With my mother in the Demon’s clutches, I’ll do almost anything to buy her more time.
Like make a deal with the Demon.
I’ll pay him with an enemy’s death for my mother’s life.
Long ago, dear old dad took me on a camping trip with his serial killer bestie before he broke their pinkie promises. Now the Demon wants the man dead. But when I come face to face with Uncle Carnage, strange memories start to surface.
Who am I, really?
What have I done?
Was every sin solely to survive?
When I don’t know who I am, my men anchor me in reality. Cain’s daddy dom vibes, Stellan’s sweet way of seeing straight through me, Remington’s easygoing genius, Pax’s fierce protectiveness.
Then the Demon starts taking them away from me…
As the Demon unravels both my past and present, will I finally be able to bring him down?
Or will I always be daddy’s little girl?
The epic conclusion to the Rich Demons of Darkwood series.
I'm a wife, mother, and author! Writing has always been a passion for me, and publishing my first series is a dream come true. I drink too much caffeine, never sleep, and my imagination is always churning out ideas. Eva and her men have been in my head for awhile, and I'm so glad to finally take you with me on this journey!
Meh. I was happier at end of book 3 than this. It was clear they would go against her father but getting there was forced extra like if they took one of her people she would be distracted by other things BEFORE going after them? Really? Liked the series but this last one was meh.
A perfect ending for a twisted, sexy, emotional and overall amazing series. Aurora is now one of my favorite FMC's. This book continues right where we left off. Not only do Aurora, Cain, Stellan, Remington and Paxton have to worry about The Demon on their tail, but Cain's parents are proving to continue to be a thorn in their side.
This fight for their lives they are all facing needs a showdown - only who will prevail? Explosions. Drugs. Kidnapping. Killing. When will it end? Mafia is chasing them. The Demon worshippers are after them and The Demon himself is assigning tasks that Aurora needs to complete for her loved ones to be kept safe. Then, when Aurora is confronted with her past - she cant distinguish whether it is a true memory or something that The Demon told her about. One by one, her men start to disappear before her. The Demon is closing in and it will be up to Aurora to get them out of this alive. Will it be Aurora, the one all of her guys are in love and want to build a future with? Or will it be The Demons protégé, Delilah, the one that is just as bloodthirsty and unforgiving as him?
I truly enjoyed this book and series so much. This might be my favorite book of the series due to everything that went down. It was an intoxicating chaos that turned into the ultimate moment of truth and her guys proved they are willing to do literally anything to show their love for Aurora. It was action packed, steamy and an emotional roller coaster of family drama. I loved every second of this book and could not stop turning the pages.
The red flags continued in this wild relationship of slightly off-kilter psychopaths, BUT together they are a dream and got the HEA they all deserve. I loved it!
"Lets go k!ll your father, babe, Cain said. It was the ultimate sweet talk."
"We'll follow you into the darkness, baby. Wherever you want us to go."
"The rest of the world can burn."
*Overall 5/5 *Fast Burn *Multiple first person POV *MFMMM Romance (So goood) *Epilogue *Ends on HEA
**I received an ARC of this book from the CR Jane in exchange for my honest review**
"We were made for you, and you were made for us."
Ahhh!!! I don't want it to be over! I loved this series. Boy, Aurora and her boys go through so much in order to get their HEA. To be honest, I wasn't entirely sure they were all going to make it. I do not want to give out spoilers but know The Demon kidnaps some of the few people in the world Aurora loves and she IS NOT HAPPY.
As far as the guys...I will never love a book boyfriend more than Cain. 😍😍😍😍
"Sometimes I don't know who I am," I said in a voice that was a whisper, because otherwise it would break. "You're mine, of course." His hands cupped my chin. "Sometimes I'm scared of what I can do..." "I'm not."
One thing I had been wanting and got was a background story of The Demon and Nina. I wanted to know how they became a couple, married and had a baby. I'm glad to have that answered.
What a series! It was absolutely fantastic. I loved Aurora, I loved all the guys- and I didn’t have a favorite, they were all different and amazing in their own way. I loved the suspense and action throughout the series. The authors didn’t make us wait until the very end to get all the answers, we were given answers as the story went and I liked that. Aurora is definitely one character I’ll never forget. I loved everything about her, especially her fierce and strong personality. This entire series was excellent and was never dull or boring. From start to finish it was packed with action, drama, suspense, mystery, betrayal, a little humor and a lot spice! It was a series that I couldn’t put down and it hate that it’s over!
4-Star Review for Mak Me Queen by C.R. Jane ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Alright, listen. I wanted to be emotionally wrecked, mind-blown, and left gasping for air like I just ran a marathon through a fae war zone. Instead, I got... a whole lot of smut. Like, a lot a lot. And don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good spicy scene as much as the next reader, but by page 47 of the “let’s-have-sex-before-we-fix-literally-anything” montage, I was like, “Y’all sure you don’t want to maybe check on that hostage situation first? No? Cool.”
What should’ve been front and center? The actual trauma our girl went through. There were hints of her dissociation, her mental unraveling after what Daddy Dearest did—and that could’ve been a powerful deep dive. But instead, it kinda got pushed aside for more steamy distractions. I kept waiting for a raw, gritty emotional breakdown or breakthrough... and instead, we got another bed-breaking moment (or wall, or whatever surface was still intact).
That said, the series as a whole? Addictive. Like, “just one more chapter” at 3 a.m. addictive. I still came back for every book, every messed-up twist, every morally questionable love interest. This finale just didn’t quite hit the emotional oomph it was building toward.
Still, if you're here for the drama, the chaos, and yes—plenty of heat—you’ll be satisfied. Just maybe skim past the fifth consecutive “let's get naked before the world ends” chapter and keep an eye out for the emotional crumbs sprinkled between.

Make Me Queen is the final book in the Rich Demons of Darkwood series. This book engaged me back into the series and had me excited for all the drama waiting to unfold. Well, overall this book doesn't disappoint. You get a ton of drama, and of course lots of delicious steamy scenes. While this book is indeed a page-turner, there are some let downs, too. Prepare for the introduction of some more individuals from Deliliah's past. Too bad one of them is literally a blip and then gone. This particular character goes by the name of Carnage. He's one of the Demon's old "friends." You'd think that with Delilah/Aurora being set on him there would be something more. But this character goes out with a whimper. It was honestly the most disappointing thing in the story for me. It went too easily and I honestly expected more. Cain still is my least favorite. Sorry not sorry but he gives off small junk energy. He acts like he has too much to prove...to the world, because he's too over the top. I get it. He's an alpha-hole, but his domineering attitude got old fast and I wasn't a fan of how much he hogs the spotlight in this book. Certain elements are just anti-climactic with this story and it really let me down. But you get the HEA that is promised by the author. It's okay, but for a few years later in the epilogue, once again I expected more. All in all...4 out of 5 stars.
*reverse harem *contemporary *multi-PoV *dark - triggers *serial killer *enemies to lovers *college bully *established harem (4) *fast burn 🔥 *5/5 Captivating Conclusion ❤️ There’s a lot going on in this final book, it’s a rollercoaster of a ride but they get their well deserved HEA!! Aurora has to make a deal with the Devil in order to save her mothers life, yeah nothing is is ever as simple as it seems - especially when he keeps upping the stakes 😖😖 Trouble is he isn’t the only enemy they have…Cains father is out to take break them and take everything! They’re fighting a battle on all fronts and they’re takings hits left, right and centre 😞 you constantly wonder what they’re going to go through next 😮 Thankfully they’re actually coming together as a family unit, one that contains possessive, psychopathic alphaholes! And oh my the ‘team building’ in this one is 🥵🥵🌶️🌶️🌶️🔥🔥🔥 Aurora is trying to discover who she is after being pulled this way and that by the demands of her father, her past being revealed and the person she is with her men 🙈 thankfully she knows she’s theirs and you get to see her true self shine! A great end to what has been a twisty dark steam filled series😃
I was so excited for this conclusion. This series was so good! So if you haven’t started this series yet, stop and go do that right now. We left off on book four with Aurora and Paxton finally figuring their relationship out and then the cliffhanger was that Aurora's dad had taken her mom. This book went by much quicker than the other books. The plot was quick and at times, I thought forsure we can’t have solved this mystery this quickly. So while this book is a great conclusion to the story, things just went by too fast! But we did get to see some great group scenes and them working as a unit. Really, there was no college aspect to this final book because it was all really about the Demon. The plot twist at the end of the book was so unexpected! But the way these boys love Aurora even in the darkest moments - chefs kiss. So much happened in this book that it could have easily been 900 pages. Such a good wrap up to this series!
This is the fifth and final fantastic book in the Rich Demons of Darkwood Series. It is a dark, college, enemies to lovers, why choose romance, and the finale to Aurora, Cain, Stellan, Remington, and Pax’s, story.
This has been such an intriguing and gripping story. I absolutely loved every single book, which was impossibly better than the last, and was hooked from the very beginning. I devoured this last book and was thrilled with how it all ended.
As with every book in the series, the writing, storyline, flow, characters, character development, relationship development, and world building are all fabulous. I would highly recommend this book and series and hope there will be more to come from this awesome writing duo.
So, I loved this series. I never finish them, so that right there should tell you it's good. This review is for the series not just this book. BUT I do have to say, the ending of the both the fathers ESPECIALLY the demon wasn't good. It was so easy. That and a couple of series inconsistency were annoying. Everything else was great! I loved the romance, friendship, and the craziness of the FMC. I recommend you read this series if you love a blood thirsty main character and gorgeous, but frustrating, men.
This series has been a wild ride from book 1 and Make Me Queen was no different. With every page turn, things were getting more and more wild. It was action packed as we raced towards the end. So many things were happening and I could only hope that everything would be OK in the end.
I wish I could go back and read from the beginning for the first time. It's a series that will live rent free in my head for a while.
This was SUCH a good ending to this series. I loooved seeing Delilah and her man grow into their relationships as the series went on. Seeing them embrace her craziness and not turn away from her darkness was so good - a bunch of psychos they are! There were twists and turns and I was constantly on the edge of my seat wondering just what the Demon had up his sleeve next. Highly recommend if you're looking for a reverse harem series with psychos, red flags, and alphaholes!
I have really enjoyed this series. However, I do feel like this last book was a bit rushed. It was still an enjoyable read, and I think it was wrapped up in a manner where I don’t feel like I am missing anything, but there was also a huge plot point that came to a finale and it did so in a very anticlimactic manner.
That aside, I still love the characters and would still absolutely recommend this series. It was absolutely still a 4 star read🖤
This series has been one action packed ride. The conclusion to the Rich Demons of Darkwood was exciting was the rest of the series.
The Demon is out and playing a deadly game, luring Aurora home. But our girl is done playing his game. She’s ready to cut her bindings and show him who really holds the strings. Unfortunately for Aurora, another enemy has come to play. Can Aurora defeat her enemies before time runs out?
Aurora is a great FMC and her men are everything. Just a fantastic end to a great series.
Finale to the Reverse Harem, Serial Killer, College Bully Romance of Aurora and her boys.
I enjoyed the wrap-up of this series. Some of the plot points seemed a little rushed and somewhat hard to keep track of. Aurora definitely lives up to her unwanted moniker of "The Devil's Daughter" while transitioning into her new role as Queen.
What I liked: -Auroras strength and love she had for those she cared about -The men :,) they were so unhinged but their love for Aurora was very pure -The plot, it was really interesting and grasped my attention -the humor, I loved the dynamic between the guys and Aurora
Now.. what I didn’t like: -inconsistent, I didn’t understand the part of Aurora having two separate personalities. It seemed random. & is only mentioned in the last book. Yes we do see her struggle with opposing feelings but having her kinda black out and become completely cold even towards her men was not fitting. It made sense to an extent but didn’t make sense.. does that make sense? -WTF happened to Bentley? That’s a big inconsistency, he escaped and was never mentioned again (I’m pretty sure). -Death all over the place. I understand this is a serial killer book and that’s fine but LITERALLY ALMOST EVERYONE DIED LMAO. Like a new villain popped up every 30 seconds. How tf can a persons life be THAT eventful -With the above point being mentioned.. so many plot points took away from the OVERALL plot of Auroras father. This made the story seem wayyyyy too chaotic. Though I did enjoy the main plot. -I just have to mention again that Aurora getting plastic surgery was the most pointless thing ever. It’s honestly really funny. I don’t get it. She has violet eyes. VIOLET EYES!!!!! Less than 1% of the WORLDS population has them and the girl kept them even while wanting to recreate herself. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!? -Also side note true violet eyes only occur due to albinism. Aurora does not have albinism. Please authors do your research. -the ending and buildup to the big conclusion/fight was rushed, disappointing, and kinda cringe
Sorry for shouty caps but I mean cmon. I love some of this authors books but some of them just feel lazy but also so detailed. Leaves me feeling weird as hell. Would I read again? Probably not, but I did enjoy it enough to finish!!! There were positives but so many negatives I struggled.
****I did rate the series 3.5 ⭐️ because it was enjoyable, the characters were interesting, and it kept (most) of my attention through a 5 book series.
This series was 👏🏼👏🏼! Bully romance, enemies-to-lovers, second chance, forced proximity, college secret society, reverse harem, mommy 𝘢𝘯𝘥 daddy issues, daughter of a serial unaliver, and 4 athletic alphaholes? Yup, I was summoned by the demons. And I have no regrets 😮💨
I loved how each MMC was an alphahole and took bullying to the next level. I thought we’d have your typical cinnamon role and golden retriever. But NOPE. They made her worrrk for that kindness. And I absolutely 𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒𝒹 it. I also loved that this series feature POVs from every single character throughout the book, and it wasn’t just a sprinkle of the MMCs POVs. I’m a huge sucker for a male’s perspective.
Each character’s own journey and trauma had me hooked alone. Paired with seeing their relationship develop, their own individual growth, and the suspense from each character’s journey made this series SO GOOD! Aurora, Cain, Stellan, Remington, and Pax have just set new standards for accepting and loving someone for every single part of who they are. The good, the bad, and the crazy.
Like the last book, it got increasingly difficult to suspend reality and just enjoy this book for what it was. There were still lots of things I liked. The humour was fun and the steam was very steamy. The epilogue was sweet. I’m glad to have read the whole series - I don’t think I could have handled it if it was drawn out for another book.
Aurora had finally found the mother who had abandoned her after all these years and now she was being taken away from her again. Her father has escaped from prison and has taken her mother's captive. He threatens to kill her mother in hopes that by taking all the connections that Aurora has formed or reformed that it would bring back the bloodthirsty daughter he had groomed. In the pursuit of trying to play the game of the Demon's making the man starts stealing her lovers away one by one. First Paxton, then Remington, Stellan, and finally Cain. His aim is to leave Aurora alone in the world so she can remember who she was before all of them with her life. Add to that these memories that keep popping up in her mind that seem so real but she can't understand why she would ever be that vicious. Can she find a way to defeat her father, free her men and mother, and discover what of her past she has forgotten?
There were a lot of inconsistencies in the finale that left me feeling unfulfilled when I finished the book. One such instance was when Aurora had been fine with her mother abandoning her and forgave her for the action but then after its discovered why she abandoned her she suddenly grows cold to her mother. To the extreme of not really caring what happened to her in the end. That sort of flip should have really had more of a hard hitting reason than the one given. Like she abandoned her because she hated her and was selfish. The reason the authors chose didn't sit well with me and felt simplistic which wouldn't make Aurora react in such a way I wouldn't think.
Second issue I had was in how quickly they steamrolled through this dark secret from Aurora's past. They touched on it and hinted to it through out the series but to have it suddenly remembered the minute a TV was turned on seems a bit rushed. Wouldn't these memories be stronger than just a terrible case of deja vu whenever she let loose violently on someone? And I would have liked a little more back story around those memories and what she did and why she did it explained to me so I could figure out why she thought her men would be so disgusted by her antics when they had seen her do a lot of bad things and not batted an eye.
I did like Aurora and the guys starting to explore their dynamic a little more. The jealous and the in-fighting dried up and they all started to accept that this was something they were going to have to deal with or lose Aurora completely. There were some points where I could have sworn there would be some sword-crossing but they remained pretty platonic towards each other while devoting all their attention to Aurora.
Overall, I felt the series spread out a bunch of situations and trials then rushed through the ending. I realize the series was five books long and it needed to be thinned out to accommodate that number of books but the ending was just too neat and clean to the point of losing some of the character traits for the characters that made them who they were. By far the most disappointing of the books but not the worst one I have read this year.

Book Description: With my mother in the Demon’s clutches, I’ll do almost anything to buy her more time. Like make a deal with the Demon. I’ll pay him with an enemy’s death for my mother’s life. Long ago, dear old dad took me on a camping trip with his serial killer bestie before he broke their pinkie promises. Now the Demon wants the man dead. My Favorite Quote: “‘You’re mine, and I’m going to use you for my pleasure,’ he told me. ‘ANd I’m going to still be using you for my pleasure if it means the world fucking burns.’”
A showdown between Aurora and the Demon is imminent. But how far will the Demon go to bring Aurora home?
Just like with Burn for Me, Make Me Queen made me appreciate all the little details about our MCs.
These four men have grown so much since book one. They went from being her tormentors to loving everything about Aurors, “monster” and all.
My heart absolutely melted watching Cain work through his feelings for Aurora. Feelings really haven’t been something to worry about in the past, but Aurora is the only one who broke past his barriers and accepted him for the man he is.
I LOVED that Aurora was the MC in charge of saving those around her as opposed to your typical white knight storyline. The skills she learned from the Demon really shined in this book.
And of course it wouldn’t be a C.R. Jane book without next-level banter. We already know Remington has a sassy mouth, but the rest of them, even during this difficult time, are getting more audacious and I am 100% here for it.
This series has been incredible, but I wish the ending was stronger. While everyone gets their HEA, I expected something more out of the box for them. I do, however, understand why C.R. and May went this route.
Make Me Queen is perfect for readers who enjoy the spiciest of spice, an empowered woman who is not your average FMC, and four MMCs who would burn the world down just to see their woman smile.
Oh I am happily waving the big red flag over here! Face it, if you like romance, sweet, kind and happily perfect stories-fluffy ....THEN MOVE ALONG SWIFTLY!!!! This book/series is certainly NOT for you!!!!
“We’ll follow you into the darkness, baby. Wherever you want us to go.”
The Demon has escaped and is playing the deadly puppeteer. He’s making his little girl dance and slice everyone that’s crossed him down. And now the demon is playing games with her lovers.
Only those strings are about to be snapped. The Demon raised her and now he is going to see what kind of monster he has created.
Aurora is done playing by his rules of this game. He may be holding all the cards wearing a wicked smile knowing that his little girl is coming home. Aurora will be the one coated in his evil blood in the end…it’s only a matter of time…he created her after all.
But, will Aurora lose herself to the darkness and those she loves in the process?
“I’m the monster you thought I was all along.”
WOWOWOWOWOW!!!
What a conclusion this book turned out to be! I’ve loved reading this series. The Aurora story has become unbelievably unique and her men have been such a surprise.
I think we’ve been waiting for the Demon to really come into it and the last book he certainly comes to life. Aurora's character has been changing throughout, her past being gradually appearing of what we know and as it turns out there is way more than meets the eye. Aurora is a very strong female character, she needs to be after everything she’s been through as a child and now dealing with her four men.
Cain, Remy, Pax and Stellan <3 <3 <3 <3 Each one will leave you hot and wanting, they have also developed throughout the series and now everything is coming into fruition. A lot is happening, family ties, dead ends and the power struggle.
The relationship between all of these character has always been strong, the sex…my gosh hell f***ing yesssssssss!!!! But, in this final book those bonds really will be pushed and pulled in many directions. A rollercoaster of emotions, tense pages that you will grip and hold your breath…
Can they survive the Demon game…what will it cost?
If you haven't read the previous books in this series. STOP! Go back and read them, this series needs to be read in order.
From the beginning Aurora has been struggling with her identity. Becoming Aurora was leaving behind her life with her serial killer father, and also what she had done at his bidding. Now the Demon has her mother and in order to keep her alive she will have to become Delilah once more.
It's far more than though, it starts an internal conflict that Aurora isn't sure she can overcome. Remington helps to locate her 'uncle' Carnage and the others are all very supportive of her. Once her mission for the Demon is done, her mother is relatively safe, but they still need to find where the Demon is keeping her.
If locating the Demon isn't enough, there's still Cain's father to be dealt with. An invitation to dinner leads to far more than that. He cuts off Cain and blows up the lake house.
Pax decides to fight again to get them fluid cash. He wins the fight and they get a hotel suite. There are very sizzling scenes there and yet Paxton and Cain can't sleep.
Paxton decides to get something special for Aurora delivered to the hotel.
The Demon has taken Paxton, and this is just one of many plans the Demon has for her.
Not to mention, there's still the problem of Cain's father.
This book is fast paced, and action packed as Cain makes his first move against his father. The Demon continues to collect Aurora's men, The next one is Remington, and shortly followed up by Stellan.
Aurora takes much into her own hands, as she fights for the life she wants with her guys.
This is truly a hair-raising and perfect conclusion to this series, Bravo!
Wow what a epic conclusion to this series. Love all of the things Aurora does to get to the demon. Love watching her grow into the person she was meant to be. The boys all grow and change into his book as well. Loved all the plot twists and the ending was awesome.
Wow! Just wow! Aurora is a damaged character who pulls it together when needed. Her men are epic. Flawed but loving and supportive. The world these authors built had me wishing I could be there. The adventure had me on the edge of my seat. I could not put this down and no one will disappointed in this read. I highly recommended this one and am looking forward to future collaborations by these two. Definitely a must read adventure. Well done!
I devoured this book after waiting for so long for it to come out! We finally got to see Aurora get her happily ever after and it was everything. My favorite part of this book, hands down was Cain. I was missing him in the last book so I loved getting so much more of his perspective here. Aurora has fought hard and finally comes face to face with the Demon. It had me on the edge of my seat, and WOW the spice was absolutely a 10/10.
The big issues for me was the plot holes and lack of tying things up. The kidnapping of her men really didn’t work for me, because WHY did they not use Paxton’s tracker? We see him give himself one in book 4 so she could always find him…………………??????? Not to mention, they gave her MOM a tracker too! Who was with Paxton! Okay so this was 2 opportunities to find them way way quicker than they did. I mean, it took WEEKS.
Also, how did they survive so long without food? These were all my thoughts while Aurora was having sexy times with each guy before they were kidnapped too, so it was kind of distracting. I would’ve enjoyed the scenes way more I think if it wasn’t so long they had been separated from her. The end scene with the demon was a tiny bit lackluster but at that point I was just happy to see Aurora finally get a leg up.
Have I mentioned Cain is my favorite? He will be in my head on repeat for months. He’s quite possibly one of my favorite RH characters ever written.
Okay last plot hole, I would’ve loved to see her dads apprentice die. He escaped after stabbing Aurora in the prior books after trying to marry her. He’s the one who killed Stellan’s sister. Honestly, I wish they would’ve just killed him in that scene since it was just left wide open and never brought up again.
Overall though this was the perfect way to end the series. I loved seeing Aurora graduate and absolutely can’t wait for a further out epilogue scene in the newsletter. Had the plot holes not been there this would’ve been a 5/5.
As much as I love dark romance RH’s I really need to stop reading them if two authors co-wrote the series. Because it just ended up as the first series that halfway through I mentally was placing bets on who would actually reasonably stay with Aurora at the end.
None of them ever really meshed together, minus Pax and Aurora but I swear I was begging for scraps of them once they finally wrote him with a personality in book 3/4. So here’s my rankings on the order that they would have left a few years after the completion of the story.
1. Remington would obviously be the first to move on. Minus his weird dad. He was the most adjusted and honestly just felt like he was there for the ride.
2. Stellan. After finally going to therapy over the death of his sister and realizing he trauma bonded with Aurora. He should have left to go play professional soccer. (The sport we all collectively forgot he played until this book.)
3. Pax would hold out until the very end until he met a sweet idk barista…
Leaving Cain and Aurora. Since let’s be honest the only time they would have a scene together… it was sexual. Like Cain from book one please return, like when you were a dick but at least he still had conversations. But it’s obvious he’s who the authors loved the most. I think they both deserved to be together the most and the other boys were just there to help her grow from a girl who was trained to be a killer with no chance of a childhood or any form of relationship to an adult woman
Also it took me forever to finish this book because I kept getting the ick from it. Which is unfortunate. I again understand it’s a spicy “dark romance” but why are they literally ALWAYS HORNY IN THE WORST SITUATIONS?! “Oh no X amount of my boyfriends are being held hostage by my serial killer father who I have been living in fear of…..let’s literally bone? Which is why I stick to my theory that all but two of those boys would actually stay with her for the long run.
