Book 2: Evolve: A Dark Reverse Harem Romance
Book 3: Ressurect: A Dark Reverse Harem Romance
Book 4: Prevail: A Dark Reverse Harem Romance (Part 1, Part 2)
Book 5: Reign: A Dark Reverse Harem Romance

This is a Reverse Harem, mafia/gang, mystery romance with plot twists/turns, steamy and smutty scenes, hot alpha-possessive-assholes, sweet love, and grungy content. Our FMC goes through it, but she definitely has her come back. Her badassery comes through, and she becomes a warrior with the support of her men behind her.
This is a continual series with cliffhangers at the end of each book. The series WILL NOT make sense if not read in order to completion. In the end, we will get a HEA!

Ella
I had it all.
A home, a family, men who loved me, a best friend who’d die for me.
And then, I lost it.
They say it only takes one minute for everything to change irreparably, and after the life of horrors I’ve experienced, I know that better than anyone. But I got comfortable. I felt safe, and now, they’re gone.
Maddox, Gage, Stone, Nyxon, and Hunter. My missing pieces, the tape that held me together while I fractured. The men who taught me love and reminded me how to breathe.
Sixty seconds is all it took for my present to be taken from me and to be thrown back into the trenches of my past.
Sixty seconds is all it took for the other half of my soul to bleed out in my arms.
Sixty seconds is all it took for my entire world to shatter.
Now I’m alone, hurt, and confused without the men I love to keep me safe. They’re missing, Hunter is gone, and I have no choice but to save them myself or risk losing everything I never knew I needed.
I’ve lived my life being the pawn on everyone else's chess board, destined to break at the enemy’s hands.
I had to crash in order to burn, and with their help, I was able to evolve and resurrect, leaving the broken girl I once was behind for good. The question is, will I fail to save the men I love and ruin my family name once and for all, or will I prevail and become the queen I was always meant to be?

Nyxon
My brothers and I are hardened criminals–gangsters. We have a reputation as the ruthless men who run the city, ruling it with an iron fist.
But the thrones that we sit upon are built of lies. Greed. Destruction. Devastation. Our veins burn with the carnage of our pasts, the sins we’ve been forced to commit.
It’s why I refused to let her in. Why I pushed her away, keeping her at a distance instead of loving her the way I desperately wanted to.
Isabella Hudson. My Thumbelina. Mi Reina.
The woman who saved my life all those years ago on that bridge. The woman who captivated me with one look, one smile, and one word.
Stay.
I never thought I’d see her again, but fate had other ideas, placing her directly in not just my path but my brother’s as well.
Like soldiers amid battle, we’ve fallen. She’s captured us, weaving the five of us into her tapestry as though it’s where we were always meant to be. She is ours, and we are hers.
Faithful, willing, devoted.
Isabella chose to remain in our lives; danger be damned. And now, the war is at our doorstep. The demons are in our beds. It’s not in our nature to submit to captivity, but with her on the outside and us in our enemy's clutches, we have no choice but to let our queen reign.
This book has content unsuitable for those under 18 and has material that some readers may find uncomfortable. Check the complete TW on my website.
The ebook is broken into two parts, part one and two. The physical book is one copy with a purple cover.

Would have preferred a delay...

While I understood more once I read the author note at the end this book was a whole mess.

I love the first 3 books so much. I devoured them, like I remember I didn't sleep for a days because I was so hooked i couldn't put them down. I pre-ordered this book and waited a year. No biggie, knew that going in. I remember it being a long wait. So when I read the note at the beginning about it being split in two I expected two 400 plus page dark twisty keep you on on the edge of your seat stories. Like all the others in the series.

Honestly, I wish it would have been postponed instead of what this was. The first 50% of the book really seemed like a recap/extension of what we had at the ending of the of last book. We finally started to get somewhere at like 72% and then bam its just done mid scene.

I'm just confused it didn't feel like the other books. I had to reread sections a few times cause it felt like we were jumping around too much and I couldn't figure out how we got from point a to point b.

Part two will hopefully be here in May and hopefully it is more complete and we can get the full picture of what's going on with our Los Diablos and they get the ending they deserve. Because I really do love their story.

I had also expected it to follow the same as the other books where each of the main guys got more POVs in their books. We didn't see this and I would have loved to see more of nyxon and his back story.

What I did love is that Hunter finally got to say all the things he wanted to. And that Ella is realizing how powerful she is.

(I received an ARC for this book)

This book CANNOT be read as a standalone.
This book ends on a cliffhanger!

Trigger Warnings include:
Self-injurious behavior/self-harm/cutting on-page, masochistic behaviors on-page, talk of past suicide attempts, therapy, depression/anxiety, gang violence, drugs/weapons, sexual trauma and abuse in both adults and children, grooming and gaslighting, human trafficking, graphic language, slurs, physical and mental abuse, gaslighting (within a relationship), kidnapping, torture, sexual kinks/BDSM, bondage, orgasm denial, degradation/praise, group sex, child abuse/sexual abuse past reference and in memory, death/murder, rape (on-page), drug/alcohol abuse, mention of abortion and drug-related assault
please be advised that things are in full detail

One of my favorite things about Bex’s books is that she dives right in! There’s no light hinting about characters and their pasts or their demons. They’re handed to us on a silver platter. I can’t give this my usual review treatment, because readers should go in blind. BUT, I will reiterate the fact that that list of triggers is VERY thorough and VERY important, so please mind it! If any of them are triggers for you, this is not the novella or series for you. They occur throughout.

I’ve waited nearly a year to be reunited with this brunch, and it was so worth the wait!! (Not that I ever doubted that!) Sitting on the edge of that cliffhanger was bad for my heart! But THIS cliffhanger?! Yeah, I’m a mess. I’m obsessed with every character Bex writes, which means I am also very protective of them! So yes…I’m a mess! I feel like we walked into this book with a million questions. And now, I’ve got at least two million!

I’ve included the same ‘review’ for each book in the series. One, it’s the best way to avoid any spoilers, and two, because the words ring true every damn time!
I’m obsessed. I am ready to have my heart ripped out by these characters, over and over again. I welcome the pain. Every time I found a place to stop and put the book down, I swear I was right back in the trenches every time I picked it back up! I was dragged through the mud. Like, I could visualize myself being dragged through the muddy trenches. Each of them have dug their way through hell, but they’re not out yet. No matter their demons, their pain, their despair, their heartbreak, their anger…they’re human. And they each have a beautiful connection to each other. An instinctual connection. And nothing can separate them. It’s an unbreakable bond. A bond that brings each of them comfort, a safe place. A space they all desperately need. Their demons reached out to each other. Especially when Isabella was added into the mix. Along with her demons, she brought them each light. And it glowed. And they each basked in it. I had a weak spot for each of them. My sweet, broken, deadly babies. They each took my heart and gently held it in my hand, and then shattered it. And I’ll never get all of the pieces back.

“I love you in a forever kind of way.”

Shock in the best way

Wow so far so good. Shorter read I was done in 3 hours cause I had kiddos to get off to school. But darn I love Ella's aka Skyler. I actually like her name both of them. I love that at least she has Hunter at this moment and we didn't lose him. He and Gage were my favs. I'm so worried of what Gages dad wants will Ella probably to marry her or something to form together cause it's power he's after. She should marry Hunter and then go get the guys. Lol. I cant wait for the 2nd half to come out. Because the best line yet MIC 🎤 FREAKING DROP! GO HUNTER!!! curious as to why they saved Hunter tho...and not the others. Was or is there a reason 🤔 hmm I wonder and well can't wait for the 2nd half and book 5. I absolutly loved this series so far. This author did suck a fantastic Job. All the pain and suffering I felt and the healing with the guys help I felt. I loved how the guys are written too. Strong fierce and protective possessive and I love how even tho the history with her and HUNTER is a sad one that she doesn't blame him and he did what he could to protect her. And the bond they formed is like none other. You can feel it.

I know that cliff hangers are a thing

I know that cliff hangers are a thing but the way this book ended and all that it took to get to the end? Really? I love this world and the stories but it was hard to understand why this book did not resolve as many things as I think it could’ve before going to the next book. Not much happened and it did feel like a filler book before getting to the end. We didn’t learn everything about Ella and the questions that were answered almost felt rushed in the reveal I hate to write reviews like this but I was hoping for more… also, I did know that a final book was going to be released but still I was disappointed

Well....(slight spoiler) but not really

I was very excited to continue this story. I stayed up past my bedtime so I could start it at midnight. Imagine my disappointment when the first 23 chapters of book 2 we're the entirety of book 1. The last 2 chapters aren't chapters, just headers. So there's only actually 16 chapters of new content and now there's a wait for the last book. I think this is why people don't read unfinished series. I read the first 3 books in two days mostly cause sleep is a thing. It's a great series just thus last one was a little upsetting.

Forewarning I'm pissed

Wow. In the last 350 books I've read I haven't felt the need to write a review, but this book struck a nerve causing me to respond. Reading books should be an enjoyable experience not a form of torture, however this book is the polar opposite of enjoyable. I honestly didn't like this book or the last but kept reading just get finish their story. Ending this book on a MASSIVE cliffhanger when readers think this is the last book. Honestly I no longer care about the story strictly on principle. The author dedicated too many pages detailing SICK trauma all the characters went through instead of helping them resolve the issues hanging over their heads. I will NEVER read another book from this author and hope after reading this you do too. Its sad because I really liked the storytelling in the beginning but this book was the final straw

I’m sorry but what was that? I waited patiently for this book. Anticipated it and constantly checking when it would come out. 200 pages. The first 25% was overlap from previous book. We get no where. Then just as things might advance the book is over. It just seemed like a few chapters then abruptly ended. I loved this series but I was very disappointed in this book. I look forward to the next and hope it concludes better.

I’m so sad I waited all that time for this. NOTHING HAPPENS in the entire book except for a couple of revelations and backstories. So disappointed. At one point I looked down and was absolutely SHOCKED that I was nearly halfway done and still hadn’t even gotten to the event that the last book ended on.

Bro people be complaining too much about the POV at the beginning like be so for fucking real. It’s repetitive but I liked getting their perspective. Sure it could’ve been like bonus scenes at the end or whatnot. And it’s completely true you could’ve skipped over it and been fine so why didn’t you just do that? It’s not that srs.

On a book note tho, I didn’t like the way that Ella was acting in this book, I found it to be childish and she didn’t even like want to lead and ofc she’s emotional ofc. About her men being gone but objectively she needed to look at this. She didn’t, she almost got everyone killed. However it’s how it is when you’re thrown into a power position like so.

In the end, I loved the men’s povs while captive. It was intriguing. Super easy read.

Lowkey a little mad, I thought it was a completed series (I’m a dumbass) so now I have to wait a year until the next one comes out😎

**Spoilers**

This book was pretty dang good for the first 50%. I really enjoyed the crew being a little separated. I enjoyed finally knowing the big secret behind Ella and her past. But things fell apart quickly.

#1 biggest complaint was Ella. Oh my goodness this girl is the BIGGEST wilting flower. I didn't mind so much in the beginning. I love a queen that's still growing into her badass self. But here we are book 4 and she is still fucking useless. I wanted to roll my eyes every time she burst into tears. It was every other page. She was constantly crying. Constantly on the verge of a panic attack. Constantly making rash stupid choices because she couldn't see around her big feels. I wanted to scream. Thank God Hunter was there because Ella was literally fucking useless.

That said...

Issue #2 Hunter. He drives me crazy. I LOATH how he talks to Ella. He enables all her horrible behavior because it's "cute". He also speaks to her like she is a toddler. It's obnoxious. Also at one point her teased she call him "daddy" in the bedroom. I was waiting for the fall out from that one. That's literally what Ella's abuser made her call him, which Hunter was there for. But it was never mentioned again. It seemed like a pretty big plot hole but whatever.

All that being said, I'm glad Hunter and Ella got some alone time in this book to really put some foundation to their love relationship. I wish a little more time was spent (or anytime at all) on how they overcame there disgusting sexual past together, but apparently it's a non-issue for both of them.

The other men spent the entire book. Locked up. Which honestly was pretty boring. Nothing really happened. I also thing Augustus Luna is the worst villain. He is a weak easily provoked angry old man. He has none of the cold calculating eeriness a good villain has. I find myself rolling my eyes at him more than anything. What was his end goal holding all the men hostage? Why did he think they had any idea where Ella was? Especially because they saw her being kidnapped by a different group of people. It seemed like a waste of time. Nothing was really solved, no plot point was moved forward by them being taken.

Also at the very end we find out Maddox has a kid. Not my favorite plot point. Especially in a reverse harem situation. I don't want to think about kids when my main characters are getting it on. But here we are.

I know this probably came off pretty negative but overall this book was easy to read and kept me entertained for 75% of it. I really am anxious to see Maddox/Hunter come together. I'm ready for Ella/Skyler to grow a fucking backbone. I also think she didn't get enough revenge for her "family" leaving her in the foster care system like that was somehow better than being with her true family. I hate her aunt/mom who let that happen. I don't understand what war is coming but I'm glad Ella's mafia family is there to help her because honestly all these characters act like teenagers ruled by their hormones making stupid choices constantly.

Prevail

There are so many questions and I feel like part 2 answered my theories. I’m beyond proud of Ella she’s been through so much and still tries to remain strong even as her world falls apart. She’s literally been lied to and used as pawn on everyone’s chess board. But she takes it all in stride. I loved the way hunter shows up for her and the dynamic of their relationship. It has many layers due to their past shared trauma but through it all overtime it turned into a beautiful connection between them and you can see the love they both feel towards each other. I was in awe of the way hunter shows up for Ella. He proved his love and loyalty to her and no matter what he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe even if he has to sacrifice himself. Without giving away too much away. Ella’s past resurfaces and so many twists happen. I had my suspicions on a couple of things and I was spot on.
Throughout the second part you see Ella fighting to save the men she loves and even in the pits of their own hell she’s the shinning star that keeps them fighting in hopes to reunite with her.

Bex thank you for giving us The los diablos syndicate. It’s been a wild and fulfilling ride and I can’t wait for Reign. Even though I’m sad that it’s the final book completing the series. I’ve enjoyed this journey and the amazing characters you’ve written. This series is my Roman Empire and I’ll always recommend it.

The final book is called Reign

Ella-“I fell in love with five men, split my heart into pieces, and gave them away. It’s not fair for me to ask any one of you to stay with me, to share me. It’s not fair for you to hold me together while I’m breaking for their loss.

Hunter-She’s everything I never knew I needed, everything I never thought I deserved, and I can’t believe she’s here, with me, in my arms.

Nyxon-And I love you too, more than you’ll ever know. I swear to God, you won’t regret this. I’ll heal everything I’ve broken.”😭😭😭

Nyxon-“You saved me, Ella. All those years ago, you saved me in ways I didn’t even realize. And I’m going to spend the rest of my life making sure you never forget how much you mean to me. You’re my everything.”

I got Prevail as an ARC and once again i'm dying for more! This book is a two part release that is happening quickly because there is just SO much to tell. Prevail is #4 in what is slotted to be a 5 book series; the Los Diablos Syndicate. You NEED to read the prequel Crash and the first three books in order to understand what is happening as this is a very well written and extremely detailed reverse harem series. It is way way more than just amazing smut and has a phenomenal story line with the best side characters, twists, turns and crazy plot flips.

Bex Dawn is a beyond talented writer. Everyone should immediately read her entire backlist because she is the bomb. The careful planning, detail and suspense that she has woven into Prevail is nothing short of fantastic. Cannot wait to get my hands on the next installment; Reign.

Prevail picks up right after Evolve where we find Ella being taken by a mysterious group of people who don't seem to want to harm her. She wakes up in an underground compound with her best friend and newest lover in the harem Hunter. Without providing too many spoilers, Ella is confronted with her past and the memories that she were long forgotten in a horrific accident re-surface quickly. Her 4 sexy, sinful and dangerous men; Maddox, Stone, Gage and Nyxon are also taken by a different group in the same attack and the group of 6 find themselves seperated after what was supposed to be a deliciously sinful birthday evening at an MMA fight.

Be forewarned that there are HEAVY trigger warnings in this book and the entire series for a reason. Please read the trigger warnings before entering into this amazing and page turning story. The subject content is heavy and extremely dark. It may not suit everyone's taste.

<>Tidying lose ends<>

This fourth installment is Absolute gut wrenching, full of angst, slow burn anticipation and plot twists so loopy it's like a rollercoaster. Prepare for the culmination for this drawn out, world building saga of broken Isabella and her lovestruck harem of gang leader vigilante warriors. You just want to shake them for their stupidity at the glorious woman before them but you understand why since each backstory is darker & more brutal than the next but merge beautifully to fit all their jagged edges together. There's a man to fit every type you/Isabella may have-tatted baddie brothers, muscles, techy bdsm nerd, quiet giant, etc and they're all hopelessly devoted to their inevitable Queen. It's been a long time coming but her backstory is unearthed and hungry for more. Lots of drama, lots of webs weaving and we are waiting for a culmination book to finish out this series.
* This book definitely cannot be a standalone as you must start prequel Crash to get the absolute full story of the Los Diablos syndicate tale.
*Check out the trigger warnings! Lots of harsh and violent themes but they're necessary for this romance to flourish.
*Lots of internal dialogues and
*multiple POV from all characters.
*Graphically detailed smex scenes but not enough frequency for the average dark romance reader like myself, 3.5/5🌶️

Bex must have a running bet to see how many tears she can pull from us readers!

This book was such an emotional ride—at every turn, if I wasn't screaming or crying, then I was just profoundly feeling a plethora of unnamed emotions. Ella and her boys faced a lot of twists and turns in this part of the series. We as readers, gain some perspective on certain parts of the plot and character motivations we've seen in previous books. Without going too deep and revealing anything, this story packs a punch. I truly LOVED this book, just as I've loved the others in this series. Bex Dawn has such a poetic and masterful way of pulling the reader into the scenes of the story as though you're living it out alongside the characters. I seriously cannot wait for part two!

So, before I tell you to dive into this amazing storytelling, all I ask is for you to check your triggers. I loved this story something fierce, but I also know it has some heavy topics.

Ella left with more questions

⚠️ contains spoilers if you have not read Resurrect book three in this series.

4 ⭐️ - Prevail over laps Resurrect starting with them leaving for the Den all of them together leading up to the shooting. We get the POV of each of them after the shooting along with some flashbacks from their past but mostly we get more page time with Ella. We get a few answers but the book generates so many more questions.

I really loved the first three books in this series. This book is shorter since it was broken into two parts with the second one suppose to be here in the next four weeks. I would have loved to have both parts in the one book but it is still well written. I hope part two really does release soon I really want to know what happens with Gage, Stone, Madd and Nyx.

3 ⭐️ I liked how we finally got a completed timeline of what happened to Ella/Skye when she was younger. I also loved that she’s developed into this strong, badass FMC. However, I just can’t seem to find a way to like Hunter. He comes across as so cringe sometimes—I don’t even know how to explain it. I was ready to give this book 4 stars, just like the rest of the series, which has consistently been a four-star experience for me. But something about Hunter… This book felt very off-putting whenever he was in a chapter. Not only that, but the sexual interactions between her and Hunter while the other four were kidnapped and going through stuff just felt wild to me.

I need to start by saying I just can’t finish this book. With the final book having no release date yet, I can’t. When I read crash, I fell in love & cried. I knew immediately this was gonna be a series that stuck with me. I normally don’t read a series before it’s finished so I’m assuming I started this one thinking “there’s no way the final one won’t be out before I get to it” wrong. I’m heart broken it’s not out. I get her reasonings behind the “why” I do. Hopefully she understands her fans reasoning for not being able to finish the 4th book. My anxiety won’t allow it. But you best believe if that last book ever comes out ima do a reread & download that shit ASAP!!

A little disappointed in this one

I still rated it a five star book but it just should have been shorter in some areas and a bit longer to finish off the series. It would have been much better to have had the book finished up because this just seemed to drag on but nothing really happened. I loved the others because something new was going on but it was not repetitive.... I am hoping the next book comes out soon but it's worth waiting because she's going through some personal stuff ....looking forward to the next release and then there's one after?

I absolutely loved the previous books in this series and I just reread them, increasing the rating as I enjoyed them so much...I understand the author felt the characters needed more time to grow and breath in this book before moving on to part two. But I felt like I got no answers at all. Like nothing. I still enjoyed And recommend it, obviously. I also kind of wish Hunter died. Am I the only one? It would have been higher stakes, I'm not a fan of him joining the group in a romantic way. But I respect the author and her journey with the characters.

I've really been enjoying this series. The plot is interesting with a complex weave of character backstories. However, the last book left on a cliffhanger then like 30% of Part 1 is just recap before you even get to anything resembling new information. Reading 60/200 pages just to get back to where we left off was so tedious. Why are these chapters even in this book? I wish the author hadn't split this book because it all feels very unfinished and poorly planned. I DNF'd this book (but can you really DNF half a book?) and will try again once the full book is released.

Bex, pls. My heart cannot handle these chaotic scenes where everyone is doing something to protect each other! 🫣 I need all my babies safe and sound, TOGETHER.

Part one of Prevail is a wild ride with lots of action, sweet confessions and even more plot twists than before. You thought you had questions in the previous books? Be prepared to say “what the fuck” a couple times while reading this!

ummm??

Okay I'm a tad confused, this could have been one chapter, no idea why this is two books so hopefully the next one actually deals with everything. Also this new MM makes zero sense, this should be Ella and her men only, not all of a sudden one of them is also into other men? It doesn't fit with the series at all. Super disappointed that was randomly added 3/4 of the way through the series

Never pre ordered a book do fast

This book delivered all the angst and longing. Do not going expecting a quick resolve. And carve out a whole afternoon. I have never pre ordered a book so fast let alone when I haven't even finished the current one. The estimated date is so far but I didn't wanna miss out at all! So many twists in this and so much uncovered about the hidden past. Cannot wait for the final installment.

I have loved this series from the beginning! The chemistry between Isabella and the guys is hot. Each guy brings a certain something that makes Bella have feeling for them all. Each character has their own heartbreaking story and it makes you understand them more and their decisions.
The second part of the book was all about Bella trying to save her men. She will do anything to bring them back to her and I like her headstrong personality. The last book is what I'm looking forward to.

What was even the point?

Basically the entire book is just characters remembering what happened in the last book. There was zero story progression. Aside from a couple small details you could probably skip this book entirely and it would make no difference to your understanding of the story. It’s just repeated information for no reason.

Really disappointing.

no. I’m done

Literally the first 1/3 of the book is a repeat of the ending of the previous book.
Then the rest of the book is “my trauma is worse than your trauma”
Then something finally happens in the last page.
I rolled my eyes so hard on the last couple chapters. I cannot do this book anymore.

The plot for this series is amazing!! It has twist that you don't see coming and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The cliffhanger on this book is killing me!! I was looking for the next chapter and it isn't there! I also love that it's fast paced with little to no down time to get bored and lose interest.

❤️

This is what I needed! Part one left a huge cliff hanger and couldn't wait to have part 2. (Both combined now). So much happened and I just needed to keep reading to see how it ended! This ended in a happy ending but more is to come and I can't wait. When I read the Part where Brass was mentioned I just know we are in for some chaos 😍😍
