What better Christmas present is there than a second chance at your first love?
Omega reindeer shifter Alvin was fired from his modeling gig right before Christmas. Sure, he was “modeling” as his reindeer self and refused to eat the poisonous leaf a child insisted was their present for Santa’s friend, but still…being fired sucked. It double sucked this year given he needed the money for a new hot-water tank. To keep from letting it get him down, he applied for every seasonal job he could find. His luck had to turn around —it was the most wonderful time of the year, after all.
Alpha wolf shifter Blaine thought buying a small farm was the solution to all his problems after going rogue. Berries in the summer, Christmas trees for the holidays, maple syrup in the late winter, and none of the political BS that came with his old pack life. What could be better than that? Not having your best employee deciding to move to a warmer climate just as the Holiday season began. That’s what.
When Alvin applies for the position, Blaine is taken aback. Last time he saw the reindeer shifter they were both teens and so helplessly crushing on each other that it was palpable. His pack put an end to that, but they weren’t in his life anymore and maybe…just maybe…this could be the second chance he’d always wanted.
Love at Frost Bite: Alvin is a sweet with heat M/M mpreg shifter Christmas romance featuring a wolf who broke away from his pack to find his future, the reindeer shifter who never forgot said wolf’s kindness, winter s’mores, a Christmas tree three sizes too big, warm socks, snuggles by the fire, a furry holiday surprise, true love, Christmas magic, and a guaranteed happy ever after. If you like your shifters horn-y, your omegas hawt, your mpreg with heart, and your HEAs complete with true mates and a bundle of joy, one-click book one in the highly anticipated multi-author series Mated to His Reindeer today.

Ok standard disclaimer, I have no idea why I'm reading every book in this series as soon as its released. I may be a pod person.
In here we have Alvin the omega reindeer and Blaine the mono er, I mean wolf shifter. When they were 15, they met and knew they were mates, but Blaine's father and pack made him break up with the reindeer boy cruelly and eventually Blaine became a rogue wolf.
Alvin is in dire straights and looking for a job, he goes to the Christmas tree farm to apply and finds out that Blaine owns it. Within days, they are mated.
That was the whole story and that was done by 37%. The rest of the book was jus slice of life until the baby comes.
It was a quick read and I enjoyed it but like a few other collabs by this writing group, for some odd reason, the first few chapters will have a whole repetition of what just happened. I dunno why, but it happens. In this one it was the chapter about what happened to Blaine in regards to Alvin.
This was a short quick cute read that I liked. Alvin is an omega reindeer shifter who first met Blaine who is an alpha wolf shifter when he was in high school. Blaine walks Alvin home to keep him from getting bullied. When Blake's father told b him he can't see Alvin anymore he is hurt and he stands Alvin up for their date and both of them end up hurt. Fast forward 15 years Alvin is in need of a job after he gets fired from modeling in his reindeer form when he goes to a farm to apply for a job and he gets a shock the owner of the farm is Blaine. This was a good read Blaine left his pack after he realized his father lied to him he couldn't deal with pack politics. These two realize that they ate fated mates and they begin getting to know each other again. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book.
I always love stories from Lorelei Hart and this one was no different. I enjoyed following Alvin and Blaine as they got their second chance at love. Definitely worth reading.
Love at Frost Bite: Alvin is part of the ‘Mated to His Reindeer’ collection. This stars Alvin, an omega reindeer, and Blaine, an Alpha wolf shifter. This is told in first person from both Alvin and Blaine’s pov.
The blurb gives a good idea about what the plot is about, so I won’t go over that. I will review the writing style and characters however. I’ve read many books by this writing team, and this follows the same themes. Insta-lust or insta-love, fluffy, little conflict, little world-building, and a HEA. In terms of sticking to their brand of Alpha/omega stories, this book is like their other ones.
I love Christmas stories and eagerly await this time of year to read the new ones that come out. This story unfortunately left me disappointed. I expect a book to be well written, not just tick off the tropes I like, and this one doesn’t measure up to this team’s other stories. Let me count the ways.
1) The plot is very predictable and has no conflict. Yes, there’s the supposed conflict of Blaine and Alvin meeting and separating while young, but it’s quickly solved when they meet each other again. Alvin’s reindeer wants to be with Blaine again, so Alvin instantly forgives Blaine even though he was devastated when Blaine never showed up long ago. Ergo, no conflict. The rest of the story continues with the two men doing everyday stuff and having a baby. This creates a flat landscape of bland activities without excitement.
2) The writing is all tell and no show. It’s almost all monologue from each characters’ pov. The scenes would go something like this: The two men have a few lines of dialogue, say about having a snowman party, then instead of the authors describing the scene with feelings and emotions, they had one of the characters monologue about what they were doing. It would go like this, “We put on our coats, mittens, and clothes because it was cold outside. We didn’t know what kind of snowmen we should make so we discussed it, then we rolled snowmen and had a snowball fight and laughed.” That was all in an internal monologue by one character. There’s no feeling or emotion in that type of scene, there’s no pulling into the scene for readers to become a part of. All the scenes were like this, flat, unemotional, just description. Clearly from the ratings, other readers don’t care if the scenes are flat and telling, but I expect better writing, and for authors to pull me into scenes and the characters’ feelings, and this book didn’t do that.
3) Both character voices sounded the same. This is a problem this author team has yet to improve on. It’s an issue in all their books, some more than others, and this one was exceptionally poor. Even though the chapters were designated with the characters’ names to indicate whose pov it was, it didn’t help. Once past the first page, the MC voice sounded exactly like the character from the previous chapter. I had to keep checking back to see whose pov the chapter was in.
Love at Frost Bite: Alvin fit the holiday theme, was fluffy, and a fast read. If that’s what a reader cares about, then they’ll probably think this is an okay read. I found this story bland, with no conflict. It has far too much monologue with characters telling what they’re doing rather the authors writing to draw me in with feelings. Lastly, both characters’ voices were the same, creating confusion when the pov switched, the voices had nothing unique about them. I wish this had been a better written book, but it’s not and I didn’t find it memorable. I give this story, 2 Stars, and don’t recommend it.

I enjoyed reading Alvin and Blaine's story. After initially being broken up and broken hearted, fate brought them back together, better than ever: Alvin and Blaine 2.0. A cute, sappy, low angst love story easily devoured. Ready to read the rest.

When Alvin and Blaine were younger they figured that they were mates, Blaine would walk him home from school and planned to go ice skating as the first date. But Blaine’s father wouldn’t let him go and told him that if he would continue to see Alvin the family would be kicked out of the pack because his father was the beta. Finally Blaine left the pack and did construction work saving his money still wanting Alvin, bought a farm the Holiday Farm he needed help for Christmas tree time his help quit to be with his mate. Alvin was working as a reindeer model but he was told not to come back as he had no antlers and wouldn’t eat toxic leaves. This book is part of the series Mated to His Reindeer but each book is independent of the others. This is the story of Alvin and Blaine. Alvin is an omega reindeer shifter. Luckily the tree farm needs help. Unluckily, he walks into his teenage heartache when he shows up. This is their story. This book is well written and easy to read. In this book we meet Alvin & Blaine. Alvin the reindeer thought he had finally found a friend with the hopes of something more. He however is left behind when Blaine just ditches him. Now 5 years later he is looking for a new job and goes to one only to find that it is Blaine's farm. When he learns what really happened he wonders if they will have a chance again. Blaine has always wanted his mate and the one that he can't forget is the one he is sure he can't have. When Alvin comes to the farm Blaine thinks this might be his second chance. Can they find a HEA or will the problems in the past cause problems in the future?
Another amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Pack politics always have a way of causing more harm than goo. In this case, Blaine and Alvin missed out on so many years of possibilities.
Blaine is an alpha wolf shifter and living life separate from his old pack. During the holidays, he's left in a situation that requires immediate 'help wanted'.
Guess who will answer the call.
Omega reindeer shifter, Alvin, ended up in a position of needing new employment. To his surprise, he ended lands at the front door of the man who broke his heart.
Despite a little surprise and reluctance, they fell into an easy routine of making their lives what it could've been and so much more. Including new friends, a thriving and family.

This was just what I needed after a long day: a sweet, fluffy, insta-love story about fated mates. Alvin and Blaine were cruelly separated after becoming friends when they were both 15. Apparently wolves and reindeers don't mix. Fifteen years later, the two are reunited when Alvin needs a job and applies at Blaine's farm. They instantly feel the connection that was only beginning to form when they were younger. Fate finally brought them back together when they both needed each other. I enjoyed how they spent their days working together. I also liked how they continued special traditions from Alvin's fathers on their time off.
Wolf and reindeer reunited at last. Fate always finds a way.
This is the perfect sappy, cuddley, adorable Christmas story! I was swept up in their lives from the first pages. Everything is so bright and vivid, easy to visualize. I love Alvin and Blaine. I felt their hurt and their love. I also fell in love with Holiday Farms. The Christmas trees, the Cocoa Shack. Now I want reindeer marshmallows in my hot Cocoa. Add really hot sex and an adorable baby and you have one fantastic story. Ooh. And a snowman family, a cute kitten, and a protective Maine Coon cat. You are gonna love this book! Get. It. Now!
Right place, right time, right person finally. Alvin, omega reindeer was having difficulties. When he was younger, he crushed on his friend, Blaine, alpha wolf from the Rueston pack. Family, intervened and put a stop to their budding friendship. They both morned the loss. When the next meet, time has passed and they each took different paths in life. Can they rekindle their feelings? Can Alvin forgive Blaine ghosting him? Can Blaine earn Alvin's forgiveness? Good story. Good flow, good characters the good and the questionable. A few bumps, but they smooth out. Nicely done. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Alvin, an omega reindeer shifter, searches for a new job at Christmastime and finds himself facing his first love who broke his heart, Blaine, an alpha wolf shifter. The pair are still drawn to one another, and Alvin quickly realizes that teenage Blaine had only been following his pack’s rules when he deserted Alvin. Now the pair have a second chance to find their happiness together in this sweet MM Christmastime shifter romance. Love how all the books in the series feature reindeer shifters. This was such a fun read!
I love low-angst Mpreg stories, even more so around the holidays, and this story did not disappoint. It starts 15 years ago when Alvin, a reindeer shifter, and Blaine, a wolf shifter, meet and fall in love. Circumstances force them apart until fate brings them back together again. How they get to their HEA is a very cute story, and I really like that we get to see how their story evolves through the years, with lots of chemistry, a cute kid, pets, and the like. Highly recommend!

Alvin is a reindeer shifter and Blaine is a wolf shifter. They meet in the woods and the more they're together the more they care for each other. When they're suppose to go on their first date Blaine never shows up. Blaine's father lies to him and says the family will be disowned by the pack. Fifteen years later, Alvin needs a job and goes to apply at Holiday Farms and who is the boss, Blaine. Blaine knows that this is his second chance and he's going to do everything to get Alvin's love. I really enjoyed this book.
** Holiday/Christmas ** Quick easy read ** Shifter Reindeer/wolf pairing ** Mpreg ** First love ** Second chance ** Insta love/lust ** Family interference ** Fluffy ** Sweet but nothing really happens ** Likeable MCs... Alivin & Blaine ** Could have used some drama ** Satisfying ending ** 3 Stars but just ** Part of a Multi Author series ** Can definitely be read as a stand-alone
Alvin and Blaine knew each other when younger. Young love squelched before it could get started. Blaine's family got in the way and made it clear that he had to pick family over Alvin. Now, as adults Alvin is struggling to get the extra money he needs for a hot water tank. He applies to different jobs and one lands him at Blaine's. This is a really sweet second chance with fated mates and cute kittens. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Love at frost Bite: Alvin - is a sweet second chance shifter story that will make you smile and warm your heart as Alvin and Blaine find their way back together and the love they felt when they were younger.
Alvin and Blaine's story is a fun read with a few bumps but an entertaining ride and perfect to get lost in by a fire.

This one had so much potential for dramatic tension. Seeing it fizzle out by around 30% and never recover was quite a disappointment. Also, there were a couple of things that are kind of skipped over in the book that could have added more understanding to the story. Like Alvin's past, which is very glossed over in comparison to Blaine's. I feel like I was offered hot cocoa got sweet brown water instead. Sugary but weak and without depth
This was a really nice simple read. It didnt need a ton of things going on all over the place and did well as just a personal little slice of life for Blaine and Alvin.
I was a little concerned at first with the pregnancy occurring later in the story, worried it would be glossed over too quickly. But that didnt happen. It took just enough time to make it worth it.
I’ve enjoyed every book in the Love at Frost Bite series and this one was no exception.
Alvin and Blaine were sweet together. Years apart didn’t change how they felt about each other. A sweet story about new beginnings, new traditions and falling in love all over again.

An interfering parent tears Alvin and Blaine apart when they were in their teens. Years later they are reunited when Alvin answers an ad for help on a farm and comes face to face with Blaine. Will Alvin have the courage to tell Blaine what really happened all those years ago? Will Blaine and Alvin get their second chance?
This was the most heartwarming story! From both boys’ heartbreak at being separated to the sweetest reunion and subsequent relationship, it gave off all the best holiday vibes and feelings. Perfect for a cozy read by the fire.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Alvin and Blaine were separated by pack politics which Blaine finds out later were false. Fate steps in and they find each other again and mate as they always wanted. I liked that each kept the gifts that they made each other before.
Oh this book hurt my heart! I thought Blaine and Alvin were wonderfully sweet together with their longing, and years withstanding love. My heart broke for these two but boy was it so happy the Blaine and Alvin got a second chance and a really sweet and much deserved HEA.

I loved this book. It was such a sweet, holiday romance. Wolf shifter Blaine and reindeer shifter Alvin get a second chance at romance, now that Blaine's pack is out of the picture and not in the way. They have such a strong connection and I liked how open communication cleared up what had happened in their past and wasn't a long drawn out drama. 4 stars.
This is just what I expected from the blurb. A sweet second chance between Alvin and Blaine. The tale is just sweet and cozy with likeable characters mostly taking place ariund the holidays.Who when reconnected don't look back and are just the one for the other with a cute baby/ cub as a happy addition.
