. December tells Alaric to get busy getting her pregnant, then she tells him yes she'll marry him. Alaric invites Blaze, Georgia and Jillian to dinner. The girls sit on the couch whispering to one another, when December spills some wine, Alaric tells her it's alright it's just wine. Alaric is happy, he got what he wanted for Christmas, a future with December. For the rest of his life he'll fight for her, he'll love her everyday, exactly like he was meant to do. Alaric has never been happier. Five years later, December goes into labor with their third child, she's hoping it's a boy since they have two sons. Things between December and her step-father, Cody have improved over the years. Cody remarried three years ago, December and Jillian both adore her. A few hours later a nurse lays their daughter and December's chest. The nurse asks if they picked out a name and December tells her Noelle. Alaric tells December she's perfect, his two angels.

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.

December is the step daughter of the mayor, she is clumsy and always says the wrong thing at the wrong time. She feels she can’t do anything right in her dad’s eyes. Jillian is her bestie and step sister the two have a sweet sisterly bond that sometimes gets December into trouble. Like now, Jillian has been offered an internship at a fashion house, December had asked her dad for the recommendation for the internship but he turned her down and instead gave it to Jillian. So Jillian takes the job but puts December’s picture as the employee pic. December isn’t sure it’s a good idea but she 1) really wants to work for the fashion house, she’s an amazing designer and 2) she would get to be near her crush Alaric. The two met many years ago at a gala, Alaric was sad because he had found out his mother was very sick, December helped cheer him up, made him laugh, let him forget his family problems for a few moments. He had thought of her as his shining light. When he sees her picture on the internship application he knows that it’s December and not Jillian. He hasn’t forgotten her and now sees what a beautiful woman she is and his attraction is instant. He asks for her to be sent to his office where he tries to get her to confess but she doesn’t crack. His methods were pretty sexy but December holds strong. He corners her a few days later and tells her she will be his date to the company holiday party. Before the party he gives her an orgasm and tells her he’s a virgin too. When Alaric mentions her dad she’s reminded of her deception and she flees the party, Alaric goes to her apartment and he and Jillian talk. He finds out how the mayor treats her bad and is mad. He starts looking into the mayor who is clean, just clueless how his treatment of his daughters hurt them. A robbery at the warehouse sends December to Alaric and they have their first time together. They later confront her dad and he is remorseful of his treatment but tells her he does believe in her, he didn’t want her working for someone else, she’s talented enough to be her own designer. Lots of I love yous, a proposal, and epilogue with a third baby, a girl after two boys.
It was weird no one was concerned about the theft of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of designer clothes. And instead of calling the police she runs to Alaric who isn’t phased by the robbery at all. He’s more worried that she fell and skinned her knee.

When she lost her mom and had no other family to go to, December Rhett stayed with her stepdad, Corey Rhett, and her stepsister, Jillian Rhett. She adored her stepsister, they now shared an apartment. Jillian wanted December to feel good about herself. She knew her dad always made, December feel like an outsider. It made the things that, December couldn't control in the first place stand out more, and happen more often. She became even more nervous in trying to prevent it from happening. You know, the catch-twenty-two effect.

December talked with, Cory and asked for help securing the internship at, Daphne Parrish & Co. He for the most part ignored her. However, Jillian asked him to help secure the same internship opportunity, he jumped right in to help open doors to get her in. At the hottest plus-size fashion house in, Los Angeles. Then again, he wants to make friends with, Alaric and, Blaze Parrish, not enemies, and he's afraid she will screw everything up for him. Alaric and, Blaze are billionaires who've taken the world by storm. They took over the company after their mother, Daphne, died five years ago.

"He isn't taking something else from you just because you aren't the perfect freaking mouthpiece for his stupid career," she growls, her eyes flashing fire. "You've worked your butt off for this internship. You earned it. If he won't pull strings to get you in the door, you'll go in as me." So, looks like Jillian’s plan was for, December to play her during winter break. Jillian’s dad may not believe in, December, but, Jillian's faith hasn't ever wavered. Not once. It can’t be bad. It's my, Christmas present to you.

You can’t say no to a, Christmas gift. "Criminal impersonation isn't a gift, Jill,"
When it's a long-term dream it is. That you’ve been dying to go to work for, and for, Alaric Parrish, in particular. Corey, he's the freaking mayor. Jillian is vivacious and graceful and can make a friend out of anyone. December is clumsy and awkward. You never know what she is going to say or do next. Maybe that, wouldn't be a problem if her dad, Cory, wasn't a career politician. However, he was and, December inadvertently made it harder for him since, she was a little girl.

He loves her, but, December thinks he wishes she were more like, Jillian and less like herself. Both girls are beautiful and curvy. She never failed to turn heads. But, she never looked, not since the party her father threw when she was seventeen. And she had needed air and had gone out to the gardens and there in the shadows was, Alaric. He was looking so sad, but somehow she made him laugh before he left he kissed her on the cheek. A few days later with the rest of the world, she found out her mom had cancer, and a year later she passed away.

Before she can talk herself out of, Jillian’s hair-brain idea, Jillian tells her she starts, TOMORROW. She shores herself up and gets ready for her day. What she doesn't know is that Alaric gets sight of her application, and realizes that she’s not Jillian but, in fact, December. She has to admit she is excited, she is so happy her sister has so much faith in her but worried, Alaric, 1. Will remember her, and toss her out. 2. Not remembering her which will break her heart.

This is a sexy read. Fast-paced, and a lot of action, too. This is a gap age, sisters who love one another enough to do anything for one another, and dads who are willing to change for a real relationship with their daughters.

So, I love Nichole Rose and I did enjoy this novella but part of me had this nagging question since the beginning of the novel that dimmed my enjoyment.
This is the story of Alaric and December. They met one night at a party 6 years ago, he was sad and melancholic because his mother was diagnosed with a terminal illness, and she cheered him up, made him smile and laugh. He thanked her, kissed her cheek and left.
December always was attracted to him, since that night but he just sees her as a 'light in the darkness'. Sweet for some, to me who thought this would be insta love since they met, not so much. He never had feelings for her until they meet again 6 years later. Would he have gone after her to find her if she never worked for his plus size women fashion industry? No. Six years is a long time, and although there is a scene that shows that we have double virgins, it still bothered me a little that he never even thought to find her, or go after her. Once he saw her again though, his 'I want her forever alpha came out'......but for me it was just *eye roll* about damn time!

h met H at 17 and the story starts when she is 23ish, she is a plus size fashion designer.
H I think is in his late twenties, early 30s, he is a billionaire and CEO of a plus size fashion house, with his brother Blaze (more on him later....)
Long separation for her (6 years) since she didn't stop having strong feelings for him and those feeling have not ebbed.
NO insta love, otherwise he would have chased her down after the first time they met, chatted and kissed her cheek, but he didn't so that was the part that bothered me and that disappointment carried through the whole novella.
I love Nichole Rose, but I will not be reading this novella again. Blaze and Georgia however, I am looking forward to, She is a model that works there and the two are in love with each other, but Blaze is moody and Georgia seems skittish. I am curious and looking forward to their story!

Alaric and December were destined to be together, it just took six years and the right timing for it to happen. Jillian, December’s step-sister, submitted her application to intern at the hottest fashion house in LA. Only, she submitted it with December’s photo and designs. Knowing it could end in disaster, December still decides to take this opportunity. She’s always wanted to work at Daphne Parrish & Co, partly because she designs clothes but mostly so she can see Alaric Parrish again.

Alaric never forgot the angel he met six years ago. December was a light for him at a really dark time. So, of course he recognizes her when her file comes across his desk and he instantly knows she’s lying about her identity. But why? Is she there in the hopes of helping her stepdad gain more supporters in his race for governor? Whatever her reasons, Alaric throws out his concerns the moment he’s face to face with December again.

Alaric and December were both all in the moment they reconnected. Add a little heartache and drama (from outside forces) and we really see that Alaric will do anything to keep his angel safe. And in her darkest moment December knows the only place she feels safe is in Alaric’s arms. 💜

Mixed feelings about this. I love this author, love Christmas smut, and loved the idea of this book. I loved that he knew who she was from the beginning and went right after her. HOWEVER, if you’re going to make a character a virgin I need a little believability. A clumsy, plus sized 23ish year old daughter of an overbearing mayor I can get behind being a virgin. An older (no age was given) man who chooses to stay a virgin for an unknown reason but is somehow a sex god is too much for me. He brings up nipple clamps before their first time and she says she’s wants them and he says not your first time. Does he have a stash of sex toys he’s kept for his future sexcapades? I love a good dual virgin story but I need the H especially to at least have a little bit of a learning curve. A virgin doesn’t go straight for nipple clamps and butt stuff. Give me a little uncertainty, shyness, or fumbling at least the first time. Please.

Tempted by December is a great fast and steamy read that is a perfect escape for the holidays. December's stepdad did not seem to be supportive of her dream, when she asked for help he turned her down, but when his own daughter asked for help with the same job, he jumped at the chance.

December started the job as her stepsister, but the problem was Alaric, one of the owners knew who December was. Alaric found December to be calming from the moment he met her those years ago and was on his mind. When she started working for him, he was not going to let her go.

Tempted by December is hot and steam holiday romance that warms your heart and lights up your night with the electric chemistry between Alaric and December.

Now, December is his new assistant who is hiding her identity… but the moment Alaric sees her photo, he knows who she is. His light in the dark.

This was a cute read with some funny moments and spice. I only wish it was spicier 😅😆

Alaric can't seem to forget December even after 6 years. When she happens to become an intern at his design firm, he can't wait to see if they share the same spark. December is an accident waiting to happen and to make it worse, she had to pretend to be her step-sister just to get in the door. Alaric realizes right away that she is not Jillian and will do anything and everything to make her his, but her step-father is a big obstacle that Alaric didn't plan for. I love this book. I'm so happy Alaric got his happy ending like Blaze and Georgia.

6 years in the making!!!

Loved this holiday story and I can’t wait for more from this series. December’s sister Jillian applies for an internship for her without her knowing. Only problem is it’s under Jillian’s name, and it’s with her favorite design house. The same design house owned by Alaric. Someone she has crushed on for years.

Alaric figures it out on day one and works his way towards making December his. He doesn’t care what stands in his way or that she is the clumsiest intern they have ever had. They were cute together and I loved that he helped her stand up to her stepdad.

Alaric and December met 6 years ago at a party both never forgetting the other. December's sister fibs on December's application for an internship at Alaric's fashion company. He knows right from the beginning she is lying about her identity but December continues to deny it. She has her reasons why she won't tell him. December had some challenges but through it all Alaric was by her side supporting, protecting and loving her.

Love it!

This was such a sweet and funny story with hints of spice. December and Alaric still have feelings for each other after meeting briefly at a party several years before. It was a dark time for Alaric and December brought light into his life when he couldn't find it himself. They reconnect when December gets an internship at his company with the help of her well-intentioned, but somewhat mischievous stepsister.
I love that Nichole Rose's books are sweet, light, and funny, but have substance. I can always count on her for a good story with lovable, growly Alpha males and strong, sweet women who give as good as they take.
I would definitely recommend.

Alaric was a refreshing hero for me. He was gregarious and charming, giving his grumpy brother a hard time. He knew who December really was from the beginning, remembering her from years ago. They met once, during a dark time in his life and she made a huge impact. December has carried a torch for this man since they met. She dreamed of working for his company and her stepsister makes it happen. She is so sweet, she deserves to have her dreams come true. Fortunately, that is all Alaric wants to do. Sweet, steamy story with off the charts chemistry, an OTT protective hero, a little danger, some family drama and a wonderful HEA. Totally gripping story from the beginning and it only got better!

When December hears that Alaric's company is sponsoring an internship for designers she wants in. One thing leads to another where she joins the program under false pretenses.

This is a great story featuring lovers that finally come to their specific time! I loved Alaric's love for December is so warm, hot and endless!

One of the best holiday books I've read so far. This author rarely disappoints with her characters or stories. The chemistry between December and Alaric was great and the plot was wonderful. December was portrayed as a real character with flaws and struggles but Alaric was shown the same way. I loved the follow up to Blaze and Georgia because I loved their story. This was a great book from start to finish.

This was another great story by Nichole. I loved Alaric, he was exactly what December needed. Also her step sister Jillian stepping in so December can get her dream was amazing. I loved how supportive and loving she was for December. Alaric was a wonderful mix of playful and determined to win December. Him never forgetting her and realizing who she was from the start made this so fun since December was determined to continue the lie. Great characters, great plot and wonderful HEA.

Aww. This was a hot but cute Christmas present

December is the awkward, clumsy stepdaughter of the mayor. When the only way he'll endorse her internship at the fashion house she's dreamed of working for is to pose as her sister, she underestimates the co-owners long interest in her. Alaric remembers December well. And he's determined to make her his.

This was a hot and adorable novella, perfect for Christmas (or even a dreary January when you have the post-Christmas blues!)

Worthy ~

I loved this story. I enjoyed the sisters bond, they way they loved each other and took care of each other, only wanting the other to be happy. The sister helped her get her dream internship. There was some other family drama, their fast falling in a forever kind of love, his fierce protectiveness of her, and giving each other their Christmas wish. Loved the epilogues.
