Evangelism is not a sales pitch; evangelism is authenticity in action. I highlighted so much in this book and took notes. He writes the way he speaks during his sermons and it’s fantastic and very relatable. My favorite part: “We seek to know-because being known is more important than telling people what we know.”
Also, the metaphor he used with the dance and it being about living by the spirit and keeping in step with him. So beautiful!!!!! If your father is determined to right and you choose to go left, chaos occurs! Gods will or your hearts desire. They have to line up! Be patient and trust our Heavenly Father!

Full disclosure this is my pastors book who also happens to be my husband.


Reading this book, Jeff’s voice can be heard telling it. I feel it was like he was in the room with me sharing these stories. I cried more than I’d like to admit because he shares tidbits of our story and he shares the stories of many people who mean the world to me.
I’m incredibly proud of this book and the work my husband put into it.

I just finished this book. I heard him speak at our church's district assembly this summer. I would highly recommend everyone who cares about others (should be all Christians) reading this. It's about discipleship and sharing the good news as he calls it being apprentices of Jesus. It's easy to read and I really think all would benefit from reading it.
He befriends a multitude of people in everyday life and while he is not "evangelizing" as we have been taught to understand, he just goes alongside them in life.

" How we see people matters. How we see people impacts how we treat people."
" To see people less as salvation projects and more as beautifully crafted masterpieces who need to be shown how to see themselves in the same light as God sees them."

It is refreshing to have someone from the Nazarene tradition talk about evangelism in a wholistic way. I wish the the last couple chapters about corporate worship and "Good newsing" the church each week was fleshed out more and made up a bigger portion of the book. Overall good and helpful. I think it would be good as a book to read with a church board or a group of lay people.
