Traumatized by a family tragedy, Frances “Frey” Heywood resorts to committing the unthinkable—only to be saved at the eleventh hour by a man more troubled than even she can comprehend.
Daze Keaton is bad news. A criminal and a drug dealer, he’s a far cry from the safe harbor Frey craves, but all her doubts pale in the face of the way he numbs that cold, broken place inside her.
If only for a little while.
Though Daze’s comfort is a welcome gift, his true motives are far darker than she can ever fathom. While he might have saved her life, her future is in far more danger with him in it.
Not that her head will listen. Or her heart…
A brand-new dark romance trilogy full of mystery, suspense, angst, and spice.
I am a quirky writer from the US who dabbles in dark, paranormal and contemporary romance. My stories aren't always typical, but contain a little something for everyone.
First of all I wanted to share a quote from this book: “Use me all you want. I’ll be your monster.”
It was an okay read I guess?
From what I've read this is a MC romance with cult politician daughter? In the beginning this book had potential because of the tropes but it just left me with millions of questions after finishing it.
My main issue with this book is that it never really explained the back stories of the main characters. Stuff happened but we don't know why or how or when. We get glimpses of answers throughout the dialogs and not even those are enough. It's hard to review this book because I'm still confused about it.
We also know that Frey is traumatized but by who or what? What happened to her and where did Daze come from? Don't get me wrong, I love a dark and mysterious book with lots of angst but I also would like some answers too ya know?
But hey! At least the spice is there!
Also, thanks for buddy reading this one with me Gaby!
“Since the first moment I saw you standing on the edge of the bridge—” he slowly lets out, studying my face, “—you were mine then. And you’re mine, now.”
I do like a good girl bad boy story. And i like my men bloody. Good soup.
Frey and Daze's story is full of sadness and despair. This book was full of emotion and sadness but at times you felt that you should be rooting for this couple. Lana's writing always makes the reader think and feel things, that they may not otherwise want to feel. She always draws into her stories and doesn't let go.
"Do this, and you got me, however you want me. After tonight, you can put a leash on me, baby, and walk me around the whole damn city."
Who doesn't love men like this🤭
I literally devoured this book😩🫶🏻 Couldn't even put it down. I felt like a little kid who just got candy. It's not a secret that Molly Doyle is one of my favorite authors, and after reading Sinners & Saints, i definitely added Lana Sky to that list. I really loved Lyra, because it's obvious she cares a lot about Sammy and I'm glad he has someone like that in his life. In conclusion: I'm OBSESSED and I can't wait to find out what happens in the second and third book.

this book had me hooked from the first page, so intriguing and dark and i ate that shit right up thank you so much for allowing me an early copy ive been dying to read this and it didn't disappoint but then molly always hits when she writes and lana is brilliant and im very excited to read the next book daze&frey <33
This was so good! This is book 1 of 3 and does leave off on a cliffhanger.
This has one of my favorite tropes in it. Alpha male meets innocent virgin. He doesn’t make love he f@cks, except with her! 😭😭 hahaha I love it so much! 😆
This is about Frances (Frey) who is the daughter of a prominent spiritual leader/politician and is about to end her life by jumping off a bridge. In comes Daze who just happens to be there to talk her off the ledge. They have an undeniable connection to each other. But Daze is keeping lots of secrets and Frey needs to know the answers. They can’t seem to stay away from each other and trouble seems to follow right behind them.
The spice was great in this and it had mystery and secrets and a little suspense thrown in the there as well! I can’t wait to see what happens in the next books!
I've read books by both Molly and Lana and have loved each of their books individually, so when I heard they were writing a book together I was SO EXCITED. I've read this book fully through 3 times and have loved it each time! It has mystery, action, angst, SMUT, and a super hot MMC. Daze and Frey have a very interesting relationship that will have you invested in the book to see where things go between them. Not only that, the plot keeps you on the edge of your seat guessing what is happening, who is involved where, and what will happen next for all these characters.
This book does end on a cliff hanger, and I cannot wait to see what is going to happen next!
I went into this with the barest hint of context, and I honestly left that way as well. However, I enjoyed every minute of this. Frey finding who she is outside of the world she’s always known, is quite possibly my favorite thing. Daze isn’t resonating with me on the same level, but that’s because I was so focused on Frey. That doesn’t mean I’m not seeing the good in him, under the coarse exterior, because I definitely am. I need more answers for all these questions.
I don’t know where to start. Or continue. Or finish actually. That’s how all over the place this book was. It’s like there was so much going on and yet nothing at all. All I know for sure is that it’s an MC romance and he’s a single dad. And she’s a goody two shoes runaway with family trauma. Couldn’t connect with any of the characters. A kid was thrown into the mix and then the fmcs dad was maybe a pastor, politician, or cult leader or all of the above? Hell he could even be a mf store manager. I wouldn’t know cause it’s so confusing. I had so many questions that barely any got answered. The spice was definitely there I’ll give it that. And like that ab damn he’s got an amazing voice. If it wasn’t for those two things and the buddy read (thank you Di) then let’s just not say what this rating would’ve been or if I would’ve even finished it. 💀
Frey is the daughter of a church/cult leader turned politician, your typical church girl who sticks to her virtues. Daze is a man who was wronged by her father, and holds secrets about her brother.. She’s a good girl, but when her life turns upside down and she looks for an out, Daze is there to save her. On the run from her father and the church, Frey finds comfort with this mysterious stranger. But Frey gets more than she bargained for when she finds there is so much more to this him than meets the eye.
There are secrets being hidden, and Frey wants to get to the bottom of them. I can’t wait to find out what happens next in this series, especially after that cliffhanger. Will Frey find out what really happened to her brother and what’s really going on behind the scenes at her father’s church? I need more Frey and Daze, the chemistry, even during the fighting was off the charts. Can’t wait for book 2!
This book does contain dark themes, so please make sure to read the trigger warnings before reading.
Ok so there was a LOT of ingredients in this soup which, I’m not gonna lie, made me a little nervous in the beginning. We have TWs: etc, and you would THINK that might be too much seasoning, but yet here I am DEVOURING this meal 😂 Like I licked the bowl clean and I need book two yesterday.
Frey is emotionally in a rough place and find comfort in a chance meeting with a stranger, who may know more about her and her life than he initially lets on, and he just might be intriguing enough to push her past her comfort zone and open the door to pleasures beyond her imagination; if she isn’t caught up in the web of danger lurking around the corner first.
This book is shorter, but fast paced, spicy and full of all the dark little things that make my heart go pitter patter. The cliffy is downright mean but I’m just that much more ready for Book 2 and 3. Plus a surprise little cameo from my favorite Masked Men.
Overall a really super fun ride and I’m here for Daddy Daze all day!
** PLEASE read the TWs! This book isn't for everyone!! **
WHEWWWW LET ME START THIS OFF WITH: DADDY DAZE FOR DAYS!!!!
I loved this short book (about 264) pages and it's a great start to the series!! It's a bit dark, but that's how we like our romances, AM I RIGHT?!?!? *queue the applause*
This story follow Frey and she's grown up in this church cult of sorts - but is a bit lost after dealing with her brother's death. SOOOOO NATURALLY, she gets involved with a mysterious man that just so happens to be a part of dangerous things.... OH.... and he is REALLLLLLL GOOD AT DIRTY TALK 🔥
THAT CLIFFHANGER AT THE END?!? INVOLVING THE MASKED MEN FROM MOLLY'S NOVELLAS?!? GODDDDD I NEED THAT SECOND BOOK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!!!
Absolutely loved this book. I thought Frey was a little naive to some of the things going on around her, but when dealing with family I guess that sometimes happens. I really have mixed feelings about Daze, I didn't like him, and then I did, I keep going back and forth, but at the end I really liked him and am rooting for him. I can't wait for the next book to find out what happens next! This book was mysterious, a little steamy, and had me anticipating what would happen the whole read. I received a review copy of this book and am leaving a voluntary honest review.
Frey is saved by Daze, and the mystery surrounding her father's "religion" and her brother's death starts to unfold. Daze was in a motorcycle club, Frey was part of her father's "religion" which is hell bent on cleansing the city of criminals, and her brother's death never quite made sense to Frey...
I'm interested to see what happens and the cliffy that it ended on has me on the edge of my seat wanting more!
The smutty scenes were hot and Daze is just *chef's kiss* 🥵
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review ♥
Frey is a woman on the edge……literally. She is traumatized by the death of her brother and can’t see her life without him. A stranger comes from the shadows to save her and she blindly follows him.
Frey is the daughter of the head of the church and has always been a good girl. That is until she meets Daze. They have a connection but is it hate or desire or the excitement of them being forbidden.
Daze is criminal who has no direction in life. He lost his power with the Saints. Frey is an interesting development in his life but they are connected in more ways than they think.
I fucking loved this book!! The back and forth between Frey and Daze was epic! All the secrets and lies created a ton of suspense. And the fucking ending!! Dammit ladies, I can’t wait for book 2!!
*I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review*
3/5 ⭐️s
This is one of those books that I can tell probably deserves all the four and five stars it’s getting, but it just didn’t land for me. I think this had to do more with me not enjoying the writing style, so it’s purely a personal opinion. First person narrative sometimes gets a little TOO first person for me, and my brain struggles to connect the dots of what’s going on. This is how that felt. Disjointed at times, and I did a lot of rereading pages to better understand what was happening.
The plot was interesting, the spice great, and the characters all intriguing…but I just couldn’t connect.
So I read this book in two days, from beginning to end it was so good. The cliffhanger tho 😳😔. Ifykyk Lana and Molly did such a good job on this book can’t wait for the second one.
Y’all this book was so dang good!! Daze and Frey yes please! I couldn’t imagine this book any other way it was written perfectly the authors absolutely freaking smashed it! I can’t wait for more!!
Thank you Lana for giving me the opportunity to be on your beta team for this one and both Lana and Molly for providing the advance reader copy!
Spice:🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
This book absolutely had no reason to be this good!!! It was utter perfection.
Daze Keaton who is bad news saved Fey who is too innocent for him and quite troubled from committing the unthinkable.
Both of them at first find too challenging to get along! However, they slowly started growing on each other. You'll see how Daze does anything for her to unravel the secret that's been haunting Frey! Their bonding is so raw and passionate.
Don't talk about the smut, you guys! Daze and his dirty talk. He totally spoiled Frey. I especially loved the s*x swing that came out of nowhere. This is simply incredible!!
Thank you Lana & Molly from providing me an E-ARC in exchange for my honest review!!
I absolutely LOVED this book, and I cannot wait to read the next two books! I binge read the last 60% of this book in one day, I was absolutely hooked! The praise kink was everything; Daze is 🥵
Please check ALL the trigger warnings for this book before reading!
Please read TW/CW because this book isn't for everyone and contains darker themes. So if it's not for you, it's not for you. ⚠️⚠️⚠️
Totally appreciate this book from Lana and Molly. This book was just INTENSE AF! I DID NOT DEFINITELY READ THIS IN ONE SITTING HAHAH! We have Frey the girl who I can tell and definitely relate with in terms of anxiety and some depression and dude, IYKYK cause I do space out and like not pay attention to like things so I definitely get her. She feels guilt for her brother's death and she does something unspeakable and Daze just appears like this not knight shinning armor, but a dark knight.
Did Daze really appear at the right time? Who knows? Frey is just a broken girl who wants to escape her life. Raised in a religious setting and she just wants to get away from it all. Was Daze there to fix her or unravel all the secrets that her family is hiding from her?
NGL I was freaking frustrated from this book because it be edging me from the truth, but dude suspense be killing me so hard. Also, you can't help but continue but read and read because you need to know what happens next.
The spice oof the spice. Daddy Daze never fails to talk dirty to me! Lord, he makes me sweat. All I can say is I just need book 2 super soon and I need secrets to unravel plus that cliffhanger. Daddy Daze praise me more cause I am here and living for it.
This book be angsty AF so be prepared for it. Is it worth it? Yes! Hell yes. It is.
- Virgin FMC - Lots of suspense, mystery and secrets - Angsty storyline - Praise Kink - MMC with criminal past, but ooof yum a bit of an alphahole <3
Crazy and intense dark MC read Sinners and Saints is the first book in a series and I found it to be one crazy ass ride from start to finish. I am a huge fan of Lana Sky’s writing, and I really enjoyed this collaboration with Molly Doyle, an author who is new to me.
After Daze, a mysterious stranger prevents Frey, grief stricken and traumatised after her brother’s death, from ending it all, her life becomes entwined with his and she begins to question everything about herself and those close to her.
The couple are polar opposites, and I relished the contrast and the constant push/pull between them: Daze is a dangerous criminal, involved in drugs and God knows what else, and Frey the innocent and closeted daughter of an influential man who heads up the religious organisation the Covenant.
I loved how Frey is equally drawn and repelled by Daze throughout. There are some hot scenes between them which I lapped up, yet the read is also full of twists and turns in a book which has a solid and engrossing plot line.
Indeed, the story kept me on toes throughout, taking Frey and reader to unexpected places, physically and emotionally. I appreciated how the evolving plot drip feeds the reader small details, revealing secrets which build up a picture of their shared past and present, increasing the level of suspense, tension and danger. As their lives begin to overlap who can Frey trust? I found myself constantly asking myself whether Daze will be Frey’s saviour or the agent of her destruction.
This addictive read ends on a cliffhanger, and I cannot wait for the next instalment.
Please note, a copy of this book was given to me by the authors, and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
A terrific good girl/bad boy romance! It’s intense, dark and full of danger when the extremely good girl Frey hunts for answers only to find a bad boy willing to save her and give her what she needs. And you know what she needs? To lose her innocence in more than one way. Frey is a terrific heroine who’s torn between her life of piety and her need to find more. Enter the hot as heck former MC president. Daze is a sexy hunk with tons of drama in his life but he has the answers plus a lustful interest in the young woman. Not his usual style or type but she’s someone he can’t resist. The beginning was a little awkward but soon it turns smoking hot, intimate and a little sweet. The mystery surrounding Frey’s father, his church and her brother is draw out with information drops along the way. I was really aggravated when Daze wouldn’t just tell her what was going on. Why all the drama and subterfuge? It was so slow and irritated me with the hidden agendas and lack of reveals. But the sizzling romance saved the story. I have a pet peeve with someone being beaten to within an inch of their life and acting like it’s no big deal. Who gets slammed in the head on multiple occasions in a short time span, doesn’t get medical treatment and keeps on going? He should die of head trauma! But no, our hero is unstoppable. There is an MC element but I wouldn’t say this is a biker story. There’s mystery and suspense surrounding Frey’s life and Daze’s background. The story ends in a cliffhanger with Daze gearing up to go after Frey. I really love the intense writing style that kept me on the edge of my seat and flipping the pages. It’s dark and gritty with terrific characters, good mystery and danger everywhere. I can’t wait for the next installment. Worth the read!
