Hank Baker, Questing Knight, hath made his mark upon fair Lupercalia! He hath felled mighty foes and recovered plentiful treasures, but a Questing Knight’s duties are endless: destroying more of the Moon Goddess’ enemies and cleansing the taint from Her holy places. Only then shall he be able to craft his Moon Sword and become a Knight of the Realm.
Hank and his lovely maidens will uncover arcane secrets of a vast vampiric conspiracy against the Kingdom and Moon Goddess. Untested and unproven, Hank shan’t be trusted by the King or other knights unless he shall obtain more evidence, but sinister forces of darkness will do anything to stop him and his glorious quest.
There's way too much mundane slice of life stuff in this book and not enough adventuring. The party is constantly shifting back and forth "magically" to go shopping and buy things. I just don't care about the mansion in New Jersey, the moon bean estate, the trip to the bank, or Whole Foods. In the first book it was said that direwolves should spend as much time as possible with their owners, but throughout the book Casanova is being ignored. Hank's shifter powers are being ignored too. Every time they travel he's blasted out of his mind on speed potion so we don't get to learn anything new about Lupercalia. I came really close to DNF-ing this book.
You've come across fantasy books with knights and Monsters. You've probably even read books about Werewolves and shapeshifters.
But what if you combined the two? A world where werewolves were the knights and protectors of a fantasy realm?
That exactly what these books are! And continuing in from the first book, Hank and his cohort are investiture mysteries of the encoded notebook and a bigger plot against the Kingdom of Lupercalia.
And with how things are going, I'm looking forward to book 3!
This was a nonstop fast paced adventure from the moment you crack the book open, as always the characters drive this story as you explore the world with them! I eagerly await the next one!
Good followup. More of a quest feeling in this one. Trying to figure out what the vamp ment at end if last book. Some action in both worlds and a little bit of action. Looking forward to the next book.
Book two did not disappoint!!! Another excellent fast paced, humorous fantasy adventure!!! As always interesting magic, fantasy characters and lot of adult fantasy activities!!

The second book in the series continued the story well. The new world compares well with earth. The travel back and forth with the moon bean business makes things better.
After reading the first book, I found the plot, premise, and story intriguing. After reading this book, I find the the story drawing me in, making me desire me
