When inventor Allyson Levitz wakes up fifty years in the future, the world has been ravaged and everyone she knows and love could be gone. As she makes her way out of New York City, she realizes everything has changed. Humanity has been nearly wiped out, and those who remain are altered and lives in tribes based on their mutations. As Allyson tries to get to Albany in hopes of finding a remnant of her family, she sees the once familiar landscape has changed—old traces of civilization disappearing as nature reclaims what was once taken. As she makes contact with each of the tribes, she makes new friends. Each one becomes critical as the races turn on her, demanding the information locked in her brain. Even in the most difficult circumstances, hearts recognize each other and a bond is formed. Frightening in its intensity and suddenness, she fights it with all she has. Together with her friends, she must find a safe place to live. Not an easy task, when it seems she is at the top of everyone’s most wanted list. If she can just get to her family’s land in Albany, there is hope in the form of a Doomsday shelter built by her uncle. When attraction becomes too overpowering, will she give in to temptation? If anyone gets a hold of her and the information she possesses, the world will be thrown into a power struggle that could destroy the population that remains. And if she loses control and gives into her feelings, she could be forced to choose a side.

Elizabeth Sharp is the pen name used by Donna Dull. A full time mom and part dreamer, Donna is addicted Facebook while still recovering from her Dr. Pepper problem. A self-proclaimed techno geek, she loves cell phones, computers, tablets and all things technological. The internet has to be the greatest invention since the wheel, in her opinion. She lives in a quiet subdivision with her husband, young son, three cats, and far too many electronics. It’s quite possible she has some raccoon in her DNA, because she loves glitter and anything that sparkles. She enjoys making jewelry and costumes. Halloween is her favorite holiday since it’s the one day of the year that you can be whatever you want. But her first love will always be writing. Otherwise, hearing voices in her head would make her feel schizophrenic.

This one has everything! From page one to till the end, you will be wondering what can happen next?? I HATE predictable stories, and this story, keeps you guessing. Nothing is as it seems.
Allyson is dramatically pulled form her own time, and she ends up in the future, a future she just doesn't belong in. Allyson is confused and lonely. On the way to her families land, which she hopes to find some of her family on, she makes new allies. Some of these may prove to be her undoing.
I loved this book! Sharp has a way of extracting an emotion response from her readers and this book is no exception. I love that we can share in Allyson's desperation to get someplace safe. The supporting characters, are snarky and I love that!
Who doesn't need a good bit of snark every now and then?
I suggest that you pick this one up as your next read!

Another exciting story from Elizabeth Sharp!

I love the world Elizabeth bright to life in this dystopian! The idea of a divided people in a future full of turmoil isn't new, but the way Ms. Sharp divided them is one I haven't seen before. Throw in a romantic backdrop to this action-packed journey and it's definitely a winner! Though not for anyone under 18 due to some language and sexual content.

A great story

In this dystopian world ,Ally, tries to bring back humanity and teach people to cooperate. Through a treacherous journey,Ally found love,friendship and long lost family. Looking forward to more of this story.
